THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO PERFORM THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. MY CAR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM GOES CRAZY. THE WIPERS GO ON AT A VERY FAST SPEED ALONG WITH THE FLUID SPEWING OUT AT A VERY FAST RATE. THE HORN GOES OFF WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO STOP IT. THE SCREEN WHERE I SEE THE RADIO CHANNELS AND THE BACK-UP CAMERA FLASHES UNCONTROLLABLY. THE REAR WIPER GOES OFF AND THE FLUID ALSO JUST POURS OUT. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3X'S. THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING THE TIME I BROUGHT IT IN. THIS LAST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS ABLE TO RECORD IT VIA MY PHONE. I HOPE NOW BY THE DEALERSHIP SEEING IT THEY WILL SEE WHAT'S WRONG. I SAW A REPORT ON CBS NEWS ON AUG. 27TH. AND SAW THAT A WOMAN WHO HAD THE SAME ISSUE ALSO HAD A FEW ITEMS REPLACED BECAUSE OF THIS ONE BEING THE FUEL PUMP. MY FUEL PUMP HAS NOW BEEN REPLACED, LIKE HER, I WONDER IF THIS IS ALL DUE TO TIPM? THANK YOU. *TR

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE DETENTS RECALL NOTICE PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE IGNITION WAS REPLACED ON AUGUST 27, 2014, PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE RECALL NOTICE. THE REPLACEMENT PART DID SOLVE THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE MODULE USED FOR THE REPAIR WAS THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL ONE. THE CONSUMER CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE STALLING ISSUES. *JB

THERE IS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. THE PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE. I RECEIVED MY NOTICE IN AUGUST, 2014. I HAVE E-MAILED THEM TWICE AND THE PARTS STILL HAVE NOT BEEN PRODUCED. WHY????? MY CAR "COULD CAUSE UNINTENDED ENGINE SHUT OFF AND THE PASSIVE RESTRAINT SYSTEMS, INCLUDING THE AIRBAGS TO SHUT OFF. VEHICLE ACTED UP FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, WOULD START FINE THEN I WOULD TURN IT OFF, NEXT TIME IT WOULD NOT START. WOULD WAIT A WHILE AND THEN IT WOULD START. FINALLY WENT TO START AND IT WOULD NOT AT ALL. HAD IT TOWED AND IT TOOK TWO DAYS TO HAVE A NEW WIN MODULE AND TWO NEW FOBS REPLACED CHARGED $600.00 NOW I HAVE TO HAVE THEM REPLACED AGAIN BECAUSE OF RECALL R03 THAT REPLACES L25. CHRYSLER SAYS IT IS NOT THE SAME PROBLEM SO NO REIMBURSEMENT AND HAVE TO REPLACE AGAIN BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE NEW WIN PART LAST YEAR, SO I FEEL THEY BASICALLY CHARGED ME FOR A DEFECTIVE PART BUT THEIR INVESTIGATION SAYS IT IS NOT THE SAME PROBLEM THEY ARE RECALLING BUT IT IS THE EXACT SAME PART. I REALLY LIKE MY VAN BUT WILL NOT BE PURCHASING ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT, I WAS LOOKING FOR A NEW VEHICLE WHEN I RECEIVED THIS RECALL, BUT SINCE ALL OF THIS APPARENTLY I DO NOT MATTER TO THIS COMPANY AND I WILL BE TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

THE SERVICE ADVISOR WAS UNABLE UNSUCCESSFUL AT REMOVING THE KEY. THE ADVISOR INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THEY WOULD HAD TO BE LEFT TO MAKE THE REPAIRS. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE REPAIR THEY MADE DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AND THERE WOULD NEED TO BE AN ADDITIONAL REPAIR AT A COST OF $ 612.50 AND THE VEHICLE WOULD BE UNAVAILABLE FOR 13 DAYS. BECAUSE THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONSUMER CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS WITH THE IGNITION AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE MADE. *JB

DRIVING WITH WIFE AND 4 KIDS AND CAR WENT OFF WITHOUT ANY WARNING. LUCKILY, THERE WERE NO CARS DIRECTLY BEHIND ME. THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME CAR SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEED TO BE RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY. WILL NOT CONTINUE TO DRIVE WITH THE FAMILY TIL THIS IS RESOLVED. THE VAN SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING OVER A DOZEN TIMES IN THE PAST 3 WEEKS. IT ONLY OCCURS WHILE DRIVING IN SLOW SPEEDS AND HAPPENS WHEN FIRST STARTING THE VAN AND WHILE PARKING. THE ENTIRE CAR SHUTS OFF AND I LOSE POWER STEERING AND THE VAN GOES DEAD. MECHANIC CANNOT REPLICATE PROBLEM. MAINTENANCE IS SCHEDULED REGULARLY AND GAS IS ALWAYS AT A HALF A TANK. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE WARNING BELL SOUNDS, THEN THE AIR BAG WARNING ICON LIGHTS, THEN ALL OTHER WARNING ICONS LIGHT, THEN ALL GAUGES GO DEAD FOR ABOUT A SECOND, THE THE FRONT WIPERS SWIPE 2-4 TIMES. AFTER THAT, IF THE AIR BAG WARNING ICON LIGHT STAYS ON, THE ENTIRE PROCESS WILL REOCCUR EVERY FEW MINUTES. SOMETIMES IT WILL STOP AFTER A FEW ITERATIONS, SOMETIMES IT WILL GO ON FOR HOURS. THE PROBLEM SEAMS TO BE MORE PREVALENT AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PARKED IN THE HOT SUN. SOMETIMES, DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY'S NEGATIVE CABLE FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES WILL RESET IT UNTIL IT IS PARKED IN THE SUN. *JS

THE DEALER DID NOT GIVE A SPECIFIC DATE FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. MY WIFE WENT TO THE CAR TO UNLOCK IT THE HORN BEGAN BLARING, LOCKS GOING UP AND DOWN, LIGHTS FLASHING, WIPER FLUID SPRAYING EVERYWHERE, AND THE CAR ACTUALLY STARTED UP W/O THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND WE DO NOT HAVE A REMOTE STARTER ON THE VEHICLE. I ARRIVED AND REMOVED THE BATTERY CABLE AND IT ALL STOPPED. AFTER A FEW MINUTES I REPLACED THE CABLE AND WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE WITHOUT INCIDENT. I WAS DRIVING IT HOME AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STARTED DOING THE SAME THING BUT THE CAR CUT OFF AND I LOST ALL STEERING AND BRAKING ABILITY BUT WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE PARKWAY I WAS ON. I REMOVED THE CABLE AND REPLACED IT AND DROVE HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT TOOK THE KEY OUT BUT THE VAN WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. ONE NIGHT OF THE ISSUE WE WERE AWAKENED BY THE VEHICLES HORN AND WHEN I WENT OUTSIDE IT WAS DOING THE SAME THING AND THE CAR WAS RUNNING IN THE DRIVEWAY. SHE REFUSES TO DRIVE IT AND NOW WE ARE STUCK WITH A USELESS VEHICLE SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY.. FED UP WITH THIS SITUATION THERE NEEDS TO BE SOMEONE HELD ACCOUNTABLE, DEALERSHIP WAS NO HELP AT ALL!! CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY 2008 VAN HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR SOME TIME NOW. THE VAN HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP(S) WELL OVER 10+ TIMES REGARDING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS. I HAVE VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM ALSO. CHRYSLER'S TECH ENGINEERS AT CHRYSLER CORPORATE HAVE BEEN INVOLVED TO ALSO HAVING A CHRYSLER CORPORATE ENGINEER LOOK AT THE VAN AT ONE OF THE DEALERSHIPS IN PERSON. THE VAN HAS BEEN AT DEALERSHIP FOR OVER 2 MONTHS TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP NOW HAS HAD IT FOR OVER A MONTH (STILL AT DEALERSHIP NOW) WITH SIMILAR AND SAME PROBLEMS WE HAVE HAD WITH THE VAN FOR YEARS. THE DEALERSHIP NOW CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT'S GOING ON, CHRYSLER TECH ENGINEERS CORPORATE ARE INVOLVED AGAIN AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT WHAT IS GOING ON. THE PROBLEMS I EXPERIENCED INCLUDED: 1. CAR STOPPING WHILE DRIVING 2. IGNITION STICKS AND TURNS FOR EXTENDED PERIOD, THEN STARTS 3. IGNITION DOES NOT START, JUST CLICKS, THE STARTS AFTER SEVERAL TRIES. I PUT IN NEW STARTER FOR $400 THAT DID NOT FIX IT. CHRYSLER RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT OF THE WIN MODULE AT MY COST OF $800 TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. SAID REPAIR SHOULD FIX ALL OF THIS ISSUES. THEY SAID IT WAS WARRANTY REPAIR AND TO SEND IN PAYMENT RECEIPTS FOR REIMBURSEMENT. IT APPEARS THAT THIS WAS A RECALL FROM 2011 UNDER THE SAME L25. THIS REPAIR WAS DONE ON 8/22/2014 AND DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. HAVE NOT BEEN REIMBURSED. CHRYSLER THEN ACKNOWLEDGED ANOTHER UPDATED L25 RECALL AND THAT THE FIX WILL PERMANENTLY REPAIR VAN AND FIX ALL ISSUES. THEY SENT OFFICIAL RECALL NOTICE UNDATED BUT RECEIVED BY ME ON 9/15/2014. PARTS TO PERMANENTLY FIX THIS DEFECT ARE UNAVAILABLE CURRENTLY. I HAVE NOT DRIVEN THE VEHICLE SINCE 9/5/2014 BECAUSE I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN IT, AS IT HAS STOPPED ON THE ROAD PREVIOUSLY. THE LETTER STATES THAT VEHICLE MAY STOP, INCREASING THE RISK OF CRASH AND INJURY, BUT THAT I SHOULD GO AHEAD AND DRIVE IT ANYWAYS. WHAT!! AS A RESPONSIBLE AND SAFE PERSON, I CHOOSE NOT TO DRIVE THIS RATHER THAN TAKE THE RISK. HOW CAN YOU ISSUE RECALL BUT NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX IT? THEY DO NOT EVEN HAVE A TIME FRAME. HOW CAN I EXPEDITE RECALL REPAIRS? WHAT LEGAL RECOURSE DO I HAVE? I DON'T WANT THIS CAR ANYMORE. WILL IT BE SAFE EVEN WHEN THEY FINALLY GET THE PROPER PARTS AND REPAIR IT? MY TOWN AND COUNTRY IS INVOLVED IN THE L25 RECALL. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHERE DURING OPERATION, THE KEY MOVES FROM THE "ON" POSITION. THIS CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO SHUT OFF AND I AM UNABLE TO STEER OR ENGAGE THE BRAKES. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER SEVERAL TIMES ABOUT THIS AND TO RECEIVE AN ESTIMATED TIME OF WHEN THE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. I CONTACTED THEM TODAY, 1/6/2015 TO LET THEM KNOW THAT IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND I ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. I ALSO REQUESTED FOR THEM TO PROVIDE ME WITH A SAFE VEHICLE TO DRIVE WHILE WAITING ON THE PARTS FOR REPAIR DUE TO THE CONCERN I HAD FOR THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN AND OTHER DRIVERS. THEY SAID THAT IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE BECAUSE THEY DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THIS DISREGARD FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AND THE PUBLIC IS UNACCEPTABLE. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT THEY STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS IN EFFECT. I THEN CONTACTED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO STATED THAT NOT ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES HAD BEEN IDENTIFIED YET AND I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT (FOR AN UNDETERMINED PERIOD OF TIME) UNTIL THEY IDENTIFY MY CAR AS BEING INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. USED BRAKES AT END OF DRIVEWAY, THEN STARTED DRIVING AND ALL 4 BRAKE RELATED LIGHTS CAME ON - ABS LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, BRAKE LIGHT, ESP BAS LIGHT. ALL 4 LIGHTS REMAINED ON. THEY WERE NOT ON WHEN CAR INTIALLY STARTED, BUT CAME ON IMMEDIATELY AFTER USING THE BRAKES FOR THE 1ST TIME. ALWAYS REMAINED ON UNTIL CAR WAS TURNED OFF. TOOK CAR TO SHOP NEXT DAY AND THE DIAGNOSTIC SHOWED THE ANTI LOCK MODULE WAS FAILING. NOT OVERLY SAFE TO DRIVE YOUNG KIDS AROUND, SO WE WENT AHEAD WITH THE REPAIR. CHRYSLER INFORMED THE SHOP THAT THEY SELL ROUGHLY 15 OF THESE PARTS A WEEK. SHOP QUESTIONED WHY THEY WERE NOT RECALLED AS THAT # IS QUITE HIGH. TOOK VEHICLE IN TO MY SHOP TO SERVICE REAR BRAKES, THEY WERE GRINDING. I EXPECTED TO HAVE TO REPLACE PADS AND ROTORS. WE HADN'T DONE IT IN THE 40K MILES WE'VE OWNED IT AND DIDN'T HAVE IT'S SERVICE HISTORY PRIOR TO THAT. THE MECHANIC FOUND THE REAR BRAKES HAD BEEN FROZEN CLOSED FOR "A LONG TIME." DUE TO THIS, HE SAID TEMPS HAD GOTTEN SO HOT BACK THERE THAT THE BRAKE HOSES WERE EXTREMELY WARPED AND THE BRAKE FLUID HAD TURNED TO SLUDGE. I HAD TO REPLACE THE HOSES, CALIPERS, PADS, AND ROTORS AND FLUSH THE BRAKE SYSTEM FLUID.
