THE CAR HAS CUTOFF A FEW TIMES WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT A FEW MINUTES BEFORE IT WOULD START UP. WHEN YOU TURN THE STEERING WHEEL SO FAR IT MAKES A WINING NOISE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE STEERING AND BRAKES FAILED. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER ONE ATTEMPT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (KEN NELSON LOCATED ON 1100 N GALENA AVE, DIXON, IL 61021), BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.

AT A SLOW SPEED OF ABOUT 5 TO 10 MPH, MY VEHICLE WOULD SHUT OFF LEAVING ME WITH NO POWER BRAKES, POWER STEERING, AND IN THE PATH OF CARS BEHIND ME ALMOST HITTING ME AS WELL. IT ALWAYS HAPPENS WHEN I AM TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT AT A SLOW SPEED. I HAVE HAD THE WIRELESS IGNITION CONTROL MODULE, BATTERY, AND KEY FOB REPLACED ALREADY BY THE DEALER.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS, BETWEEN THE MILES OF 78,000 AND 97,000, WE HAVE EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE (OVER 2 DOZEN) EVENTS WHERE THE VEHICLE WILL LOSE ALL POWER. MOST OCCASIONS OCCUR AS WE ARE COMING TO A STOP OR ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A STOP. THE DASH LIGHTS USUALLY, BUT NOT ALWAYS, START TO FLASH JUST PRIOR TO THE EVENT OCCURRING. WHEN WE LOSE POWER, IT IS A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER. EVEN THE RADIO AND CLOCK NEED RESET AFTER THE INCIDENT. THE EVENTS HAVE HAPPENED DURING ALL TYPES OF WEATHER, WHEN THE VAN IS COOL OR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR HOURS. MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS HAVE WORKED TO FIX THE ISSUE, BUT NOTHING HAS RESOLVED IT. O2 SENSORS, EGR VALVE, ABS MODULE, A THROTTLE BODY CLEANING, AND THERMOSTATS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. ONLY FOR THE STALLING TO OCCUR AGAIN. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN UP TO THE CHRYSLER CORPORATE PEOPLE AND A DEALER IN CLEVELAND ACTUALLY HAD VAN FOR 3 WEEKS, BUT COULD NOT FIX ISSUE. AT THIS POINT CHRYSLER HAS WIPED THEIR HANDS OF THE ISSUE. THE VAN IS AT DEALER AGAIN NOW, BECAUSE IT STALLED OUT 4 TIMES LAST WEEKEND. OF COURSE THEY FIND NO CODES AND CANNOT REPLICATE THE STALLING SO THEY WANT TO DO ANOTHER THROTTLE BODY CLEANING. THEY HAVE TOLD TO US TO GET THE VAN TOWED THE NEXT TIME IT STALL WITHOUT TURNING IN BACK ON. EASY FOR THEM TO SAY BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT STALLED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION AT 5:30PM ON THURSDAY OR ANOTHER INTERSECTION THE SUNDAY EVENING OF NEW YEARS DAY. I AM FED UP WITH THE VEHICLE AND BEING TOLD THEY CAN DO NOTHING FOR US. I DO NOT WANT TO PUT MY FAMILY IN HARMS WAY ANY LONGER. THE SHEAR NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS FOR THIS ISSUE ON THESE VANS IS ALARMING. HOW CAN A COMPANY CONTINUE TO PUT A PRODUCT OUT THAT PLACES PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN, IN SUCH DANGER. THE ONLY OTHER ISSUE FOR ME IS THAT PRICING OF OTHER MINIVANS (TOYOTA & HONDA) MAKES IT HARD TO LEAVE THE CHRYSLER MODELS.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE GLADSTONE DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP AND RAM DEALER LOCATED ON 5610 N OAK TRAFFICWAY, GLADSTONE, MO 64118, WAS CONTACTED AND AN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO NOTIFIED BY THE DEALER THAT THE BATTERY AMPERAGE WAS A BIT LOW, BUT SHOULD NOT HAVE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT FLASHED AND THEN THE CAR COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING. I CONTACTED MOPAR WHO SAYS IT IS NOT A KNOWN ISSUE, BUT IT OBVIOUSLY IS. HTTP://WWW.CARCOMPLAINTS.COM/CHRYSLER/TOWN_COUNTRY/2010/ENGINE/ENGINE_STALLS_SHUTS_DOWN_WHILE_DRIVING.SHTML. I BELIEVE MOPAR SHOULD INVESTIGATE RECALL THESE VEHICLES.
VALVE STEM WAS CRACKED, AND TIRE WAS SLOWLY LOSING INFLATION. THOUGHT IT WAS A NAIL AND DROVE IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE MY APPT. TO GET IT LOOKED AT. WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A MAJOR MANUFACTURING PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. LUCKY I WAS NOT ON THE ROAD WHEN IT TOTALLY BROKE AND DEFLATED THE TIRE ON THE SPOT. FIXED THE ONE AND WAS TOLD I SHOULD REPLACE THEM ALL. VERY COSTLY REPAIR. NOW MY WARNING WILL NOT GO AWAY AND WAS TOLD THIS TOO IS A PROBLEM. SO I WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE WARNING EVEN THOUGH IT IS ALL WORKING OKAY.
FOR SOME TIME, MY VAN HAS BEEN "MISSING" OR SPUTTERING (NOT RUNNING CORRECTLY) AT ABOUT 35-40 MPH. ACCELERATION WOULD SEEM TO MAKE IT GO AWAY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR AT LEAST A YEAR. I DIDN'T THINK TOO MUCH OF IT UNTIL THIS PAST SUNDAY, MAY 7, WHEN I WAS LEAVING MY HOUSE. ABOUT A BLOCK AWAY FROM HOME, I LOST POWER STEERING AND BRAKES, AND THEN REALIZED THE ENGINE HAD QUIT RUNNING. YESTERDAY I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON THE INTERSTATE. AS I WAS GOING DOWN AN ONRAMP, THE ENGINE AGAIN QUIT, CAUSING ME TO LOSE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. I WAS FREAKED OUT AS THERE WAS HEAVY TRAFFIC AND RUTS ON THE SHOULDER. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD. BOTH TIMES THE ENGINE STARTED RIGHT BACK UP AGAIN, BUT I DROVE "WHITE-KNUCKLED" ALL THE WAY HOME, AND IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE, NOT KNOWING WHEN IT MIGHT DIE AGAIN, AD FEARING THAT IF I WERE IN A HEAVIER TRAVELED LANE AND IT QUIT, I COULD BE STRUCK. I AM ANGRY AND APPALLED THAT THERE IS NO RECALL ON THE TIPM WHICH MY MECHANIC TELLS ME IS THE PROBLEM. IT IS COSTING ME IN EXCESS OF $1,300 TO HAVE IT REPLACED AND THERE IS NO WARRANTY THAT I AM AWARE OF THAT COVERS THIS. THIS COULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY RISK IF A VEHICLE JUST QUITS GOING DOWN THE ROAD IN HEAVY TRAFFIC.
WINDOWS ON BOTH DRIVERS SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE, THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE WILL CEASE TO FUNCTION. THE SIDE MIRRORS WILL ALSO NOT FUNCTION. WHEN YOU TRY, THEY DON'T WORK AND ALSO LIGHT UP THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS ( LOW TIRE, CHECK ENGINE, ETC. ALL IDIOT LIGHTS. THIS CAN ALL BE GOING ON IN ALL MODES. PARKED DRIVING DAY OR NIGHT. IT ALL STARTED ON THE DATE BELOW. IT STILL EXISTS TO THIS DAY
WHEN I BEGIN TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE WITHIN THE FIRST FEW HUNDRED FEET OR MINUTE OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. ONCE THE VEHICLE COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP I CAN RESTART IT AFTER THE SECOND ATTEMPT. I AM USUALLY ON A CITY STREET BUT HEADING TOWARDS A MAJOR HIGHWAY (GARDEN STATE PARKWAY OR RT 1 OR RT 18). I HAVE INVOICES HOWEVER THE 3 DIFFERENT SERVICE STATIONS THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE AT THE CAR DEALERSHIPS SERVICE STATION. THIS VEHICLE SHUTTING OFF AT WILL HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE FEBRUARY 2017. AGAIN IT IS NOT CONSISTENT, I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE PUTTING MYSELF AND MY FAMILY AT RISK.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
MY CHRYSLER 2010 TOWN AND COUNTRY SHUTDOWN COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND ROADS. I TOOK IT TO SOUTHERN CHRYSLER JEEP. THEY REPLACED THE ERG VALVE FOR APPROXIMATELY $600. A WEEK LATER IT SHUTDOWN AGAIN. TOOK IT BACK TO THEM AND THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM THEY GAVE IT BACK SAID DRIVE UNTIL SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON. I DID THAT. THEY SAID THE CODES THAT WERE READ DID NOT CAUSE THE ISSUE. THEY KEPT THE VAN AND GOT GET TO SHUTDOWN ON THEM. NOW THEY SAID THAT IT "MIGHT" BE THE TIPM BOX FOR $1200. REPLACE THE BOX ON A MIGHT. THE SERVICE REP RECOMMENDED THAT I DID NOT GET IT FIX BECAUSE THEY ARE UNSURE THAT THIS IS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. HE RECOMMENDED THAT I TRADE IT IN AND BUY A CAR. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER CORPORATE OFFICE. ASSIGNED A CASE MANAGER THAT IS UNAVAILABLE UNTIL EVENING TIME WHEN I WORK. THEY WILL NOT ASSIGN ANOTHER CASE MANAGER. I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY VAN. SO NOW IT'S PAY$1200 FOR ANOTHER REPAIR THAT MAY NOT FIX THE PROBLEM OR COME GET THE VAN. I'M TRULY SCARED OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN IF I CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS HAZARDOUS CAR ON THE HIGHWAYS AND ROADS WITHOUT KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT'S WRONG. REPLACED THE TIPM BOX AND SHUTDOWN TWICE.
HEADLIGHTS RANDOMLY WON'T TURN ON, OR WILL FLICKER AND DIE WITH NO WARNING. TOGGLING THE SWITCH DOES NOTHING, I CAN ONLY GET THE FOG LIGHTS TO GIVE ME ANY LIGHT TO SEE BY. INITIAL PROBLEM OCCURRED IN THE DRIVEWAY, CAR WAS STATIONARY. HAVE HAD THEM GO OUT WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AS WELL.
FOR THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH MECHANICS ON FIQUIRING OUT WHY JUST DURING THE SUMMER IF I DRIVE THE VAN MUCH IT WON'T START LATER. I'LL HAVE TO WAIT FOR 15 TO 45 MINUTES BEFORE IT WILL START. A FEW TIMES IT HASN'T STARTED. I'VE CONTACTED CHRYSLER TO NO AVAIL. ITS BEEN DIAGNOSED AS A WCM PROBLEM BUT NO ONE IS FOR SURE AND CHRYSLER GIVE THE SAME ISSUE OF ITS NOT IN A RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE BE TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND DIAGNOSIS TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V139000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED NO RECOMMENDED SOLUTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
TIPM WENT BAD ON A VEHICLE WITH 75K MILES, RENDERING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND POWER DOOR LOCKS UNUSEABLE. ONE REPAIR TO REPLACE "SHORTED OUT" WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR WAS NOT EFFECTIVE.
THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKERED AND THEN STOPPED WORKING AT STARTUP IN BOTH AUTO AND MANUAL MODE, HIGHBEEMS ALSO DID NOT WORK. AFTER SITTING A WHILE THE HEADLIGHTS STARTING WORKING AGAIN THEN WITHOUT WARNING STOPPED WORKING AGAIN (TAIL LIGHTS, FOG LIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED). THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THE HEADLIGHT FAILURE HAS OCCURRED. I HAVE READ ON MESSAGE BOARDS THAT THIS HEADLIGHT ISSUE IS A RESULT OF A FAULTY TIPM.
THE VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF ON US 3 TIMES WHILE DRIVING. ALL POWER IS LOST AND WE NEARLY HAD MAJOR ACCIDENTS IN 2 CASES. WE CONTACTED CHRYSLER, CASE #31401025, BUT THEY ARE UNWILLING TO ASSIST. THEY DON'T BELIEVE KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. WE HAVE HAD ALL THE RECALL WORK DONE ON THIS VEHICLE, AND THEY ALLEGEDLY "FIXED" THIS PROBLEM BEFORE THE THIRD INCIDENT THIS MORNING. THIS VEHICLE IS A HAZARD TO MY FAMILY AND TO THE PUBLIC AND CHRYSLER IS UNWILLING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I WILL NEVER FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE AND I WANT THEM TO PAY ME TO TAKE IT OFF THE ROAD. THE GOVERNMENT ALSO NEEDS TO ISSUE ANOTHER RECALL.
WHEN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE IT CAN COMPLETELY STOP! NO ENGINE RUNNING, NO BRAKES, NO POWER STEERING, NO LIGHTS, NO EMERGENCY LIGHTS, YOU MUST COAST TO A STOP. THE KEY WILL NOT COME OUT THE GEAR SHIFT FREEZES ALSO. IF IT IS DARK YOU MUST JUMP OUT OF VEHICLE AND START WAVING AT ON COMING CARS, TO GO AROUND. IF IT DOES THIS AT A STOP IN AN INTERSECTION YOU MUST GET OUT AND WAIVE CARS AROUND. PEOPLE WANT TO CALL FOR SERVICE, BUT IF THEY CALL FOR SERVICE BY THE TIME THEY ARRIVE, IT MAY HAVE STARTED. THIS IS A WAIT AND SEE SITUATION! I CAN GO FOR A FEW DAYS, OR A FEW WEEKS, BUT IT ALWAYS HAPPENS AGAIN! I AM AFRAID FOR MY LIFE AND THE LIFE'S OF OTHERS ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT TIME DRIVING. I HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES. THEY HAVE EVEN KEPT IT FOR THREE DAYS, AND CLAIM NOTHING IS RUN! THEY TELL ME THAT THEY HAVE RUN EVERY TEST IMMAGINABLE, BUT CAN,T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THEY HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY. I HAVE HAD ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS CHECKED AND REPAIRED. I DEARLY LOVE THIS VAN, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO DIE IN IT! I HAVE READ OF HUNDREDS OF OWNERS OF THE SAME VEHICLE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME THING. MINE DID CUT OUT ON ME ON THE INTERSTATE AT 80 MPH, FORTUNATELY THE ROAD WAS STRAIGHT, AND HAD TO COAST TO A STOP, AND THEN YOU SIT AND WAIT UNTIL THE CAR DECIDES TO START AND RUN AGAIN! I AM READING WHERE PEOPLE ARE SPENDING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FIXING ONE THING THEN ANOTHER, YET THEY STILL HAVE A DEATH MOBILE! I AM NOT GOING TO STOP ON THIS ONE! I HEARD ABOUT THE KEY PROBLEM, BUT MY DEALER CLAIMS THEY FIXED THE KEY! I WAS ONLY GIVEN ONE KEY, AND I AM NOT GOING TO SPEND $150 ON A NEW KEY! I AM LUCKY TO MAKE THE PAYMENTS AS MY DEALER LAID ME AWAY ON INTEREST, AND I AM A 68 YEAR OLD DISABLED WIDOW TRYING TO SURVIVE ON SOCIAL SECURITY, AND I AM NOT READY TO DIE FOR CHRYSLER! CAN,T THE 100'S OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM DO A JOINT SUIT WITH CHRYSLER?
WHILE DRIVING DOWN A BUSY 5 LANE ROAD AROUND RUSH HOUR WITH MY THREE CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE, THE TOWN AND COUNTRY LOST POWER. TWICE. THIS CAUSED ME TO HAVE TO AVOID OTHER CARS AND FIND A WAY TO RESTART THE VEHICLE TO ENSURE WE DID NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. WHEN WE HAD THE VAN CHECKED OUT, IT WAS FOUND THAT WE HAD A FAULTY WIRELESS IGNITION MODULE (WIN MODULE). THIS PART WAS REPLACED IN MY MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE UNDER A RECALL BY CHRYSLER, BUT WE WERE INFORMED THAT OUR VIN DID NOT MATCH THOSE MANUFACTURED IN THE TIME PERIOD ATTRIBUTED TO THE RECALL. WE ARE REQUESTING THAT CHRYSLER EXPAND THE RECALL OF THE WIN MODULE TO INCLUDE THE FULL MODEL YEAR. THIS WAS A VERY SCARY INCIDENT FOR MY FAMILY, AND WITH IT BEING AN IDENTIFIED PROBLEM ALREADY, I FIND IT HARD TO SWALLOW THAT WE WERE FORCED TO PAY TO REPLACE A PART CHRYSLER KNEW TO BE FAULTY.
CAR TURNS OFF COMPLETELY RANDOMLY AT A LOW SPEED WHILE DRIVING. TURNS BACK ON. ITS VERY DANGEROUS. IT HAS HAPPENED ON STREETS AS WHILE AS ON THE FREEWAY. NOT SAFE WHILE DRIVING, ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND THIS HAPPENS A LOT WITH THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE. I HAVE TAKING IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP 3 OR 4 TIMES NOW. PAYLESS AUTO SALES IN TACOMA, WASHINGTON SOLD THE VAN TO ME. CHRYSLER IN TACOMA ALSO BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA FAILED TO REPAIR THE AIR BAGS, AND MOST OF THE REPAIRS THEY PERFORMED.
THIS VEHICLE EXPERIENCES INTERMITTENT ENGINE SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING. THERE IS NO INDICATION ON THE DASHBOARD PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING. THE VEHICLE IS ALWAYS IN MOTION AND IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN AT SLOWER SPEEDS. IT STARTS UP IMMEDIATELY AFTER THIS HAPPENS. THIS PROBLEM IS DESCRIBED IN SAFETY RECALL L25. I'VE CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY TELL ME THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I'VE HAD IT EXAMINED BY A DEALER AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE LAST 6 MONTHS. MOST RECENTLY IT HAPPENED ON 3/13/2017 AND 3/12/2017. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN THE DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT. MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER WILL NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS.

THIS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON THE EXPRESS WAY, APPROXIMATELY TRAVELING AT 70MPH DURING RUSH HOUR. TRANSMISSION REQUIRED MULTIPLE HARD PART REPLACEMENT. AFTER REBUILD TRANSMISSION HAD HARD SHIFTING WENT INTO LIMP MODE AGAIN AFTER 3 DAYS FROM SHOP, AGAIN WHILE ON EXPRESS WAY. CODES P0792, P0732, P0735, P0721. TRANSMISSION REQUIRED ANOTHER REBUILD THIS TIME AFTER 1 DAY OUT OF THE SHOP TRANSMISSION EXPERIENCED HARD SHIFTING HOWEVER THIS TIME WOULD NOT UP SHIFT STAYED IN 1ST GEAR. TRANSMISSION FLUID IS AT THE PROPER LEVEL FOR THE TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMP PER MANUFACTURE. CODES P0792, P0732 AND P0735 IS PRESENT. REPLACED SENSORS AND CLEARED CODES REPLACED TRANS FLUID. TRANS WORKED WOULD WELL FOR 6 MILES WHILE ON A MAJOR STATE ROAD, THEN WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP IT WOULD NOT UP SHIFT AGAIN AND THE SAME THREE CODES ARE PRESENT.

I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS PROBLEM, ON ONE WEBSITE THERE IS 49+ OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE, VAN IS STILL AT DEALERSHIP WAITING FOR THE PART AND CANNOT GUARANTEE ME THAT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM.

HEADLIGHT STOP WORKING WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT AND YOU CAN'T GET THEM TO TURN BACK ON. IT HAS HAPPENED 20 OR MORE TIME TO ME. IT HAS HAPPENED ALL READY ON VERY DARK ROADS IN THE COUNTRY, ON THE HIGHWAY OTHER TIMES, I WAS EVEN PULLED OVER FROM A POLICE OFFICER BEFORE TELLING ME TO PUT MY LIGHTS ON AND I SHOWED THEM THEY WERE ON BUT WEREN'T WORKING AGAIN. BUT WERE WORKING WHEN I LEFT MY HOUSE. THEN THE NEXT DAY THEY WILL WORK AGAIN WITH NO PROBLEM AND WORK FOR MONTHS THEN IT DOES IT AGAIN. ON 1/24/17 DRIVING AT ABOUT 25 MILES PER HOUR AND COMING TO A STOP, THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON EVEN THOUGHT IT WAS NOT RAINING, SNOWING, OR ICING. I THEN NOTICED THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING. I REALIZED THE ENGINE HAD SHUT DOWN. I COASTED TO A STOP ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD AND LUCKILY THERE WERE NO CARS COMING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP AND DROVE DIRECTLY TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY LOOKED AT IT AND SAID THEY THOUGHT IT WAS A NEW BATTERY ISSUE CAUSING AN ISSUE WITH THE COMPUTER. A MECHANIC LOOKED AT EVERYTHING AND COULD FIND NO ISSUES. NO CODES CAME BACK ON THE DIAGNOSTIC. THE MECHANIC RESET THE COMPUTER AND SAID IT WAS FIXED. ON 1/26/17 THE SAME THING HAPPENED. DRIVING AT ABOUT 25 MPG AND COMING TO A STOP LIGHT THE ENGINE AGAIN SHUT OFF AND I LOST POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. I TURNED THE KEY AND IT STARTED UP AGAIN. I DROVE HOME AND CALLED CHRYSLER. THE REP SAID NOT ENOUGH COMPLAINTS HAD BEEN ISSUED TO WARRANT A RECALL. THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY CONCERN WITH THE CAR SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE VAN COMPLETELY SHUTS DOWN. YOU NEED TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND RESTART. SINCE THIS VEHICLE IS STALLING ON THE ROAD WHILE IN MOTION, IN MANY INSTANCES IT LEADS NO NEAR COLLISION SITUATIONS. WE HAVE BEEN TO PRIVATE MECHANICS WE HAVE BEEN TO TWO DIFFERENT CHRYSLER DEALERS AND THEY HAVE CHECKED THE ERG VALVE AND THE KEY FOB, THE IGNITION SWITCH, THEY HAVE CHECK THE BATTERY, RAN DOWN ALL THE ELECTRICAL STUFF, THEY HAD IT FOR 2 DAYS LAST WEEK AND COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT. IT'S DIED ON MY 4 TIMES THIS WEEK. I HAVE FOUR KIDS AND I'M ALWAYS IN THE VAN AND NOW I'M SCARED TO DRIVE IT! WE CHECKED THE VIN AND THERE IS NO RECALL AS WE ALREADY DID THE VENT WINDOW. BUT THE RECALLS THAT ARE LISTED DESCRIBE EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING. SO CHRYSLER KNOWS AND DOESN'T CARE!
