TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE REGISTERED THE INCORRECT GEAR. PRIOR TO THAT, THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE DE-POWERED UNTIL AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION AND THE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE STARTED THREE WEEKS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AGAIN WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A 13MM NET WAS LOOSE, THE BOLT NEEDED TO BE TIGHTENED, AND THE WIRE HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 31511387. THE CONTACT TRIED TO RETURN THE VEHICLE FOR TRADE-IN OR REIMBURSEMENT, BUT WAS INFORMED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT CHRYSLER WOULD CONTINUE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE UNDER WARRANTY UNTIL THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,002.
OPERATING VEHICLE AT 65MPH ON I-81 ENGINE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. VEHICLE WAS IN AUXILIARY MODE. DIGITAL DRIVER DISPLAY WENT BLANK SHOWED ONLY DIRECTION AND TEMPERATURE. POWER STEERING GONE. I CHANGED TO RIGHT LANE, PULLED ONTO SHOULDER AND PLACED CAR IN PARK. I SUCCESSFULLY RESTARTED THE ENGINE. RENTAL VEHICLE ONLY ITEMS ON KEYCHAIN WERE 2 VEHICLE FOBS. DID NOT HIT KEY WITH KNEE. TANK WAS 7/8 FULL OF GAS. ON FAIRLY LEVEL STRETCH OF ROADWAY. NO ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS DISPLAYED. NO OIL OR TEMPERATURE WARNINGS. I HAD DRIVEN FROM LITTLE ROCK, AR TO NORTH OF ROANOKE, VA WHEN IT HAPPENED WITH NO PREVIOUS ISSUES. I DROVE ON TO MY DESTINATION OF CHARLOTTESVILLE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. VEHICLE IS OWNED BY EAC HOLDINGS LLC AND ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR COMPANY OF TEXAS. I AM GOING TO TURN CAR IN TO THEM FOR SAFETY REASONS
GAS TANK LEAKING DUE TO RUST
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V461000 (POWER TRAIN); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,500.
2016 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO LACK OF COMMUNICATION/ SERVICE AT DEALERSHIP WITH TRANSAXLE OIL PUMP RECALL REPAIRS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED A SEVEN HOUR RECALL JOB, TOOK EIGHT DAYS TO COMPLETE. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V461000 (POWER TRAIN) AND ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE A RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE EARLIEST REPAIR WOULD BE SEPTEMBER 9, 2016. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED AND WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A MORE REASONABLE TIME FRAME. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
PER THE RECALL, THE TRANSAXLE OIL PUMP MAY EXPERIENCE A LOSS OF PRESSURE WHILE DRIVING AND WILL RESULT IN A LOSS OF POWER AND COULD CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT THE VAN FROM NEW(L&M MOTORS IN ATHENS, TN), AND FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS THEY KEEP TELLING ME TO CALL BACK NEXT WEEK. I HAVE A FAMILY WITH TWO YOUNG BOYS. I BOUGHT THE VAN TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE SAFE, AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE WITH THEM RIDING IN IT. I DON'T HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO PARK THIS ONE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DON'T GIVE ME AN APPOINTMENT, AND ORDER THE PARTS FOR ME. FOR LESS THAN 10,0000 MILES WHEN I RECEIVED THE RECALL, I DON'T THINK MY FAMILY IS SAFE ANYMORE FOR SUCH A NEW VEHICLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
UPON PLUGGING A USB CABLE INTO THE PORT ON THE CENTER CONSOLE THERE WAS A SPARK AND A LOUD POP. AFTERWARDS IF THE TEMPERATURE GOT TOO HOT INSIDE THE CABIN THE UCONNECT SYSTEM WOULD REBOOT ON IT'S OWN, REGARDLESS OF IF THE VAN WAS IN MOTION OR STATIONARY. IN ADDITION THE PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK AT ALL AFTERWARDS. UPON TAKING THE VAN TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY IDENTIFIED BOTH ISSUES AS NEEDING A NEW RADIO AND A NEW LOCKING MECHANISM, BOTH OF WHICH WERE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED ON AUGUST 3, 2016 AND WAS DELIVERED TO THE CUSTOMER ON AUGUST 4, 2016. THE CONTACT LATER DISCOVERED THAT THE VIN HAD AN INCOMPLETE RECALL AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY, NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V461000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
ON JULY 30, 2016 I WAS SOLD A MINI-VAN WHICH HAD A RECALL ISSUED 2 DAYS PRIOR, ON JULY 28TH. THE DEALER HAS REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY SOLD ME A VEHICLE WITH AN ACTIVE POWER TRAIN DEFECT.
I WAS ATTEMPTING TO MOVE THE SECOND ROW BUCKET SEAT FORWARD. I PULLED ON THE SIDE OF THE SEAT AND THE ENTIRE SEAT FOLDED, INCLUDING THE HEADREST. MY HAND WAS NEAR THE HEADREST, AND WHEN THE HEAD REST CLOSED, MY FINGER WAS CAUGHT UNDER WHERE THE BARS THAT SUPPORT THE HEAD REST AND THE HEAD REST AND THE TIP OF MY FINGER WAS CRUSHED AND FRACTURED. WHEN THE HEADREST CLOSES THE IMPACT IS SO FORCEFUL. I DON'T HAVE A VIN SINCE THIS WAS A RENTAL.
CPSC: THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS BLINKING AND THE VAN KEPT STALLING. THEN THERE WAS THE PROBLEM WITH THE SLIDING DOOR FLEW OPEN WHILE DRIVING. *BF THE DEALER FOUND THE RIGHT SIDE SLIDING DOOR HANDLE BUTTON WAS STICKING. THEY REPLACED THE HANDLE AND RE-INSTALLED A TOP HINGE. THE CONSUMER HAD TO RETURN TO THE DEALER FOR A SECOND TIME, BECAUSE THE RIGHT SLIDING DOOR WAS MAKING A NOISE AND IT STILL WAS NOT LATCHING PROPERLY. AGAIN, THE DEALER ADJUSTED THE TOP DOOR ROLLER, CLEARED AND LUBED THE TRACKS. THE NEXT DAY, THERE WAS STILL A NOISE IN THE DOOR AND IT WAS STILL NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TOP, SLIDING ROLLER AGAIN. FOUR DAYS LATER, THE DOOR DIDN'T WORK AT ALL AND HAD NO MOTOR FUNCTION AND DID NOT WORK. *JB
AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT STAYS ON THE ENTIRE TIME WHILE DRIVING. IT HAS BEEN DOING THIS SINCE 50,000 MILES. OUR DEALER WAS NO HELP WITH THE SITUATION.
PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF CAR MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC SEEMS LIKE THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS IF NEED TO EXIT CAR QUICKLY AND CAN'T GET OUT
