TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE CHALLENGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR WINDOW OPENED AND CLOSED INTERMITTENTLY CAUSING THE BATTERY TO FAIL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE FAILURE FIRST OCCURRED, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ATLANTIC CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM DEALER, (555 SUNRISE HWY, WEST ISLIP, NY 11795, (631) 422-0123) WHERE THE DOOR LATCH MODULE WAS REPLACED. HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD TO GO THROUGH THE TRUNK TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,668.
CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE AS I WAS DRIVING IT THIS WAS 4 HOURS AFTER I PICKED IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP FOR GETTING THE TOURQUE CONVERTER FIXED. I THINK THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM THAT CAUSED IT. I WAS DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT ONLY GOING 7-10 MPH. DALLAS PD DOESN'T COME OUT IF IT'S ON PRIVATE PROPERTY I AM STILL WAITING MY FIRE REPORT IN THE MAIL. I HAVE UNSURE CLAIM NUMBERS FROM 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE. (CHRYSTLER. NATIONAL GENERAL INSURANCE. HARCO NATIONAL INSURANCE.)
THIS CAR HAS BEEN A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE, AND THE WORST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED. WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT IT WAS TAKEN TO THE SHOP WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH AND THEY REPLACED THE OIL SENDING UNIT, THEN THIS YEAR WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND WHEN ACCELERATING WITH THE RPM GOING ABOVE 3 THE CAR WOULD LOOSE POWER. I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AGAIN AND THEY DIDN'T FIX IT BUT UPDATED THE TRANSMISSION WHICH RESOLVED THE PROBLEM FOR A LITTLE WHILE. WELL TODAY THE TRANSMISSION STARTED AGAIN DOING THE SAME THING. I WILL HAVE TO TAKE THIS CAR BACK INTO THE SHOP. I'VE OWNED THIS CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW AND IT CURRENTLY HAS 60,250 MILES. I WAS ALWAYS A DODGE FAN BUT I THINK THIS CAR HAS CHANGED ME TO A DIFFERENT BRAND. *TR
POWER STEERING STARTED LEAKING AT ROUGHLY 60K MILES CAUSING STEERING ISSUES.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FOB BATTERY WAS REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20,000.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: ALTERNATOR::ONCE PUSH TO START IGNITION IS ACTIVATED VEHICLE WILL BEGIN TO RUN AND THEN STALL WITHOUT WARNING. IT HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET ALMOST NEARLY CAUSING AN COLLISION! VEHICLE HAS STALLED MORE THAN 10 TIMES SINCE PURCHASE. BATTERY CHECKED AND WAS CHECKED AND PASSED X3 CHECKS. ALTERNATOR WAS CHECKED AND VOLTAGE REG FAILED X3.
AT FIRST THE CAR WOULDN'T START SOF I HAD TO.PUMP THE BRAKES AND FORCE IT TO START UP. THEN I GET IT THE VEHICLE AND IT IS GOING NUTS THE LIGHTS ARE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. IT GOES FROM FULL TO EMPTY AND IT'S SAYS THE TCM IS OUT OR NEEDS SERVICE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 DODGE CHALLENGER. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INTERNAL INJURIES TO THE LUNGS, LOWER BACK, RIGHT KNEE, AND A CONCUSSION TO THE HEAD. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 25,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE CHALLENGER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED FORWARD AT A VERY HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE FAILURE WAS ALSO PRESENT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT. WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE FORWARD AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THREE SEPARATE DEALERS BEFORE THE FAILURE WAS DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER SENT MASTER MECHANICS TO EXAMINE THE VEHICLE, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE IDENTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,400.
DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LATCH KEEPS ACTIVATING THE WINDOW IN RESULTING IN A DEAD BATTERY, I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2011 DODGE CAHLLENGER SAME PART, I BELIEVE THAT IS DECTECTIVE ON MORE YEARS THAN 2011 THE JULIAN MAUFACTURE DATE OF LATCH IS 1023A DODGE WOULD NOT COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE I HAVE 47,000 MILES ON THE CAR AND NOT 36K-- I FEEL THEY KNOW THAT THE LATCH IS DEFECTIVE, THE COST OF THE REPAIR INCLUDING A NEW BATTERY WAS APRROX $500, I FEEL THAT DODGE IS TAKING ADAVANTAGE AND NOT WANTING TO OWN UP THANKYOU
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE CHALLENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BATTERY HAD TO CONSTANTLY BE CHARGED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS LEFT STRANDED MORE THAN ONCE. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW WENT UP AND DOWN ON ITS OWN AND WAS DRAINING THE POWER TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED AN UNKNOWN RECALL NOTICE TO SERVICE THE ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM ALBANY (701 E OGLETHORPE BLVD, ALBANY, GA 31705, (229) 518-3095) FOR THE REPAIR. SHORTLY AFTERWARDS, THE DRIVER'S WINDOW BEGAN GOING UP AND DOWN ON ITS OWN AND DRAINED THE POWER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT FURTHER REPAIRS WERE REQUIRED. THE CONTACT REPORTED THE FAILURES TO THE MANUFACTURER BEFORE AND AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR TO INDICATE THAT THE REMEDY FAILED TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED NO SOLUTION OTHER THAN HAVING THE DEALER REPLACE THE LATCH TO THE DOORS. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED 17 TSBS FOR THE ELECTRICAL AND THREE ELECTRICAL RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALER 3 TIMES SO FAR FOR FAILURE TO START. CAR WILL CRANK CONTINUALLY BUT NEVER START. EVENTUALLY THE CAR WILL SHUT ITSELF OFF. PCM WAS REPLACED ON FIRST REPAIR. CAR RAN FINE FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN THE PROBLEM RESURFACED. CAR WAS BROUGHT IN AGAIN FOR REPAID AND THE TIPM AS WELL AS SOME WIRING WAS REPLACED. CAR RAN FINE AGAIN FOR TWO DAYS AND THE PROBLEM RESURFACED. HAD THE CAR TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER BUT UPON RECEIVING THE CAR THE DEALER SAID THE CAR STARTED RIGHT UP WITH NO ISSUES. THE DEALER HAD THE CAR FOR TWO WEEKS IN AN ATTEMPT TO REPRODUCE THE FAILURE WITH NO SUCCESS. CAR WAS RETURNED TO ME WITH A SUGGESTION TO CALL THEM DIRECTLY THE NEXT TIME IT FAILS TO START.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE CHALLENGER EQUIPPED WITH MICHELIN PILOT MXM4 TIRES, SIZE: P235/55/R18 (NA). WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED CRACKS ON THE THREADS OF ALL FOUR TIRES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS CONFIRMED AND STATED THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 70 MILE THE CAR POWER WENT OUT ON ABS AND THEN ALL GAGES SHOWED ZERO, STEERING WENT OUT AND CAR SHUT OF COMPLETELY GOING AT 60 THEN. NO BRAKES NO STEERING ENGINE SHUTS OFF WAS SO SCARED .... CAR HAD TO COME TO A STOP ON IT OWN HAD STOPPED ON THE HIGHWAY
ABOUT 25% OF THE TIME, WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AT 40 MPH AND GRADUALLY PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR TO BEGIN A CLIMB UP A SLIGHT HILL, THE ENGINE RPM AND VEHICLE SPEED WILL NOT INCREASE, AND THE VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE TO RUN AT 40 MPH WITH ACCELERATOR POSITION INCREASING FROM 10% TO 80%. DURING THIS THROTTLE RESPONSE FAILURE, THE AUTO STICK SHIFT WAS USED TO DOWNSHIFT FROM 4TH TO 3RD GEAR, THE EVIC DISPLAY CHANGED TO 3RD GEAR BUT AND TRANSMISSION REMAINED IN 4TH. AFTER 8 SECONDS OF THROTTLE DELAY (TIMING MAY VARY), THE VEHICLE WILL DOWN SHIFT AND ACCELERATE. THIS UNPREDICTABLE THROTTLE RESPONSE HAS A POTENTIAL OF CAUSING AN ACCIDENT IF THIS THROTTLE RESPONSE FAILURE OCCURS DURING A SITUATION OF PASSING OR AVOIDING ANOTHER VEHICLE. I HAVE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DODGE DEALER ON NOV 2015 AND APR 2016, AND THEY TOOK IT FOR A TEST DRIVE AND CONCLUDED THAT THE VEHICLE IS FINE. THEY COULD NOT REPEAT THE FAILURE AND TOLD ME EVERYTHING IS NORMAL. DODGE WILL NOT, OR CANNOT FIX THE ROOT CAUSE OF THIS THROTTLE RESPONSE FAILURE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER PUMP HAD A HOLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT HAS BEEN COMING ON EVERY TWO WEEKS SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2015. I HAVE AN OPEN CASE WITH DODGE HOWEVER THE PROBLEM IS STILL OCCURRING AS OF TODAY. THEY SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS STATING THE HITCH IS THE ISSUE HOWEVER THE HITCH HAS BEEN REPLACED 6 TIMES. I AM UNSURE IF THIS IS AN RECALL ISSUE OR NOT HOWEVER I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED THAT I WILL NOT SURVIVE AN ACCIDENT OR THE AIR BAG WILL DEPLOY IN A MINOR SITUATION CAUSING SEVERE DAMAGE OR DEATH. THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY AS WELL AS IN MOTION.
I WAS DRIVING NORMAL SPEED AT 60 WHEN I PROCEEDED TO GET OVER I PUSH THE GAS A LITTLE BIT THE CAR RPM WHEN HIGH BUT THE CAR DID NOT SPEED UP I LOOKED AT THE DASH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON I TOOK IT TO HAVE IT SCANNED AT ADVANCE AUTO AND AUTO ZONE THEY BOTH GAVE ME THE SAME CODE OF P0741 THAT IS A TRANSMISSION CODE I DRIVE MY CAR DAILY TO WORK AND HOME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON 2 DAYS THEN GO OFF FOR ONE DAY THEN BACK ON IF U ACCELERATE THEN RELEASE THE PEDAL IT MAKE A HARD JERK FROM THE REAR END THIS IS NOT THE FIRST PROBLEM I HAD I BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW IN MARCH 2013 AND THE WINDOW SWITCH WENT OUT AND 2 MONTHS AGO THE AC CONTROL WENT OUT AND NOW THIS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM NOT ONLY THAT MY FIANCE JEEP IS 2014 WITH 29000 MILES ON IT AND THE HEATED SEATS NOT WORKING OR THE HEAT AND DON JACKSON IN UNION CITY GA HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT BEEN TRYING TO GET PARTS FOR 2 MONTHS FOR THE JEEP TO SOMEONE THAT IS PAYING 1100 A MONTH IN CAR PAYMENTS FROM DODGE I SHOULD BE TREATED RESPECTFULLY

THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED SEVERAL TIMES FOR MONTHS AND INDICATED THAT THEY ONLY HAD FOUR PARTS AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE DEALER STATED THAT IT MAY BE LONGER THAN A MONTH BEFORE THEY COULD ORDER THE PART, WHICH WAS UNREASONABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A REASONABLE TIME FRAME TO PROVIDE THE PART AND RECALL REMEDY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); HOWEVER, AFTER THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE POWER WINDOW RELEASED UPWARD AND DOWNWARD INDEPENDENTLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION AND WHEN THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I BOUGHT A 2013 DODGE CHALLENGER RT CLASSIC NEW IN MAY OF 2013 IN NAMPA, IDAHO. THE CAR CAME WITH 245/45ZR20 GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR TIRES. LAST SUMMER, WE HAD ONE TIRE REPLACED DUE TO A NAIL IN THE SIDEWALL WITH THE SAME GOODYEAR TIRE (ALTHOUGH IT HAD A YEAR NEWER MANUFACTURED DATE CODE). THE OTHER 3 TIRES WERE STILL ORIGINAL. THE CAR IS NOW A LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS OLD. THERE WERE ONLY 20K MILES ON THE CAR AND TIRES WHEN THIS TOOK PLACE. THE CAR HAS BEEN WELL CARED FOR AND STORED INSIDE. THE TIRES HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PRESSURES LESS THAN 32 POUNDS OF AIR IN THEM (DUE TO SENSORS MONITORING THE TIRES). THE WEEKEND OF 7/11/15 WE STARTED OUT ON A TRIP FROM CALDWELL, ID TO KALISPELL, MT (WE WERE TAKING THE SCENIC ROUTE ON WINDY BACK ROADS). WE GOT 50 MILES INTO OUR TRIP BEFORE WE GOT A LOW AIR PRESSURE WARNING ON ONE OF THE TIRE SENSORS (THE RIGHT REAR). WE STOPPED AND HAD THE TIRES CHECKED. THEY FOUND ALL 4 TIRES AT VARIOUS STAGES HAD THE INNER SIDEWALLS COMING APART ON THE TIRES (EVEN THE NEWER ONE WITH 10K MILES ON IT). WE HAD ALL OF THE TIRES REPLACED. I HAVE THESE OLD DEFECTIVE TIRES IN MY GARAGE. I DID NOT PUT GOODYEAR TIRES BACK ON THE CAR DUE TO THEM NOT BEING AVAILABLE AT THE TIRE STORE. I HAVE WORKED ON CARS ALL MY LIFE. THESE TIRES WERE NEVER ABUSED AND THIS IS NOT NORMAL. I FEAR FOR OTHERS LIVES. IF THE SIDEWALL OF ONE OF THESE TIRES COMPLETELY BLEW OUT, THE CAR WOULD LIKELY BE UNCONTROLLABLE. I HAVE DONE SEARCHES ON THE INTERNET AND I AM NOT THE FIRST TO EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL OF TIRE. I REALLY FEEL THIS IS A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT. WHEN TRYING TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITH DODGE AND GOODYEAR, ALL THAT WAS OFFERED TO ME WAS A 'ROAD HAZARD' VOUCHER FOR $491 AND ONLY IF I PUT GOODYEAR TIRES BACK ON THE CAR. THEY WERE WELL AWARE I HAD ALREADY CHANGED THE TIRES AND DID NOT HAVE ANY INTEREST IN PUTTING UNSAFE GOODYEAR TIRES BACK ON MY CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED SEVERAL TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.

SEVERAL MONTHS AGO I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE (P60/NHTSA 14V634) STATING DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH THE ALTERNATOR THE CAR COULD LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING AND/OR CATCH ON FIRE UNDER THE HOOD. ALSO STATED THERE WERE NO PARTS TO CORRECT THE SITUATION. ON THE NIGHT OF FEB 26 I STARTED THE CAR IN THE PARKING LOT OF A STORE CLOSE TO HOME AND HEARD AN UNUSUAL SOUND FROM UNDER THE HOOD. WAS ALREADY MOVING SO I DROVE THE HALF MILE HOME PULLED IN GARAGE AND OPENED THE HOOD. THE ALTERNATOR WAS SMOKING HEAVILY. I PULLED THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE TURNED IT OFF, CALLED THE CHRYSLER RECALL LINE AND THEY SET UP TOWING TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP FOR THE NEXT MORNING.
