TIRES ARE DRY ROT
ON START UP, THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON. I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE READ OUT FOR ALL TIRES AND FOUND I WAS NOT RECEIVING A READING FROM THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL. I CONTACTED A LOCAL SHOP TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS RECALL FOR 2011 AND 2012 CHARGER'S WITH POLICE GROUP. I WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE DIDN'T QUALIFY WHEN I CALLED THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. CAR ONLY HAS A LITTLE OVER 24K MILES AND IS 3 1/2 YEARS OLD. THIS IS POOR QUALITY ISSUE. THIS WAS THE FIRST NEW CAR I BOUGHT SINCE 1974 AND AM VERY DISAPPOINTED. *TR
THE ISSUE I AM REALLY COMPLAINING ABOUT IS THAT THE LUG WRENCH SUPPLIED BY THE DEALER DOESN'T FIT THE LUG NUTS. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO GET A RESOLUTION FROM THE DEALER I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAUSE WAS SWELLING OF THE LUG NUTS WHICH IS A "MANUFACTURER DEFECT" AND THAT I BETTER KEEP A 4 WAY IN THE CAR IN CASE I WERE TO BREAK DOWN. THERE IS ALSO ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE WHICH CAUSE THE RADIO AND DASHBOARD NOT TO LIGHT UP OR DISPLAY PERIODICALLY WHEN YOU START THE VEHICLE. SINCE THESE ITEMS ARE FULLY INTEGRATED WITH THE SO MUCH WITH THE VEHICLE IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO TRAVEL SAFELY WHEN THIS OCCURS. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD NO MODIFICATIONS OF ANY TYPE. *TR
MICHELIN TIRES HAVE SEVERE CRACKING AND ROTTING IN ALL 4 ORIGINAL TIRES. ONLY 28,000 MILES ON THEM. THESE TIRES SHOULD BE RECALLED FOR SAFETY. THEY LEAK AIR FROM ALL TIRES. *TR
TREAD CRACKING AND COMING OFF OF TIRE ON THE INSIDE. *TR
CRACKING ALL AROUND THE INSIDE OF TIRE THE TREAD IS COMING OFF THE TIRE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHARGER EQUIPPED WITH FIRESTONE FIRE HAWK GT-V TIRES, SIZE 245 45 R20. THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING 2 MPH WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AND REAR TIRES SLIGHTLY CRASHED AGAINST THE CURB, CAUSING THE EXTERIOR RUBBER TO DETACH FROM THE TIRES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE DOT NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 17,000.
