Brake Light, ABS Light, and Traction Control Light lit up on dash. Took car to dealership and the issue was diagnosed as a faulty ABS module. This is MOPAR part 68160269AB, which is discontinued. I was also told that there were no after-market options, and that programming a used one might not work. So I have no option to get ABS functionality for my car. I am willing to pay for the part and labor to get this repaired, and Dodge is not even giving me the option.
BRAKES ARE FAILING CAR WILL NOT SLOW DOWN FULLY WHEN BREAKS ARE APPLIED. THIS IS A SAFETY RISK DUE TO NEEDING TO STOP A LARGE VEHICLE TO AVOID HITTING OTHER PEOPLE'S CARS OR PERSONS. THIS CAR HAS HAD THE MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED ON 4/19 AS WELL AS BRAKE FLUID REPLACED. THE ISSUE STILL STANDS WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIVE IT IS A MANUFACTURER ISSUE. NO WARNINGS OR SYMPTOMS PRIOR TO FAILURE. ISSUE BEGAN ABOUT 4/10/22.

Due to this failure, the contact stated that the vehicle would stall out without warning. The contact had taken the vehicle to several independent mechanics and each time the failure persisted. The contact then took the vehicle to a dealer where he was informed that there were 2 recalls on his vehicle NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V197000(SERVICE BRAKES, AIR, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). The contact stated that his vehicle was then towed to the dealer for repair; however, the contact was informed that the parts for the repair were on backorder. The manufacture was notified of the failure and have not given him an update. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was 160,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE SUSTAINED BRUISING ON THE REAR OF THE LEG THAT REQUIRED NO MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THE ALL RECALLS HAD BEEN COMPLETED ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V197000 (SERVICE BRAKES, AIR, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AS A CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER INFORMED HIM THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY USED AS AN UNDERCOVER POLICE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.

ON MARCH 4, 2014, MY CAR SHUT COMPLETELY DOWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. THE MESSAGE ON THE DASH BOARD SAID "ABS" AND THE TRACTION LIGHTS CAME ON AND TURNED MY CAR OFF. I HAD TO PAY 807.84 OUT OF POCKET FOR A NEW ALTERNATOR.ON DECEMBER 1,2014 I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE ALTERNATORS IN THE DODGE CHARGER WHICH I CURRENTLY HAVE. I PURCHASED THIS CAR JULY OF 2012. I'VE ALREADY SPENT OVER 2,000 OUT OF POCKET IN REPAIRS FOR A NEW MODEL 2012 CAR. THE DEALERSHIP I RECEIVED THE CAR FROM IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I NOW REGRET EVER GETTING A DODGE CHARGER FROM [XXX] USURY(WHEN I PURCHASED) (CURRENT NAME). THE SALESMAN/SERVICE TEAM MAKE A MOCKERY OUT OF ME BRINGING MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET REPAIRS EVERY 3 TO 6 MONTHS. ONCE SALESMAN SUGGESTED THAT DODGE IS NOT A GOOD CAR AND I NEED TO TRADE IT IN IMMEDIATELY. THE SERVICE TEAM CAN SEE THAT YOU NEED ASSISTANCE WHEN YOU PULL UP TO THE DOOR AND WILL NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE CUSTOMERS. ON 1/19/15 I HAD TO TAKE MY CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEING ON. INSTEAD OF TELLING ME THAT IT WOULD BE A FEE OF 143.00 BEFORE TAKING MY CAR INTO THE SERVICE SHOP THAT DID NOT TAKE PLACE. I NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING STATING A FEE WOULD BE CHARGED TO ME TO TELL ME WHY THE LIGHT WAS ON IN MY CAR. NOW I NEED A NEW THERMOSTAT AND A COOLANT FLUSH WHICH THEY QUOTED A PRICE OF AN ADDITIONAL 400.00. AFTER THE HELL I HAVE EXPERIENCED AT THIS DEALERSHIP I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I SUBMITTED ALL OF MY RECEIPTS ON 12/5/2014 TO THE CHRYSLER CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER FOR REIMBURSEMENT AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR ANYTHING BACK FROM THEM IN REFERENCE TO REIMBURSING MY 800.00 DOLLARS FOR REPLACING A ALTERNATOR. IN THE PAST I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE A WATER PUMP AS WELL THAT COST OVER 400.00 DOLLARS. ITS BECOMING VERY EXPENSIVE TO DRIVE THIS CAR. *TR
