REVERSE CAMERA MALFUNCTION SHOWS UPSIDE DOWN AND FLASHES IN AND OUT OF FRAME
AT 61000 MILES MY DODGE DART SXT HAS A SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM ALARM POP UP. I CONTACTED TWO DEALERSHIPS BUT THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL OR OPEN WARRANTY FOR THIS. AS IT'S AIRBAGS, A SAFETY ISSUE I PUSHED THE SUBJECT A LITTLE HARDER WITH DODGE THEMSELVES AND THEY SAID THE SAME THING. SAFETY IN MY OPINION SHOULD BE FIRST, AND UPON FURTHER RESEARCH THIS HAS HAPPENED QUITE A BIT TO OTHER DODGE DART OWNERS FROM 2013 TO PRESENT WITH LITTLE TO KNOW KNOWLEDGE WHY. VEHICLE SITS IN MY BARK PARKED AREA AND IS DRIVEN VERY LITTLE SO SHOULDN'T ACTIVELY HAVE ISSUES LIKE THIS OCCUR.
I JUST HAD MY OIL CHANGED AT AROUND 70,000 MY CAR SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING DUE TO NO OIL MY CAR WAS THREE QUARTS LOW AND MY CAR IS AT 72,942 JUST SHUT OFF NO STEERING NO NOTHING ABOUT CAUSED A WRECK BECAUSE MY CAR DIED IN AN INTERSECTION GRANTED I HAVE A MANUAL SO I WAS ABLE TO ENGAGE THE CLUTCH TO KEEP ROLLING BUT THE STEERING WASN'T WORKING SO I WASN'T ABLE TO GET IT PULLED OFF THE ROAD SAFELY NOW I DIDN'T FEEL THE NEED TO CHECK MY OIL DUE TO THE FACT IT WASN'T LEAKING AND IT WASN'T BURNING ANY OIL THAT I SMELT SO AFTER ALL THIS I CALL A TOW TRUCK GET IT BACK TO MY HOUSE LET THE ENGINE COOL WHILE MY ENGINE IS COOLING I START DOING SOME RESEARCH ON WHY IT MAY HAVE DONE THIS THERE'S OTHERS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM IS SOMEONE GONNA HAVE TO DIE BEFORE THEY DECIDE TO FIX THIS ISSUE NOW I COULD'VE HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR THIS MORNING AND NOW I DON'T EVEN WANNA PUT THEM BACK IN THIS CAR BECAUSE OF THIS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V293000 (POWER TRAIN) WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED USED ON MARCH 29, 2019. THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL LETTER. THE CONTACT FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RECALL AFTER THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO PARK AND REMAINED IN NEUTRAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ROLLED AND THE KEY WAS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE FROM THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MCADENVILLE MOTORS (5347 WILKINSON BLVD, GASTONIA, NC 28056, (704) 824-74330). THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE A LOANER VEHICLE SINCE IT WOULD NOT TAKE LONG TO REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE DART. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE MISFIRED AND STALLED. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SAN LEANDRO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM SRT (1444 MARINA BLVD, SAN LEANDRO, CA 94577) WHERE THE SPARK PLUGS AND ENGINE WERE REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER INSPECTED FOR LEAKS BECAUSE THE CONTACT HAD TO ADD OIL EVERY MONTH, AS NEEDED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE ANY LEAKS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 44,000.
MULTIPLE TIMES 4 TO BE EXACT MY VEHICLE HAS SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING WITH NO WARNING. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH MANY OF THESE FROM MY RESEARCH. ONCE I WAS GETTING ON AN EXPRESSWAY AND WAS ALMOST HIT ANOTHER TIME WAS TURNING ON A BUSY STREET ALMOST BEING HIT LUCKILY I WAS NOT. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED I HAD THE CAR ABOUT 3 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING NEW. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS THIS SEPTEMBER. THE DEALERSHIP HAS DONE NOTHING AND SAYS THEY KNOW IT HAPPENS BUT NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR IT. ARE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO BE KILLED BEFORE DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE ?
THE AIR BAGS ON THIS CAR FAILED TO DEPLOY FROM A BAD CAR ACCIDENT. MY CAR WAS HIT NEAR THE RIGHT FRONT FROM A PERSON THAT RAN A RED LIGHT. THE FRONT END DAMAGE WAS HORRIBLE TO SAY THE LEAST AS TO WHERE THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER SAID TO ME THAT THE CAR HAS TO BE TOTALED. EXTENSIVE FRAME DAMAGE FROM THIS ACCIDENT AND DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAD NEVER DEPLOYED FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON. THE CONSUMER OWNS ANOTHER VEHICLE SAME MAKE/MODEL AND QUESTIONS IF THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO THE PREVIOUS VEHICLE FAILING. *JS *JS
POWER TRAIN & SENSORS RELATED ISSUES: I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY@ 45MPH IN TRAFFIC & ALL OF A SUDDEN THE SPEED IDLE DOWN TO 13MPH IN TRAFFIC WITHOUT ME PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL, I PLACED MY EMERGENCY FLASHERS ON TO LET CARS BEHIND ME BE AWARE I WAS EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE. THE ENGINE SYMBOL ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH PANEL AS WITH A LIGHTENING BOLT SYMBOL, THE VEHICLE DID A SURGE IN SPEED WITHOUT THE GAS PEDAL BEING PRESSED, JERKED & SURGE IN SPEED AGAIN & I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKES TO SAFELY PULL OUT OF TRAFFIC TO GAIN COMPOSURE OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH THE VEHICLE SUDDEN ERRACTIC BEHAVIOR. NO WARNING BEFORE HAND. I CUT THE VEHICLE OFF FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. IT CRANKED UP & THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED STILL BUT THE LIGHTENING BOLT SYMBOL HADN'T. I CALLED TO SEE OF ANY RECALLS & THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE COMPUTER MODULE SOFTWARE. I WAS GIVEN A CASE NUMBER FOR THE VEHICLE FROM THE RECALL ASSOCIATE TO CALL THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP & WAS TOLD BY ONE OF THE DODGE SERVICE ASSOCIATES, HIS SHEET DIDN'T CONTAIN THAT RECALL & WASN'T ABLE TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM.
I HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO CHECK MY OIL CONSISTENTLY. I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE WITH 68,089. CHECKED OIL AND IT WAS FULL. AT 69,089 I CHECKED OIL AND WAS 2 QUARTS LOW!! SO I FILLED IT AND CALLED DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THEY COULD DO AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST BUT THAT IT'S NORMAL FOR VEHICLES TO BURN OIL( ABOUT 1 QUART PER 1000 MILES. MY VEHICLE BURNED DOUBLE THAT. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE TO FIND THAT MANY OTHER CONSUMERS WITH THE SAME VEHICLE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM ! DODGE SHOULD HAVE A REMEDY FOR A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM. SINCE FILLING I HAVE BURNED 1 QUART IN 700 MILES.

THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER TOWBIN DODGE LLC LOCATED AT (275 AUTO MALL DR, HENDERSON, NV 89014, (702) 558-3800) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 88,784.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 DODGE DART. WHILE THE CONTACT'S SON WAS DRIVING 10 MPH, THE MOTORISTS IN THE REAR NOTICED AN UNKNOWN LIQUID POURING FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY BURST INTO FLAMES. THE DRIVER MANAGED TO PULL OVER AND EXIT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT INJURIES. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT DRIVER STATED IT FELT LIKE SOMETHING HAD FELL FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS WERE AT THE SCENE AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
MY VEHICLE HAS HAD A MANUFACTURE SAFETY RECALL FOR THE SHIFTER CABLE BUSHING SINCE APRIL OF 2019 BUT THERE WAS NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REMEDY THE SITUATION. IN AUGUST OF 2019 I PULLED IN A GAS STATION AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK. WHEN I RETURNED AND ATTEMPTED TO PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE THE SHIFTER WAS VERY LOOSE FEELING AND IT WOULDNT COME OUT OF PARK. MY LOCAL DODGE DID PAY FOR TOWING FEES AND PUT ANOTHER DEFECTIVE PART ON MY CAR AFTER A VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE MADE SURE I WAS AWARE THIS WOULD BE A ONE TIME COMPLIMENTARY SERVICE SINCE THEY DIDNT HAVE THE CORRECT PART TO FIX IT. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2019 I RECEIVED A NOTICE STATING THERE WAS NOW PARTS AVAILABLE TO FIX THE DEFECTIVE PART AND THAT I SHOULD CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY DODGE DEALER. WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A VERY LONG WAIT LIST FOR THIS REPAIR PART AND THAT THE MANUFACTURER IS LIMITING THE NUMBER OF PARTS THE DEALER IS ALLOWED TO ORDER PER MONTH TO 14. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER AND IM BEING TOLD THEY STILL HAVE A LENGTHY LIST OF CUSTOMERS AND THEY ARE STILL LIMITED ON HOW MANY REPLACEMENT PARTS THEY CAN ORDER PER MONTH. I DONT THINK THIS IS AN APPROPRIATE WAY TO HANDLE A SAFETY RECALL SITUATION. THERE ARE OVER 200,000 VEHICLES WITH THIS DEFECTIVE PART. I UNDERSTAND THATS INCLUDING THE ENTIRE US BUT IT WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE FOR THE MANUFACTURER TO DISTRIBUTE PARTS ACCORDING TO HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ON WAITING LISTS IN EACH AREA NOT 14 PARTS A MONTH. I AM TRAVELING TO FLORIDA WITH MY 3 CHILDREN IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AND PLANNED ON DRIVING MY CAR BUT WITHOUT THIS ISSUE FIXED IM AFRAID OF WHAT COULD HAPPEN WHILE IM 800 MILES AWAY FROM HOME. I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECIEVE A PHONE CALL WHEN MY NAME REACHES THE TOP OF THE LIST BUT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS BEFORE THEN I DONT KNOW WHAT IM SUPPOSED TO DO ESPECIALLY IF IM ON THE ROAD WITH 3 CHILDREN.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE IT WILL RANDOMLY HAVE COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER WITHOUT WARNING AND THE BATTERY LIGHT WOULD TURN ON.
VEHICLE IN MOTION. CLUTCH STUCK TO FLOOR ON HIGHWAY. ALMOST HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE MALFUNCTION. TOOK TO A REPAIR FACILITY WHERE THEY SAID IT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH DARTS. I AM NOW HAVING THE WHOLE CLUTCH SYSTEM REPLACED AND THEY JUST CALLED ME TO TELL ME THE FLYWHEEL ETC IS VERY BAD.

THERE IS A RECALL ON MY CURRENT DODGE DART MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE SINCE AUGUST 8TH 2019. I'VE TRIED CALLING YOUR COMPANY FOR WEEKS NOW I WAS ABLE TO TOW MY VEHICLE TO A DODGE DEALER SHIP TO CONFIRM THAT THE PROBLEM IS BASED ON THE RECALL. THERE IS STILL NO SOLUTION TO THE ISSUE AND NEED TO BE ABLE TO GET TO AND FROM WORK. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR A RENTAL WHEN THE ISSUE IS NOT ON MY FAULT ITS ON YOURS . NO ONE CAN OFFER ME ANYTHING AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE NO ONE HAS HELPED ME FIGURE OUT THIS ISSUE. ALL I WAMT IS A RENTAL FOR THE TIME THAT IT TAKES GOR THE DEALER TO HAVE ORDERED THE PEICE UNTIL MY CAR CAN BE FIXED . I HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATIVE TO THE WHOLE SITUATION BUT I'M TRULY AT MY WITS END.
PUT MY CAR INTO REVERSE AS I WAS BACKING OUT BRAKES FELT STIFF AND HARD TOOK TIME TO SLOW DOWN. I HAD TO USE THE HAND BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR. I HAVE NOT DRIVEN MY CAR SINCE I HAVE BEEN AWAY FOR WORK. I SEE A FEW OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM

THE DODGE DEALER FOUND A CODE U0415 ( ABS PROBLEM) AND SAID BECAUSE OF THAT CODE ENGINE SHUT OFF, $260 TO FIT THAT, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSIST. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME AFTER A FIX THAT THE CAR STILL RANDOMLY SHUTTING OFF IN A NEIGHBORHOOD SPEED 30MPH. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND I AM IN DISBELIEF NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT THIS. ARE WE WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE TO TAKE ACTION ?
