THE PLASTIC SLEEVE ABOVE THE SEAT BELT TENSIONER ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HAS CRACKED, PINCHING THE SEAT BELT IN TURN AND MAKING THE BELT ITSELF UNABLE TO RETRACT. THIS PROHIBITS THE BELT FROM BEING TENSIONED AND UNABLE TO TAKE IN SLACK. THE FRONT PASSENGER PILLAR LOOP OVERMOLDING HAS CRACKED. FRONT LEFT BLINKER WORKS INTERMITTENTLY EXTERIOR LIGHTS HAVE WATER INSIDE THE LENSES JUST NOTICED A FEW MONTHS AGO BUT COULD HAVE BEEN LONGER
SEAT HEATS DON'T WORK PROPERLY WHEN REMOTE STARTS. SOMETIMES WHEN YOU MANUALLY START THEY WORK. BACK TRACK LIGHT SOME HOW GOT WATER INSIDE AND NOW THE WHOLE TRACK LIGHT IS NOT WORKING ALONG WITH LICENSE PLATE LIGHT.
I HAVE CONTACTED FCA (FIAT CHRYSLER OF AMERICA) ABOUT THE HIGHLY COMMON ISSUE WITH THE TAIL LAMP ISSUE ON MY VEHICLE AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. IN COLD TEMPERATURES MY CENTER 'TRACK BAR' AND PASSENGER TAIL LAMP DON'T TURN ON WHATSOEVER INCLUDING THE LED BRAKE LIGHT OR TURN SIGNAL ON THE ONE SIDE. WHEN THEY DO DECIDE TO WORK THE BOTTOM CORNERS OF THE 'TRACK BAR' APPEAR OUT AND THIS IS DUE TO A HIGHLY COMMON ISSUE OF THE TAIL LAMP ASSEMBLIES BEING POORLY SEALED AT THE FACTORY ALLOWING WATER/MOISTURE TO MAKE ITS WAY IN CAUSING THE LIGHTS TO FOG UP AND EVENTUALLY FAIL. THIS CAN BE VERY EASILY LOOKED INTO AND VERIFIED ON MULTIPLE FORUMS, CUSTOMERS OF THE VEHICLE OR EVEN YOUTUBE VIDEOS ADDRESSING THIS. THEY NEED TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE AS I'VE BEEN PULLED OVER ONCE DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND ALMOST REAR ENDED AT NIGHT DUE TO THE OTHER DRIVER BEING UNABLE TO SEE MY VEHICLE WITH THE LIGHTS OUT.
The contact's daughter owns a 2015 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the middle rear taillight, known as the racetrack light, frequently burned out due to moisture entering the brake light housing. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer where the light had been replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was no longer covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
WATER IN REAR CENTER RACETRACK TAIL LIGHT.
RACE TRACK LIGHTING ON REAR LIFT GATE HAS BURNED OUT. LIGHTING FIXTURE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SEALED. MOISTURE WAS ABLE TO GET INTO LIGHTING FIXTURE CAUSING LIGHT TO BURN OUT. NEITHER DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE, DODGE DEALERSHIP,OR COMPLETE TITANIUM PLUS EXTENDED WARRANTY ARE WILLING TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM THAT IS BEING EXPERIENCED BY MANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS. THIS RACE TRACK LIGHTING FIXTURE ILLUMINATES THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND WITHOUT IT MAY RESULT IN A SERIOUS REAR END COLLISION.
I OWN A 2015 DODGE DURANGO AND THE PASSENGER SEAT HEAD REST EXPLODED OUT OF NO WHERE, WE WERE PARKED AT CHURCH ON 12/20/20 AT APPROXIMATELY 11 AM
I WAS EXITING A PARKING GARAGE AND APPLIED MY BRAKE TO STOP TO PAY THE PARKING FEE. WHEN I CAME TO A STOP THE TRUCK UNEXPECTEDLY ACCELERATED WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. I PUSHED AS HARD AS I COULD ON THE FOOT BRAKE BUT THE ENGINE WAS REGISTERING 4 TO 5,000 RPMS. MY TRUCK MOVED ON THRU THE PARKING GATE BREAKING THE GATE AND THEN MY TRUCK ENTERED INTO THE MAIN ROAD. I ALMOST HIT TWO PEOPLE WALKING ON THE SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF THE PARKING GARAGE. I WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE TRUCK INTO NEUTRAL ONCE THROUGH THE GATE AND THE RPMS WENT BACK TO NORMAL. SECOND EVENT: IN JUNE OF 2020 I WAS ENTERING A DIFFERENT PARKING GARAGE. I HAD TO PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK TO OPEN MY DOOR TO RETRIEVE THE PARKING TICKET. I GOT BACK IN AND PUT THE TRUCK IN DRIVE WHEN I PUSHED ON THE GAS PEDAL THE TRUCK AGAIN ACCELERATED UP TO 4,000 TO 5,000 RPMS. I WAS ABLE TO BRAKE AND MOVE THE TRANSMISSION INTO NEUTRAL AND EVERYTHING RETURNED TO NORMAL. THIRD EVENT OCCURRED ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO. I HAD STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WITH A CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THE ENGINE ACCELERATED TO 4,000 TO 5,000 RPMS. THIS TIME I HAD BOTH FEET ON THE FOOT BRAKE. I THEN MOVED ONE FOOT OVER TO ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. WHILE STOPPED I COULD NOT MOVE THE TRUCK FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL. ONCE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME MOVED ON. I WAS ABLE TO PULL THE TRUCK OVER TO THE RIGHT CURB AND THEN I WAS ABLE TO MOVE IT INTO NEUTRAL. IF I HAD NOT ENGAGED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE I WOULD HAVE RAM THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I TOOK MY TRUCK TO A DODGE DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THIS EVENT. THESE EVENTS ARE VERY ALARMING AND VERY RANDOM. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Durango. The contact stated upon inspection it was discovered that the brake light strip was dim on the rear passenger’s side of the vehicle. The contact indicated that water had accumulated inside the taillight assembly housing. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the rear taillight assembly was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 80,000.
I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY ONE DAY AND I TOOK AND EXIT TO GET HOME AND RIGHT BEFORE I HAD TO DO A STOP THE HEADREST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE JUMPED OUT WITH OUT ANY CRASH OR INCIDENT
I HEARD A TICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE. TOOK IT TO FARRISH OF FAIRFAX, VA (703-273-0200) DEALERSHIP AND THEY DID THE FOLLOWING, "REMOVED VALVE COVER AND INSPECT VALVE TRAIN. FOUND WORN OUT ROCKERS ON CYLINDER #5 INTAKE. CAMSHAFT LOBE ALSO WORN OUT. REPLACED RIGHT BANK INTAKE CAMSHAFT." AT THE CURRENT LEVEL, WE DID NOT NOTICE ANY DRIVABILITY ISSUES AND FUEL MILEAGE APPEARED TO BE NORMAL. WE COULDN'T EVEN HEAR THE TICKING FROM INSIDE THE CAR WITH THE WINDOWS UP AND RADIO OFF. WE COULD ONLY HEAR IT FORM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE. THE MECHANIC KNEW EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS WHEN I TOLD HIM WE HAD A TICKING NOISE IN A DURANGO. I DIDN'T TELL HIM THE ENGINE AND HE CAME BACK WITH "IF IT'S A 3.6 MOTOR PROBABLY A WORN OUT CAMSHAFT CAUSED BY ROCKER ARM ROLLER BEARINGS WEARING OUT PREMATURELY. BRING IT ON IN." THE FUEL RELAY FAILED AND HAD TO REPLACE THETIMP THE FUEL PUMP ALSO FAILED TWICE.
ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT ON DRIVERS SIDE DEPLOYED WHILE PARKED. VISUAL INSPECTION SHOWS BROKEN PLASTIC INTERNAL PARTS AND WILL NOT RESET WHEN COMPRESSED.
WAS AT A RED-LIGHT WHEN THE DRIVER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED. GOT HIT FORCEFULLY IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD.*DT CONSUMER HAD A NECK SORE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AND CONSUMER WAS TOLD IT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. CASE NUMBER WAS GIVEN.*JB
WHILE DRIVING MY DRIVERS SIDE HEADREST POPPED OPEN AND HIT ME IN THE HEAD.
I AM AT 92,000 MILES AND I HAVE A TICKING SOUND IN MY ENGINE. WHILE JUST IN PARK YOU CAN HEAR THE TICKING SOUND AS WELL AS WHEN YOU EXCEL WHILE DRIVING. I DO MY OIL CHANGES EVERY 3,000 MILES AND I SEEN THIS IS AN ISSUES ON A LOT OF OTHER DODGE DURANGO MODELS. SHOULD THIS ME A RECALL WITH THIS HAPPENING TO SO MANY?
DRIVER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED HITTING ME AS I WAS DRIVING. WAS ON FREEWAY FELT LIKE SOMEONE PUNCHED ME IN BACK OF MY HEAD.
DRIVERS SIDE HEADREST HAS POPPED AS IF IT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT, BUT HAS NOT BEEN IN ONE. THE HEADREST IS PUSHED FORWARD ABOUT 6-10 INCHES FROM IT'S NORMAL RESTING POSITION AND CANNOT BE RETRACTED BACK. VEHICLE WAS SITTING IN A DRIVEWAY AND NOT BEING DRIVEN AT THE TIME THE FAILURE HAPPENED.
ENGINE RACES WHILE IN PARK
MY CAR DOESN'T WANT TO SHIFT OR IT GETS STUCK IN 5TH GEAR I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND OUT MY CAR IN PARK AND TURN IT OFF AND IT WILL GO BACK TO NORMAL FOR A LITTLE BIT THEN DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN AND WHEN IT DOES IT ITS LIKE IT WILL DOWN SHIFT JERK ME AROUND GO BACK IN 5TH GEAR THEN BE STUCK IN 5TH SO WHEN I SLOW DOWN IT WILL NOT CHANGE
THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAD REST ACTIVE RESTRAINT SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY DEPLOYED. PLASTIC APPEARS TO BE BROKEN AND WILL NOT RESET. HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING.
WHILE DRIVING, WITHOUT CONTACTING ANOTHER VEHICLE, A LOUD POP HAPPENED AND THE PASSENGER HEADREST 'SHOT' OUT. UPON REVIEW, THE PLASTIC PARTS HOLDING BACK A METAL PIN HAD BROKE OFF ALLOWING THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT TO 'ENGAGE.' HAPPENED ON A LEVEL CITY STREET.
MY ENGINE HAS STARTED MAKING A TICKING NOISE. I GOT ONLINE AND DID SOME RESEARCH AND THIS IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE FOR THIS ENGINE. WHY HAS THERE NOT BEEN SOME SORT OF RECALL IF THIS IS COMMON?
MY DURANGO WAS PARKED AT THE END OF THE DAY AT APPROXIMATELY 5:15 PM, IN A COVERED CARPORT, AND LOCKED. WHEN ENTERING THE NEXT MORNING AT APPROXIMATELY 8:00 AM I NOTICED THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT HEAD REST LOOKED ODD. WHEN LOOKING AT IT CLOSER, IT LOOKS AS IF THE HEADREST SEPARATED. THE 2 PIECES ARE STILL CONNECTED BUT NOT COMPRESSED TOGETHER AS IT SHOULD BE. I CALLED MY HUSBAND OUT TO LOOK AT IT AND HE TRIED TO COMPRESS IT BACK TOGETHER BUT IT WOULD NOT STAY. THIS HAPPENED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS UNOCCUPIED AND NOT MOVING. I CAN NOT EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED BECAUSE NO ONE WAS THERE. IT WAS DISCOVERED WHEN I ENTERED THE NEXT TIME.
WENT INTO A STORE, NO OTHER CARS AROUND ME. CAME BACK OUT OF STORE, NOTICED THE ACTIVE HEADREST SYSTEM ON PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYED. NO DAMAGE OR APPARENT DAMAGE TO VEHICLE, STILL EMPTY PARKING LOT.
THE PASSENGER HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT. THE HEADREST DEPLOYMENT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SAFETY FEATURE OF THE CAR TO HELP AVOID WHIPLASH IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT BUT IT DID IT ON ITS OWN WITHOUT AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS VERY CONCERNING AS IF ONE OF MY CHILDREN WERE IN THE SEAT, THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED.
The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that the rear exterior taillights failed to operate as designed. There was no warning light illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact discovered corrosion on both taillight assemblies and on the rear license plate lights. The contact discovered that the failure was caused by excessive moisture build-up in the rear taillight assemblies. The contact initially called the local dealer and was informed that there were no recalls on the Vin. The contact was then referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the Vin was not under recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
SPONTANEOUS ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT DEPLOYMENT, PASSENGER SIDE, WHILE PARKED. NO COLLISION OCCURRED. DRIVERS SIDE HEADREST ALSO DEPLOYED SPONTANEOUSLY WHILE PARKED IN CLOSED GARAGE.
2015 DODGE DURANGO. THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT DEPLOYED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A PRIVATE PARKING LOT AND UNOCCUPIED. SEARCHING THE INTERNET THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. I AM NOW CONCERNED THE PASSENGER SIDE IS PROBABLY NEXT.
The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the engine was misfiring. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the motor mounts had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the motor mounts; however, the failure reoccurred while driving. The contact stated that she also noticed a strong fuel odor while driving and her friend who was sitting in the rear seat of the vehicle informed her that he could hear fluid running while she was driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that fuel was leaking and the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.
ROCKER ARMS OR LIFTERS CAUSING 'TICKING NOISE/ SOUND' AT 113,000 MILES. AFTER ONLINE RESEARCH, MANY DODGE DURANGO 2014 AND LATER MODES HAVE SAME ISSUE.
THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WAS DEPLOYED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT, DUE TO THE FAULTY PLASTIC HOUSING OF THE RETAINING PIN. THE PIN JUST TORE THROUGH THE PLASTIC WHILE REMAINING IN THE LATCH ITSELF. LOOKING THROUGH THE INTERNET I CAN SEE THAT THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING QUITE FREQUENTLY TO FCA CARS. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW ON THE COMPOSITION OF THE PLASTIC USED BY FCA FOR THE HOUSING, WHICH WEAKENS WITH TIME UNDER THE CONSTANT LOAD OF THE HEAVY SPRINGS. DIDN'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO FIND A RECALL FOR IT THOUGH. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN! I AM NOW WORRIED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE IS NEXT AND I MIGHT ACTUALLY BE DRIVING WHEN IT HAPPENS!!!
MY 2015 DURANGO DOESN'T GET USED MUCH NOW A DAYS. THE DRIVER SAID HEAD RESTRAINT DEPLOYED WITH OUT AN ACCIDENT. I'VE LOOKED THIS UP AND IT SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH CHRYSLER. DEALERSHIP IS CHARGING ME A LOT OF MONEY TO GET IT FIXED.

UPON ENTERING VEHICLE, ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT DEVICE IN PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE MY WIFE WAS IN THE SEAT. IT HIT HER ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD AND LEFT HER WITH A HEADACHE AND BACK PAIN.*DT CONSUMER STATED WIFE'S PAIN IS STILL ONGOING. DEALERSHIP WAS CONTACTED AND SAID THEY WOULD REPLACE THE HEADREST AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.*JB
WE WERE DRIVING OUR 2015 DODGE DURANGO AND WE CAME TO A STOP SIGN. WHEN WE PULLED AWAY FROM THE STOP SIGN AND THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION THE SAFETY ASSIST HEADREST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FIRED OFF WITHOUT WARNING STRIKING ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. I ENDED UP IN THE ER AND GETTING A CT SCAN AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A CONCUSSION.
REAR TAIL LIGHT (RACETRACK LIGHT) PORTION BURNED OUT. IT WAS IMPROPERLY SEALED AND ALLOWED WATER RUNOFF TO COLLECT INSIDE BOTTOM PART. THIS CAUSES THE RACETRACK LIGHT TO BURNOUT. THIS IS A HAZARD THAT IF NOT FIXED AND TAIL LIGHTS GO OUT WHILE DRIVING, COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND SERIOUSLY INJURE PEOPLE.
MY WHIPLASH PREVENTION HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT INCIDENT. RANDOMLY DEPLOYED.
TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT TO ANY GEAR.SEAT BELT ON DOORS ALL CLOSED ,ONLY HAD ONE CODE RELATED LAST YEAR SHIFT MODULE U0002-88, SENT TO DEALER ,SAID NO CODES,I NEVER ERASED CODES,THIS HAS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP SO MANY TIMES I DONT KNOW HOW MANY,SAID ITS CUSTOMER ERROR. BULL (@#$%).IF CHRYSLER CANT FIX IT,THEY SHOULD BUY THIS JUNK BACK.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT GOES ON/OFF. DEALER SAYS IT IS A FAULTY WIRING OR CONNECTION AND HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE PASSENGER SEAT. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE AIR BAG SYSTEM IS OFF WHEN IT DETECTS SOME FAULT. THEY ARE CHARGING ME $400.00 TO TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO FIX. REAR SHOCKS ARE LEAKING, WHY I DO NOT KNOW.
The headrests deployed randomly even though there was no accident to cause it. This puts others at risk as it can potentially lead to minor head injuries if the driver and passenger are driving. Problem was never accessed by dealer or insurance, but other owners of Chrysler made products have reported this issue. There has been no warnings anywhere, just a mechanical issue in the headrest.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND MY HEADREST IN MY CAR POPPED AND HIT MY DAUGHTER IN THE HEAD. *TR
WATER LEAKS INTO REAR LIGHT ON THE TAILGATE ON A REGULAR BASIS. WHETHER THE CAR IS PARKED WHEN IT'S RAINING OUTSIDE OR I'M DRIVING IN THE RAIN, WATER GETS INTO THE LIGHT AND NOW THE PASSENGER SIDE PORTION OF THE LIGHT NO LONGER WORKS. AS MORE WATER GETS IN OVER TIME I FEAR MORE OF THE LIGHTS WILL GO OUT WHICH COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR ELECTRICAL ISSUES INSIDE THE TAILGATE. I HAVE READ THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH DODGE DURANGO'S FROM 2014+ THRU THE PRESENT. SOME OWNERS HAVE SHARED THAT AS THIS ISSUE WORSENS THE LIGHTS FLICKER WHICH COULD MAKE OTHER DRIVERS THINK YOU ARE BRAKING WHICH AGAIN COULD CAUSE A MOTOR ACCIDENT AND EVEN LOSS OF LIFE. DODGE HAS NOT ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE AND CHARGES APPROXIMATELY $1,000 TO FIX WHEN A BETTER GASKET AND SEALANT AROUND THE LIGHT HOUSING COULD FIX THE ISSUE FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING I PULLED OVER AND MY WIFE AND I EXITED THE VEHICLE TO CHECK ON OUR TWO CRYING TODDLERS, WHEN MY WIFE EXCITED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE A LOUD BANG OCCURRED AND THE HEADREST EJECTED FORWARD. I ASKED MY WIFE IF SHE HAD TOUCHED THE HEAD REST AND STATED SHE DID NOT. WE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND IT'S A SAFETY MECHANISM DESIGNED FOR REAR IMPACT COLLISIONS TO PREVENT WHIPLASH. WE WERE NOT IN AN ACCIDENT, WE WERE DRIVING AND PULLED OVER. WE PULLED OVER ON SURFACE STEERS. NO IMPACT TO THE VEHICLE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING AND THEY ARE LOOKING INTO THE ISSUE. I FEEL FROM CONDUCTING RESEARCH THAT THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPAIR THIS SAFETY MECHANISM. *TR
I MADE A COMPLAINT ON SATURDAY BUT DID NOT ATTACH PHOTOGRAPHS. WHILE WE WERE DRIVING OUR 2015 DODGER DURANGO I NEEDED TO PULL OVER TO CHECK ON MY CHILDREN. I WAS NOT IN ANY TRAFFIC ACCIDENT AS I WAS DRIVING THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT OF 35 ON THE STREET. WHEN MY WIFE AND I EXITED THE VEHICLE THE PASSENGER HEADREST DEPLOYED. SCARED AND UNSURE WHAT HAPPENED, I ASKED MY WIFE IF SHE HAD TOUCHED OR PULLED THE HEADREST. SHE STATED THEY SHE DID NOT. WE WERE NOT AWARE NOR INFORMED AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE THAT THIS VEHICLE HAS A SAFETY FEATURE THAT DEPLOYS THE HEAD REST IN A REAR AND COLLISION. I BEGAN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR SEVERAL YEARS. WITH SOME CASES LEADING TO INJURY AND LITIGATION. SCARED, I TOOK IT THE FOLLOWING MORNING TO THE DEALERSHIP ON WHICH WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THEY HELD IT FOR THE DAY, INSPECTED THE VEHICLE, RAN DIAGNOSTICS. THE END RESULT WAS THAT MY EXTENDED WARRANTY DID NOT COVER A DEFECTIVE SAFETY FEATURE HEAD REST. NOW I HAVE TO PAY $970.00 DOLLARS TO REPAIR OR DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT THIS SAFETY FEATURE. I AM CURRENTLY CALLING FCA THE PARENT COMPANY FOR DODGE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. *TR
