The back axel on the driver side snapped while going 75 down the highway. Causing major damage and totally the car.
My wife was driving down the road when out of no where her headrest just deployed slamming into the back of her head. After examining the headrest it was clear that a plastic piece had deteriorated causing the headrest to release.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CONTACT FELL ASLEEP AND CRASHED INTO A UTILITY POLE. THE VEHICLE NOSEDIVED INTO A DITCH. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A FRACTURED BACK. THE CONTACT'S WIFE SUSTAINED THIRD DEGREE BURNS TO THE RIGHT SIDE AND BACK. THE CONTACT'S SON SUSTAINED A WHIPLASH. EVERYONE RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE POLICE TOWED THE VEHICLE TO AN UNKNOWN LOT. THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY WAS CONTACTED, SENT OUT AN ADJUSTER, AND DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.*DT*JB
A FEW WEEKS AGO WE HAD A CAR ACCIDENT, IT WAS A FRONT IMPACT BETWEEN 40 AND 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS BUT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM DIDN'T DEPLOY WITH THE IMPACT.
WHILE DRIVING AT CRUISING SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY, THE FRONT PASSENGER "ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT" DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. NO IMPACT, NO LARGE BUMP OR POTHOLE...JUST RANDOM. IT HIT MY WIFE IN THE HEAD/NECK.
