WHILE ENTERING FREEWAY ONRAMP ENGINE POWER REDUCED AND VEHICLE FOLLOWING HAD TO SWERVE TO AVOID COLLISION. BELIEVE ENGINE OUTPUT LESSENED BY CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE ISSUE COMMON WITH DODGE ENGINES CREATING FAILURES AND LOSS OF COMPRESSION AND REDUCED POWER WITH SPORADIC LOSS OF ACCELERATION WHEN NEEDED.
OUR 2017 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN DRIVERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR IS LOCKED AND WON'T IPEN WITH ANY REMOTES, BUTTONS OR MANUALLY. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN IF WE NEED TO GET OUT THAT DOOR. I NOTICED A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET ARE STATING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH BACK TO 2014. THE OTHER CONSUMERS ENCOURAGE US TO REPORT. WE HAVE JUST HAD THAT SEAT STUCK AND WON'T STOW/ FIXED TO TUNE OF $800, SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT SAME PROBLEM AND SAME SIDE, REPLACED A BATTERY ON 2 YEAR OLD VAN!!?? DODGE NEEDS TO MAKE THIS ONE RIGHT- IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE!!
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ABOUT 75 MPH WITH CRUISE SET. IT WAS ALMOST AS IF THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF, I LOST ALL CONNECTION AND MY COMPUTER WENT WHACK. ALL THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON ETC . IT SLOWED MY CAR DOWN, AND RESET MY RADIO ETC . BUT THAN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT ALL CAME BACK ON AND I PROCEEDED . BUT SCARED ME AND THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS WRECK. IT'S SCHEDULED TO GO INTO THE SHOP AND BE CHECKED OVER THIS WEEK.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A MAIN ROAD ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON IN MY DASH CAR STARTED BEEPING, RADIO CAME ON, WINDSHIELD WHIPPERS CAME ON AT HIGH SPEED, AC CAME ON, LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER VEHICLE OR BRAKE WITH MILEAGE SCREEN SWITCHING TO DIFFERENT OPTIONS WITHIN THAT SCREEN. CAR BEEN AT DEALER SINCE THE DAY AFTER STILL DO NOT HAVE VEHICLE BACK OR A DIAGNOSIS OF WHAT OR WHY VEHICLE WENT INTO THIS STATE.
I bought my 2017 dodge grand caravan in 2019 with 20,000 miles on it. Shortly after I had problems with the key not doing the automatic start. Then the wipers no longer sprayed fluid, then I noticed the van used some radiator fluid when we went drivingg any distance. Then the door locks stopped working.then the passenger slide door stopped shutting and locking or would close on the kids getting in the van. Now when I took it to the dodge dealership about a month th ago to fix the front seat trim that fell off, they said I had a leaky transmission hose. They fixed it a d charged for the flush and hose. One month later I'm getting an error code for the tranny. Had it flushed and paid again. They said they don't know maybe I need a new transmission. I ha e always done the up keep on this van oil changes and such. I looked up recalls a d everything happening to my van happened to the 2016 models. They were recalled for the same transmission problems. It only has 90000 miles. Now the dealership wa ts me to buy a transmission. Please help.
DRIVER SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR GOT STUCK IN A LOCKED AND CLOSED POSITION RENDERING THE DOOR UNABLE TO OPEN WHILE IN A STATIONARY POSITION (IN PARK). MECHANISM TO LOCK/UNLOCK THE DOOR STUCK IN THE MIDDLE POSITION UNABLE TO BE ENGAGED INTO EITHER A FIRM LOCKED OR LOCKED POSITION. PROBLEM IS SUSPECTED TO BE WITH THE DOOR ACTUATOR. PASSENGERS ARE UNABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE FROM THIS DOOR CAUSING A POSSIBLE UNSAFE CONDITION DURING AN EMERGENCY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
THIS 2017 GRAND CARAVAN HAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE ROCKER ARMS BECOMING LOOSE WHICH CAUSES A TICKING SOUND. THIS SEEMS TO BE COMMON WITH THE ENGINE SIZE AND IN DODGE PRODUCTS. I'M NOT MECHANIC BUT FAILING ROCKER ARMS SEEMS VERY UNSAFE!
SLIDING DOOR BEHIND DRIVERS SIDE STUCK IN "LOCK" POSITION. WILL NOT UNLOCK. THIS IS A VERY WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITH 100S OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN LOCAL HIGHWAY WHERE SPEED LIMIT IS 50MPH AND ROAD CONDITIONS ARE BUMPY AND UNEVEN. ALSO THERE IS A RAILWAY CROSSING. I WAS GOING ABOUT 48MPH WHEN MY LOW TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. I DID NOT FEEL A DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY MY VEHICLE WAS DRIVING OR HEAR ANYTHING SUCH AS FLAT. I WENT DIRECTLY TO THE GAS STATION STRAIGHT AHEAD OF ME. WHEN I GOT OUT TO INSPECT MY VEHICLE I NOTICED MY BACK DRIVERS SIDE TIRE WAS FLAT. AFTER FURTHER EXAMINATION I NOTICED IT LOOKED TO ALMOST HAVE A SLIT LIKE PUNCTURE TO THE SIDE WALL. NOTE I HAD NOT HIT ANY CURBS AND MY VEHICLE IS KEPT IN A GARAGE.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, HEARD FLAPPING NOISE. PULLED OVER, OPENED PASSENGER DOOR, TRIM WAS HANGING OFF. TOOK IT OFF. FOUND OUT IT IS CALLED APPLIQUE/MOLDING/ TAPE DOOR PILLAR FRONT DOOR. WENT TO DEALERSHIP IN SAN ANTONIO YESTERDAY, WAS TOLD THAT EVEN WITH MAXIMUM CARE PLAN THIS TRIM WAS NOT COVERED BECAUSE IT WAS CONSIDERED COSMETIC. THIS IS MY 3RD DODGE GRAND CARAVAN AND THE SECOND ONE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
DRIVER SEAT BELT WOULD NOT FASTEN . LOWER SECTION OF SEAT BELT WAS REPLACED BY DEALER ON 07/23/2019..
TAKATA RECALL ENGINE OIL COOLER CRACKED AT THE BASE CAUSING ENGINE OIL TO LEAK OVER THE TOP OF THE ENGINE AND DOWN THE MANIFOLD. THIS MAY CAUSE A FIRE AT THE MANIFOLD AREA RESULTING IN A POSSIBLE INJURY TO THE DRIVER. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING AND AT IDLE.

THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER (EAST CHESTER CHRYSLER DODGE, 4007 BOSTON RD, BRONX, NY) WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
I DRIVE A 2017 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. LAST WEEK, AS I WAS DRIVING MY CHILDREN TO THEIR GRANDMOTHERS HOUSE, I NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKING. I REGAINED CONTROL AND MADE IT TO MY MOMS HOUSE AND DROPPED OFF THE CHILDREN. AS I LEFT HER HOUSE AND MADE IT BACK TO THE ROAD, THE VAN BECAME HARD TO STEER. IT STARTED JERKING TO ONE SIDE AND WOBBLING. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED MY VAN AND WAS TOLD TO BRING IT IN IMMEDIATELY. THE DAY AFTER BRINGING THE VAN IN, I RETURNED TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SHOWED ME WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE VAN. IT WAS LIFTED UP INTO THE AIR AND I WAS SHOWED THAT THE REAR AXLE ON THE DRIVER SIDE HAD BEEN BROKEN. THERE WAS 2 MECHANICS THERE AND ONE SUGGESTED THAT I HAD BEEN IN A COLLISION OR HIT A BIG POTHOLE. THE OTHER SAID THAT IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN A DRIVER ERROR BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE BREAK ON THE AXLE WAS BENT AS WELL AS THE LACK OF ANY SCRATCHES OR DAMAGE TO ANY OTHER AREA OF THE VAN. MY TIRES AND RIMS SHOW NO DAMAGE, AND THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE VAN ALSO SHOWS NO SIGN OF HITTING A POTHOLE, AS THERE ARE NO SCRATCHES ANYWHERE UNDER THE VAN. ONE OF THE MECHANICS SAID IT COULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE AXLE BECAUSE OF THE BENT WAY IT WAS BROKEN AND HE ALSO NOTICED THAT IT SHOWED SIGNS OF IT BEING ALREADY CRACKED BECAUSE THE METAL APPEARED TO BE OLD ON ONE SPOT AND FRESH ON ANOTHER. I HIGHLY DENY HITTING ANYTHING LIKE A POT HOLE OR HAVING BEEN IN A COLLISION THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DAMAGE TO ANY PART OF MY VEHICLE SAVE THE BROKEN AXLE. *DT*JB
DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER DOOR IS STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION. IT CANNOT BE UNLOCKED MANUALLY, WITH THE KEY FOB, OR THE UNLOCK BUTTONS ON THE DOORS. THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. THIS IS A HORRIBLE SAFETY HAZARD!!!
ARE 2017 DODGE GRAND CANAVAN HAS SHUT OF WHEN WE ARE DRIVING ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE FIRST MAJOR ISSUE WE HAD WITH THE VAN, WAS WHEN MY WIFE PARK AT THE LOCAL RETAILER STORE AND REMOVED THE KEY AND IT DID NOT SHUT OFF. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. IT HAS SHUT OF ON MY WIFE ON A BUSY INTERSECTION AND WHILE JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD; IT SHUT OF ON ME WAITING IN LINE FOR A CAR WASH. WE HAVE TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY "CAN NOT FIND" ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR DOES NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK WITH BUTTON INSIDE OR BUTTON ON KEY FOB
ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON, CODE READ AS A MISFIRE IN COIL #2, PAID $400 TO HAVE COIL REPLACED AND THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. THE VAN STILL SHAKES WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE IN IDLE.
I BOUGHT THE CAR MONTH AGO WITH 34900 MILES ON IT AND WITHIN THE MONTH MY AC STARTED BLOWING HOT AIR WHILE DRIVING, MY PASSENGER REAR DOOR WAS MAKING GRINDING NOISE ON OPENING/CLOSING/LOCKING AND THE WINDSHIRLD WIPER FLUID LINE CAME UNDONE WITHIN 3 WEEKS. AS I DIDN'T KNOW THAT THE WARRANTY ENDED AT 36000 MILES, I WAS TOLD 65,000, I WAITED TO TAKE THE CAR IN TO THE SHOP INTELL I GOT OUT OF WORK, ONE MONTH TO THE DAY FROM DATE OF PURCHASE, AND TOOK IT INTO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP. A CAR THEN HAD 36200 MILES AND I WAS NOT TOLD I NEEDED TO PAY JUST TO GET IT CHECKED OUT AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP. IT TURNS OUT THAT THE LATCH TO THE DOOR WAS BROKEN AND THE REAR AC PUMP IS LEAKING AND THAT I NEED TO PAY $2000 TO FIX THESE ISSUES. THESE ISSUES WHERE THERE BEFORE I WENT OVER WARRANTY BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER TO DODGE.
VEHICLE PURCHASED USED 3/3/19, SUPPOSEDLY WITH NO PROBLEMS WITH BRAKE SYSTEM. TWO MONTHS LATER REAR BRAKES ARE GRINDING AWAY AT ROTORS, CALIPERS ARE GETTING STUCK, AND THERE WAS A FIRE ON DRIVER'S SIDE REAR BRAKES.

PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR STOPPED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD FOR CHILDREN AND PASSENGERS IN THE BACK SEAT.
DRIVER SIDE REAR PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. IT SEEMS TO BE LOCKED AND WON'T UNLOCK ELECTRICALLY OR MANUALLY. VEHICLE IS STATIONARY.
THIS HAS OCCURRED NOW AT LEAST 12 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR. THE MIDDLE ROW SEATS. AFTER FASTENING THE SEAT BELTS, THEY UNBUCKLE. I HAD CAR SEATS WITH CHILDREN BUCKLED AND ALL A SUDDEN THEY TELL ME IT CAME UNBUCKLED WHILE DRIVING AND I HAVE TO STOP AND LOCK IT AGAIN. IN FACT ONE TIME IT WOULDNT LOCK AGAIN AND HAD TO PUT THEM IN THE BACK ROW. I TESTED IT MYSELF AND BUCKLED THEM AND PULLED SLIGHTLY ON THEM AND THEY CAME UNBUCKLED WITHOUT PRESSING THE UNBUCKLE BUTTON.THIS IS A SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM IN AN ACCIDENT WITH CHILDREN IN CAR SEATS THAT THE BELTS COME UNDONE. IT JUST HAPPENED YESTERDAY AGAIN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RAY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (23 N US-12, FOX LAKE, IL 60020) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. *LN*JB
VEHICLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK VEHICLE TO LICENSED GARAGE FOR ANALYSIS. THE CODE 2 INDICATED A REPLACEMENT OF THE COIL AND SPARKPLUGS NEED TO BE DONE. AFTER MECHANIC CHANGED ITEMS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. TOOK VEHICLE BACK TO MECHANIC AND AFTER RESEARCH AND SPENDING $604.71 IN REPAIR CHARGES, MY MECHANIC, AFTER CONFERRING WITH DEALERSHIP PERSONNEL WAS ADVISED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE #2 CYLINDER. TOOK VEHICLE TO ORCHARD DEALERSHIP AND AFTER ADDITIONAL EXPENSE FOUND THAT THEY DID WARRANTY WORK ON THE CYLINDER. MY MECHANIC ADVISED THAT THE INITIAL REPAIRS WERE UNNECESSARY AS THE PLUGS AND COIL WERE FINE. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER FOR REIMBURSEMENT. THEY DENIED SAME STATING THAT I DID NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE SERVICED AT A DEALERSHIP INITIALLY. PRIOR TO THE REPAIR THE VEHICLE WOULD HESITATE AND BALK WHEN DRIVING. THIS IS MY DAUGHTERS VEHICLE [XXX] ALONG WITH OUR 2 GRANDCHILDREN. CHRYSLER DID NOT ADMIT TO A VEHICLE PROBLEM WITH THIS ENGINE UNTIL MY MECHANIC WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP. REAR PASSENGER DOOR ACTUATOR BUZZES, DOOR STICKS OPEN AND WON'T CLOSE. STARTED RANDOMLY.
I BOUGHT 2017 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. NOW, THE CAR HAS 34,940 MILES. WHEN I PUS THE BRAKE WHEN THE CAR SPEED ABOVE 40 MILES/HOUR, THE CAR VIBRATES. I THINK THE ROTOR IS WARPED. IT IS DANGEROUS ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THIS PROBLEM. TALKED TO DODGE DEALERSHIP AND CALLED DODGE CUSTOMER CARE. THEY BOTH TOLD ME IT IS NOT COVERED BY THE 36MONTH/36,000MILE WARRANTY. SEARCHED ON THE INTERNET, A LOT OF OWNER COMPLAINED THE BRAKE PROBLEM ABOUT DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. EXPERIENCED MECHANICS INDICATED THIS IS A DESIGN ISSUE. DODGE DOESN'T HAVE A GOOD ENOUGH BRAKE FOR THIS CAR. THIS PROBLEM EXISTS FOR MANY YEARS AND DODGE STILL UNWILLING TO REDESIGN OR COVER THIS DESIGN FLAW. DODGE SHOULD PROVIDE SPECIAL WARRANTY TO COVER THIS DESIGN FLAW AND IT IS A GREAT SAFETY ISSUE NHTSA TAKE THE LEADERSHIP TO ASK DODGE FIX THIS COMMON PROBLEM RELATED TO THEIR DESIGN.
WHILE COMING TO A STOP THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT DOWN. THERE IS A DING LIKE THE A SEATBELT ISN'T BUCKLED, THE LIGHTS FLASH AND THE VEHICLE JUST SHUTS DOWN LIKE SOMEONE TURNED THE KEY OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED BOTH WHEN THE VEHICLE IS COLD AND WARM IT STARTS BACK UP BUT WHEN IT DOES THE TIME ON THE RADIO IS HAS TO RESET IT SELF AND THE ATC UNIT IS ALL OFF AND HAS TO BE MANUALLY RESET AS OF NOW IT'S ONLY HAPPENED WHILE I WAS APPLYING THE BRAKES SCARED THIS COULD HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY. I'VE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE 2 WEEKS BOUGHT IS USED WITH 48000 MILES ON IT.
THE RPM IS INESTABLE, THE TRANSMISSION HARD SHIFT, COOLANT SISTEM OF ENGINE HAVE PROBLEM
SES FOR P0306 MISFIRE CYLINDER 6 DURABLE TO PREMATURE HEAD WARPING. DODGE STATES A KNOWN PROBLEM. THIS COULD CAUSE POWER LOSS DURING ACCELERATION.
ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CODE READER SAID IT WAS A MISFIRE IN #2. THE VEHICLE IDLES ROUGH AND SOMETIMES STALLS WHILE DRIVING. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WE GOT STUCK IN TRAFFIC, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THANKFULLY IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP. ANOTHER INSTANCE, I WAS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, I STOPPED BECAUSE A CAR WAS COMING, WHEN I PROCEEDING TO BACK OUT THE CAR STALLED. SPARK PLUGS AND ENGINE COAL WERE CHANGED. DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. OTHER 2017 GRAND CARAVANS HAS A RECALL FOR A VERY SIMILAR REASON, BUT MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT. I FEEL IT SHOULD BE.
ON 01/28/2019,, AFTER I OPENED THE HOOD TO EXAM THE POWER/TRAIN AND OTHER COMPONENTS UNDER THE HOOD. I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THREE WIRES AND A YELLOW FUSE ATTACHED TO MY BATTERY/ I IMMEDIATELY ASKED "TIMMY" WHAT THESE WERE AND WHY IS THE ENGINE SO LOUD? HE STATED THAT HE DID NOT KNOW. I ASKED, "MAY I SPEAK TO THE TECH THAT INSTALLED MY TRANSMISSION?" HE REPLIED, "I'M REALLY BUSY.." HE WALKED AWAY WHILE I WAS ASKING HIM QUESTIONS, WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION OR REPAIRS. THE DODGE DEALER INSTALLED AFTERMARKET WIRING AND A FUSE ON MY VEHICLE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AND REFUSED TO TELL ME WHAT IT CONTROLS AND WHY IT IS NEEDED. "TIMMY" ALSO STATED TO ME THE LOUD RUMBLING NOISES WERE NORMAL. I INFORMED HIM, THAT IS NOT HOW MY CAR SOUNDED PRIOR TO THE TRANSMISSION FAILING.

THE VEHICLE WAS SCREAMING LOUDLY AND WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR AT ALL. MY LIFE WAS IN IMMEDIATE DANGER! THE ELECTRICAL IS TURNING ON AND OFF WITHOUT ASSISTANCE INCLUDING WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES PRIOR. THE DODGE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED IN PERSON OF MY ISSUES AND CONCERNS. NOTHING WAS DONE TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE AT ANY TIME. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR 30 DAYS.
VEHICAL HAS A CODE FOR CYLANDER 4 MISFIRE. THIS CAUSES MY REMOTE START TO NOT WORK AND THE VEHICAL IS RUNNING ROUGH. NEW SPARK PLUGS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. FOR A TWO YEAR OLD VEHICAL IT SHOULD BE RELIABLE BUT I FIND MYSELF RELYING ON MY 88 S10 MORE THAN OUR TWO YEAR OLD VAN. READING UP ON THE 3.6L ENGINE I AM CONCERNED THAT IT MAY HAVE THE PROBLEM WITH THE CYLINDER HEAD AS WITH MANY OTHER CARAVAN 3.6L BUT MY VINTAGE IS SOMEHOW NOT AFFECTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

VEHICLE'S POWERTRAIN STALLED ON TWO OCCASSIONS. ONCE AFTER STOPPING AT RED LIGHT, AND SECOND TIME (WEEKS LATER) ON INTERSTATE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. ON EACH OCCASION ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN BUT TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE. I HAD TO STOP, PUT IN NEUTRAL OR PARK SETTING, THEN SHIFT TO DRIVE TO GET POWERTRAIN TO RE-ENGAGE.
MY SON WAS ALMOST CLOSED IN THE DOOR GETTING IN THE VAN DOORS FAILED TO OPEN BACK UP AND LITERALLY ALMOST CLOSED HIM IN. I HAD TO TELL HIM TO MOVE QUICKLY

VEHICLE WAS IN A PARKING LOT RUNNING BUT PARKED. IT SHIFTED OUT OF PARK AND STARTED ROLLING BY ITSELF.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN A 2017 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED AT THE POSTED SPEED OF 70MPH, THE CRUISE FAILED TO DISENGAGE WITH THE DEPRESSION OF THE BRAKE, OR BY TRYING TO TURN THE CRUISE OFF. THE ACCELERATOR WAS STUCK; AND THE FLOOR MAT WAS CHECKED TO SEE IF THIS WAS JAMMING THE SYSTEM. IT WAS NOT. REPEATED DEPRESSION OF BRAKE PEDAL FAILED TO DISENGAGE CRUISE CONTROL. REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO SHUT OFF CRUISE CONTROL FAILED. FINALLY I PRAYED, AND THE CRUISE DISENGAGED. USED THE CRUISE AGAIN THE NEXT DAY AT LOWER SPEED OF 45 MPH ON BACK HIGHWAY AND NOTICED SOME STICKING. WAS ABLE TO BRAKE AND DISENGAGE AT LOWER SPEED AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. HAVE NOT USED THE CRUISE CONTROL AGAIN. THE VEHICLE HAD LESS THAN 30,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME. IN BOTH INSTANCES THE VEHICLE WAS GOING STRAIGHT. *TT *JS *TR
The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated upon depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V524000 (Electrical System) which she linked to the failure. The contact also stated that an abnormal whining sound was coming from the vehicle while the vehicle was stationary. Additionally, the contact stated that the air bag warning light was intermittently flashing on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that an air bag sensor needed to be replaced; however, the parts for the repair were on backorder. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

WE WERE DRIVING IN OCALA, FL ENTERING THE I75 HIGHWAY ON RAMP WHEN WE SAW SMOKE AND THEN FLAMES SHOOTING FROM THE REAR POWER OUTLET. WE GOT THE KIDS OUT OF THE VAN AND THE FIRE TOOK OVER THE ENTIRE VAN. I WAS TOLD AN INVESTIGATION WAS COMPLETED IN JUNE BY DODGE BUT HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD THE OPINION FROM THE INVESTIGATION. *TT*DT*TP

FRONT DO NOT NOT WORK UNLESS IT IS ON DEFROST, BARELY ENOUGH HEAT DISPLACED ON WIND SHIELD CAUSING VISIBILITY IN THE WINTER TO BE HORRIBLE. THE AMOUNT OF VISIBILITY IS LESS THAN 45% OF WINDSHIELD. 10550 MILES CURRENTLY.
