While driving under normal conditions on September 15, 2025, the right front wheel rim detached from my Dodge 2025 Hornet UT ZACNDFAN7R3A14662. The detached rim struck and dented the right front door, and I was forced to purchase a replacement rim. This vehicle is still under warranty. A wheel rim separating from the vehicle is a serious safety defect that could cause loss of control, property damage, or injury. I am requesting that this be investigated as a potential recall issue.
1. Dealer failed to repair hood latch when part broke. Hard to access hood secondary release latch in an emergency. 2. Recurring Trunk release latch issue. Trunk will not fully close when in operation.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
