TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. ONCE IT WAS RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
WHILE DRIVING MY DODGE JOURNEY THE HORN BEGAN TO BLOW EXTENSIVELY. I WAS NOT MANUALLY BLOWING THE HORN. THE HORN BEGAN TO BLOW ON IT'S OWN, THEN IT WOULD STOP FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MINUTES, THEN START AGAIN. NEXT DAY, IT DID THE SAME BUT WITH DIFFERENT TIME INTERVALS. IT WAS BLOWING INTERMITTENTLY. WHEN I WAS HOME, WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED AND LOCKED, THE HORN BEGAN TO BLOW AGAIN. I FINALLY HAD TO TAKE FUSES OUT. I'M NOW DRIVING WITHOUT A HORN, I CARRY A PURCHASED HORN IN THE CAR. ONLINE THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND MAKE OF CAR. THE FIX IS PRICEY! PEOPLE ARE NOT AWARE THAT THEY SHOULD COME TO THIS SITE TO INITIATE A RECALL SO THAT THE MANUFACTURER WILL AIDE US WITH REPAIR. PLEASE HELP US.
I WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE OAIRBAG LIGHT STAYING ON AND BLINKING AND MAKING NOISE.
CAR HAS AN INTERMITTENT START. WOULD SHUT OFF AS DRIVING AT TIMES AND WOULD NOT START UNTIL NEXT DAY.
THE HORN STARTS GOING OFF AT RANDOM THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT IS TO TAKE THE FUSE OUT. ALSO HAVE BEEN TOLD THERES AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WITH THE SYSTEM CAUSING MY INTAKE TO NOT WORK PROPERLY.

I HAVE A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY BOUGHT IT A WEEK AGO WITH 108K MILES AFTER I BROUGHT IT HOME HORN WOULD GO OFF BY ITSELF HAD TO PULL THE FUSES OUT TO GET IT TO STOP AND NOW RECENTLY WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE THE RPM WILL GO TO 5000 AT A SPEED OF 40 MPH AND WON'T SHIFT AND IT WILL COST ME A FORTUNE TO GET IT DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SUMTER CHRYSLER (2662 BROAD STREET, SUMTER, SC 29150), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 78,000.
THE REAR ARMS ON THE TIRE WHEELS BENT IN CAUSING THE TIRES TO GO COMPLETELY WORE DOWN ON THE INSIDES. IT WAS HARD TO SEE BECAUSE THE MIDDLE AND OUTSIDE WERE FINE. IT COST $457.00 TO REPAIR THE GARAGE SAID THIS WAS COMMON. I HAVE THEREPAIR RECORDS I DON'T KNOW HOE TO SEND ONLINE . IF THE TIRES HAD BLOWN IT COULD HAVE BEEN REALLY BAD AS I DRIVE 80 MILES ROUND TRIP A DAY TO WORK. HAVE'NT FIXED BRAKES YET BUT THE ROTORS ARE SHAKING WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES

THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 119,299.
LOW PRESSURE POWER STEERING HOSE RUPTURED AND BEGAN LEAKING UPON START UP IN COLD WEATHER

JUST PURCHASED 2010 JOURNEY WITH 102,000 MILES. 3RD DAY OF OWNERSHIP, VEHICLE STALLED 6 TIMES IN A 15 MINUTE DRIVE. STALLED WHILE SLOWING TO STOP AND WHILE ACCELERATING. NO WARNING LIGUYS, JUST LOST POWER STEERING AND REALIZED IT STALLED. 6 TIMES IN 15 MINUTES. ENGINE CODE SAYS O2 SENSOR FAILURE
WHILE PARKED, LOCKED AND UNATTENDED THE HORN KEPT HONKING AND WOULD NOT STOP. HAD TO REMOVE FUSES 22 AND 23. OTHER PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THIS SAME PROBLEM FOR THIS SAME TYPE OF VEHICLE AND THEY HAVE NOT HAD ANY RESOLUTION. A HORN IS REQUIRED TO DRIVE INCASE OF EMERGENCY TO AVOID COLLISIONS. MY CAR IS AT 71000 MILES IT WILL NOT SWITCH INTO GEARS MEANING I HAVE TO PULL OVER TURN CAR OFF AND BACK ON IN HOPE THAT IT WILL SWITCH GEARS. MANY TIMES THAT DOESN'T WORK. MY BRAKE CALIBER HAS BEEN REPLACED AND IT STILL IS MESSED UP AGAIN. YESTERDAY I WAS RIDING DOWN ROAD AND CAR JUST POWERED OFF ON ME FOR NO REASON. I COULD NOT START IT BACK UP AFTER HOUR IT RESTARTED.WE CHECKED ENGINE FLUID ETC EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. I WAITED UNTIL END OF MY SHIFT WENT AND GOT CAR TO TAKE HOME. AS I BEGAN TRAVELING HOME A POWER LIGHTING BOLT CAME ON IN MY DASH. CAR SHUT OFF AGAIN WOULD NOT START UNFORTUNATELY I WAS UNABLE TO BARE OFF THE ROAD BECAUSE EVERYTHING LOCKED UP IN CAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V273000 (STEERING). THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DISCLOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,638.
MY 2010 DODGE JOURNEY IS LEAKING POWER STEERING FLUID, WILL NOT HOLD POWER STEERING FLUID, MAKING LOUD GRINDING NOISES WEN I TURN, ACCELERATE ETC. THIS IS A RECALL AND THIS VIN SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH CHRYSLER DODGE BECAUSE THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE. IF NEED BE I WILL FILE ANY KIND OF SUIT NECESSARY! 1ST THING WAS THE HORN, RANDOMLY HONKING AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY OF NIGHT. IT HAD STOPPED.... FOR NOW.... BUT NOW MY CAR IS NOT STARTING. FOR SOME REASON IT WON'T TURN OVER, I CAN TURN KEY TO LET IT DO IT'S EMISSION TEST BEFORE STARTING THEN TURNING KEY TO START, IT JUST CLICKS AND DOESN'T START. CAR HAS DONE IT AT GROCERY STORE, DAYCARE, WORK, EVEN SHUT OFF BY ITSELF WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT.
FOR THE FOURTH TIME NOW I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MY VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THE POWER STEERING HOSE REPLACED!!!! AND OF COURSE, I AM AM BEING TOLD THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A FACTORY BLOCK HEATER INSTALLED SO IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED BY A COMPANY IN ALL MY LIFE!!!! EACH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IT HAS CAUSED A HUGE INCONVENIENCE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. THE FIRST TIME THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT A SCHOOL FUNSTION. STARTED IT, LET IT RUN FOR ABOUT 5 MIN AND WHEN I ACCELERATED TO LEAVE MY POWER STEERING WAS GONE. SECOND TIME, I WAS PARKED, WENT TO START IT AND WENT TO LEAVE. AGAIN, NO POWER STEERING. THIRD TIME I WAS PARKED IN A LOT FOR SHOPPING. I STARTED IT, WENT TO LEAVE AND NO POWER STEERING. THE FOURTH TIME THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE. I STARTED IT REMOTELY. WHEN I WENT TO BACK OUT OF THE GARAGE THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING. IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER NO LESS!!!! I WAS LEFT ONTHE SIDE OF ROAD WITH MY TWO KIDS LAST FRIDAY WHEN THE TEMPERATURE HERE IN MN WAS -20. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! ALL OF THESE OCCURRENCES HAVE HAPPENED INT HE DEAD OF WINTER. NOT TO MENTION THE HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS I HAVE TO KEEP ON PAYING TO HAVE THIS FIXED. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR MAKE AND MODEL, BUT I CAN'T BE COMPENSATED UNDER THE RECALL BECAUSE IT DOESN'T HAVE A BLOCK HEATER?. A BLOCK HEATER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH POWER STEERING HOSES BLOWING OFF ON START UP IN WINTER. WATER GETS IN THE REAR DOORS DURING RAIN STORMS WHEN OPENING AND CLOSING BOTH BACK DOORS YOU CAN HEAR WATER BETWEEN THE DOOR AND THE DOOR PANEL ONLY THE REAR DOORS ARE AFFECTED
I JUST HAD TO REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH, KNOWING OTHER DODGE JOURNEYS HAD A RECALL, BUT OF COURSE NOT MINE, YET THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH MY SPECIFIC MODEL I HAVE NO CLUE WHY THEY WERE NOT RECALLED! TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THIS MAY OR MAY NOT FIX THE ISSUES I'M HAVING. MY AIRBAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF RANDOMLY AND OFTEN LEAVING MY CAR AND FAMILY VULNERABLE. MY ETC AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS ALONG WITH MY ENGINE LIGHT COME ON RANDOMLY AND THROW MY CAR INTO LIMP MODE WHILE IM ON THE HIGHWAY WITH KIDS IN THE CAR. THE LIGHTS CLEAR THEMSELVES OUT WHEN I TURN THE CAR OFF THEN ON... SO IT HAS BEEN IMPOSSIBLE TO DIAGNOSE BUT HAS MADE ME SUSCEPTIBLE TO BREAK DOWNS AND NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES. THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES IN THIS CAR HAVE BEEN MANY AND QUITE EXPENSIVE...THE LATEST BILL WAS $750 & MOST LIKELY DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DODGE PRODUCT. THOS IS AN UNRELIABLE VEHICLE THAT IS QUITE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE!

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, THE KEY WAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION AND HAD TO BE FORCEFULLY REMOVED. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE KEY FOB FAILED TO OPERATE AND DRAINED THE BATTERY. THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE KEY FOB NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. HAD TO REPLACE HEATER CORE IN 2017. CAR HAD LESS THAN 50000.00 MILES ON IT. COLD AIR BLOWING OUT VENTS WHEN SETTINGS ARE TURNED TO HEAT.
FRONT WIPERS WON'T TURN OFF AND NO TURN SIGNALS HEAD LIGHTS WON'T TURN OFF AND HIGH BEAMS DON'T WORK . ALARM GOES OFF RANDOMLY AND HORN GOES OFF RANDOMLY
MY AUTO IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL INVOLVING THE IGNITION/FOB. BUT I'VE HAD ISSUES WHEN MY AUTO SHUTS OFF FOR NO REASON, IF MY CAR IS TURNED OFF AND MY KEY IS LEFT IN THE IGNITION..I CLOSED THE DOORS AND 5-10 SEC.LATER ALL MY DOORS LOCKED. THANKFULLY MY WINDOWS WERE CROWDED, I WAS IN MY GARAGE BECAUSE IT WAS SUMMER AND MY DOG WAS IN THE AUTO. SOMETIMES MY FOB WORKS .SOMETIMES DOESN'T. HAVE REPLACED BATTERY AND FOB BUT STILL HAVE IGNITION ISSUES AT TIMES.

VEHICLE WILL NOT START AFTER SITTING IDLE AND OFF AT RANDOM TIMES. IN PAST 2 WEEKS CAR WOULD NOT START AT LEAST TWICE, 3 TIMES IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS. BATTERY, STARTER, AND ALTERNATOR HAS ALL BEEN CHANGED AND STILL HAD A SHUTOFF. WHEN TURNING THE KEY A CLICK SOUND WOULD HAPPEN BUT NO TURNOVER. LIGHTS WOULD BE ON AND NO LOW BATTERY WARNING.
THE CAR WILL NOT START HALF THE TIME I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM I GO TO THE STORE AND GET IN MY CAR AND THE ANTI THEFT LIGHT WILL BE ON AND IT WILL NOT CRANK THE INTERNET IS FLOODED WITH THE SAME PROBLEM FROM THOUSANDS OF OWNERS AND IT'S STILL NOT FIXED I'M TIRED OF BEING STRANDED WHEN I STILL OWE 8000 ON MY CAR

THIS OCCURRED WHILE IT WAS STILL DARK OUTSIDE. HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES NOW NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON AFTER TAKING INTO SHOP I WAS GIVEN THIS SITE TO REPORT IT DUE TO SEVERAL OTHERS CLAIMING SAME ISSUE.
TWICE NOW I'VE WENT TO START MY CAR AND NOTHING HAPPENS. LIGHTS,RADIO, ETC ALL COME ON. TURN KEY, NOTHING! NOT EVEN A CLICKING NOISE. I WAS LEAVING WORK THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED. TOOK TURNING THE KEY OVER AND OVER ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES TO GET IT GOING. NEXT TIME I WAS AT GAS STATION. TOOK OVER HALF AN HOUR TO GET IT GOING. ENDED UP PUTTING IT INTO NEUTRAL TO GET IT TO START. HAD TO TRY THAT 4 DIFFERENT TIMES IN ORDER FOR THAT TO WORK. HAVE GOOGLES THIS ISSUE ON DODGE FORM AND THERE ARE NUMEROUS PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL!

SOMETIMES IT WILL START IF YOU PRESS THE BRAKE, PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND THEN TURN THE IGNITION, SOMETIMES IT WILL WORK IF YOU JIGGLE THE SHIFTER, SOMETIMES IT WILL WORK IF YOU TAKE THE KEY OUT AND TURN IT OVER. TODAY! NONE OF THIS HAS WORKED. WE ALSO TRIED JUMP STARTING AND THAT DIDN'THE WORK EITHER. HOPING THAT IF I LET IT SIT FOR AWHILE, I CAN GET IT STARTED SO I CAN GO TO WORK TOMORROW. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE I GAD 2 PREVIOUS DODGE VEHICLES THAT I HAD GOOD LUCK WITH, BUT THIS VEHICLE IS MAKING ME RETHINK EVER BUYING ANOTHER DODGE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 64,000.
HORN CONSTANTLY GOING OFF DRAINING BATTERY. SO FAR I HAVE REPLACED MY BATTERY TWICE. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES, WHILE DRIVING, PARKED, ON AND OFF. DOESN'T MATTER JUST KEEPS GOING OFF. WE TOOK THE HOT FUSES OUT BUT THE BATTERY IS STILL BEING DRAINED BY IT.
MY VEHICLE WILL NOT START. I TURN THE KEY AND I HEAR ONE CLICK. IT HAS A NEW BATTERY INSTALLED. THE ENGINE ALSO DIED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS AFTER BEING PUT IN REVERSE. I CAN'T JUMP START MY CAR OR ANYTHING. IT REFUSES TO START.

OUR ACCELERATOR PEDAL SNAPPED OFF WHILE ACCELERATING. THIS WAS DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON I-55 IN ILLINOIS BY MILE MARKER 261. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ALREADY, THE BROKEN GAS PEDAL HAPPENED WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE FURTHER. I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT. THERE WAS NO SHOULDER ON THE LEFT WHERE I WAS TRAVELING AND I HAD TO CROSS MULTIPLE LANES OF TRAFFIC TO GET TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER. IF I HAD TO STOP, I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET OUT OF DRIVING LANES AS THE PEDAL SNAPPED ALL THE WAY UP WHERE THE SHAFT MEETS THE FIREWALL. ILLINOIS STATE POLICE CAME TO ASSIST AFTER DODGE REFUSED TO SEND A TOW TRUCK BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, WHEN I COMMUNICATED THAT THIS WAS FAR MORE THAN A WARRANTY ISSUE, THEY RESPONDED BY STATING THAT THE SUPERVISOR WAS "TOO BUSY" TO SPEAK WITH ME DESPITE OUR CHILDREN AND US BEING STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF I-55 DURING RUSH HOUR. THE PEDAL IS MADE OUT OF A PLASTIC AND THIS PLASTIC SNAPPED EASILY UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THERE ARE APPROXIMATELY 97,000-98,000 MILES ON OUR VEHICLE.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING IGNITION SWITCH ISSUES WITH MY 2010 DODGE JOURNEY--CURIOUSLY SIMILAR TO THE ISSUES THAT SPURRED A RECALL (RO3) WITH THE SAME MODEL/YEAR JOURNEYS--BUT MY VIN DIDN'T SHOW UP IN THE AFFECTED LIST. I TOOK THE JOURNEY IN TO MY CHRYSLER DEALER TO REPAIR AN IGNITION SWITCH GETTING STUCK, AND THE ESTIMATE WAS AROUND $800 TO REPAIR THE SWITCH AND REPROGRAM THE KEYS! *TR

THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES WITH NO FIX, SO I REPLACED THE BATTERY, ECM, KEYS, TIPM TO NO AVAIL. THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET WITH THIS SAME ISSUE, BUT NO CLEAR FIXES OUT THERE. IT HAS RENDERED THE CAR COMPLETELY UNUSEABLE AND UNSAFE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIPM WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
