The airbag light came on intermittently but now has stayed permanently. The suspension of the car become almost uncontrollably bouncy with the slightest dip or hump on the road. The bouncing continues for a couple miles and at times does make steering difficult. The tires are 4 months old and the car has been serviced at regular intervals.

THE VEHICLE CONTINUOUSLY STALLS WHILE I'M DRIVING. I HAVE NOT DRIVEN ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE IT'S A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. THE HORN GOES OFF CRAZILY SOMETIMES WHILE PARKED. AND, RECENTLY WHILE DRIVING LOCALLY IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD THE CAR OVER HEATED. THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON OFF , AND SOMETIMES I HAVE TO WAIT A WHILE BEFORE I CAN GET THE CAR TO START. I HAVE BROUGHT IT TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND HE'S UNSURE OF WHAT'S GOING ON AND QUESTIONS RECALL. I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND IT'S BEEN A FRUSTRATING JOURNEY WITH THIS JOURNEY.
I HAVE TAKEN IT GOTTEN IT FIX SO MANY TIMES THE LIGHT WILL STAY OFF FOR A WEEK THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS KEEP COMING ON SAYING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER. THEN IT WILL ADD MORE THINGS THAT IS WRONG. IT WILL CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING ALL THE LIGHTS COME ON. I WON'T GET ON FREEWAY SCARED IT WILL JUST CUT OFF
THE REAR ARMS ON THE TIRE WHEELS BENT IN CAUSING THE TIRES TO GO COMPLETELY WORE DOWN ON THE INSIDES. IT WAS HARD TO SEE BECAUSE THE MIDDLE AND OUTSIDE WERE FINE. IT COST $457.00 TO REPAIR THE GARAGE SAID THIS WAS COMMON. I HAVE THEREPAIR RECORDS I DON'T KNOW HOE TO SEND ONLINE . IF THE TIRES HAD BLOWN IT COULD HAVE BEEN REALLY BAD AS I DRIVE 80 MILES ROUND TRIP A DAY TO WORK. HAVE'NT FIXED BRAKES YET BUT THE ROTORS ARE SHAKING WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES
MY CAR ALMOST CAUGHT A FIRE FROM THE CIGERATTI LIGHTER WHEN I WAS CHARGING MY CELL PHONE AND ALSO MY HORN GO OFF ON ITS ON FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME AND THE LIGHTS AS WELL
IN JUNE 2016 I TOOK MY CAR TO BETTEHAUSEN DODGE IN TINLEY PARK, IL. THEY DID SOME REPAIRS AND SINCE THEN THE HORN GOES OFF BY ITSELF. THE CAR CAN BE PARKED WITH THE MOTOR OFF OR YOU COULD BE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC AND THE HORN WILL BLOW. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO BETTENHAUSEN IN AUGUST 2016 THEY DID ANOTHER COMPUTER UPDATE AND THE HORN IS STILL GOING OFF BY ITSELF. THE HORN WAS FIND UNTIL I TOOK IT TO BETTENHAUSEN IN JUNE. ONCE THEY FINISHED WORKING ON IT THEY HORN BLOWS SPORADICALLY. AGAIN IN AUGUST 2016 I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO BETTENHAUSEN BECAUSE THE CAR BROKE DOWN. UPON BETTENHAUSEN REVIEWING MY CAR THEY STATED IT WAS THE HEATER HOSE, A GASKET AND THE ANTI FREEZE BOTTLE HAD A HOLE IN IT. IT COST ME $582.00 FOR THAT REPAIR. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ALSO INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED FRONT AND REAR MOTOR MOUNTS BROKEN, FRONT AND REAR STRUTS BLOWN OUT, FRONT AND REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WARPED AND WORN, RIGHT REAR WHEELING BEARING EXCESSIVE NOISE. THESE ARE MAJOR REPAIRS AND WILL COST MAJOR MONEY. WHY DIDN'T BETTENHAUSEN INSPECT MY CAR THOROUGHLY IN JUNE WHEN IT WAS TOWED IN? I THINK THESE THINGS WERE WRONG WITH THE CAR IN JUNE BUT IT WAS INSPECTED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. SO I DROVE AROUND FOR MONTHS WITH ALL THIS WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. WHAT IF I COULDN'T STOP, OR A WHEEL FELL OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE EXPRESSWAY? IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY IN JUNE AND NOW IT IS NOT AND THESE ARE MAJOR SAFETY HAZZARDS.
BREAKS HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT LEAST EVERY 2 MONTHS. MY CAR CONTINUES TO OVERHEAT AND WE HAVE THE THERMOSTAT 5 DIFFERENT TIMES. WE HAVE TO KEEP TURNING THE KEY OFF AND ON TIL THE CAR DECIDES TO START. I HAVE CONTACTED THE PEOPLE ABOUT THIS AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR MY VIN NUMBER. IT NEEDS TO BE ADDED BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE WITH MORE THAN JUST MY CAR. I WILL CONTACT AN ATTORNEY BECAUSE NOW THAT IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY THEY TELL ME I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THE ISSUES RESOLVED THE START ISSUE IS OF COURSE STATIONARY THE BREAK PROBLEM IS WHILE DRIVING AND SO IS THE OVER HEATING ISSUE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD HEARD A SCRAPING NOISE AND THE FRONT BUMPER WAS TALKING OFF AND THE BUMPER BAR WAS LOOSE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTARTED NORMALLY. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHEN PARKED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START UNTIL AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING OVER 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE WOULD VIBRATE VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE BATTERY AND STARTER WERE REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE TECHNICIAN ALSO INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A SUSPENSION FAILURE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN AT 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED AND MADE A POPPING NOISE, AND THE DRIVER'S FRONT WHEEL SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND TO CRASH INTO A VEHICLE IN THE LEFT LANE, DAMAGING THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT BUMPER. THE CITY OF COLUMBUS POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT NUMBER WAS C-278012. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND LOCATED THE FAILURE AS A BROKEN DRIVERS SIDE FRONT AXLE WHICH CAUSED THE WHEEL TO SEPARATE. THE MANUFACTURER ENGINEER INVESTIGATION CONCLUDED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT A DEFECT, BUT IT WAS CAUSED BY DRIVER IMPACT. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF INJURIES.THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILES WERE 40,000.

THE CONSUMER STATED THE TIRES WERE INFERIOR (KUMHO TIRES). *JB THE CONSUMER STATED THE ENTIRE REAR END HAD TO BE REPLACED, BECAUSE OIL WAS LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. UPDATED 05/17/11
THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT FROM PARK INTO DRIVE WITH A LOUD CLANG AND JERK. THIS OCCURS WHEN YOU PULL UP AND STOP, TURN MOTOR OFF, RESTART AND PUT INTO DRIVE. THEN AT OTHER TIMES HESITATES TO SHIFT. BRAKES WILL PUSH THEMSELVES DOWN WITH NO PRESSURE GIVEN BY DRIVER. FRONT END ON UNEVEN PATCHES OF ROADWAY WILL THUMP AS THOUGHT IT IS LOOSE AND WOBBLE. *TR
