COMPLETE POWER LOSS WHILE DRIVING THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REPLACED. SINCE THAT EVENT WE HAD HAVE CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH MISFIRES AND FUEL INJECTORS. AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS.
I'M CURRENTLY LIVING IN HAWAII AND I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND HIT A SLIGHT BUMP IN THE ROAD AND MY PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST SPRING FORWARD. THINKING IT WAS SOMETHING MINOR I DID NOT THINK ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL I REALIZED MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, ON THE DASHBOARD. IF I AM TO HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF TEMPORARILY BUT COME BACK ON.
STOPPED AT MCDONALD'S ON WAY BACK FROM KANSAS CITY TO OMAHA. WHEN FAMILY WENT IN HEADREST WAS FINE. WHEN WE CAME OUT HEADREST WAS POPPED OUT.
AC UNIT COMES ON AND WILL NOT SHUT OFF THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I AM DRIVING WITHIN 10 TO 20 MINUTES OF THE CAR BEING ON. I WILL PUSH THE AC BUTTON TO SHUT IT OFF AND IT TURNS BACK ON AGAIN. I DO THIS ABOUT 20 TO 40 TIMES IN ONE DAY IF NOT FOR THE TIME OF MY DRIVE.
MY COMPLAINT IS ABOUT THE DEALERSHIP THAT I WENT TO TO GET MY CARS RECALL REPAIRED. A SIMPLE QUESTION ABOUT A RECALL RESULTED IN THE SERVICE MAN TELLING ME THERE IS NO RECALL AND THE PARTS IN MY 2015 ARE FROM 1996 AND THAT THEY CAN NOT FIND A RECALL. I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE LIABLE FOR THE COST OF ANY REPAIRS AS PER THE FINE PRINT IN MY WARRENTY. TYSON MOTORS IN JOLIET IL IS SO INCOMPITANT THAT THEY COULDN'T FIX A FREE RECALL ON MY CAR
TAPPING NOISE UNDER HOOD. TOOK TO 3 DIFFERENT MECHANICS AND EACH ONE TOLD ME THIS IS A DEFAULT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. HAD OIL CHANGE DONE AND TAPPUNG NOISE STILL CONTINUES. THE MECHANICS STATED THAT THE NOSIE IS COMING FROM THE TOP AND COST BETWEEN $600-$3500 TO HAVE REPAIRED. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TOME WHEN VEHICLE IS RUNNING OR IDLE.
WHEN TAKEN IN TO THE DEALER I WAS INFORMED THT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS MODULE.IT WAS COROADED AND SHORTING OUT THE SYSYEM WHICH ALSO CONTROLS THE SPEED SENSORS AND TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM. ON TUESDAY MAY 7TH I STARTED THE CAR AND THE SPEEDOMETER DID NOT REGISTER AND THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS DID NOT ENGAGE THE BRAKES ALSO HOPPED WHEN I TRIED TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP.
THERE WAS A BUNCH OF LONG LINES ON THE SCREEN AND THE KEY FOB WASN'T DETECTED EVEN THOUGH THE KEY WAS IN THE CAR. THIS HAPPENED AS THE CAR WOULDN'T CRANK UP. THE CAR WOULDN'T REGISTER THAT IT WAS IN PARK. IT REFLECTED THAT IT WAS IN BATTER SAVE MODE. THE A/C CUTS ON BY ITSELF. EVEN AFTER CUTTING IT OFF A FEW TIMES. THE ISSUE WITH THE A/C WAS HAPPENING WITH BOTH FRONT AND REAR UNITS. THE REAR WOULD BLOW OUT A LOT OF HOT AIR AND IT WOULDN'T SYNC. THE ISSUE WITH THE KEY FOB JUST HAPPENED TODAY (9/13/19)
WHEN STARTING VEHICLE, AIRBAG CLUSTER INDICATOR WAS LIT. UPON DEALER DIAGNOSIS THEY FOUND THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR AIRBAG SENSORS HAD STOPPED WORKING. BECAUSE OF THIS THE ENTIRE AIRBAG SYSTEM SHUT OFF. DEALER REPLACED FOR $600 AS THIS WAS *NOT* COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. WHEN DEALER ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE FIRST TIME THE BRAND NEW SENSORS THEY USED WERE ALSO DEFECTIVE. THE SECOND SET OF NEW SENSORS WORKED. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A 4 YEAR OLD VEHICLE.

CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM LOCATED AT 8151 AUTO DR, RIVERSIDE, CA 92504, (951) 688-6200, WHERE AN APPOINTMENT WAS A SCHEDULED FOR MAY 20, 2019. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
TAKATA RECALL: WHEN TRYING TO ADJUST THE CLIMATE CONTROL TO "SYNC THE PASSENGERS" AND TURN OFF THE REAR CONTROLS, WITHIN SECONDS THE COMPUTER IS TURNING THE VEHICLE'S "SYNC" OFF AND TURNING ON THE REAR CONTROL. AS I WAS TRYING TO ADJUST THE TEMPERATURE IT WILL KEEP TURNING THE CONTROLS OFF OF SYNC AND TURN THE REAR CONTROLS BACK ON. IT HAPPENS WHETHER I'M SITTING I'M IDLE OR DRIVING, THERE HAVE BEEN NO CONDITIONS THAT AFFECT THE WAY ITS WORKING.
AFTER DRIVING IN ABOUT 70 DEGREE SUNNY DAY FOR ABOUT 45 MIN THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT DINGED ON THEN AFTER PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR THE VEHICLE CHUFFED AND COMPLETELY DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERCTION. TURN THE VEHICLE OFF FOR ABOUT 10 MIN AND CONTINUED DRIVING ANOTHER 45 MIN WITHOUT A PROBLEM. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS AT VARIOUS SPEEDS FROM A STOP TO ABOUT 70 MPH.
I TRIED TO START MY CAR AND IT WOULD NOT START WE TRIED TO PUSH THE START BUTTON TWICE AND PUT IT IN NEUTRAL PRESS THE BRAKE IT WOULDN'T START WE TRIED PRESSING THE BUTTON FIVE TIMES RESETTING IT IT WOULDN'T START WE TRIED DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY TO RESET THE COMPUTER IS STILL WOULDN'T START THE CAR WAS PARKED. IT WON'T TURN OVER. WHEN LOOKING ON THE INTERNET SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE.

I PURCHASED THIS SUV 2 YEARS AGO AND NOW WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN DRIVE AND IN MOTION ON STREETS AND HIGHWAYS THE SECOND IT TOUCHES 20 MPH AND UP IT IS MAKING THIS" REVVING NOISE" AS IF IT IS IN ANOTHER GEAR AND IT'S ONLY IN DRIVE! THIS SUV IS NOT THAT OLD TO HAVE SUCH ISSUES HAPPENING NOW. ITS NOT RIGHT WHEN THE CONSUMER IS SPENDING THEIR MONEY FOR A SUV THAT IS GIVING THEM ISSUES SO EARLY INTO THE PURCHASE. DODGE NEEDS TO RECALL THIS VEHICLE!! AND ANYONE EVEN THINKING OF PURCHASING THIS SUV. HONESTLY DON'T... RUN OUT OF ANY DEALERSHIP SELLING THIS 2015 DODGE JOURNEY R/T AWD SUV! THE ONLY JOURNEY YOU WILL TAKE WILL BE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH ISSUES!
THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM IN MY 2015 DODGE JOURNEY STOPPED WORKING. IT SHOWS NO MAP INPUT/NAVIGATION SYSTEM NOT ON VEHICLE. I HEARD THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING A LOT ON DODGE JOURNEYS. I TOOK IT IN AND THE WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE RADIO/SYSTEM. I WAS DRIVING WHEN IT SHUT DOWN. LUCKILY, I KNEW WHERE I WAS GOING BUT I DRIVE OUT OF TOWN A LOT WITH MY GRANDKIDS AND DEPEND ON THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM. THAT IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I BOUGHT A VEHICLE WITH A NAVIGATION SYSTEM SO I WON'T GET LOST.
MY 16-YEAR-OLD SON WAS DRIVING OUR 2015 DODGE JOURNEY TO SCHOOL. HE BEGAN TO HEAR A NOISE THAT SOUNDED AS IF SOMETHING WAS DRAGGING UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER BEHIND HIM WAS FLASHING HIM TO PULL OVER, HE BEGAN HAVING ISSUES CONTROLLING THE VEHICLE FORTUNATELY HE WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND AS SOON AS HE GOT TO THE STOP SIGN THE CAR COMPLETELY DIED AFTER MAKING A LOUD NOISE AND STARTED SMOKING. MY SON JUMPED OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND THE DRIVER BEHIND HIM TOLD HIM TO GET AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE AS HE FELT IT WAS ABOUT TO CATCH FIRE BY THE SMELL. ONCE THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER GOT THERE AND TRY TO START THE VEHICLE TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL THE CAR AGAIN FILLED UP WITH A BURNING SMELL. HE JUMPED OUT AND HAD TO CALL DISPATCH FOR SAFETY REASONS OF TRANSPORTING THE VEHICLE. ONCE MY VEHICLE ARRIVED AT LONESTAR AUTO PLEX IN CLEBURNE TEXAS OUR SERVICE MAN DAN WAS AMAZING. HE KEPT US INFORMED ALONG THE WAY ASKED QUESTIONS AND HE WAS PROVIDED THE SERVICE RECORDS. COME TO FIND OUT THE ENGINE SEIZED UP. THE ENGINE, OIL PUMP, STARTER, ALL HAD TO BE REPLACED. CHRYSLER REQUESTED THE ENGINE SO THEIR ENGINEERS COULD LOOK AT IT. ALTHOUGH EVERYTHING WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, MY CONCERN IS NOW THAT THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE DRIVING IN THE SAME THING MAY HAPPEN TO THEM IF NOT WORSE .

ALSO, THE VEHICLE LEAKED OIL, THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE TRANSMISSION, AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR AND BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SIERRA CHRYSLER DODGE (1305 MOUNTAIN AVE, MONROVIA, CA 91016) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW ALTERNATOR WAS NEEDED. THE ALTERNATOR WAS NOT REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE TIMING BELT AND OIL LEAK WERE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND OFFERED TO COMPENSATE THE CONTACT FOR THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
THE ABS AND ESC ALARM AND WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME, WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND I HAD JUST APPLIED THE BRAKES FOR A CAR TURNING LEFT THAT WAS IN FRONT OF ME.
MY 2015 DODGE JOURNEY WONT START. I CHANGED THE BATTERY AND STARTER AND STILL NOTHING. I HEAR ONE CLICK WHEN I TRY TO START IT BUT IT WONT TURN OVER AND START. IT TELLS ME THAT MY CAR IS NOT IN PARK BUT IT WONT START. THEN ONCE IT STARTED, IT DIED WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET. WHATS GOING ON WITH MY TRUCK?

THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE ABS MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT SAME THING FROM 2012-2015 BUT DOESN'T INCLUDE MINE, FOR SOME REASON? MINE SHOULD BE INCLUDED TOO!!!!

REEDMAN TOLL CHRYSLER/JEEP (1700 LINCOLN HWY, LANGHORNE, PA) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
TACT RECALL WE WERE T-BONE BY RANGE ROVER, WHOSE AIRBAGS DID DEPLOY, OURS DID NOT. WE WERE TRAVELING AT 20-30 MILES PER HOUR THE OTHER CAR WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 40-45 MILES PER HOUR. THE IMPACT WAS THE COMPLETE FRONT END OF OUR CAR MORE IMPACT ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE; THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS BROKEN.. NEITHER AIR BAGS LOCATED IN THE CAR DEPLOYED. OUR CAR WAS DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS $12,500.00 WORTH OF DAMAGE.
WENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE ON 2/15/19, AFTER LEAVING CHECK ENGINE CANE ON AS SOON AS I REACHED HOME. CALLED AND INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER. ON 2/16/2019 AS O WAS DRIVING TO DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER CAR STALLED AND WOULDN'T MOVE. CAR WAS TOWED, THEY INSPECTED IT ON 2/22/2019 AND WAS TOLD NOTHING DUE TO OIL CHANGE CAUSED FOR CAR TO NOT MOVE. WAS TOLD THAT IT'S MY TRANSMISSION.
I HAVE JUST PAID TO HAVE MY GRANDSON'S DODGE JOURNEY REPAIRED. THE DEALER SAID THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM BUT NOT FOR OUR VIN NUMBER. HE COULD NOT START THE VEHICLE AND THERE WERE MULTIPLE FLASHING LIGHTS. THEY FOUND WATER IN THE ABS UNIT, WIRE SHORTAGE GOING TO THE STARTER, THEY INSTALLED 68194693AF REPLACED THE ABS HYA UNIT AND MODULE AT A COST OF $577.50. THE TOTAL COST TO SERVICE THE CAR TO MAKE IT START WAS $1218.55. I CONSIDER THIS TO BE A SAFETY HAZARD FOR A COLLEGE STUDENT THAT DEPENDS ON A SAFE CAR. THE VEHICLE STARTED CUTTING OUT ON THE INTERSTATE WITH THE CAR GOING 65-70 MPH. HE PULLED INTO HIS DRIVE AND TURNED THE IGNITION OFF, LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING AND HE COULD NOT RESTART THE VEHICLE. IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP BY AAA AND WAS THERE FOR 4 WEEKS. IT WAS PICKED UP TODAY 4/03/2019. THE DATE IT HAPPENED IS AN ESTIMATE.
THERE ARE TIMES WHEN MY ABS LIGHT COMES IN AND MY CRUISE CONTROL WON'T WORK AND THE ANTI SKID LIGHTS IS IN. THE BRAKES HALF WAY MAKE THIS GRIND NOISE AND I NEED FEEL THE BRAKES LOCKING UP BUT NOT ALL THE WAY BUT SURE GETS YOUR ATTENTION. IT'S HAPPENED A COUPLE TIMES WHILE JUST DRIVING OR GOING DOWN ROAD OR STOPPING ON CITY STREETS MOVING STRAIGHT.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously fixed under NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V675000 (Electronic Stability Control, Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the ABS warning light and the traction control warning light were illuminated. The contact disconnected the ABS connector, and the connector was corroded. There was also water pouring out of the cable. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.

STALLS AT RED LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS WHILE MOVING OR STILL. IT IS WORSE DURING COLD AND RAINY CONDITIONS. VEHICLE WILL EVENTUALLY START BACK UP AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF BEING STRANDED. YESTERDAY DURING POURING DOWN RAIN AND COLD IT STALLED AT A BUSY INTERSECTION REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO START UNSUCCESSFUL FINALLY AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF BLOCKING TRAFFIC IN THE INTERSECTION IT FINALLY STARTED AND I WAS ABLE TO MOVE OUT OF THE INTERSECTION. ERROR CODES READ P0562 SYSTEM VOLTAGE LOW AND P0335 CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR A CIRCUIT. THERE IS A RECALL ON 2016 DODGE JOURNEY FOR THE CRANKSHAFT CAMSHAFT SENSOR WIRE HARNESS BUT NOT THE 2015. BEST I CAN TELL THE INTERNET IS RIDDLED WITH NUMEROUS DODGE JOURNEY'S WITH THESE SYMPTOMS! SOMEONE NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE AND FIX IT FOR US! THE EXPENSE THAT CONSUMERS ARE ENCOUNTERING IS UNACCEPTABLE ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY ARE NOT RESOLVING THE ISSUES. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND THE LIABILITY THAT DODGE WILL HAVE SHOULD CONSUMERS CONTINUE TO BE HURT BECAUSE THIS CONTINUED ISSUE WILL BE BAD SHOULD CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT COME BECAUSE OF THIS.
I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT BY A DRUNK DRIVER WHO WAS GOING 30-40MPH AND MY CAR IS VERY DAMAGED. MY MAIN CONCERN WAS MY AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND SLAMMED INTO THE STEERWHEEL AND HIT THE TRUCK IN FROM OF ME AND STILL NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED.

MY CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY SO THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FIXED IT, HOWEVER RECENTLY WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE OUT OF NO WHERE MY DRIVER SIDE HEADREST ALSO EXPLODED, IT SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME AS I WAS PREGNANT AT THE TIME! I DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING, NOR WERE THERE ANY HOLES! IT'S AT THE DEALERSHIP NOW BECAUSE MY CAR STALLED ON ME TODAY, HAVEN'T HAD VERY GOOD LUCK WITH THE CAR AT ALL! I BELIEVE THEY WERE CHEAPLY MADE, HAVE HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE SINCE I PURCHASED IT BRAND NEW IN 2015! HOPEFULLY MY WARRANTY WILL COVER THE DRIVER HEADREST AS THEY GAVE ME A HARD TIME LAST TIME!
VEHICLE HAS 39,392 MILES. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR WARNING. TOTAL OF 5 INTSTANCES IN 3 WEEKS, CAR WILL STOP RUNNING WITHOUT WARNING, WHILE DRIVING & OPERATING THE VEHICLE. THE CAR WILL LOSE ALL POWER, STEERING, BREAKS & ALL CONTROL. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN OPERATING & ON THE ROAD, DRIVING, BETWEEN 25-45 MILES PER HOUR. 3 OUT OF THE 5 TIMES, IT HAS HAPPENED AFTER A BRIEF STOP AT A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHTS. THE LAST INSTANCE THE VEHICLE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE IF A BUSY INTERSECTION FOR NEARLY 6 MINUTES, NEARLY CAUSING MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. TAKES MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO GET CAR TO RESTART & WILL SHAKE & MAKE AUDIBLE CRANKING NOISE WHILE TRYING TO RESTART FOR 30-45 SECONDS.

MY SON WAS SLIDING/FOLDING THE MIDDLE ROW PASSENGER SIDE SEAT UP AND WHEN IT FOLDED UP IT HIT THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT REALLY HARD CAUSING THE HEADREST TO DEPLOY. THE SILVER BAR IS INSIDE THE TWO TEETH AND THE BLACK PLASTIC PIECES THAT HOLD THE SILVER BAR ARE BROKEN. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY IN THE DRIVEWAY NOT RUNNING AND NOT MOVING AT TIME OF INCIDENT.
MY VEHICLE RADIATOR THERMOSTAT WAS 1ST RUNNING LOW. NOW IT'S RUNNING HIGH. I TALKED TO DODGER ON DEALERSHIP NEAR ME. THEY SAY THAT MY VEHICLE DOESN'T HAVE RECALL NOTICES FOR RADIATOR PROBLEMS AND THEY WILL CHARGE ME TO REPAIR IT. THEY ARE NOW GIVING ME OFFERS TO BUY A NEW VEHICLE.
MY CAR DIES WHILE I'M DRIVING ENGINE JUST STOPS
THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) CONTROL MODULE FAILED. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE ABS CONTROL MODULE FOR THIS VEHICLE MODEL AND PRODUCTION YEAR. BUT CHRYSLER CLAIMS THIS PARTICULAR ABS MODULE IS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL AND THAT IT IS DUE TO A SHORT IN THE MODULE. I SHARE THIS INFORMATION SO YOU CAN INVESTIGATE TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS ANOTHER ISSUE WITH ABS MODULES. ANTI LOCK BRAKES ARE A SAFETY FEATURE THAT HELP PREVENT ACCIDENTS. IF THE CONTROL MODULES ARE FAILING ON VEHICLES THAT ARE ONLY 3 YEARS OLD THAT SEEMS LIKE MORE THAN COINCIDENCE. COULD THERE BE A CORRELATION BETWEEN SAFETY RECALL R61 ISSUED IN DECEMBER 2015 AND THE FAILURE OF THE ABS MODULE IN THIS VEHICLE?
'TAKATA RECALL' EVERY WINTER MY DODGE JOURNEYS 'SERVICE AWD, ABS LIGHT, AND TRACTION LIGHT' WILL COME ON WHEN THE SENSOR GETS COLD AND WET. IT SHIFTS OUT OF AWD COMPLETELY. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE EVERY SINGLE WINTER. IT IS RECALLED ON 2012-2015 MODELS BUT FOR SOME ODD REASON MY 2015 MODEL IS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL. VERY FRUSTRATING.
EVERYTIME IT RAINS THE CAR FLOODS ON EITHER THE PASSENGER SIDE OR DRIVER SIDE. THIS IS CAUSED ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS AND LIGHTS TO FLICKER. MAY LEAD TO EARLY CORROSION AND FRAME INSTABILITY.
THE VEHICLE STARTED SLOWING DOWN AND MAKING NOISES, NOT SHIFTING, DELAYED ENGAGEMENT, AND BEFORE EVERYTHING HAPPENED IT DIDN'T SHOW ANY SIGN OF PROBLEM ON THE BOARD (NO CHECK ENGINE) AND THE CAR WAS IN MOTION, ON A CITY STREET.
MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING STEERING ISSUES. THE STEERING WHEEL IS VERY HARD TO TURN AND SOMETIMES IT FEELS LIKE IT'S LOCKED AND IT WON'T TURN AT ALL. IT HAPPENS WHEN PULLING OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND TURNING (ESPECIALLY SHARP TURNS) AT LOW SPEED. THIS ISSUE STARTED WHEN THE WEATHER IS COLD.
MY JOURNEY WILL TURN OFF SITTING A STOP LIGHT OR JUST TURN OFF WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP POSITION. ENTERING OR EXITING TRAFFIC. WHEN CHECKING ENGINE LIGHT THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THIS CAUSING MY CAR TO TURN OFF.
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY APPROXIMATELY 45-50 MPH, BEGINNING TO ASCEND A SMALL HILL, AN EXTREMELY LOUD SQUEAK WAS HEARD AND THERE WAS A BRIEF PERIOD OF RESISTANCE BEFORE THE VEHICLE "LURCHED" FORWARD AND CONTINUED TO MAKE A CLACKING NOISE, FOLLOWED BY A LOUD CRACK AND MORE RESISTANCE TO ACCELERATION AS I PULLED OVER. THE VEHICLE IS AN AWD, 3YRS OLD AND HAD 52K MILES ON IT. IT WAS TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP AND REPAIRED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT THE COMPOUNDER HAD FAILED, LOCKING UP THE TRANSMISSION. THE AWD CONTINUED TO TRY TO POWER THROUGH, WHICH CRACKED THE POWER TAKE OFF (WHICH HAD A GIANT PIECE BROKEN OFF OF IT). THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION AND THE PTO, BUT COULDN'T EXPLAIN THE REASON FOR THE FAILURE. AS SUCH, I AM NOW CONSTANTLY WORRIED THAT THE SAME ISSUE MAY OCCUR AGAIN AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL FOR ANY INVESTIGATION INTO THIS OR SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THE POWERTRAIN ON THE 2015 DODGE JOURNEY AWD.

MY AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ILLUMINATED FOR SOME TIME NOW. IT GOES OFF AND ON BUT FOR SEVERAL DAYS IT'S BEEN ON CONSTANTLY. I CALLED DODGE BECAUSE THEY'RE IS AN OPEN RECALL FOR SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT. I MENTIONED THIS AND THEY SAID THERE'S IS NO RECALL FOR IT BUT I CAN PAY A $130 DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO SEE WHAT'S WRONG. NOW, I'VE SEARCHED THIS WEBSITE AND I HAVE SEE THE VERY SAME COMPLAINT FROM SEVERAL CONSUMERS. SHOULDN'T THAT RAISE A RED FLAG!? WHY ARE WE ALL HAVING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS WITH THE SAME EXACT MAKE AND MODEL? I WILL BE CONTACTING DODGE AND HAVE THEM DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. I HAVE A 16 YEAR OLD DRIVER AND I CAN'T IN GOOD FAITH EVEN PUT HER BEHIND THE WHEEL. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER DODGE. EVERY SINCE I HAVE PURCHASED THIS CAR IT'S BEEN RECALL AFTER RECALL. HEADREST DEPLOYED AND DISCONNECTED WHEN MY SON (9YEAR OLD) ELBOWED THE SEAT GETTING OUT, A PLASTIC PIECE WAS HOLDING A MEDAL ROD AND THE PLASTIC SPLIT PUSHING THE HEADREST FORWARD. CAR WAS PARKED STATIONARY.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT MY HEADREST WAS TOUCHING THE BACK OF MY HEAD MORE THAN NORMAL AND WHEN I STOPPED THE VEHICLE I LOOKED AT THE HEADREST AND IT HAD 'DEPLOYED' AND WILL NOT SHUT / GO BACK DOWN.
TAKATA RECALL I WAS DRIVING ONE DAY FROM WORK TO HOME IN CITY STREETS AND MY PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST POPPED OUT AND WHEN I LOOK THE CONNECTOR WHICH HOLD THE HEADREST WITH THE LOCK WAS BROKEN AND I CALL THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT THEY SAID THEY WILL FIX IT WITHOUT ANY CHARGE AS I KNOW IT HAPPEN WITH SO MANY OTHER DODGE JOURNEY AND WHEN I FINALLY WENT TO FIX THAT WITH DEALER SHIP THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME BY SAYING THE SEATS ARE TEMPERED WHICH IS NOT ALL WE DID PUT THE LEATHERS SEATS ON IT NOTHING ELSE BUT THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT EVEN THOUGH ONLINE IT HAPPEN WITH SO MANY DODGE THEY RECALL FOR 2011 TO 2014 DODGE JOURNEY BUT NOT FOR 2015 AND I AM GLAD NOBODY WAS SITTING ON THAT SEAT OTHERWISE IT WILL HIT THERE HEAD I HOPE YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT THANKS.
