DROVE HOME - NO ISSUES. ON 5/21/2020, CAR STARTED RIGHT UP AFTER FILLING UP, THEN DIED - NOT VACUUM ISSUE. TOW TRUCK DRIVER PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL MANUALLY TO TOW TO DEALERSHIP. SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD OF ISSUES. ON 5/25/2020, SERVICE ADVISOR CALLED-TECHNICIAN FOUND THE FUEL PUMP LOSING PRESSURE. FUEL PUMP MODULE AND FUEL PRESSURE MODULE REPLACED UNDER GOODWILL. RAN PERFECTLY, NO ISSUE. ON 6/11/2020, STARTED UP THEN DIED. TRANSMISSION TEMPERATURE GAUGE HOT, BUT NO ACTUAL TEMPERATURE SHOWN. A REMINDER THAT PLAGUED INTERMITTENTLY IN 2019 AND POSTED IN FIRST COMPLAINT TO NHTSB AND FCA. CAR TOWED ONCE AGAIN TO ROCKY TOP CDJR IN KODAK, TN - TECHNICIAN SAYS FUEL PUMP NO LONGER WORKING. TWO WEEKS OLD AND NOW NOT WORKING. PART IS BACK ORDERED TILL END OF MONTH?! NOW, HAVE RENTAL ON MY DIME. TODAY, 6/16/2020, SPOKE TO FIFTH (5TH) REPORTED FCA CASE MANAGER ON CONTINUING PROBLEMS. NO LONGER TRUST VEHICLE AND DEEPLY CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY BECAUSE VEHICLE HAS YET TO BE FIXED. HAVE FOUND OTHER NHTSA COMPLAINTS DISTURBINGLY SIMILAR FROM 2018, 2019 AND 2020: #11113660 (CA), NEXT 3 ARE GA, SAME CAR #11243797, #11244334, #11245530 AND #11317210 (FL). There is a backup camera recall for the Dodge Journey that I have been experiencing with my 2017 Dodge Journey since after the third year of owning my vehicle, I have replaced it twice already out of pocket, and now it’s happening again for the third time. My Dodge Journey needs to be included in this safety recall. The backup camera glitches, it goes upside down, it turns sideways, sometimes there are lines in it, other times it’s only half a picture or lines throughout the picture, it also goes black and white, then to colored again.
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 DODGE JOURNEY GT. STATED 500 MILES OUT OF 36,000 MILE WARRANTY THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN CHECKED BY A MECHANIC IT HAD THE FOLLOWING ERROR CODE, B1C29, LEFT SIDE SEAT THORAX SQUIB 1 CIRCUIT OPEN. CHRYSLER IS REFUSING TO REPAIR AS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE LIGHT FIRST APPEARED INTERMITTENTLY UPON IGNITION BUT NOW REMAINS ON WHENEVER THE CAR IS STARTED AND RUNNING. A WIRE UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT HAD BECOME DISCONNECTED *DT*TP
MY SON WAS DRIVING HOME AND THE CAR STARTED JERKING THEN SUDDENLY STOPPED. NO PRIOR INDICATION THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. HAD CAR TOWED TO MECHANIC & WAS TOLD TRANSMISSION IS HOT. $2100 TO REPAIR.
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR A FEW DAYS. AFTER A FEW DAYS THE LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON AND IT THEN IT COME BACK ON. WHEN IT DOES LIGHT UP IT DINGS. THE A/C AUTOMATICALLY TURNS ON AFTER I TURN IT OFF AND THE TOUCHSCREEN STARTS TO FLICKER WHEN THAT HAPPENS. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING SINCE 2/18/2020
THE AIRBAG LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON WHILE DRIVING OR ONCE THE CAR IS STARTED. IT WILL STAY ON FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN GO OFF. WHEN IT COMES ON WHILE THE CAR IS DRIVING IT WILL DING AND STAY ON FOR DAYS. THE AIR CONDITIONER/ HEATER JUMPS ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING. IT WILL BE OFF AND AUTOMATICALLY JUMP ON. I WILL TURN IT OFF AND THEN IT WILL JUMP ON AGAIN. THESE ISSUES WERE "FIXED" BY A DODGE DEALERSHIP IN MAY AND ARE STILL REOCCURRING.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, I LEFT MY HOME AND WAS HEADING TO WORK WHEN SOMEONE RAN A STOP SIGN. I HAD TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES TO AVOID BEING T-BONED. THE BRAKES WORKED AT FIRST, THEN THE PEDDLE PULSED AND WENT TO THE FLOOR BOARD. I PULLED OVER AND LOOKED FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKING UNDER THE VEHICLE. AFTER NOT SEEING ANY, I TRIED PUMPING THE BRAKES AND THE PEDDLE KIND OF STARTED WORKING AGAIN, BUT IF YOU KEEP PRESSURE ON THE PEDDLE, IT WILL GO TO THE FLOOR BOARD. WHEN YOU DRIVE IT, THE BRAKES BARLEY RESPOND FOR THE FIRST 1.5" TO 2" OF MOVEMENT, THEN MOST OF THE BRAKING IS IN THE NEXT 1" TO 1.5" OF MOVEMENT. AS YOU SIT AT A STOP APPLYING PRESSURE. THE PEDDLE WILL GO THE FLOOR BOARD. YOU CAN PUMP IT UP TO FIRM, WITH THE VEHICLE IN THE OFF POSITION, BUT AFTER YOU START IT, THE PEDDLE BECOMES SOFT AND AS STATED BEFORE, GOES TO THE FLOOR BOARD. 2 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS HAVE SAID THIS IS NORMAL, THE BRAKES DID NOT DO THIS BEFORE HAVING TO SLAM ON THEM. IT DOES NOT FEEL SAFE TO DRIVE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, IT SEEMS THAT THE 2018 DODGE JOURNEY IS ALREADY BEING RECALLED FOR A SIMILAR PROBLEM. THANK YOU FOR TIME.
THE FRONT WINSHIELD WIPERS ONLY WORK ON HIGH SPEED. WHEN YOU SHUT OFF THE WIPERS THEY STOP WHEREVER THEY WANT TO. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR VISIBILITY PURPOSES. HIGH SPEED WIPERS ARE NOT ALWAYS NEEDED.
MY 2017 JOURNEY WAS MANUFACTURED IN AUGUST OF 2016 DODGE HAS A RECALL FOR JOURNEYS FOR CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSORS FOR JOURNEYS THAT WERE MADE FROM MAY OF 2016 TO JULY 2016 MY CAR HAS BEEN STALLING OUT SINCE 40,000 MILES AND THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE UPON RESEARCH THIS MAY BE THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR AND THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE COMPLANTS ONLINE STATING OTHERS CARS HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THIS SENSOR BUT DODGE ONLY DID A LIMITED RECALL ON THESE VEHICLES. MY CAR JERKS 3-4 TIMES WHEN IN REVERSE THEN STALLS OUT OR IT JERKS 3-4 TIMES AND STALLS AT STOP LIGHTS OR SIGNS. OTHER ONLINE COMPLAINTS IVE SEEN STATE THAT PEOPLE HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH IT ALSO STOPPING MID DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS.
MY 2017 DODGE JOURNEY KEEPS GOING THROUGH BATTERIES. 1ST ONE AT APRIL 2018. 2ND ONE JAN 2020. DEALERSHIP JUST KEEPS PUT BATTERIES IN . NOT FIXING PROBLEM. ON DODGE FORUM OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEMS.
WE WERE DRIVING MY CAR LAST NIGHT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE WAS A BIG POP SOUND AND MY HUSBAND GOT HIT IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH THE HEADREST. I GUESS WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS THE HEADREST DEPLOYED OUT OF THE BLUE FOR NO REASON.
AFTER 65,500 MILES, MY TWO YEAR OLD DODGE JOURNEY HAS A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. THE HYDRAULIC PUMP BLEW AND CAUSED COMPLETE DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION COSTING ME $3500 TO GET THE COMPLETE TRANSMISSION REBUILT. IT'S RIDICULOUS THIS IS HAPPENING TO A 2 YEAR OLD CAR WITH ONLY 65K MILES ON IT
VEHICLE RANDOMLY STARTED JERKING AND LOSING POWER AS I DROVE HOME ON THE HIGHWAY. GOT IT CHECKED AND SAID IT WAS CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR BANK 1. GOT BOTH SENSORS CHANGED AND DID A RELEARN. AFTER 24 HOURS IT DID IT AGAIN. DONT KNOW IF IT IS WIRING OR COMPUTER PROBLEM...STILL GIVING SAME CODE WHEN CHECKED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD AND SMOKE APPEARED FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT COASTED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE OCCUPANTS EXITED THE VEHICLE. AFTERWARDS, THE VEHICLE BURST INTO FLAMES AND BURNED TO THE GROUND. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHERE MY HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS HAVE WENT OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND I GOT PULLED OVER THE OTHER NIGHT FOR NO HEADLIGHTS OR TAIL LIGHTS FOR IT BEING A HAZARD. I WORK NIGHT SHIFTS AND I NEED MY HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS UNLESS I AM IN A DIMLY LIGHT AREA AND I DONT KNOW OF THEY ARE ON OR NOT AND I DONT GET NO WARNING OF WHEN THEY ARE OFF. THAT IS WHY IM FILING THIS COMPLAINT.
MY WIFE WENT TO START THE JOURNEY, CAR WON'T START BRAKES WON'T PRESS DOWN ALL I HEAR IS CLICKING SOUND LIKE THE CAR WANTS TO START BUT WON'T, LOOK FOR HELP ONLINE WHAT I GET IS THAT IT'S A SECURITY ISSUE THAT HAS THE CAR LOCKED TRIED TO OVER RIDE BY DISCONNECTING THE POSITIVE CABLE TO RESET BUT NOTHING, I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH DODGE VEHICLES
WE HAVE REPLACED ALL THE TIRES ON THE VEHICLE AND IT IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD WITH 45K MILES ON IT. AND WE ARE GETTING READY TO REPLACE ANOTHER TIRE THAT IS NOT EVEN A YEAR OLD YET.

THE FAILURE CONTINUED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BATTERY FAILED TWO OUT OF THE THREE TIMES IT WAS TESTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.
GAS TANK IS LEAKING. NO DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE TO VEHICLE NO OFF ROAD ONLY DRIVEN ON HIGHWAYS. THE CAR DEVELOPED A GAS SMELL NO VISUAL LEAK UNTIL 2 DAYS LATER I PUT $40 IN GAS AND I GET HOME AND WHEN I COME BACK OUT THERE A BIG STAIN IN THE DRIVEWAY STRONG GAS SMELL I LOOK UNDER THE VEHICLE I SEE THE GAS TANK HAS VISUAL WET MARKS. AND I CAN LITERALLY WATCH GAS JUST ROLL DOWN THE TANK AND DRIP FROM WHERE THE FILLER HOSE MEETS THE GAS TANK, I WIPE THE TANK WITH A RAG WHERE THE FILLER HOSE MEETS THE BODY OF THE TANK I SEE IT JUST CONTINUE TO POUR GAS OUT. THERE IS NO BREAKS IN ANY HOSES NO VISUAL CRACK I NOTICE, MAY BE A SEAL I CANT TELL.
VEHICLE RANDOMLY STARTED FLASHING MESSAGES ON SCREEN, WIND SHIELD WIPERS TURNED ON, ALL LIGHTS ON DASH WERE GOING ON AND OFF, ENGINE FAILED AND BREAKS QUIT WORKING COMPLETELY, TURN SIGNALS AND HORN ALSO STARTED GOING OFF. ALL INDICATIONS THAT COMPUTER LOST CONNECTION WITH VEHICLE TEMPORARILY. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN ANOTHER ISSUE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW IN 2016 WHERE DURING SHARP TURNS THE FRONT TIRES MAKES A VERY LOUD GRINDING NOISE. WE WERE TOLD BY THE DEALER THEY COULDN'T FIND WHAT WAS WRONG AND TO WAIT FOR RECALL. WHERE IS THE RECALL? VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION WITH THE COMPUTER ISSUE. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WITH STEERING ISSUE.

I WAS DRIVING ON BRIARCLIFF RD AND MY CAR CUT OFF WHILE IT WAS ON (RUN) IT WAS IN MOTION. EVERYTHING LOCKED. THE BRAKES, GAS THE STEERING WHEEL. I SAT THERE I ALMOST WAS HIT. I KEPT TRYING TO PRESS THE GAS AND BRAKES BUT IT WOULDN'T PUSH DOWN. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT I WAS SCARED AND PANICKED. I THEN CUT THE CAR OFF AND IT CUT ON I IMMEDIATELY STARTED DRIVING TOWARD HOME.

THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE STARTER, WHICH WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
THERE BAG LIGHT HAS COME ON AT ABOUT 35,000 MILES AND HAS NOT WENT OFF. THE A/C AND HEAT KEEPS COMING ON WHENEVER IT WANTS NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I TURN IT OFF I HAVE WENT UP TO DODGE MULTIPLE TIMES AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED AS I AM OVER THE 30,000 MILES AND TO BE CHARGED 200 JUST TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND THEN CHARGE ME EVEN TO FIX IT IS RIDICULOUS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EARNHARDT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (LOCATED AT 1521 E DRIVERS WAY, GILBERT, AZ 85297, (480) 926-4000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MAP SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
THIS IS A FOLLOW-UP TO 11244334 AND 11243797. FOR BACKGROUND, THE 2017 JOURNEY BEGAN STALLING INTERMITTENTLY AND NOT THROWING A CODE (STARTING AT ABOUT 23,500 MILES). THE STALLING OCCURRED DURING ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS AND SPEEDS. THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE EVENT AND TOLD ME TO DRIVE UNTIL IT THROWS A CODE. AFTER 6,000 MILES AND HUNDREDS OF STALLS THE VEHICLE FINALLY THREW A CODE, (29,500 MILES, P0335 CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR). THE SENSOR REPLACED, CONNECTOR DID NOT FIT SENSOR WELL SO IT WAS REPLACED (SUBJECT OF COMPLAINT 11244334). THOUGHT IT WAS FIXED, AND THREE DAYS LATER, IT STALLED AGAIN ON THE HIGHWAY. ONLY THIS TIME THE TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON AND BRAKES DID NOT WORK INTERMITTENTLY. BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP, THE TECHNICIAN IN HIS FRUSTRATION AND OPENED THE WIRING HARNESS. WHAT HE FOUND ABOUT 8 INCHES FROM THE CONNECTOR WAS "CRANK SHAFT POSITION WIRES CUT AND TWISTED TOGETHER..." THE SERVICE ADVISOR ASKED WHO ELSE WAS IN THERE. I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE DONE ALL WORK AND MAINTENANCE MEANING THIS ISSUE WAS IN PRODUCTION.
THE 2017 DODGE JOURNEY STALLS INTERMITTENTLY AT ALL SPEEDS AND DRIVING CONDITIONS. STOP AND GO IN TRAFFIC, ACCELERATING ON THE HIGHWAY, COASTING UP A HILL, STARTING FROM A STOP IN AN INTERSECTION. USUALLY NO CODES ARE THROWN. RECENTLY THE P0335 CODE WAS THROWN, CRANKSHAFT SPEED SENSOR WAS REPLACED. DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE 2016 JOURNEY'S WERE RECALLED FOR THE SAME ISSUE. ARE THE 2017'S NOT WORTHY OF A RECALL OR DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO DIE FIRST?
THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF 11243797. FOR BACKGROUND, THE 2017 DOGE JOURNEY HAS BEEN STALLING INTERMITTENTLY STARTING AT 23,000 MILES MOST OF THE TIME NOT THROWING A CODE. THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T RECREATE THE PROBLEM AND WITHOUT A CODE COULD NOT FIX WITHOUT A CODE. WE ENDURED 7,000 MILES AND 100'S OF STALLS (STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, HIGHWAY, LEFT TURNS IN FRONT OF ON-COMING TRAFFIC) BEFORE A CODE WAS THROWN INDICATING CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. UPON INSPECTION THE DEALER TECHNICIAN NOTED THAT THE CONNECTOR TO THE SENSOR DID NOT FIT THE SENSOR.

2017 DODGE JOURNEY SXT IS STALLING OUT AT VARIOUS SPEEDS CAUSING EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD TO THOSE ON BOARD AND OTHER MOTORISTS. THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN ADDRESSED AT LEAST 6 - 7 TIMES NOW ONLY TO CONTINUE. DODGE KNOWS SOMETHING BUT HAS REFUSED TO COME FORWARD WITH A RECALL.
ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASH AND I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT THE CAR WAS HESITATING AND FELT AS IT WAS LOSING POWER WHILE ACCELERATING. I THEN TOOK IT INTO AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND WAS INFORMED THAT MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND WAS OVER $800 IN REPAIRS. WHILE RESEARCHING ONLINE, I CAME ACROSS A RECALL FOR THE SAME EXACT ISSUE ON THE 2011-2016 SERIES OF THE DODGE JOURNEYS. I FEEL AS IF THE 2017 SERIES SHOULD BE INCLUDED AS WELL.
MY AIR KEEPS COMING BACK ON , NOT MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THAT I TURN IT OFF. IT COMES BACK ON BY ITSELF. THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND JERKS ON THE BACK ROADS, HIGHWAY AND INTERSTATE. I WAS TOLD BY THE SALESMAN THAT HE WOULD GET BACK TO ME IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THAT IS NOT PROFESSIONAL AND IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR EVERYONE IN MY VEHICLE.
ON JULY 17TH 2019. I WAS GAINING SPEED ON AN ENTRANCE RAMP TO HIGHWAY 95N IN STAFFORD, VA. AS I APPROACHED 60 MPH THE SUV'S STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP ON ME AND I COULDN'T TURN THE WHEEL. I TRIED THE BRAKES AND THE BRAKES WOULDN'T WORK THEY WERE HARD AND WOULD NOT PUSH DOWN. I LET IT SLOW ITSELF DOWN AND MADE IT TO THE SIDE OF 95N. I THEN PUT THE SUV IN PARK WITH HAZARDS ON. I EXITED THE SUV TO CHECK FOR ANY DAMAGE AND OR INDICATIONS OF WHAT CAUSED THE SVU TO LOCK UP WHILE DRIVING. THERE WAS NO SIGN OF ANYTHING THAT I COULD SEE. I RETURNED TO THE DRIVER'S SEAT RESTARTED THE SUV. AFTER NOTICING THAT THE RADIO WAS ON BUT NOT SURE IF THE TRUCK WAS ON. SO I RESTARTED IT TO BE SURE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING. I DROVE IT HOME, 10 MINUTES DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 50 MPH AND CALLED THE LUSTINE DEALERSHIP AND HAD IT TOWED TO THEM. I CAN SAY THAT THE WEATHER WAS 98 DEGREES REAL FEEL AT 110. THIS WAS AROUND 2 IN THE AFTERNOON. THE LUSTINE DEALERSHIP HAD MY SUV FROM THEN UNTIL JULY 22ND. THEY PUT OVER 100 MILES ON MY SUV AND SAID THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THEY TOLD ME TO JUST WAIT AND SEE IF IT DOES IT AGAIN. AFTER HAVING THE PROBLEM AND GIVING THEM THE SUV I LOOKED ON HERE AND SAW A SUV WITH THE SAME EXACT EXPERIENCE. I TOLD THE LUSTINE DEALERSHIP AND GAVE THEM AN EMAIL WITH THIS INFORMATION AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO CONTACT THE OTHER DEALERSHIP LISTED IN THE COMPLAINT ON HERE. WHICH DID FIND OUT THE CAUSE. LUSTINE HAD MY SUV WHEN I GAVE THEM THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE OTHER SUV. ALSO MY SUV HAD ABOUT 26485 WHEN IS HAPPENED. THE LUSTINE DEALERSHIP DIDN'T EVEN PUT ON MY PAPER WORK THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM OR WHERE IN TOOK PLACE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 59297663. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.

AFRAID TO LEAVE THE CAR IN THE PARKING LOT, I CALLED MY HUSBAND WHO CONFIRMED THAT BOTH MY SET OF CAR KEYS AND HIS SET OF CAR KEYS WERE AT HOME ON THE KEY HOOK. I'M EXTREMELY PUZZLED AS TO HOW MY CAR STARTED WITHOUT THE KEY FOB, LET ME DRIVE IT WITHOUT WARNING ME THERE WAS NO KEY FOB IN THE CAR, AND THEN LET ME RESTART IT SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT THE KEY FOB. WE JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR USED A MONTH AGO, AND THE SALES PERSON GAVE US BOTH KEY FOBS. I TORE THE CAR APART, GLOVE BOX, CENTER CONSOLE UNDER SEATS, EVERYWHERE AND NO OTHER KEY FOB HAS BEEN FOUND. THE STEERING LOCKS UP LIKE IT'S POWER STEERING BUT IT'S NOT I LOSE ALL CONTROL OF ACCELERATION THE ONLY WAY TO REGAIN CONTROL IS TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK TURN IT OFF TURN IT BACK ON SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T WANT TO START RIGHT BACK UP THIS HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES WHILE MY KIDS ARE IN THE CAR AND WHILE IN MOTION AND THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT ALL THEY DO IS UPDATE THE COMPUTER.

WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL/STABILITY LIGHT CAME ON. YOU COULD FEEL THE CAR LOOSEN UP, AND THE ENGINE SOUND LIKE IT WAS MISFIRING OR SKIPPING. THE CAR DID NOT LOSE POWER, AND RAN FINE THE NEXT TIME I DROVE IT. HOWEVER, IT HAS HAPPENED A FEW MORE TIMES. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP, SO WE WILL SEE WHAT THEY SAY. I DID SEE THAT THE 2012-2015 MODELS UNDERWENT A RECALL FOR SOMETHING SIMILAR. MAYBE IT IS THAT SAME ISSUE ON THIS MODEL. ALSO, A FEW MONTHS BACK I WAS DRIVING WHEN THE BOLTS HOLDING THE SERPENTINE BELT (DON'T KNOW THE EXACT NAME OF THE SYSTEM) BROKE OFF. THE CAR OVERHEATED AND COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. THEY USED SHORT 8MM BOLTS TO HOLD UP THE SYSTEM AND THEY FAILED. DEALERSHIP OR CHRYSLER WOULD NOT COVER COSTS OF AROUND $175 TO FIX, WITH NO ASSURANCE THAT A LONGER 8MM BOLT WOULD HOLD UP LONG TERM. THE CAR HAS LESS THEN 50K MILES ON IT.
