Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)HEARD SIZZILING SOUND, SMELLED BURNING AND CAR STOPPED COMPLETELY WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I WAS JUST ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE COMPUTER COMPONENT UNDER THE DASH IS BURNT. THE CAR WILL NOT START AT ALL. LUCKILY I WAS NOT IN HEAVY TRAFFIC WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I HAVE HEARD OF SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO THEIR TALON,ECLIPSE OR LASER WHICH ARE ALL THE SAME EXACT CAR WITH IDENTICAL COMPONENTS.*AK
BATTERY REPLACED.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
