Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM HAS BEEN IN A STATE OF MALFUNCTION SINCE JANUARY 2018, AND STILL IS AS OF THIS DATE 08/30/18. A COMPLAINT HAS BEEN FILED WITH FIAT CHRYSLER WITH NO RESOLUTION- FIAT CHRYSLER WILL NOT EVEN RETURN A PHONE CALL. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP APPROX. 6 DIFFERENT TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE FOR A VEHICLE MANUFACTURER FOR A FEDERALLY MANDATED SAFETY SYSTEM.
CONTIPROCONTACT TIRES ON A FIAT 500. SO FAR MY WIFE HAS SUFFERED TWO CATASTROPHIC BLOWOUTS ON INTERSTATE 285 IN ATLANTA OF THE SIDE-WALL IN UNDER 6000 MILES. HAD TO REPLACE/BUY BOTH TIRES. FORTUNATELY SHE WAS DRIVING SLOW ENOUGH TO KEEP THE CAR UNDER CONTROL. BUT NOW I FEAR FOR HER LIFE EVERY DAY SHE DRIVES BACK AND FORTH TO WORK. *TR
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
