THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE DASH HAS COME LOOSE AND BOUNCES WHEN TRAVERSING SPEED BUMPS AND ROUGH ROADS. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH A FORD ENGINEERED MODIFICATION MADE IN PRODUCTION AND THE FORD DEALER IN POWAY DID NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT.
2ND TIME 4- WHEEL DRIVE HAS FAILED TO ENGAGE, 1ST TIME HUB WAS PROBLEM, LOUD NOISES COMING FROM TRANSER CASE. AXEL IS NOT BENT OR TWISTED. LOUD WINDING NOISE, EVEN AFTER DISENGAGE AUTO HUBS. LOUD "CLUNK" OCCURRED JUST PRIOR TO FAILURE. FAILURE OCCURRED AS VEHICLE WAS ASCENDING A 15 DEGREE SLOP IN 4 WHEEL LOW. FIRST FAILURE WAS WITH ORIGINAL PART, HUB, AND WAS REPLACED WITH A DEALER PART, SINCE THIS IS A DEALER ONLY PART. FIRST FAILURE ACCURRED UNDER NORMAL USAGE AS WELL. THE TRUCK IS USED ON HIGHWAY AND CITY DRIVING WITH OCCASIONAL NEED FOR 4 WHEEL DRIVE ON MUDDY TWO TRACK ROADS. NOTHING BEYOND THE NORMAL FOR SUCH A TRUCK. *AK
TRANSMISSION DOES NOT GET INTO GEAR QUICKLY ENOUGH. TRANSMISSION WOULD GO INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE. CONTACTED DEALER, AND DEALER CHANGED TRANSMISSION. PROBLEM STILL OCCURS.*AK
COMPLETE FAILURE OF REAR DIFFERENTIALS - ALL INTERNAL PARTS DESTROYED. FORD DEALER THAT REPAIRED VEHICLE GAVE NO REASON FOR FAILURE. NO EXTERNAL DAMAGE. VEHICLE USED NORMALLY - NO OFF-ROAD OR HEAVY TRAILER USE. CONTACTED FORD VICE PRESIDENT, NOT COMPENSATION OFFERED. PAID $3K TO REPAIR REAR END WITH NO DEALER WARRANTY. REASON: NOT SURE WHY IT WENT OUT BEFORE. FORD STATED THAT DUE TO FAILURE HAPPENING 36 MONTHS A 14 DAYS AFTER VEHICLE MANUFACTURED - NOT COVERED UNDER POWERTRAIN WARRANTEE. CONTACTED BBB, NO ASSISTANCE. SOLD BRONCO AND WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER FORD PRODUCT AGAIN DUE TO THE WAY I WAS TREATED BY THE COMPANY. THE DEALER THAT FIXED THE UNIT TOLD ME THAT HE "FELT" IT WAS DUE TO A DEFECT IN MATERIALS IN THE REAR END - BUT COULD/WOULD NOT PUT THAT IN WRITING.*AK
TRANSMISSION/DRIVE TRAIN COMPONENTS FAILED.
TRANSMISSION NOISE AT SPEEDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH.
VEHICLE HAS 3.08 AXLE IN FRONT AND 3.05 IN REAR AND WHEN ENGAGE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE BLOWS OUT THE DRIVE TRAIN. TT
