NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2024 Ford Bronco. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
The following systems and features have been repeatedly failing in my vehicle, posing a safety hazard: 1) The side view mirrors change orientation automatically while driving. 2) The blind spot warning is inconsistent and is not trustworthy. 3) The infotainment display turns off erratically while crossing critical intersections where I am supposed to turn. This is extremely distracting and poses a severe safety risk. 4) The infotainment system’s audio volume, audio source and car play connection turns off randomly. This is extremely distracting and poses a severe accident risk. 5) The air conditioning strength and temperature changes automatically with the fan blowing extremely cold or extremely hot air. 6) The windshield wiper automatic speeds are mis-calibrated and gradation between the various levels is non-linear and erratic. This forces the driver to frequently adjust the wiper speed while driving, posing a distraction and accident risk. 7) The automatic high beam feature doesn’t work, or works erratically. This ambiguity causes distraction and dangerous night time driving situations. 8) With manual operation of high and low beams, there is a significant delay while switching from one to another, posing risk while night time driving. 9) The windshield cleaning feature with dispersal of the fluid works erratically. It works some of the time and doesn’t work other times. This ambiguity poses a severe risk while driving due to unclear windshield. 10) The tire pressure sensor displays inaccurate inflation pressure at times. This ambiguity can be catastrophic given the vehicle size and California’s mountain road driving under slick and snowy conditions. 11) The GPS directions displayed on phone and infotainment system are inaccurate and inconsistent, causing massive confusion while exiting. This is a new vehicle from 2024 and has been inspected and serviced at the dealership diligently. I have video evidence for some of the problems.
Since I purchased my vehicle I noticed that the left blinker would turn on sometimes when I put my right blinker on and made a right turn. Usually when you use your right blinker and make a right hand turn, as soon as your vehicle straightens out the blinker should then go off. Instead, this triggers the left blinker to turn on by itself. I am very concerned for my safety and my children's safety as others my think I am turning and I am not. I actually just got off the phone with the department and also got your email address, and will also email my concerns as well. This has been "attempted" to be fixed by Ford, and has been unsucessful. They currently do not have a "fix" for this safety problem. I purchased the bronco in july 2024 and has 10k miles on it.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while pulling out of the driveway, the contact noticed that the driver’s side passenger’s window fell from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to dealer where a diagnostic was undisclosed. The contact was informed that the window needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 365.
There is an issue when I try to pump gas the pump repeatedly kicks off. It happens every time I put gas in my vehicle. It causes me to not know when the fuel is full. It’s not an issue with the gas pump because it happens at all different locations. It’s a problem with the vehicle itself.
I was driving down the road and the front end of the car started to shake. The power to the car then went out. The message on the dash said to put it in park and restart so I did. I was able to get it started, and put it in drive and then it shook again and the power went out. The message on my Ford App said that there were two issues with the transmission. One was a transmission shift solenoid not responding and the other message was that the transmission clutch did not apply within the time as expected resulting in delayed or hard shifts into another gear. Each time the gear was shifted after start up the entire truck went dead again.
The display screen freezes up disabling all functions.Including back up camera,A/C, and radio.
The contact owns a 2024 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while pulling out of the driveway two days after purchasing the vehicle, the contact noticed water leaking on the rear seats through the driver’s and the passenger’s side of the roof. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the water was leaking through the front seals of the roof while the vehicle was parked on an incline with the front of the vehicle facing up. The dealer informed the contact that it was a common failure, and that the vehicle needed to be parked in a different direction to prevent the failure from recurring. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 35.
