Manufacturer Recall Number23S64 NHTSA Recall Number23V905 THE ENGINE OIL PUMP DRIVE BELT TENSIONER ARM FRACTURED, SEPARATED FROM THE TENSIONER BACKING PLATE, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF ENGINE OIL PRESSURE. THE FORD DEALERSHIP HAS CONFIRMED AND DOES NOT HAVE PARTS FOR REPAIR UNTIL 2025. FORD WILL NOT PROVIDE A RENTAL AND THIS VEHICLE IS NEEDED FOR WORK. FORD STATES THIS ISSUE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR A RENTAL CAR. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?
The engine oil light came on in my car. It went off and then came back on. I eventually could not drive. I lost all oil pressure. I see from online research that the car has a history of the oil pump sensor arm fracturing. I was traveling and away from home when it happened. My car has been in Oneonta Ford now for approximately 6 weeks. They keep giving me different reasons why they can't fix the car but Ford has been sued many times for this issue and failing to fix it and notify drivers about the defect.

On [XXX] a low engine oil pressure light came on. I checked my oil and it was fine. I contacted ford and they told me there was a recall but my car was still safe to drive. On [XXX] the engine light came on as well as the same warning. Upon leaving work my car lost acceleration and all power to the car including the brakes. I had it towed to ciocca ford of york pa. I am now without a car and keep getting the run around about approval for a loaner car. I am unable to trade the car in since it will be at the dealership for a lengthy time which is affecting my chances of getting financing for another vehicle since I still have an auto loan. I realize there is an open recall of 23V905. As well, my vehicle did experience a loss of oil pressure which caused the engine to fail. My local Ford Dealership DID replace the engine. However, the recall is still open given the fact the oil pump is still part of the original recall. My frustration is that this recall has been opened since February 2024 and there is no time frame of the repair and closing of the recall and Ford Motor Company refuses to take a complaint on it and has not communicated to their dealerships as to the time frame.
ABIM MODULE FOR THE TOUCHSCREEN AND RADIO WENT OUT. CAR BROKE DOWN DUE TO RECALL 23V905 04/2024. RADIO WORKED AT THIS TIME. TOWED TO FORD AND THEY REPLACED THE PART. BUT NOW RADIO DOESN'T WORK AND BATTERY WAS DEAD. CAR WAS JUMPED OFF AT FORD DEALERSHIP AND DRIVEN 3 MILES DOWN THE ROAD, GOT BATTERY REPLACED. RADIO STILL DIDN'T WORK AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK BACK TO FORD DEALERSHIP. THEY KEPT CAR AND SAID TIMER ON THE MOTOR WAS OFF AND THAT STILL WAS COVERED UNDER THE RECALL 23V905. BUT THEY TOOK ZERO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE RADIO GOING OUT. CAR HAS < 90K MILES ON IT. FORD IS NOW TELLING ME THE ABIM MODULE WENT OUT AND WILL BE $3K TO FIX. THE CAR IS JUNK!!!!!!

I was given my 2nd recall letter. I called ford recall customer service center was told the car is fine until anything goes wrong with the brakes. I was driving my car in light of this. I got a car wash at mobile gas station. The car wash washed underneath the vehicle and after going out the car wash the brakes made a LOUD squeaky sound. I contacted ford like they stated now no answer to my issue just the run around. What can I do? Also when I first bought this vehicle in 2019 I was baking out of my driveway on a slight incline. And heard a loud noise again backing out after just receiving the brand new car.
My vehicle has had a recall on it for more than 6 months now and there is still no remedy. I am nervous to risk driving my car knowing something is recalled and could malfunction at any moment

About 2 weeks ago airbag censor light came on dash and stays on now indicating something wrong with one of our airbags, we just got our car back on March 8th 2024, it only has a little over 44,000 miles on our car, the dealership we got it at is supposed to look at it and see what's wrong with it, I've read about all the recalls for this year and model our car has, we didn't know anything about any recalls for our car when we purchased it, just read about them today, I also read about the Tanaka airbag recall that is making it dangerous to drive your car, when we go this Wednesday to have our car look at, I'm going to mention all of the recalls on the car that the dealership didn't tell us about.
My car can no longer accelerate and multiple lights came on, this all happened while i was driving and there was no warning signs that my car was about to do that it just happened out of nowhere while I was driving it.Now I can’t drive my vehicle until it is repaired but the recall parts are still not available so I don’t know what to do to fix my car.
I believe the component that failed is engine oil pump belt tensioner this is a recalled item. It is available for inspection however it cannot be checked out by Ford itself. I have notified 3 dealerships and they all stated that the part will be available in the second quarter and that's it. My car cannot run properly the brakes don't work the engine is making noises and I have a low oil pressure light on. My safety and the safety of others was put at risk when my brakes stopped working while I was driving it. The problem has not been confirmed because they won't let me drop it off until later on this month. My car isn't working and it's the only car I have. There was an low oil pressure light as well as my check engine light. My car engine was making rattling noises and my transmission is having issues shifting. This first appeared June 28th 2024. The Ford company has lied to me and told me that even though there is a recall on my car that it is still drivable.
The vehicle experiences a sudden loss of power/acceleration randomly. Sometimes this happens while driving on the freeway and I cannot accelerate to move to the shoulder. Other times, I can accelerate but very slowly. When this happens, the check engine light will come on and I also receive a powertrain malfunction alert on my Ford app. This issue first occurred on [XXX] - I had to have it towed to Ford. They stated it was the battery then, so I purchased a new one. I brought the vehicle back to Ford for the same issue on [XXX], and then on [XXX] I was driving on the beltway and lost complete acceleration of the car. The check engine light and powertrain light came on. The vehicle would not drive. I had it towed to Ford and they had replaced the engine under the original manufacturing warranty. I got the vehicle back on 10/3/23. Even after replacing the engine, I started to experience the same issue. I brought the car back to Ford on [XXX]. Then once again I brought it back to Ford on [XXX]. On 4/30/24 they said the vehicle was ready to be picked up and the part was covered under the Service warranty so I only paid $100. Within 1 mile of leaving the dealership, my powertrain malfunction light came on and my vehicle lost power, I could only accelerate up to 30mph. I drove the car straight back to Ford. They then called me on May 28th/24 and said they replaced 2 more parts and the car was fixed. Within 3 miles of leaving Ford, once again the powertrain malfunction light came on and I could not accelerate over 40mph. I drove the car back to Ford and it is still there now.
