My car can no longer accelerate and multiple lights came on, this all happened while i was driving and there was no warning signs that my car was about to do that it just happened out of nowhere while I was driving it.Now I can’t drive my vehicle until it is repaired but the recall parts are still not available so I don’t know what to do to fix my car.
Car is real sluggish, hard to shift, stalls out, hard to crank up after fueling
I was having issues where accelerating was difficult for a couple weeks. Then I was going 70 on the highway and began dropping speed quickly (down to 30 mph within 30 seconds). I was pressing on the gas and nothing was happening. My check engine light turned on and the wrench light showed up, my screen when black and I had to pull over, felt like car stalled. Turned car off and then back on to try to get somewhere safer. Far would not go over 20 pulled into parking spot and breaks didn’t work. Got towed to my family mechanic and he drove it and said the same thing happened (he thought it was electric so send me to ford dealer). Dealer could not find anything wrong except a software update was needed. Problem was resolved but I found it hard to believe that was it. Fast forward 10 months later same thing happens. Lights turned on then off. Auto stop/start no longer working. Car feels like it is struggling to accelerate again and once I’m up to the intended speed it seems like it doesn’t want to change gears. Car basically seems like it is driving all wrong.
Stalling, jerking, losing power
Engine failed one me [XXX] it sat in my drive until it made its way to Sarasota Ford on July 9, 2024. I have no been able to drive this car at all for about 2 years now. (July 9th, 2024 - 5/2025) When driving the car it goes from 40mph to 9mph in the middle of traffic putting not only mi life in danger but others. I have compiled to the motor company about how dangerous this car is. My car has had about 3 engines and still has the same problem the recall was put out for. I was told that after so many times of them trying to fix the car and it’s still Not working they have to replace are car by putting us in the same year or newer year make and model but ford doesn’t want to do so they just want to keep replacing and installing engines that obviously has the recall problem. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 FORD ECOSPORT. AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 TO 40 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE SPEED DRASTICALLY REDUCED. ALSO, WHILE THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET AT 78 MPH, THE SPEED ERRONEOUSLY DECELERATED TO 74 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MULLINAX FORD (2317 STATE RD 44, NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL), BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,300.
