THE ENGINE STOPPED WHILE CAR WAS UNDER WAY ON A BUSY ROAD (OIL LIGHT CAME ON, POWER JUST DIED TO EVERYTHING). CAR HAD UNDER 1200 MILES. DEALER FIXED PER A TECHNICAL BULLETIN. 3/8/03 IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY, ACCIDENT NARROWLY AVOIDED. CAR HAS ABOUT 4600 MILES. CAR IS BACK AT DEALER. WHY HAS THIS RECURRED?. *JB
VEHICLE STALLED WHILE COASTING DOWN A GENTLE HILL AT 40MPH- DIFFICULT TO STEER AND HAD TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO AVOID CRASHING MYSELF AND MY INFANT INTO CAR INFRONT OF ME.*AK
THE CHECK ENGINE/OIL LIGHT ILLUMINATED, AND THE VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED THE MAIN COMPUTER WAS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. *JB
ENGINE BLOCK CRACKED WHILE I WAS DRIVING CAUSING THE OIL PAN TO EXPLODE AND THE OIL CAUGHT ON FIRE.
THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE SRS LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD AND REMAINED ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE SENSOR HAD ALREADY BEEN REPLACED SIX TIMES. *JB
ENGINE CUT OUT TWICE TODAY WHILE DRIVING. LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. THIS IS THE 5TH FAILURE SINCE PURCHASE.

FORD ESCAPE XLT MIDNIGHT EDITION 2002 STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON A CLEAR DAY. LUCKILY THERE WAS ROADWORK SO I COULD PULL OVER EASILY ALTHOUGH BRAKING AND STEERING WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. ONE WEEK LATER CAR DIDN'T START AND GARAGE TOLD ME THAT THE BATTERY HAD BURST, THEY REPLACED BATTERY.*JB
AFTER 20,000 MILES ABS SENSOR LIGHT STAYS ON INTERMITTENTLY. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
HIGH REVVING WHEN IN DRIVE,NEUTRAL,PARK. RPM UP TO 4. NOTICED WHEN AT STOP LIGHTS THAT IT WAS REVVING VERY HIGH, PULLED OVER AND PUT IT IN PARK AND THE CAR WILL REV TO 4. I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM OVER 6 TIME TO FORD DEALERSHIPS IN VALENCIA, CA. AND PALMDALE, CA. THEY ALWAYS SAY THEY NO WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND THEY FIX IT WITH NO CHARGE, HOWEVER IT ALWAYS COMES BACK. I HAVE ALL MY SERVICE REPAIRS DOCUMENTED. I HAVE TAKEN MY COMPLAINT TO THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. AND THEY HAVE PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH THE DISTRICT SERVICE MANAGER, HOWEVER, HAS NEVER CONTACTED ME. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. FOR A WHILE MY 16 YEAR OLD WAS DRIVING IT AND MY CONCERN FOR AN ACCIDENT WAS GREAT. SHE DOES NOT DRIVE IT ANYMORE. PLEASE ADVISE. *LA
WHEN DRIVING MY 2002 FORD ESCAPE, 35MPH, SLIGHTLY DOWNHILL, THE CAR LOSES POWER. IT BECOMES DIFFICULT TO BRAKE AND STEER. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE BUYING THE CAR IN JULY 2002. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED.
THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. *JB
CONSUMER STATED THE GEAR SHIFTER DESIGN WAS DEFECTIVE. SHIFTER IS ATTACHED TO STEERING COLUMN AND IS TOO LONG. WHENEVER CONSUMER TURNS ON RADIO GEAR IS KNOCKED INTO NEUTRAL.*JB
I HAVE NOW HAD MY ESCAPE FOR 9 MONTHS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 01/10/03 BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT PAST 2ND GEAR (NO MATTER HOW FAST I WAS GOING). THE DEALER REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION AND WHEN THEY TEST DROVE IT EVEN THE NEW TRANSMISSION DID NOT WANT TO SHIFT. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVE NOT HAD MY VEHICLE FOREVER AND THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO CONTACT ME ABOUT MY VEHICLE OR RETURN MY CALLS.
VEHICLE QUIT RUNNING WHILE ENTERING A FREEWAY BRIDGE, RESULTING IN A PARTIAL LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY, RESULTING IN A VERY UNSAFE AND POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER PLACING IT IN PARK AND CYCLING THE KEY. I CONTACTED FORD (800-392-3673), INQUIRED IF THIS IS KNOWN PROBLEM AND WHAT SHOULD BE DONE. FORD INDICATED THERE WAS NOT A KNOWN PROBLEM, (IN OTHER WORDS THEY LIED), BUT I SHOULD TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. I TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER THE FOLLOWING MORNING, SO THEY COULD CHECK FOR TROUBLE CODES. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE FOUND NO CODES, AND THAT NO TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS EXIST FOR THIS ISSUE, AND THAT EVERYTHING ELSE CHECKED OUT OKAY. I BELIEVE A SAFETY DEFECT EXISTS, AS FORD HAS ISSUED AT LEAST THREE TSB''S (#15434 '' 11/1/2001; #15589 '' 1/1/2002; #0286 - 4/1/2002), ON THIS ISSUE AND MANY CONSUMERS HAVE REGISTERED COMPLAINTS WITH NHTSA.
NAR 05/28/2003 *MR THE CONSUMER FAILED TO MAINTAIN REASONABLE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHICH CAUSED TWO CAR COLLISION. *CB
WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE ORTEGA HWY (VERY CURVY ROAD), I STARTED DECELERATING FOR AN UPCOMING CURVE, AND WITHOUT WARNING, THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES STOPPED WORKING, THE CAR DIED AND SLOWLY ROLLED TO A STOP. INDICATOR LIGHTS CAME ON. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR. I WAS EXTREMELY FORTUNATE THAT THIS DID NOT CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. SINCE THEN I FEEL VERY UNSAFE WHENEVER DRIVING THE CAR, WONDERING IF IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN. A CAR STALLING WITHOUT ANY INDICATION AND FOR NO REASON IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND CAN POTENTIALLY CAUSE FATAL ACCIDENTS. I BELIEVE THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE RECALLED FOR THE SAFETY ALL DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS ON THE ROAD, SINCE IT CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME, WITHOUT WARNING. I RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT THE MANUFACTURER IS AWARE OF THIS DEFECT, AND I AM ABSOLUTELY APPALLED AND OUTRAGED THAT THEY ARE CONTINUING TO SELL VEHICLES THAT COMPROMISE THE SAFETY THEIR CONSUMERS. *AK
ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASSIONS VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON A CLEAR ROAD, AT A MINIMAL SPEED. DIFFICULT TO PULL OFF ROAD, STEERING AND DRIVING WERE DIFFICULT, ALL WARNING LIGHT ON DASHBOARD ILLUMINATED.
FORD ESCAPE XLT 2002 STALLED WHILE DRIVING DOWNHILL, I WAS GOING 35 MPH ON A CLEAR DAY. THIS WAS A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE, MY BRAKES AND STEERING WAS DIFFICULT.
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, OUR 2002 FORD ESCAPE 4X4 HAS STALLED WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DECREASING SPEED TO STOP, WHILE ACCELARATING FROM A STOPPED POSITION AND WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. EACH TIME, THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE REMOVED FROM TRAFFIC AND PLACED IN PARK OR NUETRAL TO RESTART. ON ONE OCCASION THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE OTHERS HAD NO INSTRUMENTATION LIGHTS GO ON.
FORD ESCAPE '02 STALLED WHEN GOING 40 MPH UP THE HILL. TS
THE AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND THEN THE LIGHT WAS OFF. I'VE HAD THE CAR NOW FOR 10 YEARS THIS DECEMBER. I CAN'T RECALL A TIME MY AIRBAG LIGHT HAS NOT BEEN ON. JUST RECENTLY I STARTED RESEARCHING AND FOUND THEIR IS A SHORT WIRE UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT AND IT HAS A LITTLE GRAY PRONG ON IT. THE GRAY PRONG NEEDS TO BE GROUNDED AND IT SHOULD BE ATTACHED THE BARS THE SEAT SLIDES BACK AND FORTH ON. I STUCK THE GRAY PLUG IN AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT WENT OUT. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS EVERY TIME YOU MOVE THE SEAT IT PUSHES THE GRAY PLUG DOWN AND EVENTUALLY IT WILL COME BACK ON AND I WILL HAVE TO FIX IT AGAIN. FORD NEEDS TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS AN EASY FIX AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DON'T CHANGE THE PLUG OR MAKE A LONGER CORD. FORD NEEDS TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I LOVE MY CAR BUT HATE THE FRUSTRATION. *JB
THE BRAKES SEIZED, WHICH CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO LOCK UP. *DT *JB
CAR WENT OUT OF CONTROL DURING A SIMPLE LANE CHANGE LEFT ON INTERSATE I-90, UNABLOE TO STEER, SWERVED AND SPUN AROUND AND HIT TALL CONCRETE MEDIUM, AIR BAGS WERE EMPLOYED. GOOD WEATHER 48 DEGREES, NO ICE OR OIL, WAS NOT UP TO FULL SPEED AS HAD JUST GOTTEN ON THE INTERSTATE.
NAR 02/28/2003 MR THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS WITH THE CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL. *CB
WHILE DRIVING THE AT 30PMH THE STEERING WHELL BECOME INOPERABLE. BRAKES LOCK UP. DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE OR CORRECT THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. TS
ON MY NEW FORD ESCAPE 2002 BOUGHT 8-2002. MY GAS PEDAL STUCK, MY BRAKES WERE LEAKING FLUID MY IGNITION HAS BROKE. MY PASSANGER SIDE REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN OR CLOSE PROPERLY AND HAS OPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THERE IS A VIBRATION IN MY LEFT FRONT END AND MY AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON AT TIMES MY DRIVER SIDE SAFTEY RESTRAINT HAS SHEARED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I HAVE EXPERIENCED ENGINE STALLING WHILE DRIVING. ALL VITAL FUNCTIONS FROZE SO I LOST STEERING CAPABILITY, BRAKES, ACCELERATION, ETC. I COULD NOT RESTART THE CAR UNTIL THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP (IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION) AND I COULD PUT THE CAR INTO 'PARK'. I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE TO HAVE ONLY BEEN GOING AT LOWER SPEEDS AND SIDE ROADS DURING ALL THREE INSTANCES SO FAR. BUT DRIVING IN THE D.C METROPOLITAN AREA ALSO REQUIRES A OUT OF HIGH-SPEED HIGHWAY DRIVING AS WELL AND I AM EXTREMELY WORRIED THAT I MAY NOT BE SO FORTUNATE THE NEXT TIME! DT

PROBLEM RESURFACED AGAIN IN MARCH 2006.*KB THE ACCELERATOR CABLE WHICH WAS REPLACED FEB 2005 WAS ONLY UNDER WARRANTY FOR 1 YEAR/12000 MILES. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP ADVISED THE CONSUMER THAT SHE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF REPAIR. THE SEAT BELTS LOCKED UP WHEN IN USE. *NM UPDATED 09/11/06. *JB

FOR NO APPARENT REASON ENGINE STALLED WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND RESTART, BUT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUS IN HEAVIER TRAFFIC OR ON FREEWAY. DT
POWER STEERING LEAKED IN OCT 2001, PROBLEM CAUSED BY FAILED RACK AND PINION STEERING SYSTEM. DEALER REPLACED AFTER HAVING VEHICLE IN SHOP FOR A MONTH. IN NOV 2002, THE VEHICLE SUFFERED A TRANSMISSION FAILURE WHILE CROSSING A MAJOR INTERSECTION. BARELY MANAGED TO GET THROUGH THE INTERSECTION WITHOUT AN ACCIDENT. THE NEAREST FORD DEALER HAPPENED TO BE ACROSS THE STREET. TOOK INTO SERVICE DEPT AND THEY FOUND THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED AND WAS WELDED TOGETHER. THE ONLY SERVICE PERFORMED WAS RACK/PINION REPLACEMENT BY ORIGINAL DEALER IN OCT 2001. EXPERTS TELL US THAT TRANSMISSIONS ARE NOT WELDED. THEY ARE BOLTED. EITHER VEHICLE CAME FROM FACTORY WITH WELDED TRANSMISSION (POSS. OTHER VEHICLES WITH SAME PROBLEM) OR ORIGINAL DEALER DAMAGED TRANSMISSION WHEN INSTALLING NEW RACK/PINION SYSTEM AND WELDED THE DAMAGE WITHOUT REPORTING IT TO THE CONSUMER. NOT HAPPY ABOUT 2 MAJOR PROBLEMS IN JUST OVER A YEAR. DT
STARTED THE VEHICLE, THE RADIATOR LIGHT TURNED ON. IMMEDIATELY TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND REFILLED THE RESEVOIR. NOT LOW, BUT ADDED A LITTLE FLUID.
DRIVERS' SIDE MIRROR VIBRATES WHILE DRIVING RENDERING IT USELESS FOR SAFE LANE CHANGES. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN "FIXED" BY FORD DEALERS THREE TIMES WITH NO REMEDY, THE VIBRATION CONTINUES EVEN AFTER "REPAIRS."

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BRAKE FLUID WAS LEAKING ONTO THE BRAKE RESERVOIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED BUT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR REPAIR. THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 12V005000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE) THAT COULD HAVE BEEN RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.

I HAVE OWNED THE 2002 FORD ESCAPE APRX. 6 MONTHS. AND HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT STALLING WHILE DRIVING IT. ONCE WHILE DRIVING APRX. 35 MPH ON A CORNER GOING TO THE LEFT. I DIDN'T RELIZED IT HAD STALLED UNTILL I LOST MY STEERING, I WAS ABLE TO PULL IT OFF THE ROAD AND THAT WAS WHEN I RELIZED IT HAD STALLED ALL THAT WAS ON WAS THE ENGINE LIGHT. I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE DELERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. SO I DID FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK. AT THAT APPOINTMENT. THEY WERE UNABLE TO MATCH THE PROBLEM, SO THEY SENT ME ON MY WAY. THE NEXT WEEK MY MOM WAS DRIVING IT GOING APRX. 35 MPH. WITH SEVERAL CARS BEHIND HER WHEN IT STALLED SO SHE PUT IT INTO NEURTOL RESTARTED IT THAN PUT IT BACK INTO DRIVE ( THIS IS WHAT THE DELERSHIP SERVICE DEPT. TOLD US TO DO SO WE WOULDN'T LOOSE THE STEERING OR THE BRAKES), AND SHE CONTINUED HOME, AND TOLD ME WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I CALLED THE DELERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN. 3 DAYS LATER THEY CALLED AND SAID THEY CALLED THE MANUFACTURE TO SEE IF THEY MIGHT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, AND THEY SAID THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFOR AND TO REPLACE THE CHIP, IT WAS A DEFECT, SO THEY DID. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT TILL NOW 10-09-2002 APRX. 3000 MILES LATER, WHEN IT STALLED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING ON A CORNER TO THE LEFT APRX. 35 MPH. I CALLED THE DELERSHIP AGAIN AND THEY SCHEDULED AN APPT. FOR THE FOLLOWING MONDAY 10-14-2002 ON WEEK LATER. THE DELERSHIP ALSO OFFERED ME THE FORMS TO FILL OUT FOR THE LEMON LAW TO SEND IN. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS SUV, IT IS A DANGER TO MY FAMILY, MYSELF, AND ANYONE I SHARE THE ROAD WITH. THIS IS A BRAND NEW SUV AND SHOULD NOT HAVE PROBLEMS LIKE THIS. FORD SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. IT IS NOT SAFE!!! MR
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE WILL STALL WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, THE DEALER REPLACED A COMPONENT IN JULY BUT THE PROBLEM REOCCURED IN OCTOBER. *MR *NLM *DT
MY 2002 FORD ESCAPE WAS BOUGHT NEW IN MARCH OF 2002. THE PROBLEM WITH IT ACCELERATING AT LOW SPEEDS STARTED ABOUT 6-7 MONTHS LATER. RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES TO HAVE IT CHECKED BUT WAS TOLD EVERY TIME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. I'VE HAD ONE ACCIDENT AS A RESULT OF THIS PROBLEM. I STILL OWN THE SAME ESCAPE AND STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM WITH IT . I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE NO COMPLAINTS OF THIS NATURE WITH THESE MODELS BUT HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY. I ALSO AS HAVE MANY PEOPLE HAD THE PROBLEM WITH THE AIR-BAG LIGHT ON .AGAIN MANY TRIPS TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG ABOUT $300 LATER FOR LABOR COSTS. FINALLY ON ONE MORE ATTEMPT TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG I RETURNED TO THE DEALER AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THAT A SENSOR IN THE SEAT-BELT WAS THE PROBLEM AND IT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $300-$400 TO REPAIR IT AND THAT THE AIR BAGS MAY OR MAY NOT BE WORKING BECAUSE OF THIS SENSOR. I HAVE PERSONALLY LOST ALL FAITH IN FORD CANADA AND THEIR PRODUCTS AND SOME OF THE EMPLOYEES AT THE DEALERSHIPS I'VE DEALT WITH. I AM IN THE PROCESS I BUYING A NEW CAR BUT IT'S NOT A FORD. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A FORD

ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS MY 2002 FORD ESCAPE HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING, CREATING EXTREMELY UNSAFE SITUATIONS. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN PROCEEDING DOWNHILL AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, AND THEN STALLS AS FOOT IS LIFTED OFF GAS PEDAL. STALL CAUSES LOSS OF BRAKES, POWER STEERING, ETC. DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE-- ON FIRST VISIT THEY SUGGESTED POSSIBLE FUEL CONTAMINATION MIGHT HAVE CAUSED A STALL. ON SECOND VISIT (8/15/02), DEALER UNABLE TO RECREATE PROBLEM, NO DIAGNOSIS MADE, ALTHOUGH DEALER DID INSTALL SOFTWARE UPGRADE. CAR HAS FAILED TWICE SINCE THEN (8/16 AND NOW ON 9/30). HAVE NOTIFIED DEALER OF MOST RECENT INCIDENT AND BRINGING CAR IN FOR SERVICE. TO DATE THERE HAVE BEEN NO ACCIDENTS OR INJURIES, BUT HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY LUCKY EACH TIME. PROBLEM ONLY OCCURS WITHIN FIRST 5-10 MINUTES AFTER ENGINE START AFTER PROLONGED REST. MR

ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. NO POWER ASSIST FOR POWER STEERING AND BRAKE. I USED PARK BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. AFTER I SHIFTED TO PARK POSITION AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE, EVERYTHING WAS BACK TO NORMAL. THIS IS VERY DANGROUS IF OTHER VEHICLES FOLLOWS, ESPECIALLY ON HIGHWAY. MR

ON 9/27/02 I WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION WHERE I RAN A STOP SIGN AND "T-BONED" A PASSING CAR THAT WAS TRAVELING THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. MY 2002 ESCAPE WAS TOTALED - THE FRONT END COMPLETELY COLLAPSED. EVERY OFFICER, PARAMEDIC, AND FIREMAN WAS AMAZED THAT THE AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THEY ALL INSTRUCTED ME TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THIS MATTER. AS THIS IS MY SECOND ESCAPE (THE FIRST ONE SUCKED A VALVE WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF OWNERSHIP), I WILL NO LONGER TRUST FORD TO PROVIDE A SAFE MODE OF TRANSPORTATION FOR MYSELF OR MY FAMILY MEMBERS. MR
