WHEN APPLYING BRAKES AT ANY SPEED IN CURVES OR AT AN INCLINE, BRAKE PEDAL WILL BUCKLE AND GO TO THE FLOOR, RESULTING IN NO BRAKING ACTION. THIS HAPPENED 8 TIMES. ON 27 MAY AT TAKE OFF AFTER A COMPLETE STOP, CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKE, NO BRAKING ACTION, VEHICLE HIT ANOTHER. DAMAGE WAS $1272.*AK
THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION, AND THE SEAT BELTS FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE CONSUMER. *JB
EXCESSIVE BRAKE DUST ON FRONT WHEELS OF 2003 FORD EXPEDITION. FRONT BRAKES NEEDED REPLACEMENT AFTER ONLY 13,000 MILES. ROTORS ALSO NEEDED REPLACEMENT. BRAKE REPLACEMENT ON ALL PREVIOUS VEHICLES TOOK PLACE AFTER 25,000 MILES WERE ON THE VEHICLES. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE DID NOT BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKE PADS OR BRAKES AND WAS NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, I DID SEE A NOTICE TO FORD DEALERSHIPS THAT ADMITTED THE BRAKE DUST PROBLEM, AND STATED THAT FORD WAS LOOKING AT DIFFERENT BRAKE PADS FOR THE 2003 EXPEDITION. *JB
CONTINENTAL CONTITRAC TR - P265-70R-17 SIDEWALL CAME COMPLETELY APART AND ALMOST CAUSED A TRAGEDY. MY FAMILY IS NOT SAFE WITH THESE TIRES ON MY NEW EXPEDITION - FOUND OUT CONTINENTAL HAD A RECALL IN 2002 AND WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW OF ANOTHER PROBLEM - FORD WOULD NOT REPLACE MY TIRES - ONLY THE ONE THAT COULD HAVE KILLED MY FAMILY. THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE TREAD - THE TIRE JUST COMPLETELY SEPERATED IN 2 PIECES. I WOULD LIKE TO SEND A PICTURE IF POSSIBLE, AND WOULD GIVE YOU THE TIRES FOR TESTING.
WE JUST BOUGHT A NEW 2003 EXPEDITION EDDIE BAUER 4X4. THE SAME NIGHT WE DROVE IT HOME IT STARTED TO RAIN AND WE NOTICED A LEAK AT THE DRIVER'S GRAB HANDLE. WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE FRONT WINDSHIELD STATING IT WAS NOT SEALED CORRECTLY TO THE CAR'S BODY. THE NEXT NIGHT IT RAINED AGAIN AND THERE WAS A PUDDLE OF WATER IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING THE INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL METAL WAS NOT SEALED AT THE LEFT TOP CORNER ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THEY ARE KEEPING IT OVERNIGHT TO SEE IF IT'S STILL LEAKING AND WILL NOTIFY ME TOMORROW. *NLM
THE SEATS, MIRRORS & GAUGES ALL WILL READJUST WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. MY WIFE ALREADY HAD A NEAR MISS ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE FORD DEALER. ANDY MOHR FORD SAYS HE CAN DO NOTHING AND THE ENGINEERS ARE WORKING ON A FIX. I HAVE CALLED THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WROTE THEM 2 LETTERS. IT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 5 MONTHS NOW AND NO ONE WILL ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. THEY SAY IT IS A PROBLEM WITH ALL 2003 EXPEDITIONS SO I WOULD THINK IT WOULD BE A PRIORITY TO FIX. *JB

2002 FORD EXPEDITION. ENGINE SUDDENLY SPEEDS UP WHEN APPLYING BRAKES DURING SLOW SPEED STOP. CONSIDERABLE BRAKE PEDDLE PRESSURE REQUIRED TO STOP VEHICLE. *NLM
THE FRONT WHEELS ON EVERY NEW EXPEDITION I SEE ON THE ROAD (INCLUDING MINE) DISPLAY A FAR EXCESSIVE SOOTING FROM THE FRONT BRAKE PADS. THIS RAPIDLY TURNS THE WHEELS DARK AND DIRTY, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY INDICATE A FAR TOO EXCESSIVE WEAR RATE FOR THE FRONT BRAKE PADS, INDICATING AN ENGINEERING CHANGE OF PAD MATERIAL IS REQUIRED. *JB
FRONT ROTORS WORE OUT PREMATURELY WITH LESS THEN 25,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. FRONT ROTORS WERE REPLACED THREE TIMES BY THE DEALER. *AK
REAR QUARTER PANEL (DRIVE SIDE)GLASS WINDOW WAS BLOWN OUT. NO APPARENT VANDALISM WAS DETECTED. 90% OF GLASS WAS DISCOVERED OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE INDICATING THAT THE WINDOW "EXPLODED" OUTWARD FROM INSIDE THE VEHICLE.*JB
WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT LOUD GRINDING NOISE- HAS BEEN SERVICED 4 TIMES AND AFTER THE LAST TIME IT STOPPED, BUT HAS SINCE RETURNED. ALSO, EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF BRAKE DUST ON WHEELS, AND THEY ARE MAKING NOISES. ALSO AS IF THEY NEED TO BE CHANGED AND THERES ONLY 4000 MILES ON THE TRUCK. *AK
I AM A FIRE CAPTAIN WITH THE CITY OF VALLEJO. MY COMPANY TREATED A PATIENT THAT WAS CRUSHED BETWEEN THE ELECTRIC FOLDING 3RD ROW SEAT OF A 2003 FORD EXPEDITION EB. THE CHILD WAS 4 YEARS OLD AND SHOWED POSITIVE SIGNS OF NEAR SUFFOCATION. THE SEAT WAS CHECKED AFTER PATIENT TREATMENT AND IT WOULD NOT STOP FOLDING WHEN WE ATTEMPTED TO STOP IT USING OUR HAND TO PUSH AGAINST IT'S FORCE. THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE (LOWELL SABISAGE OF 176 COLOMA WAY, VALLEJO CALIFORNIA 94589) STATED THAT THE SEAT HAD BEEN IN FOR REPAIR IN THE PAST BECAUSE IT WOULD FOLD UP WITHOUT THE SWITCH BEING PUSHED. ACCORDING TO OTHERS ON SCENE, THE SEAT AGAIN FOLDED UP WITHOUT THE BUTTON BEING PUSHED. *AK MY CONCERN IS THAT OTHER CHILDREN ARE AT RISK OF SIMILAR INJURIES. LUCKY FOR THIS CHILD AN ADULT CAME OUT TO CHECK ON HER AND FOUND HER BEING CRUSHED BY THE SEAT. PLEASE FOLLOW UP WITH THIS INCIDENT. THE VEHICLE VIN # IS [XXX]. FOUR YEAR CHILD SHOWED POSITIVE SIGNS OF SUFFOCATION AFTER BEING CRUSHED BY THE FOLDING THIRD ROW SEAT IN THE FORD EXPEDITION. *PH THE SEAT HAD BEEN IN FOR REPAIRS BEFORE BECAUSE IT WOULD FOLD WITHOUT THE USE OF THE SWITCH. *SC (THIS COMPLAINT WAS SENT IN BY THE FIRE CAPTAIN ON BEHALF OF THE CUSTOMER LOWELL SABISAGE.) *JB
A RECURRENT AND UNSOLVABLE PROBLEM WITH THE POWER EXTERIOR MIRRORS ON A 2003 FORD EXPEDITION. THE PASSENGER MIRROR IS INCAPABLE OF RETURNING TO ITS PRE-SET POSITION. THIS OCCURS WHETHER OR NOT THE "REVERSE AID" FEATURE IS ON OR OFF AND ALSO OCCURS WHETHER OR NOT THE "MEMORY" FEATURE FOR DRIVER 1 OR DRIVER 2 IS ACTIVATED. IT OCCURS ROUGHLY ONE-HALF OF THE TIME THE VEHICLE IS UNLOCKED EVEN BY THE SAME DRIVER (DRIVER 1) IN SUCCESSION. DUE TO THE FORD INSTALLED ALARM FEATURE, THE UNLOCKING FOB (OR THE DOOR MOUNTED KEYPAD) MUST BE USED. EACH TRIGGERS THE MIRROR FAILURE. TWO DEALERS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, EVEN AFTER MULTIPLE VISITS, HAVING THE VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL DAYS IN SUCCESSION, AND HAVING THE AVAILABLE FORD TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION. FORD MOTOR COMPANY (ON LETTERHEAD CORRESPONDENCE) NOW DENIES THAT ANY PROBLEM EXIST WITH MY VEHICLE (AFTER DETAILED TELEPHONE AND WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE). TWO NEIGHBORING ACQUAINTENCES WITH THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL VEHICLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE WITHOUT RESOLUTION AS WELL. MULTIPLE POSTINGS ON THE NTSHA WEBSITE MAKE REFERENCE TO THIS SAME PROBLEM AND SPEAK OF FORD'S "PROMISE" TO RESOLVE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY DEFECT. EITHER A SOLUTION TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE PROVIDED BY FORD OR THE VEHICLES SHOUDL BE RECALLED AND A MIRROR SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN PROVEN TO FUNCTION PROPERLY SHOULD BE INSTALLED.*AK
THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP TWICE FOR MISFIRE IN THE ENGINE. THE MOTOR STARTED RUNNING ROUGH RIGHT AFTER A STARTUP ONE MORNING WITH A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE EXHAUST AND ABOUT A WEEK LATER ANOTHER ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF SMOKE ON STARTUP IN THE MORNING. THE CHAIN OF EVENTS ALSO CAUSED OTHER INTERMITTEN PROBLEMS WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE VEHICLE SUCH AS A SENSE OF SLACK BETWEEN THE ENGINE AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL WHEN UP SHIFTING AND DOWN SHIFTING. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS INTERMITTEN PROBLEMS STARTING , FOR EXAMPLE, YOU HAVE TO CRANK THE ENGINE THREE TO FOUR SECONDS LONGER THAN NORMAL AND AT TIMES I HAVE HAD TO STOP THE IGNITION AND TRY AGAIN. THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE THAT HAVE BEEN RESOLVED AND A CONTINUED PROBLEM WITH THE MIRRORS MOVING WHEN THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO, ALTHOUGH I HAVE NOT SEEN THEM MOVE WHILE DRIVING AS OF THUS FAR. PLEASE NOTE THE INCIDENT DATE SHOWN BELOW IS APPROXIMATE AND IS WHEN THE PROBLEMS STARTED. I HAVE A 2003 FORD EXPEDITION WHICH WON'T RETAIN THE CORRECT SETTING IN THE PASSENGER'S SIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR. I HAD THE DRIVER'S SIDE MIRROR FIXED ALREADY, BUT THE DEALER REFUSES TO FIX THE PASSENGER'S SIDE DUE TO INABILITY TO VERIFY THE COMPLAINT. IT SEEMS TO BE AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM, BUT OFTEN WHEN I GO TO CHANGE LANES THE MIRROR IS NOT SET TO THE CORRECT POSITION, PRESENTING A DEFINITE SAFETY HAZARD. I PURCHASED MY 2003 FORD EXPEDITION BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2002. IN LESS THAN A MONTH THE AUTOMATIC ADJUSTING SIDE VIEW MIRRORS ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER STARTED MALFUNCTIONING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR BUT TO NO AVAIL. I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD BE MARCH 2003 BEFORE A REPLACEMENT PART OR FIX COULD BE MADE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AROUND WITH THIS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS HAZARD, NOT KNOWING IF MY MIRRORS WILL TAKE IT UPON ITSELF TO START ADJUSTING WITHOUT WARNING BECAUSE OF A DEFECT THAT THE DEALERS REPAIR SHOP OR FORD CAN NOT EXPLAIN. I WAS PROMISED THAT THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE FIXED IN MARCH 2003. I WAS CALLED BY PALMETTO FORD HERE IN CHARLESTON SC. ON FEBRUARY 28, 2003 AND INFORMED THAT THERE WAS PARTS IN TO FIX MY MIRRORS. UPON DROPPING MY VEHICLE OFF FOR REPAIR I WAS CALLED ABOUT MID-DAY AND ADVISED THAT THE WHOLE DRIVERS SIDE MIRRORS NEEDED REPLACING AND THAT IT WOULD BE BEST TO LEAVE THE CAR OVER NIGHT SO THAT THEY COULD EXPEDITE THE PROCESS WHEN THE MIRROR CAME IN. AFTER PICKING MY VEHICLE UP AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE MADE I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE REPAIR FACILITY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM OF THE MIRRORS GOING HAY WIRE. I REALLY FEEL THAT THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AT A HIGHER LEVEL. AT THIS POINT I BELIEVE THAT I AM GETTING THE RUN AROUND. TOO MANY MONTHS HAVE GONE BY WITHOUT A SOLUTION TO THIS ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I AM REAL CONCERNED ABOUT THE OVERALL SAFETY OF MY FAMILY WHILE DRIVING A VEHICLE THAT COULD LEAVE YOU IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN YOU THINK YOUR SIDE VIEW MIRRORS ARE IN ONE POSITION WHILE DRIVING AND THEN WHEN YOU GO TO LOOK TO CHANGE LANES ABRUPTLY ETC. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A TENDENCY TO LUNGE FORWARD WHILE SITTING IDLE IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENED THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE PLACED IN NEUTRAL GEAR OR THE IT HAD TO BE TURNED OFF BECAUSE THE BRAKES DO NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CONNECTED TO THE THROTTLE BODY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 89187.
GRINDING NOISE IN THE REAR AXLE WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT AFTER VEHICLE HAS SET OVERNIGHT OR FOR A LONG ENOUGH PERIOD SO AXLE COMPONENTS COOL DOWN TO AMBIENT TEMPERATURE. I HAVE HAD VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE 4 TIMES AND IT SPENT ALMOST 3 WEEKS IN THE SHOP. PROBLEMSEEMED TO BE FIXED AFTER LAST VISIT, BUT NOISE HAS REAPPEARED AGAIN. SOUNDS WORSE. VEHICLE WILL NOW BE GOING IN FOR THE FIFTH TIME FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG, BUT I CANNOT GET FORD TO ADMIT ANYTHING.*AK

FRONT BRAKE PADS TURN THE WHEELS BLACK IN A MATTER OF COUPLE OF DAYS. *LA
SEVERE FRONT BRAKE DUST ON WHEELS AT 500 MILES.
THE VEHICLE HAD AN ALL-INCLUSIVE COMPUTER CONSOLE ON DASHBOARD WHICH CONTROLLED THE FUNCTIONS OF REAR/SIDE VIEW MIRRORS AND MEMORY SEATS, ETC. THE CONSOLE DID NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY, WHICH CAUSED THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS TO BE INCORRECTLY POSITIONED WHILE DRIVING. DEALER DIAGNOSED DEFECT WITH SYSTEM, BUT ADVISED THERE WAS NO REMEDY OR PARTS WHICH EXISTED TO CORRECT. *JB
WHILE TRAVELING AT 65 TO 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE DEVELOPED A VIBRATION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CAUSE IS BAD TIRES. SCC
WHILE TRAVELING AT 62-65 MPH ON DRY, SMOOTH PAVEMENT THE RIGHT REAR TIRE SUFFERED A SUDDEN SIDEWALL BLOWOUT. BOTH THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE WALLS WERE TOTALLY DESTROYED. I HAVE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHIC DOCUMENTATION IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. LUCKILY IT WAS A REAR TIRE AND NOT A FRONT TIRE AT THAT SPEED. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 8000 MILES ON IT AND HAD JUST BEEN SERVICED BY THE DEALERSHIP WITHIN THE LAST 3 WEEKS AND ALL TIRES WERE PROPERLY INFLATED. MY CONCERN AT THIS TIME IS THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THE OTHER THREE TIRES AND THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY WHILE TRAVELING ON THESE TIRES. IF THIS TIRE HAS A HISTORY OF SIMILAR INCIDENTS PLEASE ADD THIS ACCIDENT TO IT... IF NOT PLEASE START A NEW FILE AND TRACK POTENTIAL MANUFACTURER'S PROBLEMS. DT
WHILE TRAVELING ON SMOOTH DRY PAVEMENT, THE RIGHT REAR TIRE SUDDENLY EXPLODED. BOTH THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE SIDEWALLS WERE BLOWN OUT. THIS WAS A NEW ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TIRE WITH LESS THAN 8000 MILES ON IT. THE CAR HAD JUST BEEN SERVICED BY THE DEALERSHIP WITHIN THE LAST THREE WEEKS AND ALL TIRES WERE PROPERLY INFLATED. THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A SEVERE VIBRATION, WHEN THE GEAR WAS TRANSFERRED TO 4-WHEEL DRIVE, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. *AK *JB
2003 FORD EXPEDITION EDDIE BAUER EDITION. SIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS WITH BACKUP ASSIST WILL MALFUNCTION AT ANYTIME CAUSING YOU TO CONSTANTLY BE AWARE THAT THE MIRRORS ARE NEVER GOING TO BE RESET TO THE DRIVERS DESIRED SETTING. THIS IS A ROAD HAZARD THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. IF THE DRIVERS OF THESE PARTICULAR VEHICLES HAVE TO CHECK THERE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS TO CHANGE LANES ETC. THEY RUN THE RISK OF SIDE IMPACTING SOMEONE OR CAUSING AN ACCIDENT . *NLM
THERE IS AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF BRAKE DUST BUILD-UP ON THE FRONT AND BACK WHEELS. AFTER HAVING THE TRUCK WASHED, AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF BREAK DUST BEGAN TO BUILD-UP AFTER TRAVELING 1 MILE. *NLM I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE THAT THIS WAS THE #1 COMPLAINT MADE BY 2003 EXPEDITION OWNERS WHEN THEY BRING THEIR VEHICLES IN TO BE SERVICED. THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ALSO SAID THAT THERE WAS NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. I CALLED THE FORD COMPANY AND THEY TOLD ME THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM IS TO WASH THE WHEELS EVERY WEEK. THIS WILL NOT FIX THE BRAKE DUST PROBLEM, SO IT IS NOT A SOLUTION.
WE PURCHASED A 2003 FORD EDDIE BAUER OCTOBER 3RD 2002 AND WAS TOLD BY THE SALESMAN THAT WE WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE MOON ROOF AS FAR AS LEAKS OR WIND NOISE. NOT ONLY DOES THE MOON ROOF LEAK THE FRONT WINDSHIELD HAS HAD A RATTLE IN IT EVER SINCE WE GOT IT. WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES TO GET THE PROBLEMS FIXED AND EACH TIME IT COMES BACK THE MOON ROOF SEEMS TO LEAK EVEN WORSE. THE RATTLE IS STILL IN THE WINDSHIELD ALSO. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED WHEN WE PURCHACED THIS VEHICLE. THE PROBLEMS ARE STILL BEING ADDRESSED AND THE DEALERSHIP IS STILL TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEMS.

2003 EXPEDITION HAS BEEN VIBRATING SINCE NEW. PURCHASED IN SEPT 2002 IT HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES TO NO AVAIL. THEY CHANGED THE DIFFERENTIAL FLUIDS, THE TIRES , WORKED ON THE REAR CHANGED TIRE PRESSURES. LAST TIME FORD FACTORY REP CAME TO SAYVILLE FORD. SAID THERE IS A VIBRATION, BUT AN ACCEPTABLE ONE. TO WHO I DO NOT KNOW. THIS VEHICLE IS USED AS AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE. WHAT A LEMON. *JB
WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE DRIVER TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO DO SO. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. WHILE UNLOCKING THE DRIVER'S DOOR WITH THE AUTOMATIC SWITCH BOTH SIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS WOULD AUTOMATICALLY MOVE UP AND DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC REPLACED BOTH SIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR MOTORS. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB CONSUMER ADDS BOTH SIDE VIEW MIRRORS MOTORS REPLACED 2 TO 3 MORE TIMES. WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ADVANCE TRACK SYSTEM LIGHT ILLUMINATED, THEN ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS STARTED TO FLASH. HEARD A RATTLING NOISE, PULLED OVER, TURNED OFF ENGINE TO SEE WHAT PROBLEM WAS, AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER, AND THEY STATED IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR. *AK

SIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS WITH BACKUP ASSIST WILL MALFUNCTION AT ANYTIME CAUSING YOU TO CONSTANTLY BE AWARE THAT THE MIRRORS ARE NEVER GOING TO BE RESET TO THE DRIVERS DESIRED SETTING. THIS IS A ROAD HAZARD THAT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. IF THE DRIVERS OF THESE PARTICULAR VEHICLES HAVE TO CHECK THERE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS TO CHANGE LANES ETC. THEY RUN THE RISK OF SIDE IMPACTING SOMEONE OR CAUSING AN ACCIDENT .*AK
HUMMING NOISE FROM FRONT DIFFERENTIALS. SPRING REQUIRED TO BE ADDED TO FRONT DIFFERENTIAL. REAR DIFFERENTIAL ALSO HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO PARTS MISSING FROM FACTORY ACCORDING TO THE DEALER. ALL THIS HAPPEN WITHIN 2,000 MILES OF PURCHASE ON MY 2003 FORD EXPEDITION.

2003 FORD EXPEDITION WITH TIRE FAILURE. CONSUMER STATES THAT HE SAW A PIECE OF HIS TIRE BOUNCE OFF THE PAVEMENT BEHIND HIS VEHICLE. THE TREAD HAD SEPARATED FROM THE REST OF THE TIRE. PICTURES ATTACHED. *KB THE CONSUMER STATED THE TIRE WAS STILL INFLATED. AS THE CONSUMER CONTINUED TO DRIVE, THE REST OF THE TREAD CAME OFF AND BLEW OUT WHICH CAUSED DAMAGED TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE TIRE HAD A SLOW LEAK BECAUSE OF A NAIL AND WAS REPAIRED 1 YEAR AGO, AND THERE HAD BEEN NO PROBLEMS UNTIL THIS INCIDENT. ( CONTINENTAL CONTI TRAC TIRES). *JB
THERE WAS EXCESSIVE TREAD WEAR AND EXPOSED STEEL BELTS ON THE LEFT FRONT TIRE. THE SPARE TIRE SHOWED EXACTLY THE SAME SIGNS. THE REAR TIRE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BLEW OUT ALONG WITH SIDE WALL SEPARATION ABOUT 18 INCHES LONG. THERE WERE NO OBVIOUS OR UNUSUAL TREAD WEAR ON THIS TIRE, CONSUMER STATES THE SPARE TIRE ALSO EXHIBITED THE SIGNS. *JG
