THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL KEEPS CORRODING CAUSING THE TERMINAL TO MELT. THE TERMINAL MELTS AND VEHICLE DOESN'T CRANK. I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE TERMINAL SYSTEM TWICE WHICH IS VERY COSTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S BATTERY TERMINAL FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BATTERY TERMINAL POSITIVE SIDE MELTED DUE TO ACID OR FAILED WIRES. THE CONTACT HAD TO REPLACED THE BATTERY TERMINAL SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE TERMINAL FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY TERMINAL POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE CABLE BRACKET TWICE. THE REPAIRS DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000. *DT*JB
THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WILL NOT ALWAYS CLOSE AND SECURE. THE DOOR LATCH SOMETIMES STAYS IN THE OPEN OR CLOSED POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. UNSAFE AS YOU WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE WITH THE DOOR UNSECURED.ALSO THE SHIFTING LEVER WILL OCCASIONALLY STICK IN PARK AND WILL NOT COME OUT EVEN AFTER APPLYING THE BRAKE. UNSAFE IF YOU HAVE TO STOP AND PUT IN PARK ON SIDE OF ROAD OR HIGHWAY YOU CAN'T TAKE IT OUT OF PARK WHEN CLEAR TO DO SO. DEALER SAID THEY CAN NOT REPAIR BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE ISSUE. THE ONLY WAY TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN MOTION WAS TO DRIVE WITH DRIVERS DOOR NOT SECURED.
Minor side impact. All repairs were make and no issues noted
FORD RECALL ON EXPLORER MODEL REGARDING THE VEHICLE NOT RECOGNIZING THAT THE SHIFT GEAR IS IN THE PARKING SETTING,THEREFORE THE KEY IS UNABLE TO BE REMOVED...ALSO RENDERING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE CONSIDERING THAT SINCE PARKING ISN'T ENABLED THE VEHICLE MAY ROLL RESULTING IN INJURY OR DEATH.I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD TO THE RECORDS THAT THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I'VE EXPERIENCED THIS MALFUNCTION IN 3 DIFFERENT MODEL YEARS INCLUDING 2012 AND 2008. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO REPORT THAT THE AUTOMATIC RUNNING BOARDS HAVE BECOME DIS ENGAGED IN THE MOTOR AND ONLY WORK RANDOMLY WHICH IS ALSO DANGEROUS WHEN ENTERING VEHICLE.
PAINT BUBBLING ON THE REAR LIFT GATE. THIS ISSUE IS RELATED TO CONTAMINATION OF THE ALUMINUM BEFORE PAINTING. FORD IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, BUT IS IGNORING IT, CLAIMING IT IS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY AND OR THE WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE ON HOOD AND TAILGATE ON MULTIPLE FORD MODELS. FORD HAS ISSUED A TSB: 17-0062 ABOUT THIS ISSUE:. HEADACHES AND GENERAL I'LL FEELINGS OF SICKNESS WHILE DRIVING/RIDING IN VEHICLE. CARBON MONOXIDE PRESENT IN FRONT CABIN OF VEHICLE AT 1-14PPM UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. READINGS NOT TESTED IN 3RD ROW. NOT TESTED IN EXTREME PASSING OR WITH AIR CONDITIONER ON. I DO NOT FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS SAFE.
PAINT BUBBLING ON HOOD AND REAR HATCH KNOWN DEFECT BY FORD CAR IS LESS THAN 4 YEAR'S OLD
SEEMS TO BE THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE 2011 TO 2013 6R80 TRANSMISSIONS THAT A PREVIOUS RECALL DEALT WITH. WHILE DRIVING THE EXPIDITION DOWNSHIFTED BY ITSELF CAUSING TO GO OFF THE ROAD AND ALMOST BEING REAR ENDED. MY VEHICLE IS MADE AT THE SAME PLANT AND THE RECALL GOES TO VEHICLES MANUFACTURED TO 4/13 MINE WAS 8/13. WHICH MAKES IT A NEW MODEL YEAR 2014. THE PREVIOUS RECALL WAS 2011 TO 12. THE LATER ADDED 2013 MODELS. THEY NEED TO LOOK INTO ADDING 2014 OR LATER TO THIS LIST SINCE IT IS HAPPENING TO THIS MODEL AS WELL. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY EXPEDITION. ALSO THE SPEEDOMETER JUMPED UP AND DOWN WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON IT JUMP AND SURGES AT LOWER SPEEDS. BUT SHUTTING IT OFF SEEMS TO RESET IT FOR A SHORT WHILE BUT THE ISSUE ALWAYS COMES BACK.
ALL 4 OF OUR STRUTS HAVE A SLOW LEAK AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE NEVER ONCE OWNED A VEHICLE THAT ALL 4 STRUTS LEAKED AT THE SAME TIME.. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ONLY DRIVING IS HIGHWAY. JUST FOUND OUT TODAY
LOW TIRE SENSOR KEPT GOING OFF. KEPT TAKING VEHICLE TO NORTH CASCADE FORD AND LES SCHWAB TIRE CENTERS TO HAVE SENSORS RESET AND TIRES CHECKED. DIFFERENT TIRES AT DIFFERENT TIMES WERE LOW. STARTED AT APPROXIMATELY 41000 MILES. ON OCTOBER 7,2017 FRONT DRIVER TIRE WAS COMPLETELY FLAT. AIRED IT UP AND WENT TO LES SCHWAB. AFTER CHECKING ALL 4 TIRES AND NOT FINDING ANY PROBLEM WITH THE TIRES, WHICH WERE PURCHASED AT LES SCHWAB THE TIRE TECHNICIAN FOUND THAT THREE OF THE FOUR WHEELS THAT CAME ON THE VEHICLE WHEN PURCHASED (PURCHASED NEW FROM NORTH CASCADE FORD) WERE CRACKED AND ALLOWING AIR FROM THE TIRES TO LEAK OUT. CALLED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT NORTH CASCADE FORD AND THE ONLY RESPONSE WAS THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, SUGGESTED A CALL TO FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE WHICH RESULTED IN A CONVERSATION WITH A PERSON WHO DID NOT DPEAK ENGLISH VERY UNDERSTANDABLY SAYING THEY WOULD FOCUMENT THE PHONE CALL. LES SCHWAB TIRE CENTER DID DOCUMENT THE CRACKED WHEELS ON THE INVOICE OF THE NEW WHEELS THAT WERE PURCHASED FROM THEM.
2014 FORD EXPEDITION EL KING RANCH V8 5.4L 3V - 90,000 MILES VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE AS I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING LOT MIMICKING A STALL. SHAKING BECAME MORE INTENSE AS WE SLOWED SPEED INTO THE PARKING SPOT AND AGAIN BECAME MORE INTENSE UPON SHIFTING INTO PARK. CODE SCANNER BROUGHT UP A CYLINDER 8 MISFIRE. REPLACED ALL SPARK PLUGS(BECAUSE 90K IS ABOUT WHEN YOU SHOULD) AND CYLINDER 8 COIL, NO POSITIVE RESULTS. CODE SCANNER NOW THROWS OUT A RANDOM MISFIRE CODE, CYLINDER 3, AND CYLINDER 8 MISFIRE. BROUGHT TO A GARAGE AND THE DIAGNOSTIC THEY RAN SHOWED THE CAM PHASER HSA FAILED. THIS MUST BE A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM TO FORD AS THERE IS AN ABUNDANCE OF INFORMATION EASILY FOUND ONLINE AND A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ABOUT THE ISSUE FOR 5.4L ENGINES FOR 2008-2012.
THIS VEHICLE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT WITH A SEMI TRUCK ON A SURFACE STREET. BOTH VEHICLES WERE IN MOTION; THE SEMI TURNED INTO OUR VEHICLE. THE ENTIRE DRIVER SIDE FRONT QUARTER PANEL AND A PILLAR WERE DESTROYED, THE FRONT BUMPER SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE, AND THE B AND C PILLARS ON THE DRIVER SIDE ALONG WITH PARTS OF THE DOORS WERE IMPACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS, MY WIFE REQUIRED EMERGENCY CARE, AND THE EXPEDITION SUSTAINED OVER 25K IN DAMAGE BUT THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. NONE OF THE FIRST RESPONDERS COULD UNDERSTAND WHY BASED ON THEIR EXPERIENCE RESPONDING TO ACCIDENTS. I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT FORD DIRECTLY ABOUT THIS OVER TWO WEEKS AGO BUT HAVE GOTTEN ZERO RESPONSE TO DATE.
WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR WE NOTICED THAT THE CARPET IN THE DRIVER WHEEL WELL WAS CUT SHORT. AT THAT TIME IT DID NOT CAUSE A HAZARD BUT OVER TIME AND MANY VISITS TO THE DEALER IT HAS FOLDED OVER IT ITSELF AND IS BECOMING DANGEROUS. FORD HAS LOOKED AT IT SEVERAL TIMES AND ACKNOWLEDGED IT AS A PROBLEM BUT SAID THAT SINCE IT IS AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THEY WILL NOT FIX IT. THIS CAN POSE A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND ASKING THAT FORD MAKE THE REPAIR. ALSO THE PANEL ON THE SIDE OF THE CHAR IS FALLING OFF AND IS POSING A HAZARD TOO. THE DEALER SAID HE HAS SEEN THIS OFTEN AND SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM. FORD IS NOT WILLING TO FIX IT EITHER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT FLICKERED ON AND OFF REPEATEDLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
I WAS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AND REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE, VEERED TO THHE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND HAD TO RUN THROUGH AN IRON GATE TO AVOID INJURIES TO PEDESTRIANS AND ULTIMATELY CRASHED INTO A TREE. SEAT BELT WAS ATTACHED THE ENTIRE TIME, BUT NOT ONE AIR BAG MADE AN ATTEMPT TO DEPLOY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE AT A STOP, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SHOULDER INJURIES AND A CONCUSSION THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000.
OWN A 2014 FORD EXPEDITION. WHEN A PASSENGER IS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT, THE WARNING CHIME DOES NOT ACTIVATE WHEN THE PASSENGER'S SEAT BELT IS NOT LATCHED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND ROCHESTER FORD DEALER SERVICE STATED A PART WAS NOT PUT IT WAS OPTIONAL AND THEY DID NOT REPAIR IT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN BUT REPORTED AT 12,000 MILES.

THE DRIVERS AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY ALTHOUGH EACH OF THE REMAINING 7 AIRBAGS SUCCESSFULLY DEPLOYED. 4. THIS FAILURE TO DEPLOY RESULTED IN INJURIES. 5.
