TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLE FAILED TO RELEASE, AND OFTEN BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE PART FOR THE REPAIR WAS ON BACK ORDER FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 23,000.

TL* THE CONTACT RENTED A 2015 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY AND CRASHED THROUGH A TELEPHONE POLE AND A TREE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SMOKE ENTERED THE VEHICLE AFTER THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT FACILITY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS A SUDDEN LOSS OF SPEED AND THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS INFORMED THAT NUMBER FIVE ENGINE CYLINDER IGNITION COIL FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000.
I WAS SITTING IN A WAL-MART PARKING LOT WITHOUT THE CAR RUNNING. THE TEMPERATURE WAS APPROX 35-40 DEGREES WITH LIGHT RAIN/SNOW. WHILE SITTING THERE I HEARD A REALLY LOUD POP. AFTER LOOKING OUTSIDE AND AROUND THE VEHICLE TO SEE WHAT WAS OVERHEAD (NOTHING), I NOTICED THAT THE MOONROOF HAD SHATTER AND MADE THE BACK PART OF THE GLASS BUBBLE UPWARD TOWARD THE SKY WITH A SMALL HOLE AND THE ENTIRE GLASS SHATTERED. OF COURSE I HAD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME (APPROX 22 MILES) AND THEN TO THE DEALER (ANOTHER 25 MILES). AT THIS POINT MOST OF THE GLASS FELL INTO THE MOONROOF SLIDE COVER AND THUS DID NOT SHOW THE BUBBLE IN THE GLASS. FORD WILL NOT COVER STATING IT WAS BROKE BY FORCE. WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR LESS THAN TWO MONTHS (PURCHASED ON 8/22/15 - DAY BROKE 10/18/15) AND THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY 3,700 MILES ON IT. ALL PICTURES TAKEN WERE DONE BY THE DEALER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR LIFT GATE FAILED TO OPEN PROPERLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS WAS A RECURRING FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE LATCH AND MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE LATCH ONLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,200. UPDATED 09/21/15*LJ
2015 FORD EXPEDITION EL LIMITED NOTED TO HAVE WHISTLING/WHINING NOISE WITH ACCELERATION. EVALUATED BY A FORD DEALER. FOUND TO HAVE DEFECTIVE SEAL ON REAR AXLE WITH LOSS OF LUBRICATING FLUID AND DAMAGE TO THE DIFFERENTIAL. THIS WAS NEAR MISS; NO ACCIDENT/INJURY OCCURRED. GIVEN THAT THIS PART FAILED ON A BRAND NEW VEHICLE (LESS THAN ONE MONTH OLD) AND DEALER IS UNABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE FOR 3-6 WEEKS DUE TO UNAVAILABILITY OF REPLACEMENT PARTS, I AM CONCERNED THAT FORD KNOWS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS PART BUT HAS CHOSEN NOT TO SHARE THAT INFORMATION.
I WAS NOT ABLE TO OPEN THE REAR LIFT GATE, THE WINDOW DID WORK FINE. THIS WOULD HAPPEN EVERY NOW AND THEN NON PREDICTABLE.. THE DEALER REPLACED THE LATCH AND WAS AMAZED THE ELECTRIC KEY FOB DID NOT WORK OF THE MANUAL LIFT GATE. THERE IS NO EMERGENCY OVERRIDE!!!! IF SOME WAS IN THE 3RD ROAD SEAT, AND SOMETHING HAPPENED THEY COULD NOT GET OUT. AUGUST 1, 2015 I WENT TO THE VET WITH MY DOG IN HER KENNEL IN THE BACK. OUTSIDE AIR TEMP WAS 93 DEGREES. I COULD NOT OPEN THE BACK HATCH TO GET MY DOG OUT. I HAD TO LOWER ALL THE MIDDLE SEATS, OPEN HER KENNEL, AND "CONVINCE " HER TO COME OUT AND WALK AROUND . I HAD TO LIFT HER UP AND PUT HER ON THE GROUND. BEING HANDICAPPED THIS WAS NOT FUN.. OF COURSE AFTER THE VETS VISIT, THE DARN THING WORKED IT IS DANGERSOUS!!!

01 JUNE 2015 DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 10 FROM BEAUMONT TEXAS I ENTERED A HEAVY RAIN STORM, TRAFFIC SLOWED DOWN TO ABOUT 50 M.P.H. IN A 70 M.P.H. SPEED ZONE. I PASSED A TRACTOR TRAILER, WHEN THE MIST FROM THE TRUCK AND THE RAIN HIT MY VEHICLE, MY ENGINE LOST POWER. I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE GAS, AFTER A FEW HUNDRED YARDS THE POWER CAME BACK BUT MY ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. THE PROBLEM HAPPENED 4 OR 5 TIMES THRU LOUISIANA AND INTO FLORIDA.I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER PALM BAY FORD WITH 3,000 MILE SINCE NEW THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO I WAS TOLD THERE WASN'T A PROBLEM. 17 SEPT. 2015 WITH 12826 MILES I RETURNED TO PALM BAY FORD AGAIN, AFTER RETURNING FROM WEST VIRGINA IN ANOTHER HEAVY RAIN STORM THE SAME THING HAPPENED, THE ENGINE LOST POWER I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING THEY COULDN'T FIND A PROBLEM SO NO PROBLEM EXIST. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
FRONT SEAT BACK COOLING SYSTEM (TED) IS MALFUNCTIONING. WHEN SEAT COOLING IS SELECTED, AFTER 30 MINUETS, THE BACK OF THE FRONT SEATS REACH EXTREME TEMPERATURES, RESULTING IN BURNING EVERYONE THAT TOUCHES THE BACK OF THE FRONT SEATS. I'VE MEASURE THE TEMPERATURES, AT THE TOP OF THE MAP POCKET, AT OVER 115 DEGREES, WHEN AMBIENT TEMPERATURES WERE AT 75 DEGREES. WHEN AMBIENT TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE 90 DEGREES, THE FRONT SEAT BACK TEMPERATURE CAN REACH UP TO 150 DEGREES OR MORE! THE DRIVER'S HEADREST (AND FRONT PASSENGER HEADREST) IS SET AT SUCH A FORWARD ANGLE THAT MY HEAD IS PUSHED FORWARD, CAUSING PAIN IN MY NECK. AFTER TALKING WITH AN ORTHOPEDIC ABOUT THE PROBABLY LONGTERM ISSUES WITH PRESSURE ON MY HEAD CAUSED BY THE HEADREST, I WAS ASSURED OF CREATING A CHRONIC PHYSICAL NECK PROBLEM. THE HEADREST ANGLE NEEDS TO BE ADJUSTED/TILTED BACK SLIGHTLY TO PROVIDE JUST ENOUGH SPACE FOR NORMAL HEAD MOVEMENT WHILE DRIVING WITHOUT CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THE HEADREST. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD EXPEDITION. WHILE DRIVING UNKNOWN SPEEDS, THERE WERE ABNORMAL FUMES INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOVELAND FORD (999 E. EISENHOWER BLVD, LOVELAND, CO 80537) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE UNDERCOATING AND MUFFLER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
