DT: DRIVING WHEN HE FELT GAS PEDAL WENT DOWN, IT BEGAN TO ACCELERATE ALL ON ITS OWN IN BUSY TRAFFIC. HE WAS PRESSING BRAKE AT THE SAME TIME IN EFFORT TO STOP. COULD SMELL SOMETHING AS IF BURNING. JAMMED IGNITION INTO PARK AND PULLED KEYS OUT. VEHICLE STOPPED. CALLED TRIPLE A AND THE COPS, VEHICLE WAS TOWED. NO ACCIDENT. NO REPAIRS YET. TOW DRUCK DRIVER SUPSECTS SOMETHING WITH GAS PEDAL HAS BROKEN OFF.*AK
CONSUMER NOTICED WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN WHENEVER THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL WAS USED. CONSUMER ANTICIPATES A FIRE IF THIS ISSUE CONTINUED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED AT THIS TIME. *JB *BF *NM
THE CRANKSHAFT SHEARED OFF DIRECTLY BEHIND THE HARMONIC BALANCER, THE TRUCK HAS ONLY 70,000 MILES, WILL REQUIRE MAJOR ENGINE WORK TO FIX. IT BROKE UNDER NORMAL ACCELERATION CONDITIONS.*AK
I BOUGHT A 1999 FORD EXPLORER IN 02 FOR 17,292.44 IN 05 WE HAD TO PUT A NEW MOTOR IN FOR 5,502.47 NOW HERE WE ARE IN 06 AND THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT TO REPLACE WILL COST US ANOTHER 2,900.00 SO HERE WE HAVE A FORD THAT IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD WITH 22,794.91 IN IT AND STILL NOT RUNNING I CAN NOT FIND THE RIGHT PERSON TO TALK TO CAUSE THE DEALERSHIP WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. *JB
BLEND DOOR ON THE HEAT AND AC BROKEN, CANNOT WARM UP INTERIOR OF VEHICLE TO DEFROST WINDOWS, IT JUST BLOWS COLD AIR(MAYBE OUTSIDE AIR). HAS NOT BEEN FIXED YET.
AFTER HAVING PARKED MY CAR I COULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR FOR MY CHILD TO GET OUT--NEITHER FROM THE INSIDE NOR THE OUTSIDE AND PULL MECHANISM DISAPPEARED IN BETWEEN CAR DOOR. *JB
WHEN STOPPED WITH FOOT ON BRAKE TRUCK SUDDENLY SURGES FORWARD.
WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 80 MPH ACCELERATION PEDAL WAS LET GO BUT SPEED DID NOT DECREASE. CONSUMER THEN APPLIED BRAKES BUT HAD NO EFFECT. HE TRIED TO APPLY THE BRAKES AGAIN WHICH SLOWED VEHICLE DOWN. ACCIDENTS WERE AVOIDED WHILE PULLING TO SHOULDER OF ROAD. *AK
WHILE DRIVING DOWN RT.10 IN WHIPPANY,NJ MY '99 FORD EXPLORER CAUGHT ON FIRE. ELIEVE IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL FIRE - FIRE WAS BEHIND THE DASH BOARD. I SAW FLAMES COMING FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE ON THE FLOOR AND THE CAR QUICKLY FILLED UP WITH SMOKE. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD - CALLED 911 - POLICE AND FIRE TRUCK ASSISTED ME.*AK
I HAVE A 1999 FORD EXPLORER XLT WITH A V-6 SOHC 4 LITER ENGINE. THE CAR HAS NOT PROPERLY ACCELERATED SINCE PURCHASE IN 2000, IT HAS CONSTANTLY STALLED WHILE DRIVING AND THE DEALER COULD NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT ON. I FOUND OUT FEBRUARY 16, 2005 THAT I HAVE A BROKEN INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET AND IT COST OVER $1,000 TO FIX. I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET RELATED TO THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND THERE ARE EIGHT FORD MODELS MANUFACTURED FROM 1996 THROUGH 2001 WITH THIS PROBLEM. FORD REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS DEFECT TO CONSUMERS BUT ACCORDING TO THE ARTICLE INTHE ATTACHED LINK, THEY HAVE EXTENDED THEIR WARRANTY ON THIS PART TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TAXI COMPANIES THAT HAVE PURCHASED THE AFFECTED CARS. VEHICLE HAD BEEN TO THE REPAIR SHOP THREE TIMES FOR THE PADS AND ROTORS BEING DEFECTIVE. ALSO, SEEMED TO BE AN ISSUE WITH OTHER CONSUMERS. *AK THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE BRAKES SQUEAK EVEN AFTER THE REPAIR. *TC
THIS REPORT CONCERNS A 1999 FORD EXPLORER SPORT 2DR 4X4. VEHICLE HAS 144,000 PLUS MILES. SPECIFICALLY THIS PERTAINS TO THE FRONT DRIVER?S SEAT (NON-POWER MODEL). OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS I HAVE REPLACED THE FRONT DRIVERS SEAT (BOTTOM FRAME) THREE TIMES. EACH TIME THE SEAT FRAME HAS BROKEN IN THE SAME MANNER. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE FRAME METAL RIPS/TEARS AT THE LOCATION OF THE MOUNTING BOLT FOR THE RECLINE LEVER. THIS TEARING CAUSES THE SEAT BACK TO RECLINE WITHOUT WARNING ON THE LEFT SIDE CAUSING THE DRIVER TO FALL BACKWARDS AWAY FROM THE STEERING WHEEL. FORD HAS STATED THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY INFO ON THIS. THIS IS SOMEWHAT STRANGE AS THEY APPARENTLY DIRECTED DEALERSHIPS APPROXIMATELY 2 YRS AGO TO REPLACE THIS FRAME ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. THE PROBLEM IS VERY APPARENT AND A VERY EASY FIX. THE TEARING OCCURS JUST TO THE FRONT OF THE (FRONT) BOLT HOLE ABOUT 1/8 INCH FROM THE HOLE. THERE IS A LARGE SPOT WELDED PLATE INSIDE THE FRAME WHERE THE BOLTS FOR THE RECLINE LEVER INSERT INTO THE FRAME. IF THIS PLATE WAS EXTENDED ABOUT 4 INCHES OR MORE PAST THE FRAME HOLES THIS PROBLEM WOULD NOT OCCUR. I HAVE DETAILED PHOTOS OF THIS FRAME AND PROBLEM AREA AVAILABLE FOR USE TO YOUR OFFICE AS WELL AS THE FRAME ITSELF.*AK
THE TRUCK WAS PARKED INSIDE OF THE GARAGE AND IT CAUGHT ON FIRE DUE TO CRUISE CONTROL. NO INJURES REPORTED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. *AK ....FIRE DID EXTENSIV EDAMAGE TO GARAGE AND HOUSE. *AK
MY 1999 FORD EXPLORER WAS PARKED, LOCKED, WITH NO KEY IN THE IGNITION. IN MY GARAGE ON JANUARY 30, 2005. WHEN WE SMELLED SMOKE, LOOKED IN THE GARAGE, AND FOUND EXTREME SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD OF THE CAR... I PHONED 911, AND THE OPERATOR ADVISED US TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE AND DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE. WE WENT OUTSIDE AND WAITED FOR THE FIRE DEPT. 5 FIRE TRUCKS CAME AND PUT OUT THE FIRE..... BUT THE CAR WAS BURNED COMPLETELY, AND ALSO THE GARAGE AND ALL OF IT'S CONTENTS ARE A TOTAL LOSS.... MY HOUSE IS ALSO DAMAGED, DUE TO SOOT, AND SMOKE.... I AM 65 YEARS OLD, LIVING ON SOCIAL SECURITY, I AM A 44 YEAR TYPE 1 DIABETIC... THIS HAS CAUSED ME IMMENSE PROBLEMS.... VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE FOR AT LEAST 2 HOURS BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED, AND THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THIS WAS CONFIRMED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. *AK
CONSUMER'S 1999 FORD EXPLORER (VIN [XXX]) CAUGHT ON FIRE DUE TO A VEHICLE DEFECT. REQUEST THAT THE SCOPE OF THE FORD RECALL FOR THE CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH BE EXPANDED. *NM THE CONSUMER BELIEVED THE FIRE WAS DUE TO A DEFECTIVE SPEED CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH. IN MY 99 FORD EXPLORER 4X4, THE FRONT DIFFERENTIAL FAILED COSTING $2500 IN DAMAGES. ALTHOUGH THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND THE 4X4 SYSTEM WAS NOT OPERATING. WE HAD NO IDEA , THE DEALER CAUGHT IT DURING A SERVICE CHECK. *JB
THE FUEL TANK WAS LOOSE AND WAS CAUSING THE FUEL SENDING UNIT TO FAIL. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED. THE PROBLEM WAS REPAIRED. *AK....THE FUEL TANK WA SNOT LOOSE. THE BAFFLE PLATE INSIDE THE FUEL TANK BECAME UNATTACHED, SLIDING BACK AND FORTH, WHICH IN TURN ALSO RUINED THE GAS TANK FUEL SENDING UNIT. AFTER INQUIRING OF FOR DEALERSHIP, THEY ADMITTED THAT THIS COULD BE A DANGEROUS SITUATION, ESPECIALLY IF THE SLIDING BAFFLE PLATE SEVERED THE ELECTRICAL WIRES TO THE FUEL TANK GAUGE SENDING UNIT. CONSUMER FELT THAT THIS WAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND HE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR A NEW TANK/FUEL PUMP, AND SENDING UNIT. *AK
WHILE DRIVING FRONT HUB CAME OFF THE VEHICLE, SIDE UNKNOWN. THIS CAUSED THE CONSUMER TO LOSE STEERING CONTROL. CONSUMER MANAGED TO PULL OVER, AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
DRIVER'S SEAT WAS RECLINING BACKWARD WHILE DRIVING AND WAS SHIFTING TOWARDS THE DRIVER'S DOOR. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED AT THIS TIME.*AK
TWO WEEKS AGO I WENT TO GET OUT OF MY SUV AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK AFTER PULLING ON THE HANDLE AND PUSHING LOCK/UNLOCK ABOUT 20 TIMES. THIS HAPPENS DAILY. *JB

BRAKE ROTORS WARPED AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT 2 MONTHS AFTER BRAKE SERVICE WHICH INCLUDED MACHINING ROTORS IN (4-24-04). FOLLOW UP SERVICE (8-16-04) FOR PROBLEM FOUND WARPED ROTORS ON LEFT SIDE, IN WHICH FORD DEALER SERVICE CHARGED FOR REPLACEMENT. (10-15-04) RIGHT SIDE ROTOR NOW EXHIBITING SAME DEFECT. *AK
PASSENGER SIDE SEAT RECENTLY FLUNG FORWARD AS A RESULT OF A BROKEN BOLT. THE DEALER REFUSED TO REPLACE BOLT/LATCH INDICATING IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. *BF THE DEALER REPLACED THE DRIVER'S SIDE BOLT UNDER RECALL 03V281000 BUT NOT THE PASSENGER SIDE BOLT. *NM
DEALERSHIP INFORMED THE CONSUMER OF THE WORN OUT LOWER FRONT BALL JOINT ON THE DRIVER/PASSENGER SIDES. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, BUT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
I HAVE A 1999 FORD EXPLORER AND THE REVERSE WENT OUT IN IT. THE REST OF THE OTHER GEARS WORK. IT WILL COST 1500.00 TO FIX THRU A TRANSMISSION DEALER. I CONTACTED A RECENTLY RETIRED FORD MECHANIC WHO WORKS OUT OF HIS GARAGE NOW. HE TOLD ME THIS REVERSE IS A PART IN THE TRANSMISSION THAT CAN BE REPLACED WITHOUT A TOTAL REBUILD. HE SAID LAST MONTH WHEN HE LEFT THE DEALER, THE PART WAS ON BACK ORDER FROM FORD FOR 3 WEEKS DUE THE EXTENT OF IT BEING A SERIOUS PROBLEM IN THE 99-00 FORD EXPLORERS. I CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY WONT FIX IT BECAUSE IT IS NOT ON A RECALL LIST RIGHT NOW. CAN YOU PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS AND LET ME KNOW HOW I GO ABOUT GETTING THIS FIXED THROUGH FORD? MULT-IFUNCTION SWITCH MALFUNCTION. WHEN I USE THE BLINKER IT WILL PAUSE MOMENTARILY AND THEN IT WILL SMOKE. THIS IS A PROBLEM FORD KNOWS ABOUT AND HAS RECALLED ON 3 MANUFACTURED LINES OF 99 EXPLORERS BUT NOT MINE. SO THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT. *JB
I WAS TRAVELING BEHIND A CONCRETE TRUCK WHEN HE SLAMMED ON BRAKES. I HIT THE TRUCK AND THE FRONT END OF MY EXPLORER WAS SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGED. ACCORDING TO THE POLICE OFFICER AND SEVERAL BODY SHOP MECHANICS, THE AIRBAG SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE BODY SHOP AND THE DAMAGE APPEARS TO BE IRREPARABLE. THE AIRBAG FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THEREFORE I WAS THROWN INTO THE STEERING WHEEL. THE IMPACT WAS SEVERE BECAUSE THE CONCRETE TRUCK WAS SO LARGE THAT IT DID NOT GIVE INTO THE IMPACT AT ALL. *NM
WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING. THE STEERING WHEEL TIGHTENED, AND CONSUMER LOST CONTROL TO THE VEHICLE, AND IT CRASHED INTO A CEMENT WALL, ROLLING OVER SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE STOPPING. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. DRIVER SUSTAINED THIRD DEGREE ROAD RASH BURN ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THEIR BODY WHICH STARTED FROM THEIR SHOULDER TO THE THIGH AREA. *AK
AIR BAG LAMP WOULD LIGHT INTERMITENTLY. (9/10/04 TOOK TO DEALER. LITE IS NOW OUT.) DEALER TRACED TO A WIRING HARNESS THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. AT PRESENT THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS 67,617 MILES. DEALER STATED THAT THIS MAYBE CORRISION OF CONTACTS. SOUNDS LIKE A DESIGN PROBLEM. 9/12/2004 LITE IS BACK ON STEADY. RESEARCH HAS SHOWN THAT FORD HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH THE MERCURY MYSTIC. ([NHTSA RECALL NO. 99V243/FORD RECALL NO. 99S23]. COULD THIS BE THE SAME WIRING HARNESS THAT WAS INSTALLED IN SOME EARLY PRODUCTION EXPLORERS, BUT ESCAPE THIS RECALL AND NOW THE CONSUMERS ARE STUCK FOOTING THE BILL? GOING BACK TO DEALER TODAY (9/13/2004) FOR REPAIRS. ESTIMATED REPAIR COSTS $300.00.*AK
WHILE DRIVING IN REVERSE AND APPLYING THE BRAKES TO STOP VEHICLE SUDDENLY DRIVER'S SEAT BACK RECLINER BROKE. AS RESULT, THE CONSUMER LOST CONTROL. *AK *SC
THE REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER DOES NOT CLEAR THE ENTIRE WINDOW, THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL DID NOT WAIT UNTIL THE TURN WAS MADE BEFORE GOING OFF. THE CONSUMER BELIEVES SOMETHING MAY HAVE COME LOOSE WHICH CAUSED A GAS LEAK WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE WIPER AND TURN SIGNAL UNDER WARRANTY. *JB *NM
DRIVER SEAT FELL INTO THE BACK SEAT. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE SEAT. VEHICLE WAS PICKED UP AND THE SEAT FELL AGAIN. DEALER STATED THAT THE SEAT WAS WORN OUT. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE DRIVER HEARD A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT. THE DRIVER STEPPED ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE DRIVER THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *LA
VEHICLE FAILS TO START ON OCCASION. THE ENGINE WILL TURN OVER, BUT WILL NOT CATCH. AFTER WAITING FOR SEVERAL HOURS OR A DAY, THE VEHICLE WILL ONCE AGAIN START. SOMETIMES, AFTER LETTING THE ENGINE TURN OVER MANY, MANY TIME, THE ENGINE WILL CATCH. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN MOSTLY WHEN THE WEATHER IS HOT. FIRST INCIDENT WAS ON JULY 14, 2004 ONLY A FEW WEEKS AFTER WE BOUGHT THE EXPLORER.*AK
WHEN USING TURNING SIGNALS STEERING COLUMN BEGAN TO SMOKE. NO FIRE REPORTED. *AK
THE CAM SHAFT SYNCHRONIZER LOCKED UP, CAUSING THE TEETH TO BREAK OFF OF IT, THEREFORE NOT LETTING THE OIL PUMP WORK TO PUMP THE OIL TO THE ENGINE, WHICH CAUSED THE BEARINGS TO BE SCORED. *AK
THE FACTORY PRESSURIZED CYLINDERS THAT HOLD THE HOOD OPEN HAVE FAILED. I HAVE NARROWLY AVERTED INJURY WHEN THE HOOD CAME FALLING DOWN. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND A POSSIBLE DESIGN DEFECT. I PLAN TO REPLACE THEM, BUT I AM CONCERNED THAT THE MANUFACTURER'S REPLACEMENT COULD BE SIMILARLY UNSAFE.*AK
ROLL OVER ACCIDENT INVOLVING 1992 FORD EXPLORER. *MR THE CONSUMERS DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING ALONG WITH HER GRANDSON AND LOST CONSCIOUSNESS WHILE DRIVING UNEXPECTEDLY, HIT A TREE AND THE MEDIAN, FLIPPED OVER SEVERAL TIMES, LANDED ON THE ROOF AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *SC *JB
POSSIBLE AIR BAG FAILURE OR PREMATURE DEPLOYMENT.*MR WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED THE AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED FLASHING ON THE DASH. AFTER APPROXIMATELY TWO MINUTES THE FLASHING CEASED AND THE AIR BAG LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONSUMER HASN'T TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER YET. *NM

I PURCHASED MY 1999 FORD EXPLORER IN MAY OF 2004 AND WITHIN A MONTH, I BEGAN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH MY TRANSMISSION. MORE SPECIFICALLY, THE VEHICLE WOULD LOOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION COULD BE HEARD SHIFTING AND ALSO SHIFTING MOVEMENT WAS FELT WHILE DRIVING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO RIO VALLEY IN ESPANOLA, NEW MEXICO WHERE I PAID CASH ($8700.00) AND WAS TOLD THAT I DID NOT PURCHASE THE WARRANTY AND MY VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND IT WOULD COST ME $3200.00 TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. I COMPLAINED AND WAS TOLD THAT MY GASKET WAS SEALED WITH A SEALANT THAT WENT IN TO MY GASKETS AND DAMAGED MY SOLENOID. I HAS JUST TAKEN IT FOR A TRANSMISSION OIL CHANGE AND THOUGHT WELL THAT COULD BE, HOWEVER, AFTER TALKING TO THE OWNER OF HINDI'S OIL STOP, I FELT CERTAIN THAT THIS WAS NOT THE CAUSE. RIO VALLEY FORD DID CLEAN OUT THE TRANSMISSION A COUPLE OF TIMES AND CHARGED ME $340.00 AND I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS BASICALLY GOING TO HAVE A BAND-AID EFFECT AND I WOULD ULTIMATELY NEED TO GET MY TRANSMISSION FIXED. IT WAS GETTING ME AROUND FOR AWHILE BUT LATELY THE SAME SHIFTING NOISES AND FEELINGS I HAD HEARD AND FELT ARE RECURRING. MY OVERDRIVE LIGHT ALSO GOES OF AND ON CONTINUOUSLY SOMETIMES WHILE I AM DRIVING THE VEHICLE. *JB
THE THROTTLE BRACKET/PEDAL ASSEMBLY BROKE LOOSE FROM THE FIREWALL CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL OF VEHILE. THE SPOT WELDS THAT ATTACHED THE ASSEMBLY FATIGUED, ALLOWING THE FAILURE. *AK
THE FACTORY HOOD SHOCKS ARE TOO SMALL AND CANNOT HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THE HOOD. THIS RESULTED IN THE HOOD SLAMMING SHUT WITHOUT WARNING. *AK THE HOOD WOULD STAY UP FOR FIVE MINUTES. *SC *JB

BOUGHT VEHICLE FROM AMERICAN FORD IN HACKENSACK NJ CAR ALWAYS HAD A HUMMING SOUND IN THE FRONT THOUGHT ONLY TO BE TIRES TOOK CAR BACK TO FIX THREE TIMES WHILE I STILL HAD ORGINAL WARRANTY AND NOT ONCE DID ANYONE SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE HUMMING. ON THE EXTENDED WARRANTY THEY SAY THIS PART IS NOT COVERED AND WAITED UNTIL NOW TO SAY, OH BY THE WAY YOU HAVE A BAD HUB AND IT WILL COST YOU 500.00 TO GET IT FIXED. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT THIS PART WAS DEFECTIVE BEFORE I BOUGHT THE CAR AND THEY OUGHT TO BE RESPONSIBLE IN FIXING IT. I ORIGINALLY TOOK THE CAR BACK THE 4TH TIME BECAUSE WHEN I CAME TO A STOP THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE AGAIN WHEN PRESSING DOWN THE ACCELERATOR. *MR
