THE OWNER STATES THE TRUCK VEERS SIDE TO SIDE NOT KEEPING A STRAIGHT DIRECTION. TRUCK HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP (8) TIMES FOR PROBLEMS WITH THE FRONT END OR STEERING. THE PARTS WERE REPLACED FROM THE STEERING TO A COMPLETE RACK AND PINION WITH DEFECT NOT CORRECTED. AN ENGINEER FROM FORD HAS ALSO INSPECTED THE TRUCK AND HAS DETERMINED THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP IS INSISTING THAT THE OWNER COME PICK THE TRUCK UP IN THE SAME CONDITION. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. MR
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY. CONTROL MODULE REPLACED THREE TIMES. HOWEVER PROBLEM STILL EXIST. VEHICLE IN SERVICE 5 OR 6 TIMES. *TT *NLM

THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED. FORD RECOMMENDED A REPLACEMENT WITH A REBUILT TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. SCC *JB

AIR BAG SERVICED 3X, BUT AIR BAG LIGHT CONTINUED TO ILLUMINATE. DEALER REPAIRED A LOOSE WIRE CONNECTION, DELETED A CODE IN HISTORY AND REPAIRED THE PASSENGER SIDE WIRING HARNESS. *TT
DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE. CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO CLOSE DOOR 4-5 TIMES TO LOCK DOOR. *AK
FUEL SYSTEM HAS A LEAK THAT RESULTS IN FUEL SPILLS, ALLOWING FUMES TO ENTER PASSENGER'S COMPARTMENT. DEALERSHIP CANNOT FIX PROBLEM.*AK
THE REAR AXLE LEAKED. WHICH WAS CAUSED BY THE RUBBER SEAL EATING INTO THE METAL OF THE AXLE PER MECHANIC. *AK THE REAR AXLE FAILED BETWEEN 17K MILES AND 30K MILES AND HAD TO BE REPLACED 3 TIMES. *SCC *JB
DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BACK AND SEAT WERE NOT ATTACHED. DRIVER HAD TO CONNECT THE SEAT TO THE BACK UPON ENTRY. DEALER SAID THAT BOLT ATTACHED TO THE SEAT BACK FRAME FRACTURED. THIS COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF DRIVER LOST STEERING CONTROL OR TOOK FOOT OF PEDAL WHILE DRIVING. *AK
STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. DEALER ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM. DEALER DID NOT INFORM THE CONSUMER OF THE REPAIRS THAT WERE MADE. *AK
DRIVER SIDE SEAT BOTTOM CRACKED AND THE BACK BROKE WITHOUT VEHICLE BEING IMPACTED OR EXCESSIVE FORCE BEING APPLIED. *AK

WHILE HAVING FRONT BRAKE PADS REPLACED MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE ROTORS RUSTED AND CRACKED. ALSO, THE REAR ROTORS ARE STARTING TO RUST . THE FRONT ROTORS WERE REPLACED. THE CAUSE OF THE RUST WAS UNDETERMINED.*AK
THE REAR TAILGATE HAS A WINDOW AND THERE IS A PART OF THE DOOR THAT GOES UP WITH THE WINDOW. CONSUMER NOTICED A CRACK FROM THE GLASS DOWN, AND ANOTHER CRACK STARTING TO FORM. CONSUMER IS AFRAID THE WHOLE WINDOW MAY FALL OUT WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. *AK
VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAGS. THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON. OWNER SAYS THAT "IF VEHICLE IS IN AN ACCIDENT, AIR BAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY." VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY WANT TO CHARGE OWNER $378.00 DOLLARS TO REPAIR BECAUSE VEHICLE IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *PH
VARIOUS PROBLEMS WITH 2002 FORD EXPLORER.*MR THE LEFT SIGNAL WIRE INSULATION RUBBED THROUGH THE BOAT TRAILER. WHEN IT SHORTED OUT THE FUSE BLEW AFTER IT TOTALLY MELTED THE INSULATION OFF THE WIRES THROUGH THE TONGUE OF THE TRAILER ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE LEFT SIGNAL LIGHT. CONSUME NOTED THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN, HAD THIS BEEN A CAMPER A FIRE WOULD'VE RESULTED. *PH

CONSUMER'S HEAD STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL, REQUIRING SEVERAL STITCHES. POLICE ARRIVED, BUT NO ONE WAS CITED. *AK
