THE THROTTLE CONTROL BEGAN TO STICK DURING COLD WEATHER, CAUSING SUDDEN ACCELERATION AND LOSS OF CONTROL. THE DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK

CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A 40 MPH FRONTAL COLLISION IN WHICH THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER AND PASSENGER INJURED. *ML
WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH THE FRONT TORSION BAR BROKE IN HALF, CAUSING THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE TO DROP. THE BAR TRAVELLED APPROXIMATELY 30 YARDS BEFORE STOPPING. THE SECOND BAR BROKE WHILE VEHICLE WAS SITTING IN DEALERS GARAGE WHILE WAITING OVER TWO WEEKS FOR PARTS. *AK
14 TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR, THE TRUCK HAS JUST DIED OUT WITHOUT WARNING OR INDICATION OF ANYTHING BEING WRONG. MOST OF THE TIME IT TAKES 15-30 MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING. TWICE THIS HAS HAPPENED ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALER IS NOT ABLE TO DETECT THE PROBLEM. *AK

FORD SPARE TIRE DESIGN PLACES RUBBER SIDEWALL DIRECTLY IN CONTACT WITH THE METAL UNDERCARRIAGE, FRICTION BETWEEN METAL/RUBBER CAUSES ABRASIONS ON SIDEWALL,(8 AREAS OF SEVERE ABRASIONS).
WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PUT INTO REVERSE IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED BACKWARDS,CAUSING A COLLISION. CAUSE UNKNOWN, CONSUMER HAD TO PUT VEHICLE IN PARK AND CUT THE VEHICLE OFF INORDER TO REGAIN CONTROL. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
THE REAR SEATBELTS AND LATCHES DO NOT ANCHOR THROUGH THE "SLIT" WHERE THE SEATBACK AND THE SEAT CUSHION MEET. THE BELTS (AND LATCHES) COME UP THROUGH HOLES IN THE SEAT CUSHION ITSELF. THESE HOLES ARE LOCATED FOREWARD OF THE LINE WHERE THE SEATBACK AND SEAT CUSHION COME TOGETHER. AS A RESULT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO SNUG THE CHILD SEAT BASE AGAINST THE BACK OF THE CAR SEAT. EVEN WITH THE BELT VERY TIGHTLY PULLED THE CHILD SEAT MOVES SEVERAL INCHES FOREWARD AT THE BASE AND ROTATES SIDEWAYS. THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL THE CAR SEATS I HAVE TRIED TO FIT IN THE VEHICLE SPECIFY THAT THE BELTS MUST COME THROUGH THE SLIT WHERE THE SEAT CUSHION AND BACK MEET. IS A MODIFICATION AVAILABLE TO REMIDIATE THIS PROBLEM AND MAKE THE INSTALLATION SAFE!! THANK YOU. *AK

VEHICLE WAS ASSEMBLED WITH WRONG MOTOR MOUNTS FOR STANDARD TRANSMISSION NOT AUTOMATIC. *AK
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES ON DRY PAVEMENT BACK BRAKES GRAB, BUT THE FRONT BRAKES DO NOT, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. AT 22,000 MILES THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED. AT 28,000 MILES THE PROBLEM HAS RETURNED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ON A WET SURFACE AND APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE FEELS AS IF IT HAS LOST POWER IN THE BRAKES. THEN THE BRAKES LOCK UP AND THE VEHICLE SKIDS. DEALER CAN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *AK
TRUCK WAS ASSEMBLED WITH THE WRONG MOTOR MOUNTS CAUSING SEVERE VIBRATION WHICH CAUSED EXCESSIVE WEAR TO OTHER TRUCK COMPONENTS. NLM
VEHICLE LOSES POWER AND CHANGES GEARS SPORATICALLY, DEALER REPLACED TORQUE CONVERTER AND TORQUE CLUTCH SOLINOID BUT THIS DID NOT FIX PROBLEM. HAVE HEARD OTHER F150 OWNERS COMPLAIN ABOUT SAME PROBLEM.
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS VEHICLE WILL BEGIN TO SWAY, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. *AK

CENTER CONSOLE LOCATED ON THE 60/40 SPLIT BENCH SEAT HAS A CUP HOLDER / STORAGE COMPARTMENT. HOWEVER, CONSOLE WILL LOCK IN THE UP POSITION, BUT WILL NOT LOCK IN THE DOWN POSITION CAUSING DISCOMFORT TO DRIVER POSSIBLE SAFETY HAZARD. *YC
WHILE DRIVING AT 25 TO 30 MPH THE FRONT TORSION BAR BROKE, CAUSING A LOST OF STEERING. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
THE BUSHINGS ON THE SPINDLE ARE TOO BIG WHICH CAUSES THE BRAKES TO LOCK UP/GRIND AND OVERHEAT. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
BRAKING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED DUE TO A DEFECTIVE BRAKE ROTOR WHICH CAUSE EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. ALSO HAD A RECALL FOR THE THROTTLE AND THE JAMES HODGE FORD (1800-675-5447) CLAIMED THEY DID THE RECALL REPAIRS, AND GAVE DRIVER AN INVOICE. BANOTHER FORD DEALER STATED THE PREVIOUS DEALE R DID NOT FIX THE PART THAT WAS ON RECALL WHICH MAY HAVE CAUSED A CRASH. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
REAR LEAF SPRING SNAPPED UNDER NORMAL USE, FRAME CAME DOWN ON THE AXLE DUE TO FAILURE. MJS
