CONSUMER HAD A 2000, FORD, F150 VEHICLE AND FROM DAY ONE A HOLLOW KNOCKING NOISE WAS HEARD AT IDLE, MOST NOTICEABLE WHEN IN GEAR AT IDLE, OR LOW RPM. SOUNDED LIKE A DIESEL ENGINE. VEHICLE HAD BEEN SEVERAL TIMES AT DIFFERENT FORD DEALERS, AND THEY INDICATED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG, THE SERVICE MANAGER STATED HE DID HEAR THE NOISE, BUT FORD DID NOT KNOW WHAT IT WAS. THEREFORE, THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. *AK
I OWN A 2000 FORD F150 THAT I BOUGHT NEW. OCCASIONALLY, (ONCE/MONTH) THE TRUCK WILL "PURGE" FORWARD BY ITSELF. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE TRUCK IS IN DRIVE, WHILE SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. *AK
PURCHASED MY 2000 F-150 FROM GORNO FORD IN TRENTON, MI WITH 30,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS AND LESS THAN 15, 000 MILES THE FOLLOWING MALFUNCTIONS HAVE OCCURRED: FRONT T-ROD BROKE (REPLACED), FRONT U-JOINTS HAD TO BE REPLACED, PARKING BRAKE FROZE UP DISABLING ENTIRE SYSTEM, ALL BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS VEHICLE IS NOT EVEN AT 50,000 MILES YET.*AK
OUR 2000 FORD F-150 HAD NOT HAD ANY PREVIOUS PROBLEMS. ONE MORNING IT WAS DRIVEN FOR ABOUT 40 MINUTES, THEN PARKED IN A LOT. WHILE IN THE LOT, IT CAUGHT FIRE (WITH NOT EVEN A KEY IN THE IGNITION). WE THINK IT HAD MAYBE BEEN PARKED AN HOUR BEFORE IT CAUGHT FIRE, BUT NOBODY KNOWS FOR SURE BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE SPOTTED IT BURNING. FIRE INSPECTORS DETERMINED THAT THE FIRE STARTED IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, AND THAT THERE WAS NO FOUL PLAY. THE FIRE APPEARED TO START TOWARDS THE FRONT, AND ON THE BATTERY SIDE. BY THE TIME SOMEONE NOTICED IT AND CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, MOST OF THE ENGINE AND HOOD AREA HAD PRETTY MUCH BEEN TORCHED. IT WAS PUT OUT BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND WE CONSIDERED IT A TOTAL LOSS. WE CONTACTED THE FORD DEALER WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED, AND THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY. BOTH REPLIED THAT THEY WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE AND UNWILLING TO HELP IN ANY WAY. 8JB
ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS LOCK BY THEMSELVES WITH OR WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. IF LOCKED, CANNOT BE UNLOCKED BY PULLING UP ON THE UNLOCK STEM. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 10MPH THE RIGHT TIE ROD POPPED OFF, CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL. *AK
DETAILS: THE VINYL COVERING ON THE DASHBOARD IS PEELING AWAY FROM THE UNDERLYING STRUCTURE. IT HAS, OVER A PERIOD OF ABOUT 5 MONTHS, PEELED BACK FAR ENOUGH THAT IT OBSTRUCTS THE VIEW OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE WINDSHIELD DEFROST VENT TRIM NO LONGER FITS INTO PLACE. THE DEFROSTER NO LONGER WORKS PROPERLY, AS THE VINYL NOW OBSTRUCTS THE AIR FLOW. THE VINYL IS ALSO IN SUCH A POSITION AS TO POTENTIALLY IMPEDE THE FUNCTION OF THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE DASH, FORD WILL NOT COVER THE FULL COST OF THE REPLACEMENT ($1200). THE DASH ON A 4 YEAR CAR SHOULD NOT WARP SO BADLY IT LOOKS LIKE A PRINGLES CHIP. THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW WITH POTENTIAL SAFETY CONCERNS, AND SHOULD BE SUBJECT TO A RECALL. *JB
WHILE DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION FAILED. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO FASTER THAN 40 MPH. THE GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED DOWN BUT THE VEHICLE HAD NO POWER. THE TRUCK STOPPED IN THE ROAD. THE REAR WHEELS HAD NO POWER. *AK *NM
ALL ORIGINAL TIRES WERE REPLACED DUE TO BUBBLES IN THE SIDEWALL. TIRES WERE REPLACED AT CONSUMER'S EXPENSE. GOODYEAR, EAGLE, P275/R4520, THE NEW REPLACED TIRES HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. ALSO, ALTERNATOR PROBLEM. *AK
SPARK PLUG ON MY FORD SVT F150 LIGHTNING POPPED OUT OF THE CYLINDER HEAD WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO WORK TODAY. DOING 65 MPH AND HAD TO SWERVE OVER INTO THEIR TRAFFIC TO GET TO THE SHOULDER SAFELY. WARRANTY JUST EXPIRED IN JUNE BUT STILL HAVE ONLY 21,000 MILES ON MY TRUCK. THIS IS NOT RIGHT BECAUSE I'M LOOKING AT A BILL OF SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS TO GET THIS FIXED. *JB
DRIVING UP TO INTERSECTION, APPLIED BREAKS NEXT THING AWARE OF WAS THE CAB WAS SMOKEY AND AIRBAG HAD DEPLOYED AND VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AGAINST A TREE IN THE DITCH. NO KNOWLEDGE OF TIRE FAILURE, POTHOLE, OR ANYTHING LEADING TO A DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG. CONCERN WITH UNNECESSARY DEPLOYMENT OF AIRBAG VERSES STEERING/BREAKING/TIRE PROBLEM. THE AIR BAG KNOCKED ME UNCONSCIOUS AND I WAS UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING TO AVOID THE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE THAT OCCURRED TO THE TRUCK. *NLM
THE CONSUMER WENT TO THE VEHICLE IN MORNING AND FOUND SMOKE AND FIRE DAMAGE AT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL WELL. THE ALLEGED FIRE OCCURRED DUE TO A DEFECTIVE CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH. *NM
VEHICLE SUDDENLY LURCHED FORWARD AT A RAPIDLY INCREASING RATE. *LA THE CONSUMER THEN SHUT OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL, PUMPED THE BRAKES AND THE PLACED HIS FEET ON THE BRAKES, ONLY TO DISCOVER THE SPEEDOMETER SOARING TO 95 MPH. THE CONSUMER PLACED THE GEAR INTO NEUTRAL AND THE N THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THE THROTTLE CABLE WAS FRAYED, HOWEVER TWO WEEKS LATER THE INCIDENT HAPPENED AGAIN, ONLY THIS TIME IT WAS DETERMINED THAT SNOW WAS IN THE CARBURETOR. THE VEHICLE SURGED AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME. *JB
BRAKES ON MY 2000 F150 PICKUP GRAB SEVERELY. *LA
DRIVING TO WORK DOING 60 MPH SLOWING DOWN TO GET ON A OFF RAMP AND I HEARD A BIG BANG. I LOOK UNDER THE HOOD AND MY, PASSENGER SIDE SECOND FROM THE FRONT, PLUG, COIL, AND BOOT WERE EJECTED FROM THERE HOLE. *LA
WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH THE OUTER TIE ROD SNAPPED OFF THE CONTROL ARM, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LOSE STEERING CONTROL. OWNER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER, WHO WAS AWARE OF THIS DEFECT AND SUGGESTED THAT THE OWNER HAVE THE SUSPENSION CHECKED OFTEN. *AK A YEAR LATER THE INNER TIE ROD SNAPPED OFF THE CONTROL ARM AT 50000 MILES. *BF *NM
MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR ON MY 2000 F150 IS CRACKING JUST TO THE RIGHT OF THE WINDOW. *LA
WHILE CRUISING AT 65 MPH A SPARK PLUG BLEW OUT OF THE CYLINDER INTO THE FUEL RAIL. LUCKILY NO FIRE WAS STARTED. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN THE 5.4L ENGINE. AS EVEN FORD HAS CHANGED THE DESIGN OF NEWER 5.4L ENGINES, BUT HAS DONE NOTHING FOR EARLIER OWNERS. THE VEHICLE HAS 40,000 MILES AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY IN 11/02. HOWEVER, FORD NOW SAYS THE WARRANTY WAS PUT ON BY MISTAKE AND WAS CANCELLED 1/03 - NOT NOTIFYING ME, THE OWNER OF THE TRUCK, ABOUT IT'S CANCELLATION. I HAVE OWNED FORDS FOR THE LAST 18 YEARS, BUT THIS WILL BE MY LAST. *LA
THE SPARE TIRE HOUSING CABLE BROKE LOOSE AND THE SPARE TIRE FELL OFF. THIS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON A DIRT ROAD AT A VERY LOW SPEED. AS A RESULT, THE REAR OF THE TRUCK LIFTED OFF THE ROAD. THE CAUSE OF THE CABLE BREAKING IS YET TO BE DETERMINED. THE CABLE HAD A CLEAN BREAK AND HAD NO RUST. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *NLM
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED AND WHEN MAKING A TURN CONSUMER HEARD A CLANKING NOISE. CONSUMER REPLACED THE STEERING SHAFT, BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, WHO THEN REPLACED THE IDLER ARM, WHICH CORRECTED THE PROBLEM.*AK VEHICLE ONLY HAS 25,000 MILES. *LA
I HAD A 2000 MODEL F-150 TRUCK THAT BURNED IN NOV. 2003. THE FIRE STARTED UNDER THE HOOD. *JB

FIRE STARTED IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT AFTER HAVING BEEN PARKED FOR A FEW HOURS. THE CRUISE CONTROL HAD STOPPED WORKING 2-4 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE FIRE
I HAVE A WELL MAINTAINED 2000 F-150 5.4L WITH 69,800 MILES THAT SPUN A BEARING LAST WEEK. AFTER PULLING THE MOTOR AND REMOVING THE OIL PAN, IT IS QUITE OBVIOUS THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. THE 'BROKEN RODS' THAT ARE USED IN THIS MOTOR ARE OF VERY POOR QUALITY. I CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEIR RESPONSE WAS, "I AM SORRY ABOUT YOUR LUCK, BUT YOUR VEHICLE IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY". PLEASE ADVISE. *LA
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A CARPORT AND ABOUT ONE PM THAT NIGHT CONSUMER HEARD SOMETHING THAT SOUNDED LIKE THUNDER. WHEN THE CONSUMER LOOKED OUTSIDE VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE ALONG WITH THE CARPORT. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO EXTINGUISH THE FLAMES CONSUMER SLIPPED AN SUFFERED A BACK SPRAIN. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED, AND THE CARPORT HAD TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ON I-35 SOUTH OF FT WORTH, THE LEFT REAR TIRE OF MY FORD F-250 BLEW WITHOUT WARNING, DISINTEGRATING AND CAUSING MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE LR FENDER AND FENDER LINER. TIRES WERE FIRESTONE STEELTEX ATS WITH APPROXIMATELY 55,000 MILES. I HAVE FRIEND WHO HAD A SIMILAR EVENT WITH HIS FORD EXPEDITION. THESE ARE NOT GOOD TIRES! *LA
I HAVE A FIRESTONE RECALLED TIRE THAT THEY WON'T CORRECT. I GAVE THE BLOWN OUT RECALLED TIRE TO BALL TIRE ON 10/30/03 AND THEY HAVE REFUSED TO HONOR THE RECALL.
RIGHT SIDE HEAD GASKET LEAKING OIL. REPLACED BY FORD AT 24,000 MILES (JAN 2002). TRUCK NOW HAS 49,000 AND IS OUT OF WARRANTY. RIGHT SIDE HEAD GASKET LEAKING OIL AGAIN. COMMON PROBLEM WITH 5.4L FORD DEALERS ACKNOWLEDGE A PROBLEM AND SAY THEY HAVE COMPLETED NUMEROUS REPEAT REPAIRS AT THE CONSUMERS EXPENSE DUE TO FORD'S UNWILLINGNESS TO RECALL. *LA
CONSUMER HAD BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH VEHICLE POPPING OUT OF GEAR. THIS TIME VEHICLE POPPED OUT OF GEAR WHEN IT WAS IN PARK, PINNING CONSUMER AGAINST THE FENCE AND CUTTING HIS LEFT PINKIE FINGER OFF. HE STATED THAT NO ONE KNEW WHY IT KEPT POPPING OUT OF GEAR.*AK CONSUMER WAS UNABLE TO FULLY WORK UNTIL NOV. 2003 DUE TO A PIN HOLDING HIS FINGER IN PLACE. *PH *NLM

HIT BUMPS IN ROAD AND THE LIGHTS GO OFF AND THE TRUCK ENGINES QUITS AND THE GAUGES GO CRAZY. *JB
I HAVE A 2000 F150 AND I TOO HAVE THE FAMOUS CRACK ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR. I TALKED TO MY SELLING DEALER, THEY JUST WANTED TO PUT A NEW DOOR ON MY TRUCK AT FULL COST TO ME. I THOUGHT THIS WAS REAL BAD AS THIS TRUCK HAS VERY LOW MILES. I TALKED TO FORD CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND THEY DENIED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH DOOR CRACKS EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED THE TSB LETTER TO THE FORD CUSTOMER SUPPORT REP. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE MANUFACTOR'S OR EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED. FURTHERMORE, I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CHARGES.
DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 , FORD F150. THE RECALL NOTICE ISSUED SPECIFICALLY REFERRED CRUISE CONTROL DEACTIVATION SWITCH WHICH COULD CAUSE AN UNDER HOOD FIRE, AND HE HAD THIS REPAIRED. HOWEVER, FORD STATED THAT THIS PART WAS NOT COVERED IN THE RECALL. CRUISE CONTROL IN THIS VEHICLE NEVER WORKED, AND THE PART THAT CONTROLLED THE SPEED CONTROL WAS OUT THAT WAS WHY CRUISE CONTROL DID NOT WORK. *AK
I HAVE A 2000 F150 AND AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE SPARE TIRE. I HAD A FLAT TIRE AND HAD TO CHANGE IT OUT AND PUT ON THE SPARE. THE SPARE HAD INDENTATIONS ON THE SIDEWALLS THAT WERE CAUSED FROM THE SPARE TIRE MECHANISM ( THE WAY THE SPARE TIRE IS HELD ON). I WROTE A LETTER TO FORD AND SENT A PICTURE OF THE TIRE. I QUESTIONED THE INTEGRITY OF THE TIRE IF I HAD TO DRIVE ON IT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. FORD CONTACTED ME AND TOLD ME TO CONTACT THE TIRE MANUFACTURER (GENERAL TIRE) BECAUSE IT IS A TIRE DEFECT. I AGAIN EXPLAINED THAT THE TIRE HAD INDENTATIONS ON THE SIDEWALLS CAUSED FROM SOMETHING IN HOW THE SPARE IS HELD ON UNDER THE TRUCK. I ASKED HOW THIS COULD BE CAUSED FROM A DEFECTIVE TIRE? THE FORD REPRESENTATIVE DIDN'T CARE AND GAVE ME THE NUMBER TO GENERAL TIRE. *LA
UNDER HOOD FIRE AFTER HAVING BEEN PARKE WITH THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION FOR 1.5 HOURS. THE FIRE WAS IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND BURNED A HOLE IN THE HOOD ON THE DRIVERS SIDE NEAR THE FIRE WALL

I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH ANYTHING ELECTRICAL, EVER, WITH MY 2000 F150 LARIATE. I DROVE TO TOWN, CAME HOME, PARKED MY TRUCK IN THE DRIVEWAY, 4 HOURS LATER I HEARD A LOUD BOOM AND WENT TO THE DOOR TO SEE A HUGE FIRE COMING FROM THE HOOD OF MY PICKUP TRUCK. THE FIRE MARSHAL SAID IT STARTED UNDER THE DASH. MY TRUCK WAS TOTALED. *JB
WHILE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE WITHOUT WARNING. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT STATED THERE WAS SOME TYPE OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *JB THE DEPUTY STATED THAT THE ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS DESTROYED AS WELL WAS THE FRONT PART OF THE CAB. *TC
2000 FORD F-150 4.6L V-8. BLOWN SPARK PLUG. FORD DEALER CLAIMS THAT FORD WILL NOT APPROVE A A REPAIR AND EITHER THE HEAD ($3,000) OR THE MOTOR ($5000) NEED TO BE REPLACED. THERE IS NO OFFICIAL TSB (TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN) ON THIS PROBLEM, BUT UNOFFICIALLY, IT SEEMS THAT FORD IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM SINCE THE DEALER PUT A "SPECIAL NOTE" ON THE QUOTE FROM FORD REGARDING THE UNAPPROVED REPAIR WORK ABOVE. FROM VARIOUS INTERNET SEARCHES, OTHERS HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH FORD 4.6, 5.4 OR V-10 MOTORS WITH SPARK PLUGS BLOWING OUT OF ALUMINUM HEADS.
I HAVE A 2000 FORD 150 EXT.CAB TRUCK A FREIND OF MINE BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THE DOORS ARE CRACKING. HE HAS A 1998 EXT CAB F-150 THAT DID THE SAME THING. HE GOT HIS FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. I CALLED FORD MOTOR CO. THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF A PROBLEM TO TAKE IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER WHO TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY WILL DO TO REPAIR THIS. THEY WOULD NOT EVEN COME OUT AND LOOK AT IT. THEY DID TELL ME THERE IS A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT THEY DON?T HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS. I WENT TO SEVERAL LOCAL DEALERS AND CHECKED 1997 TO 2000 FORD TRUCKS AND FOUND 8 OUT OF 8 HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. I CALLED FORD. AGAIN THEY GAVE ME THE SAME STORY. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN CHECKING OTHER TRUCKS IN PARKING LOTS AND THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT I HAVE GOT TO TALK TO WERE NOT AWARE THEIR DOORS WERE CRACKING. I REALLY THINK FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THESE DOORS AFTER PAYING 25,000.00 FOR AN AUTOMOBILE AND HAVING SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN TO IT. THEY KNOW THERE?S A FIX FOR IT BUT WON?T PAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM
WHEN TRYING TO LOWER THE RADIO USING THE VOLUME KNOB, THE VOLUME ACTUALLY WENT HIGHER UNTIL IT COULDN'T GET ANY LOUDER. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO ANSWER MY CELL PHONE, AND COULDN'T HEAR THE PERSON DUE TO THE VOLUME OF THE RADIO. IT SIMPLY WOULDN'T LOWER. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN WORTH FIXING. *PH

FORD WILL NOT APPROVE OF A REPAIR, SO EITHER THE HEAD OR THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.*AK FROM READING VARIOUS FORD FORUMS AND MESSAGE BOARDS, THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT FORD SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ON THE 4.6L AND 5.4L ENGINES.
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVER SIDE TIE ROD BROKE FROM CORROSION, CAUSING A COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. ALSO, VEHICLE VIBRATED UNCONTROLLABLY. *AK

WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH THE RIGHT FRONT TIE ROD SNAPPED. THE CONSUMER PULLED ONTO THE SHOULDER AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE FILLING THE GAS TANK, THE NOZZLE FLEW. THE CONSUMER ASSUMED THE HOSE NOZZLE WAS FAULTY WHICH DID NOT ALLOW HIM TO PUMP GAS. THE DEALER STATED THE FUEL FILLER VALVE STICKING. *AK *JB
I HAD $1375 WORTH OF MAINTENANCE DONE ON MY 2000 FORD F-150 AT MAK HAIK FORD ON AUG.14, 2003, SUCH AS TRANSMISSION & POWER STEERING FLUSH, REPLACING FUEL, AIR & OIL FILTERS, NEW BRAKES & FIXING ABS SENSOR, ETC. WHEN I GOT HOME STRAIGHT FROM THE MAK HAIK, THE ALARM WAS ACTING UP. LATER, I DISCOVERED THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS BROKEN. TWO DAYS LATER, WHILE I WAS IN BWW ON WESTHEIMER, MY TRUCK COMBUSTED INTO FLAMES (ABOUT 30-40 FEET HIGH). THE TRUCK IS A WRITE-OFF. MAK HAIK BLEW UP MY TRUCK. I WANT MY $1375 BACK AS WELL AS APPROX. $32,500 FOR THE TRUCK.*AK
I HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE PROBLEM FIXED. THE PAINT IN THE (RAIN GUTTERS?) IN THE ROOF OF THE TRUCK HAS CRACKS FROM FRONT TO BACK. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK IN MAY AND THE DEALER STATES THEY WERE NOT IN THERE WHEN I BOUGHT IT. THE DEALER ALSO STATES THAT THE FORD COMPANY WILL NOT FIX IT. THEY STATED THAT THE IT IS IN FACT A FACTORY DEFECT BUT SINCE I AM PAST MY 3 YEAR 30,000 MILE WARRANTY IT IS MY PROBLEM NOW..
