WHILE DRIVING AND MAKING A LEFT TURN STEERING WHEEL BECOMES DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER.. DEALER CANNOT IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK THE PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR WITH EVERY TURN, IT ONLY HAPPENS AT BOTH HIGH AND LOW SPEEDS, THE DEALER TRIED TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT CANNOT ASSURE THE CONSUMER THAT THE PROBLEM WILL NOT REOCCUR. FRONT GRILL IS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT BY 1 TO 11/2 CENTIMETERS AND DOES NOT ALIGN WITH HOOD, FENDERS, AND LIGHTS.*AK
REAR SEATS HAVE NO PASSENGER HEAD RESTRAINT AND I HAVE CONCERNS THAT IN AN ACCIDENT PASSENGERS MIGHT BE INJURED. FORD HAS RECOGNIZED THIS DESIGN FLAW IN THE NEWER VEHICLES OF THE SAME YEAR MODEL BUT WILL NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM IN EXISTING VEHICLES. *AK
SIDE WINDOW LOCK STICKS OUT SO FAR THAT IT IS CAUSING PASSENGER TO HIT HEAD AND OTHER PARTS OF FACE.*AK CONSUMER STATES THAT THE SIDE WINDOW LOCKS ARE IN THE BACK SEAT AREA AND THE LENGTH AND SHAPE OF THE LOCKS MAKE THEM DANGEROUS. *SLC

GOODYEAR, WRANGLER RTS 0265/70417:WAS DRIVING ON WET SURFACE WHEN VEHICLE STARTED TO SLIDE DUE TO TIRES NOT ABLE TO GRIP ROAD. PROBLEM ONLY OCCURS WHEN MAKING TURNS, DOES NOT HAPPEN ON DRY SURFACE. TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP. INFORMED BY MECHANIC NO OPTION TO GET LIGHT TRUCK TIRES FOR A LIGHT TRUCK. THE TIRES WERE WEARING OUT EXCESSIVELY DUE TO INCORRECT ONES ON VEHCLE.*AK
RADIATOR RECALL CUTOFF DATE (FORD #01B83) - THE CUTOFF DATE FOR THIS RECALL (MISSING RADIATOR UPGRADE) HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED BY FORD AS MAY 5, 2001 BASED ON SALES DELIVERY DATE. MY VEHICLE WAS BUILT ON APRIL 30, 2001 AND PRICED TO INCLUDE THE RADIATOR UPGRADE. THE VEHICLE WAS BUILT WITHOUT THE UPGRADE. I PAID FOR THE UPGRADE WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE (JUNE 2001) AND DID NOT GET IT. I FEEL THAT FORD SHOULD INCLUDE MY VEHICLE IN THIS RECALL AS IT WAS BUILT AND PRICED BEFORE THE CUTOFF DATE AND I DID NOT GET THE UPGRADE THAT I PAID FOR. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH LOST STEERING WHICH RESULTED IN A COLLISION. MECHANIC STATED CAUSE OF COLLISION WAS THAT POWER STEERING BROKE.*AK
RIGHT/FRONT GOODYEAR TIRE, SIZE: P255/70R16, DOT: UNKNOWN WAS REPLACED AT 8,500 MILES DUE TO EXCESSIVE TREAD WEAR, TIRE WAS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. CURRENTLY, THERE IS ASEVERE VIBRATION IN VEHICLE DURING NORMAL OPERATION AT ANY SPEED. REPLACEMENT TIRE IS ALSO EXPERIENCING EXCESSIVE WEAR, AND ONLY HAS 1,300 MILES ON IT. DEALER INSISTED PROBLEM WAS DUE TO DEFECTIVE TIRES, AND WOULD NOT REPLACE ANY MORE TIRES. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / DOCUMENTATION.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT STATE SPEED LIMIT HEARD A LOUD NOISE FROM REAR OF VEHICLE. WITHOUT A WARNING LOST STEERING CONTROL, RESULTING IN A COLLISION, MECHANIC STATED REAR AXLE BRACKET HAD A MALFUNCTION WHICH RESULTED IN SPRING UNHOOKING AND RELEASING AXLE.
CONSUMER WAS BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, STEPPING ON ACCELERATOR WHICH WAS STIFF, CONSUMER STEPPED ON IT HARDER WHICH PROMPTLY FLOORED AND STUCK. CONSUMER HAD TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL TURNING THE KEY OFF AND HAD TO UNSTICK ACCELERATOR BY HAND. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD THE ACCELERATOR TO STICK TWICE AFTER THE INITIAL INCIDENT. FORD WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND SAID IT WAS A COLD WEATHER MOISTURE PROBLEM. VEHICLE HAS BEEN FIXED, BUT BECAUSE THERE WASNO COLD WEATHER AT THIS TIME CONSUMER WAS NOT SURE. *JG ....*AK
WHILE VEHICLE WAS DOWNSHIFTING TRANSMISSION WAS MAKING A NOISE . VEHICLE WAS SERVICED. CONSUMER IS NOW ON THIRD TRANSMISSION. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.*AK
TIRE SIZE P26575R16; MODEL FIRESTONE STEEL TEX R4S LOAD RANGE E; WHILE GOING UP A SLIGHT ENGRADE TOWING A TRAILER, TRUCK BEGAN TO SWAY FOLLOWED BY A VIBRATION. VEHICLE THEN COLLAPSED ON THE RIGHT SIDE. WHEEL WELL AND RIM WERE DAMAGED. TOWED TO DEALER ,AND WAS INFORMED THAT TIRE TREAD BECAME LOOSE.*AK
GRABBER AW; TIRE SIZE P27560R17; TIRE HAS VIBRATIONS AND WAS TAKEN TO A BALANCE MECHANIC. TIRE CANNOT BE REBALANCED, QUESTIONED IF ONE OF THE LAYERS WERE OUT OF TREAD. *AK THE VIBRATION HAPPENED AT 65 MPH AND CANNOT BE BALANCED OUT. THE MECHANIC SAY IT MAY BE TREAD SEPARATION. *SCC
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW , AT ABOUT 10,000 MILE I NOTICED THAT THE TIRES WERE WEARING VERY QUICKLY. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER AND ALSO AN AUTHORIZED BF GOODRICH DEALER AND THEY CHECKED THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT WHICH THEY BOTH FOUND TO BE WITH IN SPECIFICATIONS. BOTH THE DEALER AND THE BF GOODRICH DEALER CAME UP WITH ALMOST THE SAME CONCLUSION. WHICH IS WHY I AM SUBMITTING THIS LETTER TO YOU. MY RESEARCH ON THIS MATTER WITH FORD FOUND THE FOLLOWING 1) FORD INSTALLED SMALLER TIRES ON MY VEHICLE THEN WHAT WAS INDICATED ON THE VEHICLE DESCRIPTION STICKER THAT ALL NEW VEHICLES COME WITH ON THE WINDOW. THE STICKER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAVE P275/70 R 17 INSTALLED BUT THE VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED TO ME WITH P275/60 TIRES. SEEING IF THIS WAS A ISOLATED CASE I FOUND A DIFFERENT FORD DEALER WHICH ALSO INSTALLED SMALLER TIRES THAN WHAT WAS SPECIFIED ON THE NEW VEHICLE DESCRIPTION STICKER. I TOOK PICTURES OF THIS PRACTICE WHICH I HAVE. WHEN I CONFRONTED THE SERVICE MANAGER OF WHY THESE TIRES ARE ON THESE VEHICLES HIS ANSWER WAS THAT FORD USES WHAT THEY HAVE ON HAND AT THE TIME. THE 2ND IMPORTANT FINDING IS THAT THE AIR PRESSURE THAT IS INDICATED IN THE DOOR PILLAR INDICATES TO USE 26 LBS OF AIR IN THE FRONT TIRES ON MY 2001 F 150, ACCORDING TO FORDS OWN INFORMATION AND THREE AUTHORIZED BF GOODRICH DEALERS THAT AIR PRESSURE IS NOT CORRECT AND SHOULD BE WITHIN 30 TO 35 LBS. I INVESTIGATED THE 2002 F 150 WITH THE SAME TIRE SIZE AS MY VEHICLE AND THEY HAVE THE CORRECT AIR PRESSURE NOW STATED ON THE DOOR PILLAR STICKER @ 30 TO 32 LBS. THE DIFFICULTY THAT I AM HAVING AND PROBABLY MANY OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE IS THAT BF GOODRICH WILL NOT WARRANTY THE TIRES BECAUSE THEY SAY THAT I WAS USING THE INNCORRECT AIR PRESSURE IN THE TIRES , WHEN IN FACT I WAS ONLY FOLLOWING FORDS SPECIFICATIONS THAT WAS ON THE DOOR PILLAR FOR THIS 2001 FORD VEHICLE AND WHICH HAVE NOW CHANGED IN THE 2002 MODELS WITHOUT LETTING THE 2001 OWNERS AWARE OF THIS CHANGE . THE SEATS ONLY HAVE 3/4" HARD PADDING AND YOUR LEGS, BUTT GO NUMB TO THE EXTENT THAT IT MAKES IT HARD TO GET TO THE BRAKE PEDDLE CAUSE YOUR LEGS GO TO SLEEP
THE CONSUMER LOSS CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, HIT 3 TREES BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THERE WAS A RECALL 01 V 095 000, FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. CONSUMER SUFFERED INJURIES AS A RESULT. *JB

THE VEHICLES WIRING HARNESS RUBBED AGAINST THE AIR CONDITIONING UNDER THE HOOD WHICH CAUSED NUMEROUS SHORTS IN THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE IS A 2001 FORD TRITAN V80 TRUCK. *NLM *SCC
THE FRONT UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS ARE CAUSING THE TIRES TO WEAR OUT. PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS.*AK
FUEL LINES WERE LEAKING BEHIND ENGINE. *MR THERE WAS A GAS SMELL. IT WAS DISCOVERED THE GAS LINES WERE INSTALLED BETWEEN THE FRAME AND THE BED OF THE TRUCK. THE HOLE EVENTUALLY WAS CREATED BY THE FRICTION. *SCC *JB
CONSUMER CALLED COMPLAINING ABOUT FRONT SEAT BELT PROBLEMS. THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT BELT WILL UNLOCK BY ITSELF WHILE DRIVING. *AK
RIGHT REAR RIM SEPARATED AND CAME APART. ALSO, WHEEL WARPED. THIS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING.*AK
GENERAL GRABBER CONTINENTAL TIRES, SIZE 275/85R16 T LEFT REAR TIRE TREAD SEPARATED AT 70 MPH. DRIVER REPLACED THAT TIRE WITH THE SPARE TIRE, AND 2000 MILES LATER, THE SPARE TIRE TREAD SEPARATED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING A GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD. DEALER FOUND THAT ROTORS WERE DEFECTIVE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. IT WAS HIT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. UPON IMPACT, NEITHER DRIVER'S SIDE NOR PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO NOSE AND BACK. *AK
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL COLLISION, AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MOTOR MOUNTS BROKE ,AND THE FRAME WAS DAMAGED. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS IN TRANSIT AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH WHEN A POP WAS HEARD. THE VEHICLE BLEW A SPARK PLUG AND LOST POWER. PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *JB
CONSUMER STATED CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER FAILED . THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO TAKE OFF UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE CONSUMER'S FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED. *AK
WHEN GEAR SHIFTER IS PUT INTO REVERSE THERE IS A THUMPING NOISE. WHEN VEHICLE STOPS THERE IS A THUMPING NOISE. *AK
WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH CONSUMER DEPRESSED BRAKES WITH FORCE AND PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, AND CAUSING CONSUMER TO REAR END VEHICLE IN FRONT. *AK
WHILE STOPPING AND WITHOUT ANY INDICATION CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING 45-50 MPH. THIS CAUSED CONSUMER'S VEHICLE TO REAR END VEHICLE IN FRONT. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *AK
ALL 4 TRUCK'S TIRES INCLUDING THE SPARE HAS DEVELOPS CRACKS IN THEIR SIDE WALLS. THE CAUSE OF THE CRACK IS YET TO BE DETERMINED. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN CONTACTED. TIRE PRESSURE WAS CORRECTLY MAINTAIN AND TIRES WERE ROTATED.
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER NOTICE D AIR BAG INDICATOR FLASHING. VEHICLE WAS SERVICED, AND THE TECHNICIAN DETERMINED THAT ABS PUMP AND MODULE WERE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM, AND RECOMMENDED THAT THEY SHOULD BE REPLACED. *AK
INTERMITTENTLY SEAT BELT ON DRIVER'S SIDE LOCKED UP. THE SEAT BELT GRADUALLY BECAME TIGHTER AND TIGHTER. THIS OCCURRED 3 TIMES IN A 15,000 MILES TRIP. *AK *NM
WHILE DRIVING IN THE DRIVEWAY DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WAS IN THE OFF POSITION. DEALER WAS CONTACTED. *AK
CONSUMER COMPLAINED ABOUT A SUDDEN ACCELERATION PROBLEM. CONSUMER WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UP TO 70 MPH. DRIVER TRIED TO BRAKE BUT VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE EVENTUALLY CRASHED. *AK
