I FOUND THE RECALL NUMBER FROM FORD IS 11S15 ONLINE. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT IT DOES NOT APPLY TO MY 2010 FORD F150. HOWEVER, THE SAME DEALERSHIP IS INDICATING THAT ALL FOUR OF THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE FAILING AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. IF ONE FAILED I MIGHT BELIEVE WEAR AND TEAR, BUT ALL FOUR WOULD INDICATE A DEFECT AS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL REFERENCED ABOVE.
Driver seat belt will not seat and lock.
TRADED IN MY 2010 FORD F-150 AT DPM INC IN ALBUQUERQUE NO. THEY HAVE NOT PAID OFF THE LOAN. I AM GETTING COLLECTION CALLS FROM THE FINANCE COMPANY ASKING WHY I HAVE NONOT MADE A PAYMENT ON THE VEHICLE. AT THIS POINT I DO NOT KNOW WHERE MY TRUCK IS.
REAR SIDE PASSENGER DOOR IS STUCK AND WILL NOT UNLOCK NOR OPEN. DOOR IS NOT WORKING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTED INTO FIRST GEAR. THE CONTACT QUICKLY SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL GEAR SINCE THE REAR WHEELS LOCKED UP. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE AGAIN AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO MOVE, BUT SHIFTED BACK INTO NEUTRAL. THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO SECOND GEAR AND WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE HOME. THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER (INSKEEP FORD, 2651 W MAIN ST, GREENFIELD, IN 46140, (317) 462-1470) STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 193,000.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE JAN 2017. IT HAS STALLED/SHUT DOWN AT LEAST 6 TIMES WHEN APPROACHING A RED LIGHT, SLOWING FOR TURNING VEHICLES AND ALSO SHUT DOWN IN A STATIONARY POSITION. TODAY MAKES THE 4TH TIME IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS. IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THE PLACE I PURCHASED IT, A FORD DEALERSHIP AND NOW A LOCAL DEALERSHIP. NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THIS ISSUE. THIS VEHICLE PUTS THE SAFETY OF MYSELF, MY CHILDREN AND ANY PASSENGERS AT HIGH RISK DUE TO THE FACT IT USUALLY DOES THIS ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS. I NEED THIS RESOLVED.

THE CONTACT PUMPED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE REGAINED ACCELERATION. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE LOSS OF THROTTLE POWER OCCURRED FOUR TIMES IN ONE DAY. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO PEORIA FORD (9130 W BELL RD, PEORIA, AZ 85382) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT FUSE 70 BURNED AND MELTED THE FUSE BOX. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000.
I SEE A LOT A FORD F150 OWNERS AFTER 80,000 MILES HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE STEERING JOINT IN THEIR TRUCKS THE STEERING STARTS STICKING AND STEERING GETS VERY HARD. IT'S JUST NOT MY TRUCK LOTS OF OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.

CONSUMER STATED SHIFTING INTO SECOND GEAR BEGAN TO JERK THE TRUCK LIKE. I WAS BEING HIT FROM BEHIND. THE SAME JERKING SENSATION WAS FELT WHILE THE TRUCK WAS IN REVERSE. THE ACCELERATOR NEEDED TO BE PRESS FAR DOWN FOR THE TRUCK TO MOVE IN REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LIBERTY FORD OF MAPLE HEIGHTS (5500 WARRENSVILLE CENTER RD, MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH 44137) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,189. *TT*JB

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE BEGAN APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR AGO AND HAD BECOME WORSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
MY TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTS AT VERY WRONG TIMES CAUSING MAJOR JERKING AND SUDDEN DECELERATION. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. IT IS RANDOM BUT IT HAS DONE IT ATLEAST 3 TIMES.
MY 2010 4.6 2WD SHUTS DOWN WHILE DRIVING AT 40MPH ON THE STREET. I'VE CHANGED SO MANY THINGS AND NOW JUST ORDERED THOTTLE BODY YO SEE IF IT HELPS. NO ONE CAN DIAGNOSE THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I LOSE POWER STEERING AND ALL POWER TO THE VEHICLE. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BY FORD BECAUSE IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE ACCIDENTS WITH MY KIDS INSIDE. I WAS DRIVING TO WORK ON 2/5/19, AROUND 6:45AM, AND HAD THE REAR WINDOW DEFROST ON. WHILE IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET, I HEARD A LOUD POP COMING FROM THE VEHICLE.THE SOUND WAS LOUD ENOUGH TO BE MISTAKEN FOR A GUN SHOT. AFTER TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE NOISE WAS, I NOTICED IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR WINDOW WAS COMPLETELY CRACKED. I WAS AMAZED THE ENTIRE WINDOW DIDN'T COLLAPSE INWARD. AFTER COMING TO A STOP AND INSPECTING THE WINDOW CLOSER, I WAS UNABLE TO SEE WHERE ANY FOREIGN OBJECT IMPACTED THE WINDOW. I BELIEVE THIS INCIDENT WAS CAUSED BY THE REAR WINDOW DEFROST HEATING THE WINDOW TOO RAPIDLY AND CAUSING THE CLASS TO EXPAND TOO MUCH, CAUSING THE FAILURE.
THE STEERING GOT VARY TIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY. THEN I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY AND PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. SUDDENLY THE STEERING WHEEL BROKE WHILE ENTERING THE PARKING LOT.I COULD MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. BUT IT WAS NOT TURNING THE TIRES. THANKFULLY I WAS IN A PARKING LOT AND NOT ON THE HIGHWAY WHICH I HAD JUST LEFT. IF I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY I WOULD NOT BE WRITING THIS COMPLAINT. BECAUSE I WOULD BE IN THE HOSPITAL OR DEAD!

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000..*BF*JB
FUSE 27 HAD FAILED TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE. REFER TO TSB NO. 15-0137 BUT FORD HAS NOT RECALLED
I TOOK THE VEHICLES BATTERY OUT TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE AND AFTER INSTALLING THE NEW ONE THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND WILL NOT GO OUT,,HAVE NO IDEA WHY IM THINKING IT WAS SHUT OFF TO SELL IT. T HE VEHICLE WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY WHEN IT OCCURRED. STATIONARY.

TAKATA RECALL. WHEN PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY AS THE ON COMING TRAFFIC SPEED LIMIT IS 50MPH, I'M PULLING OUT ON THE HIGHWAY WITH A SAFE DISTANCE BETWEEN CARS ON THIS BUSY ROAD AS I ACCELERATED MY 2010 F150 FX4 SUPER CREW CAB "WITH MY FAMILY IN THE TRUCK I MIGHT ADD" THE TRUCK JUST DOWN SHIFTS AND IT SLAMS ME AND MY FAMILY FORWARD "LIKE I HIT A TREE GOING 30MPH" THE TRUCK SHUTS OFF COMPLETELY AND A SYMBOL OF A WRENCH POPS UP ON THE DASHBOARD. WITH NO POWER STEERING, NO POWER BREAKS, NO WAY TO SAFELY MOVE THE TRUCK OFF THE ROAD AT THIS POINT DUE TO THE TRAFFIC I WAS TRYING TO AVOID WAS PASSING ME GOING AT LEAST 50MPH ALMOST GETTING REAR ENDED BY SEVERAL CARS AND SEMI TRUCKS, I PUSH THE FLASHERS ON AND PRAY THAT NOTHING BAD HAPPENS AND COAST UNTIL THE TRUCK FINALLY COMES TO A STOP AFTER ABOUT 30-45 SECONDS. I GET OUT OF THE TRUCK AFTER THE GROUP OF VEHICLES PASS BY AND INSPECTED TO SEE IF THE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION WAS BLOWN UP OR LEAKING FLUID AND NOTHING AT THIS POINT SO I'M STRESSED OUT BECAUSE MY FAMILY AND I COULD HAVE VERY WELL DIED AND THERE IS NO PROOF OF THIS WHEN I RESTARTED THE TRUCK NO SYMBOLS WAS PRESENT WHEN INSPECTED BY A MECHANIC. I KEEP TELLING THE MECHANIC THAT IT HAS NO POWER ANY MORE, IT SOOOOO SLUGGISH I CAN'T EVEN DRIVE THE TRUCK MUCH ANYMORE, ONLY ON SHORT TRIPS TO THE STORE. WE HAD TO CANCEL OR VACATION AND CANCEL THE PURCHASE OF A CAMPER FOR OUR VACATION. I'M SORRY BUT IF FORD WAS A REAL SYMBOL OF SAFETY AND SECURITY OF ITS OWNERS THIS WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP!!!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM PHASER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,796.
THE PASSENGER SECTION OF THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED WHILE THE REAR DEFROSTER WAS ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A PARKING LOT OF A RESTAURANT AND WITHOUT ANYTHING IMPACTING THE WINDOW IT JUST SHATTERED. FOR ABOUT A WEEK LEADING UP TO THE INCIDENT THERE WAS A FUNNY SMELL WHENEVER I USED THE REAR DEFROSTER, MELTING PLASTIC, THAT I COULDN'T PINPOINT. INITIALLY, I THOUGH IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE SEAT HEATERS
VEHICLE SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTED TO FIRST GEAR AT 65MPH CAUSING SKID. THEN DOWNSHIFTED TO NEUTRAL.
REAR WINDOW GLASS EXPLODED WITH REAR DEFROSTER ON, DURING SNOW STORM
I TOOK MY FORD F150 TO THE DEALER FOR A ROUTINE OIL AND TIRE ROTATION. THE SERVICE REP CAME TO ME AND SAID THAT IT WILL TAKE A LITTLE LONGER FOR SERVICE BECAUSE YOUR LUG NUTS ARE SWELLING. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT I SHOULD PURCHASE NEW LUG NUTS BECAUSE A SPECIAL DEALER TOOL IS NEEDED TO REMOVE THE SWELLED LUG NUT. IF I HAVE A FLAT TIRE, I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE IT DO TO THE SWELLED LUG NUTS WHICH WOULD REQUIRE A TOW TO A FORD DEALER. FORD KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE LUGNUTS SWELLING, WHICH IS WHY THEY HAVE A SPECIAL TOOL. THE SERVICE REP STATED THAT I COULD PURCHASE LUGNUTS FROM FORD AND WOULD BE CHARGED $500.00 FOR THE REPAIR. THE PROPER LUGNUTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN INSTALLED ON MY VEHICLE WHEN IT WAS BUILT. THIS TO ME IS A SAFETY HAZARD WITH A POSSIBLE FUTURE ROADSIDE ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN.
11/29/18 WILL BE THE 6TH TIME MY ENGINE SHUT OFF WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND MAKING A TURN. OTHER 5 INCIDENTS WERE ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. EACH OCCASION, SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP, ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE MAKING A TURN, AND I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL WHILE PRESSING BRAKES, STARTS UP, AND I KEEP GOING DOWN THE ROAD. 122K MILES, LOVE THE TRUCK BUT THIS HAS ME VERY CONCERNED FOR MY FAMILY RIDING IN THE TRUCK. I LOOKED UP ANY RECALLS BUT DID NOT FIND ANYTHING REGARDING THIS. F-150 FORUMS HAVE THE EXACT SAME INCIDENTS AND WHEN TAKING TO FORD DEALERSHIP, THEY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. PLEASE LET ME KNOW MY OPTIONS OF GETTING FORD TO DO SOMETHING.
STEERING GETS HARD AND EASY WHEN DRIVING SEEMS DANGEROUS?? OR SETTING TURNING DIFFERENT SPEEDS
ONE SECTION OF THE HEATED AND POWER REAR WINDOW SHREDDED FOR NO REASON,HEARD A LOUD BANG WHILE DRIVING,DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED,PULLED ON SIDE THE ROAD CHECK MY TRUCK ALL AROUND NO VISIBLE DAMAGE GOT BACK IN THE TRUCK AND LOOK MY REVIEW MIRROR AND MY LEFT SECTION OF THE GLASS WAS ALL SHREDDED, BY THE WAY MY REAR DEFROSTER WAS ACTIVATED AT THE TIME.
REAR DEFROST GLASS SHATTERED AFTER USING THE REAR DEFROSTER. THE REAR DEFROSTER STOPPED WORKING BUT STARTED WORKING AGAIN, ONLY TO RESULT IN OVERHEATING AND SHATTERING THE GLASS. THE SHATTERING OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 30-40 MPH, THE TEMPERATE WHILE COOL (AROUND 45 DEGREES). I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT AND IT WAS DARK.
WHILE ON MY REGULAR COMMUTE TO WORK AS I DROVE ONTO THE HIGHWAY FRONTAGE ROAD I SLOWLY BEGAN TO ACCELERATE WHEN SUDDENLY MY TRUCK STARTED ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN. SO MUCH SO THAT I WAS NO LONGER CONTROLLING ITS SPEED. REALIZING THIS I HAD TO APPLY BOTH FEET SIMULTANEOUSLY ON THE BRAKES IN ORDER TO SLOW THE VEHICLE ENOUGH TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL THEN FINALLY I WAS ABLE PUT IT IN PARK. UNBELIEVABLY THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING AT HIGH RPMS EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN PARK. IT WASN'T UNTIL AFTER I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF THAT THE RPM'S STOPPED. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THIS I SAW SMOKE COMING FROM BOTH OF THE FRONT WHEEL WELLS. AS I GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK I REALIZED THAT BOTH SETS OF BRAKES WERE ON FIRE. THIS CAUSED IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE BRAKING SYSTEM AS THE COMPONENTS HAD BECOME EXTREMELY OVERHEATED. THE INSTANCE OF THE ENGINE RUNNING HIGH RPMS ALSO OCCURRED THE NIGHT BEFORE. HOWEVER THIS TIME MY WIFE WAS DRIVING. WE WERE IN A PARKED POSITION AFTER FUELING UP THE TRUCK AND WERE GETTING READY TO LEAVE THE GAS STATION. MY WIFE JUST APPLIED THE BRAKES AND PUT THE TRUCK BACK IN PARK THEN THE RPM'S CALMED DOWN. WE JUST KIND OF DISMISSED IT UNTIL LESS THAN 12 HOURS LATER THE ABOVE MENTIONED INCIDENT OCCURRED. COINCIDENCE I THINK NOT.
I WAS PARKED AT A FOOD STORE WHEN I PRESSES THE REAR DEFROST TO CLEAR UP THE FOGGED UP WINDOW. WHILE TALKING TO MY WIFE WE HEAR A LOUD BANG NOISE. I WALKED AROUND MY VEHICLE AND NOTICED THE REAR DRIVERS PANEL WINDOW SHATTERED. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. THREE YEARS AGO WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I TURNED ON THE REAR DEFROST AND THE PASSENGER REAR WINDOW PANEL SHATTTERED. I NOTIFIED FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND THEY REFUSE TO HELP WITH ISSUE.
STEERING GETS EASY AND HARD WHEN IT'S WARM (75+) NOT POWER STEERING PUMP. RPMS HAVE NO IMPACT. NOT STEERING SHAFT, POWER STEERING PUMP, POWER STEERING FLUID, BALL JOINTS STEERING RACK... MECHANICS ARE AT A LOSS. ABOUT 33,000 MILES.
TAKATA RECALL. THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR IS ON
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE, THE STEERING BECAME SO HEAVY THAT I WAS BARELY ABLE TO MAKE THE TURN AND WAS ALMOST HIT HEAD ON BY A VEHICLE ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, THIS APPARENTLY IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS VEHICLE. I HAD IT REPAIRED AND THE BILL WAS OVER $600.00. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL INITIATED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED WHEN THEIR POWER STEERING FAILS. IN A F150, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN THE WHEEL WITHOUT POWER STEERING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT DROVE OVER A POTHOLE AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. A PICTURE OF A BATTERY WAS DISPLAYED ON THE CENTER OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. AFTER APPROXIMATELY FIVE MINUTES, THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND OPERATED NORMALLY. HOWEVER, AFTER APPROXIMATELY THREE MILES, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER HE STRUCK THE FUSE BOX A FEW TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 198,000.
THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE, PREVENTING THE PASSENGER FROM BEING ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. IN AN EMERGENCY, THE PASSENGER WOULD BE UNABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT SOMEONE OPENING THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. I RARELY HAVE PASSENGERS, OTHER THAN MY PRESCHOOL-AGED SON, WHO RIDES IN HIS CHILD SEAT IN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE SEAT. THERE IS A RECALL FOR INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES FOR MY VEHICLE'S MODEL YEAR, BUT NOT FOR MY VIN FOR SOME REASON. PERHAPS THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED. THE FAILURE WAS NOTICED WHEN A PASSENGER WAS TRYING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT.
POWER STEERING CUTS. THIS LARIAT F150 2010 VEHICLE HAS 115000 MILES ON THE ENGINE. THIS HAPPENS INFREQUENTLY. IT CAN BE THE FIRST START IN THE MORNING OR A RESTART AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS RUN FOR HOURS. ALWAYS HAPPENS ON A RESTART, NOT WHILE THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING.
SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING, USUALLY IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN OR PULLING A LOAD, THE VEHICLE WILL DOWN SHIFT MULTIPLE GEARS. INSTEAD OF A PROGRESSION OF ONE GEAR AT A TIME, IT IS A SUDDEN SHIFT FROM LE. FOURTH TO SECOND OR FIRST. I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT REDUCTION AS MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A GEAR INDICATOR. IT OCCURS SPORADICALLY WITH NO WARNING. THIS ACTION HAS NEVER CAUSED A DANGEROUS SITUATION BUT IS CONCERNING. THE ENGINE RPM HAS JUMPED TO THE RED LINE WHICH I FEEL MAY CAUSE ENGINE AND/OR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS.
THE STEERING SHAFT HAS TWO U JOINTS, THE ONE CLOSEST TO THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SIEZED UP MAKING IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER, VERY DANGEROUS WHEN PULLING A CAMPER AT HIGHWAY SPEED TO SAY THE LEASE. I HAD IT FIXED BY A FORD MECHANIC (PART WAS 300 BUCKS ALONE) AND HE SAID IT IS VERY COMMON ON THEM. I NOTICED A RECALL ON THE CROWN VICTORIAS FOR THE SAME ISSUE ON THE POLICE MODELS. WHY IS THERE NOT RECALL ON THE F 150?
FROM DISCOUNT TIRE CO, I PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES ON FEBRUARY 5, 2018 TODAY, TREAD IS NOW BELOW THE LEGAL FOR SAFETY WITH ONLY 23,909 MILES ON THE TIRE. I WENT TO THE SAME DEALER LOCATION THAT PUT THE TIRES ON( LIVINGSTON, TEXAS) TO RECEIVE TERMS OF THE CERTIFICATE OR WARRANTY THEY DID NOT WANT TO HONOR EITHER WARRANTY FOR REPLACEMENT WITHOUT ME NEEDING TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL 400.00 . I AM WANTING TO RETURN MY TIRES SINCE OBVIOUSLY THIS IS EITHER A DEFECTIVE TIRE OR ONE OF BELOW AVERAGE QUALITY.

FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS A REPAIR KIT FOR THIS PROBLEM WHICH IS FORD PART NUMBER EL3Z-14293 FUSE RELOCATION IN THE FUSE BOX TO A BIGGER 20 AMP FUSE NEW LOCATION 70 . THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A PROBLEM IN THERE ELECTRICAL FUEL SYSTEM

SEVERE RUST ON ROCKER PANELS, DOORS AND BODY FRAME ON BOTH SIDES OF THE TRUCK
THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED ABRUPTLY WITHOUT WARNING OR INDICATION AT 75MPH ON THE HIGHWAY LOCKING THE REAR TIRES CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL ALMOST ROLLING OVER AND MAKING CONTACT WITH OTHER VEHICLES TRAVELING AT HIGH RATES OF SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSTICALLY CHECKED AND INSPECTED AT A FORD SERVICE CENTER. THEY INDICATED THAT THERE WAS NO MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL FAILURE TO REPAIR. THE TRUCK CURRENTLY OPERATES IN THE SAME MANNER AS IT DID PRIOR TO THE TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTING. IN MY OPINION, THE VEHICLE EXHIBITS THE SAME FAILURE MODE THAT FORD FIXED UNDER RECALL 16S19. THIS DESIGN FLAW IS EXTREMELY LIFE THREATENING AND HAZARDOUS. I HAVE PARKED MY VEHICLE. I CONTACTED FORD 4 TIMES AND EVEN THOUGH THAT 1 INDIVIDUAL FROM FORD DID INDICATE THAT MY VEHICLE WAS INDEED AFFECTED BY THE DESIGN FLAW ASSOCIATED WITH THE 16S19 RECALL, IT WAS NOT ON THE "LIST" OF VEHICLES TO BE RECALLED SO IT WILL NOT BE FIXED DUE TO A VIN NUMBER SELECTION METHODOLOGY THAT HE DIDN'T DISCLOSE. I HAVE NO WAY TO FIX THE VEHICLE. THE REASON IS BECAUSE NEW SOFTWARE MUST BE FLASHED ON THE POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE DESIGN FLAW AND I HAVE NO WAY TO KNOW IF THE NEW SOFTWARE ON THE PCM THAT WAS DEVELOPED FOR F150S THROUGH YEARS 2011 - 2013 IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE 2010 F150S AND FORD WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO TALK TO ANY TECHNICAL REPS TO DETERMINE IF THAT IS POSSIBLE. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE TECHNICIANS CANNOT DETERMINE SYSTEM SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY EITHER AND ARE EXTREMELY RISK ADVERSE TO DOING ANYTHING THAT WAS NOT APPROVED BY FORD CONSIDERING THE SAFETY IMPLICATIONS OF THIS PROBLEM. THIS VEHICLE AND OTHERS LIKE IT ARE JUST TICKING TIME BOMBS ON THE HIGHWAY. MINE WILL BE PARKED UNTIL SOMETHING IS DONE BY NHTSA OR FORD.

THE CONTACT PULLED OVER ONTO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD, RESTARTED THE ENGINE, AND REGAINED NORMAL FUNCTION OF THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, THE ENGINE FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED, BUT A FAILURE CODE COULD NOT BE LOCATED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC RESEARCHED THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE ENGINE FUSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE ENGINE FUSE WAS REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO FAIL TO START AND STALLED WHEN DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
THE BUMPERS AND METAL UNDER THE DOORS ARE ROTTING OUT , THE VEHICLE IS ONLY 8 YEARS OLD. THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED ,LOTS OF PEOPLE ON INTERNET ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.
