ADVANCE TRAC LIGHT CAME ON AND BLINKERS STOPPED WORKING. DEALER CHARGED 105 TO DIAGNOSE, CAME BACK AND SAID STEERING RACK NEED ED TO BE REPLACED. AT ALMOST 2000.00. TURNS OUT STEERING IS ALL ELECTRONIC! I DID NOT HAVE 2000.00 TO FIX SO I HAD TO PICK IT UP. WAS TOLD STEERING COULD GO OUT AT ANY TIME. AFTER SEARCHES, FOUND OUT THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE ON 2012 TO 2014 TRUCKS. IT IS ALSO A VERY DNAGEROUS ISSUE. WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN RECALLED? WHEN ARE THESE CAR COMPANIES GOING TO LEARN, STOP PUTTING ALL OF THE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS IN A VEHICLE, THEY DO NOT LAST.
EXTREMELY HARD PEDAL ON START UP. FORD HAS A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM CALLED 15N05 FOR THIS VERY PROBLEM. ONLINE, MY VEHICLE IS THE TYPE AND WAS BUILT DURING THE DATES AND PLACES SPECIFIED. WHEN I CALLED, THEY SAID MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT COVERED.
ON AT LEAST 6 OCCASIONS, TRUCK MISFIRES AND SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN UNDER LOAD OR ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE. PULL OFF ROAD OR LET OFF OF ACCELERATOR AND ENGINE RESUMES NORMAL OPERATION. HAPPENED ONCE PULLING EMPTY TRAILER, HAPPENED 4 TIMES MERGING ONTO INTERSTATE. HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES PASSING / ACCELERATING ON INTERSTATE. FRIGHTENING AND DANGEROUS WHEN TRUCK SHAKES VIOLENTLY ON INTERSTATE. ROADS WERE WET OR RAINY CONDITIONS IN LAST 5 INCIDENTS. 2012 F150 FX4 WITH ONLY 87000 MILES. NO ACCIDENTS. TRUCK MAINTAINED AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
TIMES WHEN I'M DRIVING I USED GET JERKS WHEN SHIFTING GEARS, I TOOK IT TO THE FORD SERVICE CENTER THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS RECALL TO ADJUST THE SOFTWARE UPDATE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 2012 FEW MONTHS AFTER I HAD PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. I GAVE IT TO THE FORD SERVICE CENTER TO UPDATE THE SOFTWARE. FEW DAYS AFTER I FELT IT AGAIN BUT DIDN'T FELT IT AGAIN SOME TIME. AFTER A MONTH WILES DRIVING FROM 4TH TO 6TH GEAR SHIFT ,I GOT A BIG JERK FROM 4TH TO 6TH GEAR SHIFT AS IF I THOUGHT THE TRANSMISSION MIGHT LOCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHILE I WAS DRIVING. RIGHT AFTER THAT I TOOK IT BACK AT THE FORD SERVICE CENTER AND THEY SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME ON MONDAY JUNE17TH 2019. I'M WRITING THIS BECAUSE I ASKED FEW PEOPLE I KNOW WHO OWNED F150 AND THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING. THIS COULD HAVE SEVERE ACCIDENT WILE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO THE DRIVEWAY, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE CONTACT CALLED ALAN JAY FORD LINCOLN (LOCATED AT 3201 US HWY 27 S, SEBEING, FL, 33870, (863) 385-0144) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
WHILE DRIVING AT 60MPH THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED INTO FIRST WITHOUT WARNING, CAUSING A SUDDEN LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE ALMOST CAUSING MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS AS I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. THE SUDDEN DOWN SHIFT OVER SPUN THE MOTOR, RESULTING IN A LOWER ENGINE KNOCK WHICH A CERTIFIED FORD TECHNICIAN BELIEVES IS THE RESULT OF A BEARING FAILURE. EVEN THOUGH THE TECHNICIAN PERFORMED A CYLINDER LEAKAGE TEST IN WHICH NO INDICATION OF VALVE INTERFERENCE WAS IDENTIFIED, THE FORD ENGINEER HE WAS DEALING WITH SAID HE HAD SEEN THIS ISSUE BEFORE! THIS IS THE SAME RECALL ISSUE THAT HAS CAUSED MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS! THERE ARE DOZENS OF BLOG POSTS WHERE THIS ISSUE HAS CAUSED, AT THE VERY LEAST, MULTIPLE TRIPS TO THE DEALERSHIPS AND IN RARE CASES (NOT INCLUDING MINE), ENGINE FAILURE. I HAVE CALCULATED THE ENGINES RPM'S USING THE FORMULA: AXLE RATIO X VEHICLE SPEED X TRANSMISSION RATIO X 336.13) / TIRE DIAMETER = ENGINE SPEED. AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT, THE ENGINE'S RPM'S WERE AT AN ESTIMATED 9,074 RPM'S [(3.55 X 60MPH X 4.17 X 336.13)/32.9]. THE TACHOMETER ONLY GOES TO 7,000 RPM'S! THERE ARE TWO RECALLS (19N01 AND 19S07) THAT CAN CAUSE INTERMITTENT SHIFTING INTO FIRST. THE DAY BEFORE THE INCIDENT, I WENT TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T GET ME IN FOR RECALL FIXES BECAUSE THEY NEEDED TO "TAKE CARE OF THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS FIRST." I HAVE TALKED WITH FOUR DIFFERENT FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES, THE ANSWER HAS BEEN THE SAME; "THERE IS NOTHING FORD MOTOR COMPANY CAN DO FOR YOU AT THIS TIME." I FEEL FORD HAS BEEN VERY NEGLECTFUL IN TAKING RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS ISSUE, NOT ONLY FOR MYSELF BUT THE COUNTLESS OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS.
COMPLAINT INVOLVES RECALL 19S07/NHTSA 19V-075. I HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE IN TO THE FORD DEALER FOR SERVICE WHEN 1ST PURCHASING AND UPON RECEIPT OF THIS RECALL NOTICE. THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN REMEDIED IN MY VEHICLE AND POSES A SAFETY CONCERN. MY VEHICLE STILL SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTS OR BUCKS. FEELS LIKE I AM BEING REAR ENDED. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, USUALLY AT LOW SPEEDS(05-15MPH). TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SHIFT AT NORMAL RPM'S SINCE RECALL SERVICING.
CONTRARY TO THE RESOLUTION STATED IN NHTSA INVESTIGATION EA 15-006, FORD IS REFUSING TO COVER THE DEFECTIVE VACUUM PUMP EVEN THOUGH IT FALLS WITH IN THE AFFECTED VEHICLE PRODUCTION TIME AND IS WITHIN 10 YEARS AND 150,000 MILES.
TAKATA RECALL- I JUST GOT MY 2012 F150 AND I REALLY LIKE THE TRUCK BUT EVERYTIME I DRIVE IT AND IM SLOWING DOWN IT ALL SUDDENTLY SHIFTS DOWN REAL HARD , I TRY TO AVOID IT TO SHIFT DOWN SO HARD BUT NOTHING WORKS. IT REALLY DOESNT FEEL SAFE AT ALL DRIVING IT AND THIS HAPPENS EVERYTIME I DRIVE IT.I JUST WANT TO GET THAT RECALL PROBLEM FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
WHILE TRAVELING AT 70 MPH THE VEHICLE STALLED WITH THE ENGINE SHUTTING DOWN IN MAIN LANES OF AN INTERSTATE. THE STALLED ENGINE RESULTED IN THE LOSS OF ALL POWER ASSIST FEATURES INCLUDING POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. WE WERE ABLE TO NAVIGATE ACROSS SEVERAL LANES BEFORE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP IN A TRAFFIC LANE BUT NOT SAFELY OFF THE INTERSTATE. AFTER CALLING FOR A TOW AND REQUESTED SERVICE. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A FUSE POWERING THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP HAD "BURNED" OUT AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SIMPLE SOLUTION, UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED THE FUSE PANEL HAD BEEN DAMAGED AND WOULD NO LONGER ACCEPT A FUSE AND HAS TO BE MODIFIED WITH THE FUSE LOCATION MOVED TO A NEW LOCATION AND UPGRADED TO A MORE ROBUST FUSE AND FUSE PLACEMENT SLOT. FORD HAS BEEN AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAS ONLY ELECTED TO FIX THOSE VEHICLES THAT EXHIBIT FAILURE AND AT THE COST OF THE CONSUMER IF NOT WITHIN THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN RETURNED TO FORD DEALERS MULTIPLE TIMES WITH NO MENTION OF THIS PROBLEM OR REPAIR. FORD HAS ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN (TSB 15-0137) AND HAS CREATED A SPECIFIC REPLACEMENT KIT, WHICH INCLUDES INSTRUCTIONS AND ALL NECESSARY PARTS TO PERFORM THE RELOCATION (MOTORCRAFT # EL3Z-14293-A). THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AS IT IMPACTS THE SAFETY OF FORD'S F150 OWNERS, THEIR PASSENGERS AND THOSE THAT SHARE THE ROAD WITH THEM. FAILURE OF ALL POWER ASSIST FUNCTIONS WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IS SCARY AND CREATES A DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR THOSE IN THE VEHICLE AND THOSE AROUND IT. IT ALSO CREATES AN EVEN MORE DANGEROUS SITUATION IF THE VEHICLE WAS BEING USED TO CROSS A BUSY INTERSECTION, STALLED AND THEN STOPPED IN THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION. INCLUDED ARE PICTURES OF THE FUSE AND THE FUSE BLOCK DAMAGED DURING THE FAILURE AND HONESTLY, A FIRE COULD HAVE EASILY STARTED AS A RESULT OF THIS FAILURE.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BYERS FORD (1101 COLUMBUS PIKE, DELAWARE, OH 43015, (888) 350-4405) WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V075000 (POWER TRAIN). WHILE LEAVING THE DEALER, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTING WAS DIFFERENT AND IT WOULD SLOWLY SHIFT INTO GEAR. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT SPONGY AND DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. WITHIN THE PAST THREE MONTHS, THE CONTACT HAD TO ADD FOUR BOTTLES OF ANTIFREEZE TO THE TRANSMISSION AND THE ENGINE OVERHEATED. IN ADDITION, THE SERVICE BRAKE, ENGINE HOT, AND TRANSMISSION HOT WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. OCCASIONALLY, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED OR IDLING, THE AIR CONDITIONER BLEW HOT AIR AND THE WINDOWS FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A FAILURE DUE TO MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER: 19S07 (POWER TRAIN). THE REPAIR WAS INCOMPLETE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP FAILED AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES OPERATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
I TOOK MY 2012 F-150 TO BYERS FORD IN DELAWARE,OH. THEY WERE TO PERFORM THE 19S07 RECALL. THEY SAID THEY DID IT. AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP I NOTICED IMMEDIATELY THAT THE TRUCK SHIFTS VERY QUICKLY INTO FIRST AND THE BRAKES FELT DIFFERENT. THEN SINCE I HAVE PUT 4 BOTTLES OF COOLANT IN IT IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS. OVERHEATING FREQUENTLY AFTER ONLY 15-20 MINUTES OF DRIVING. THEN THE BREAKS DON'T WORK HALF THE TIME AND THE LIGHT COMES ON SERVICE BRAKES, I HAVE THEM CHECKED BY FORD THEY SAY NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM. NOW THE TRUCK SHAKES, OVERHEATING FREQUENTLY, BRAKES WORK PART OF THE TIME, WHERE IS THE COOLANT GOING? NO LIQUIDS ON THE GROUND UNDER THE TRUCK BUT IT SMELLS BURNT AND WET IN THE TAILPIPE. NOW BYERS FORD IS SAYING THAT IT IS JUST DUE TO 2 MORE RECALLS, ONE BEING THE VACUUM PUMP AND THE OTHER IS THE TRANSMISSION MODULE, BUT THEY SAY IT SHOULD BE OKAY TO DRIVE, THEY CAN'T GET ME A RENTAL CAR AND THEY CAN'T GET ME IN UNTIL OCTOBER 9TH BUT THEY SAY TO JUST KEEP DRIVING IT WITH MY BREAKS BARELY WORKING HALF THE TIME BECAUSE OF THE VACUUM PUMP AND IT OVERHEATING ALMOST EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT, HAVING TO FILL IT UP WITH COOLANT, LOSS OF POWER, SLUGGISH, MANY RANDOM COMPUTER ISSUES IT SEEMS BUT THEY SAY TO DRIVE IT? MY ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION BOTH OVERHEAT AND MAJOR IS I HAVE NO BREAKS HALF THE TIME, IT SEEMS LIKE THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY CONCERN BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE OR WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT AND ADDRESS ALL THE ISSUES THAT THE FIRST RECALL CREATED. THE TRUCK HAD NO PROBLEMS BEFORE THE RECALL AND NOW A BIG MESS THAT IS ABOUT TO BLOW UP THAT NOW HAS 2 MORE ADDITIONAL RECALLS BECAUSE OF THE FIRST ONE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,800.

ECKENROD FORD LINCOLN (5255 AL-157, CULLMAN, AL 35058, (800) 944-1389) INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND INFORMED THE DEALER THAT TWO SENSORS AND THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURES WERE A KNOWN ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS TO BE REPAIRED BY THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *BF*JB

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WILLIAM MIZELL FORD (LOCATED AT 330 US-25, WAYNESBORO, GA 30830, (706) 554-2114) WHERE THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. AS SOON AS THE CONTACT LEFT THE DEALER, THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO JUMP WHEN DOWNSHIFTING, AND THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND TEST DRIVEN, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS NOT AWARE OF THE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT HE WOULD NEED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR A WHILE FOR IT TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON HIGHWAY AND TURNING LEFT THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT RETURN TO CENTER. THE DRIVER HAD TO MANUALLY WITH EFFORT IN ORDER TO AVOID CROSSING INTO OPPOSING LANE, RETURN STEERING TO RIGHT. TOOK VEHICLE TO LOCAL DEALER, FOUND FAULT CODE C1B00. STEERING ANGLE SENSOR FAILED. FORD IS PROBABLY AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM THAT APPEARS TO BE DO TO OVERHEATING IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT. OCCURRENCE USUALLY OUT OF WARRANTY. COST $1800.
ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING LOCKED UP WHILE PARKED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER AN UNKNOWN NHTSA CAMPAIGN AT JANELL FORD OF HANOVER (2000 WASHINGTON ST, HANOVER, MA 02339 (781) 982-4500) AND ALSO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW VACUUM PUMP INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED 3 YEARS AGO, HOWEVER, THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000. *BF *JB
THE TRUCK OFTEN TIMES WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR. THE RPM WILL RISE AND THE TRUCK WILL ACCELERATE QUICKLY THEN SLOW BACK DOWN. WHEN IT GETS OUT OF 1ST GEAR IT WILL OFTEN GO BACK TO 1ST GEAR RANDOMLY. WRENCH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ARE FREQUENT. LIMP MODE ENGAGES OFTEN AND THE DASH WILL BECOME INACTIVE. FUEL ECONOMY SCREEN WILL CLEAR OUT AND ALL INFORMATION WILL BE DISPLAYED AS DASH LINES. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO FORD TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT UNDER THE 16N02 RECALL AND THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT. THE COVERAGE ONLY EXTENDS TO 150,000 MILES, BUT MY TRUCK HAS 163,000. THE COVERAGE ONLY COVERS IT IF THE TRUCK IS DISPLAYING SYMPTOMS AND MINE DID NOT DISPLAY ANYTHING UNTIL THIS LAST WEEK.
I WAS DRIVING ON SR 71 NORTH OF COLUMBUS OHIO IN THE RAIN WHEN I CHANGED LANES AND TRIED TO ACCELERATE BUT THE ENGINE JUST STARTED SHAKING AND MY ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. THE TRUCK WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AND STARTED TO SLOW DOWN. I MANAGED TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC AND GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY. AFTER SITTING A FEW MINUTES I TRIED TO GET BACK ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN I TRIED TO ACCELERATE THE TRUCK STARTED SHAKING AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. AFTER A 3RD ATTEMPT THE TRUCK FINALLY GOT UP TO SPEED AND I MADE IT HOME. MY ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. I BEGAN TO READ FORUMS ON THE FORD F150 FX4 AND DISCOVERED MANY MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH MOISTURE AND THE INTERCOOLER SYSTEM.. I COULD'VE DIED TODAY. THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE RIGHT BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
JERKS AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN SHIFTING IF NOT ON THE GAS. REALLY BAD CLUNK, MADE OUR TRUCK HIT A POLE. KEEPS DOING IT AND FEELS LIKE TRANSMISSION WANTS TO DROP OUT. SEEMS LIKE 1ST AND SECOND GEARS.
I HAD THE LATEST PROGRAMMING RECALL PERFORMED ON MY 2012 FORD F150. SINCE HAVING THIS PERFORMED MY TRUCK HAS GOTTEN WORSE, WHEN IT RAINS IT HAS DOWN SHIFTED MULTIPLE TIMES. IT HAS DOWN SHIFTED FROM 6TH TO 2 OR 3 WHEN GOING DOWN A SHORT INCLINE, ON LEVEL GROUND OR GOING UP A INCLINE AT SPEEDS OF 45 TO 60 MPH. THE RECALL MADE MY TRUCK WORSE ALSO I RECEIVED A LETTER TODAY EXTENDING THE WARRANTY ON THE OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED SENSOR TO 10 YEARS. IF THE WARRANTY OF A PART HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 10 YEARS BECAUSE OF SENSOR FAILURE PROBLEM THE SENSOR MAY NEEDS TO HAVE A RECALL ON IT. WE HAVE HAD A RAINY YEAR SO FAR, I'M AFRAID THAT THE PROBLEM IS GOING TO CAUSE ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. I'M A SENIOR AND DEALT WITH DEALERSHIPS FOR MANY YEARS, I'VE HAD AUTOMOBILES SIT IN DEALERSHIPS AND NEVER GET TOUCHED OTHER THAN THEY DRIVE AROUND THE SHOP AND THEN STATE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED ON THE PAPERWORK WHEN I PICK IT UP IF NOT FOR THAT I WOULD BE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DO OVER. ENGINE KILLS WON'T START DUE TO FUSE #27 BLOWN
I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE USED FROM A FORD DEALERSHIP IN 2017. I BROUGHT IT IN A FEW MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED IT DUE TO REAR TIRES LOCKING UP AND A SUDDEN DOWNSHIFT. WAS TOLD NO CODES WERE FOUND WRONG AND THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. APRIL 30, 2019 HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED BACK IN. WAS INFORMED OF A RECALL ON LEAD MANE FRAME FOR FIRST TIME. AFTER REPLACING LEAD FRAME VEHICLE STILL WILL NOT PREFORM PROPERLY AND I HAVE NOW BEEN TOLD ENTIRE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY LETTER NOR MADE AWARE AT TIME OF PURCHASE OF ANY RECALL. FORD CONTINUES TO REFUSE ANY REMEDIES TO JUSTIFY THIS PROBLEM. I'M A SINGLE MOTHER OF 3 AND AM OUTRAGED BY THE COMPANIES FAILURE TO NOTIFY ME OF THIS SAFETY RECALL. THE COMPANY REFUSES TO HELP BECAUSE MY MILEAGE IS 152,000 MILES. 2,000 OVER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR RECALL. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED IN A TIMELY MANNER OF THIS FAULTY TRANSMISSION AND POSSIBLY DEADLY RECALL I WOULD HAVE IMMEDIATELY TENDED TO IT. I WAS SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT WITH MY TWO KIDS IN THE CAR AND I HEARD A LOUD BANG AND CRACKING. AFTER MAKING A TIGHT TURN IN A PARKING LOT "SERVICE ADVANCETRACK" MESSAGE CAME UP ON DISPLAY. WITH MESSAGE DISPLAYED TURN SIGNAL WOULD NOT STAY ON. AT 50,000 MILES DEALER SAYS THE STEERING RACK NEEDS TO BE REPLACED THAT IT IS NOT A SERVICEABLE ITEM.
I HAVE BROUGHT MY TRUCK IN PREVIOUS TIMES WHEN IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY, I DESCRIBED THE SAME ISSUE EVERY TIME ABOUT A SUDDEN DOWNSHIFT. I HAVE THIS DOCUMENTED IN SERVICE SHEETS I HAVE OBTAINED FROM THEM. THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE OR STATED IT WAS A REPROGRAMMING ISSUE. OVER TIME THE DOWNSHIFT ISSUE HAS DAMAGED THE TRANSMISSION AND FINALLY LED TO IT COMPLETELY FAILING. I WAS SCHEDULED TO HAVE THE RECALL SERVICE ON TUESDAY 4-23-2019, ON 4-18-19 I WAS DRIVING ON HWY 62 AT 35MPH THE TRUCK DID THE SUDDEN DOWNSHIFT NEARLY CAUSING ME TO BE REARENDED, AFTER THE DOWNSHIFT MY TRUCK LOST ALL POWER AND IT HAD TO BE PUSHED INTO A PARKING LOT. THEN I HAD IT TOWED TO THE HERITAGE FORD DEALERSHIP. THE ISSUE WHICH IS FINALLY BEEN ADDRESSED AS A RECALL HAS LED TO THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC" WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES AFTER SHARP TURNS INTO PARKING SPACES, ETC.. TURN SIGNAL ARM HAS TO BE HELD DURING TURNS. SOMETIMES PROBLEM CLEARS ITSELF.
ON A 50-DEGREE MORNING I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND THERE WAS A HEAVY DEW. I TURNED MY REAR DEFROSTER ON AND APPROXIMATELY 3 OR 4 MINUTES LATER AS I WAS AT A STOP I HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION/POP. I EXAMINED MY FRONT WINDSHIELD AND STARTED TO THINK WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED AND THEN WHEN I LOOKED IN MY REAR-VIEW MIRROR TO SEE IF SOMEONE HAD BUMPED ME I NOTICED MY BACK GLASS HAD EXPLODED. SINCE I WAS AT A FULL STOP AND I HAD NO IMPACT I GOT TO WONDERING THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. AFTER GETTING TO WORK I RESEARCHED "REAR DEFROSTER CAUSES BACK GLASS TO BREAK". THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THEREFOR I TOOK MY TRUCK TO OUR LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY DETERMINED A DEFECT IN THE DEFROSTER CAUSED THE ISSUE.
TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS A RECALL ON IT DUE TO IT GOING INTO FIRST GEAR UNEXPECTEDLY. TOOK TRUCK TO CLOSEST DEALERSHIP TWO WEEKS AGO AND HAD THE RECALL SERVICE COMPLETED. WAS TOLD TO EXPECT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO BE ON FOR THREE OR FOUR DAYS. WHEN IT STAYED ON A WEEK I CALLED THEM BACK TO DISCUSS THE LIGHT STILL BEING ON. RESCHEDULED A FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENT FOR APRIL 12. ON APRIL 5 AND APRIL 7 THE TRUCK HAD THE SAME PROBLEM THAT THE RECALL WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX. GOING APPROX 50MPH WHEN THE TRUCK WENT INTO FIRST GEAR WITH WHEEL HOP AND SOME FISH TAILING. WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURS THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL BASICALLY GO TO ALL ZERO'S AND IT TAKES THE TRUCK BEING TURNED OFF FOR THE COMPUTER TO RESET AND ALLOW TRUCK TO DRIVE NORMALLY. JUST WANTED TO DOCUMENT HERE SINCE TRUCK GOES BACK TO DEALERSHIP TOMORROW.
FOR OVER 2 YEARS NOW AN ISSUE WITH THE DRIVER TRAN MODULE HAS BEEN CAUSING MY TRUCK TO GO FROM ANY GEAR INTO FIRST, LOCKING TIRES UP AND CAUSING ISSUES WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. ** SAFETY RECALL WAS MADE ON DRIVER TRAN MODULE **. HOWEVER, MY TRUCK IS NOW IN WORSE CONDITION WITHOUT A FIX TO THE ISSUE, BUT MY TRUCK IS NOW SHUTTING THE ENTIRE COMPUTER MODULE DOWN AND I HAVE FURTHER TRANSMISSION ISSUES.
DRIVING VEHICLE AT APPROX 65MPH, ENGINE LOST POWER, ENGINE WRENCH LIGHT, ILLUMINATED, OIL PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, ENGINE SHIFTED TO 'LIMP MODE'. NO ACCELERATION. PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. WAITED 2 MINUTES AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. WAS ABLE TO GET HOME. TOOK TO CERTIFIED FORD DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. ISSUE OCCURRED TWICE MORE WHILE DRIVING TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. NEEDED TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY.
ELECTRIC VACUUM ASSIST PUMP FAILURES THAT RESULTING IN THE LOSS OF BRAKE POWER ASSIST'MAKING IT FAR MORE DIFFICULT TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. THIS VEHICLE HAS 39,000 MILES ON IT AND IT GIVES NO WARNING . I AM CONCERNED WITH INJURY OR A CRASH. THE DEALER STATES THIS IS NOT A CURRENT RECALL. I HAVE NOTICED THERE A SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND SOME CRASHES HAVE OCCURRED BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.

REAR WINDOW IN 2012 FORD F150 SUPERCREW CAB SHATTERED WHEN DRIVER'S DOOR CLOSED
The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-150. The contact stated that upon taking the vehicle to an independent mechanic to replace all four tires, he was informed that the lug nuts on all four wheels were fractured and swollen. The contact stated that the lug nuts were replaced. Additionally, the contact stated that the tachometer and the speedometer needle had detached. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

AFTER CONDUCTING AN INTERNET SEARCH, I FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE DEFROSTER CAUSING THE REAR WINDOW TO SHATTER.
THE 19S07 RECALL SERVICE WAS PERFORMED ON 3/19/19 AT BOB TOMES FORD MCKINNEY TX. TODAY, 3/20/19 THE DOWNSHIFT OCCURRED ON THE WAY TO WORK. I WAS TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH AND IT DOWNSHIFTED TO 1ST GEAR. I THOUGHT THIS IS WHAT THE RECALL WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX?
ON HWY 65MPH ACCELERATING SPEEDOMETER READING WENT TO ZERO, TRANSMISSION AUTO DOWNSHIFT. HAD TO PULL OVER RESTART AND THEN BOTH THE SPEEDOMETER AND TRANSMISSION WORKED. AFTER THIS SEVERAL STARTS THE SPEEDOMETER DOESN'T WORK AND TRANSMISSION WON'T SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR
