Driving down highway at 65 miles per hour the truck lurched forward and acted like it had a total loss of power. The speedometer dropped to 0 and stayed. The airbag light came on. The truck downshifted from 6 gear to 1 st gear instantly , throwing the truck into a slide. I lost control of it , went into a ditch came back up on the road as it proceeded to lurch forward and stop consistently like it was possessed ! I threw it into neutral and as the motor was redlining as well. The center info screen went blank and a wrench appeared on it to the right. I drove to my work in 3 rd gear and it shifted up to 5 th. But would not shift down up past that. I had it towed to the only dealer that worked on transmission recalls. I paid 65$ to have it towed. They did the reprogramming as per Ford. I got it back a month later. Worked great for 4 days then on my way to a tire rotation at 71 mph it did it again . Downshifted to 1 st. Violently. This time I almost got hit by a semi truck! Had it towed again , cost me 90$ this time. Same place. They got in a fix part for it some ring assembly that goes in transmission. Gonna cost me over 370$ for certain parts the recall won’t cover. We will see if this fixes it
Rear transmission lines broke / came apart Lost power to transmission both drive and reverse Currently at ford for repair; waiting for parts Yes, inspected at ford dealer and mechanic verified transmission lines broke / came apart No warning signs, happened ascending a 9-story parking garage in Chicago, transmission slipped when trying to get into parking space Parked, left trail of fluid, checked under hood and transmission fluid over ground, cowling, and radiator No warning signs at all, no lamps or messages, no symptoms until lines broke
The exhaust manifold bolts broke and warped the exhaust manifold. My vehicle only has 58k miles on it. This is something that should not have happened with the low miles. I am not the only case out there and should be covered by FORD. Thanks for viewing.
On several occasions my F150 2013 while driving this vehicle went from 6 th gear to 1st the last time this happened I was getting off an exit ramp at 45 mph and almost flipped my truck. Both recalls were performed on my truck in. 2019 . Ford motor company refused to fix my truck. They have extended the warranty on the part causing the problem for 10 years or 150,000 miles which my truck is under both.

Driving at a low speed, my steering wheel seemed to lock, mid turn. A message appeared on my display screen saying, "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT." I turned off the vehicle and restarted it, the message disappeared and all was fine. Aproximately 20 miles later, while climbing a steep grade, the message reappeared and steering became extremely difficult. I was able to get it to the side of the road at the top of the hill. The message has appeared ever since. I had to have the truck towed back to my residence. The safety issue is alarming due to the sudden inability to steer.
My Ford F-150 has an extended warranty recall of Transmission lead frame where by sometimes it doesn’t change gears and stays on one gear. Until July it started having issues and I went to a ford dealership who diagnosed it but been more than 3 months and they have refused to fix it. While driving my F-150 at around 55-65 mph. The vehicle slowed down suddenly with a large wrench displaying on the instrument panel causing the truck to swerve not allowing me to accelerate causing me to nearly lose control also. I had to pull to the curve and I switch it off. After restarting it I could resume driving. I did a research of what it was doing and found out it was a Safety Recall 19S07 for Certain 2011 - 2013 Model Year F-150 Vehicles Equipped with A 6R80 Transmission 6R80 Sudden Transmission Downshift - Powertrain Control Module Reprogramming. I took it to the Ford Dealership in which they said they fixed the issue only to have the same issue to continue. I took it back and now they say that they can't fix it because it is pass the recall time limit of 150,000 miles and I need to get a transmission. It started out doing it once a day, but now it is doing it 3 times a day. I only had this vehicle for 2 years never receive a recall letter. I 196,000 miles on the vehicle.
safety recall issued january 2020 19s07 pcm programming. 2/14/2020 vehicle pcm was reprogrammed. 2/01/2022 vehicle began having shifting issues. 5/19/2022 dealer reprogrammed pcm again, said no mil light on and no codes present so did not meet ctiteria for warranty under customer satisfaction program 19n01 because no codes stored, but according to tsb 16-0008 diagnostics codes may or may not be stored in the pcm! vehicle symptons got worse after 5/19/2022 pcm reprogramming. vehicle is back at dealership as of 7/6/2022.
I’ve went though 8 wheel bearings in the last 6 months on the drivers side tire alone. I’ve had to replace brake hoses every few weeks and I’ve had to take it to two different dealerships. Also it keep downshift from 6 gear to first with no warning. I’m afraid it’s gonna cause me to wreck.
I was driving my truck in north Georgia while towing a trailer under 5000 lbs. The truck was in cruis control at 68 mph and the truck suddenly down shifted from 5th to 1st. I got the truck off the interstate at a reduced speed since it wouldn't shift up. When this happened an orange wrench light came on. When I stopped I turned the truck off and the light went away. We fueled up and got on the road. Shortly after the truck did the same thing with dropping to first gear and felt like it lost power steering. We pulled over and detached the trailer. I then got back on the road and after getting off the interstate and to slower roads the truck did the same thing. Every time the truck did this it reset the lights on the dash. The truck then sat for 5 days with out being driven. On my way home the check engine light came on. On Sunday June 12th the truck was dropped off at banner ford in Mandeville louisiana. The mechanic advised that while the truck acted like the lead frame recall issues they will not do anything unless I can prove the truck did this. The proof is they need to have a code show up. However, every time it did this the wrench light went away when the truck was restarted. I was told by Ford that when this happens I need to drive the truck straight to dealer without turning it off. Since the dealer said they couldn't do anything I called the 1 866 Ford number. The CAS # with Ford is attached to this. There has been poor communication with ford toe through this. The dealer told Ford that I picked the truck up earlier this week but in reality I picked it up today because the dealer called me yesterday. The ford apparently the dealer mechanic never communicated with Fords mechanic to resolve my issue and told them I got my truck sooner.

Brake fluid was added to the reservoir however, the reservoir was empty the next day. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer and the contact was provided a diagnostic test fee. The contact then discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V345000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulics) which she linked to the failure. The contact brought the recall to the attention of a Service Manager who submitted a request to the manufacturer; however, the manufacturer denied the request. The vehicle remained in the dealer's possession unrepaired. The failure mileage was 133,951.
I'm not sure if it's the cruze control or just the the accelerator that is causing the problem. I'm driving along and then the truck kicks into high speed almost throwing me off the road. At times it's slow then it kicks in. Very scary.
Transmission suddenly downshifting and locked up rear wheels. I was almost rear ended going 45 with my kids in the truck. Took in for recall associated to this issue a few years back and they did a pcm reprogram that was supposed to fix this issue. Now I took it in and the replaced the lead frame under the recall. Got my truck back and got no more that 200yds from the dealership and it stuck in 2nd gear. Next stop light it stuck in 5th gear. This put my life in danger of getting into a wreck. I took it back 30 min later. Now they said I need a transmission due to this recall failing my transmission. I just forked out almost $4400. for a transmission. That failed to to ford covering up a transmission fault for years. No previous problems with my transmission. Service work completed at a Ford dealership. I feel ford should have replaced this transmission.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, the low brake fluid warning light illuminated. The contact added more brake fluid to the reservoir; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed with brake master cylinder failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 16V345000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 86,000.
The above vechile was taken to a Ford dealership when the trouble started with the transmission. Understanding the problem was and still related to the transmission, with the recall for reason for the recall. They took it in and "fixed" said problem. Now some 3 yrs later I still have the problems. They said they reprogrammed the computer on the transmission which they said was the problem. Which the recall stated that the Lead Frame was to be replaced. The truck does the following shifts rough from 3 to 4 gear, then will shift from 3 to 5th, back to 2nd, then to 5th gear then to 6th gear and then will at times go to 1st locking up the rear wheels in traffic. I cannot enough think about putting my granddaughter in the truck, with this happening. They (dealership) will not even look at the truck unless I pay $230.00. I need help. I tell them what it is doing and have a read out report from another shop and have video of the truck stuck in 3rd gear. I can only use the truck to drive 3 miles to work and back home before the transmission starts "acting" up. I cannot use the truck for what it was designed for. Now, I see that another recall maybe open for the same problems for 215 to 2024 vehicles. I need my truck to be a truck and not a big uber. Thank you, your time and attention to this matter. I am concerned about my family's safety as well as others on the road. I do not get on the interstate. I stay on the surface roads and back roads for my safety and the safety of others. Please reopen the past recall for the 2013. I am sure there are hundreds of trucks still having problems if the "Lead Frame" was not replaced or fixed. I have check engine and the wrench lights on my dash. Again, Thank you in advance for your help.06/01

Transmission shifts to 1st and locked up rear wheels AFTER the recall fix
I have a serious issue with my 2013 Ford F150 Limited. I almost had a horrible accident on I295 because of brake failure. Seems the brake fluid is leaking out and I didnt know this until I tried to brake and the pedal went all the way to the floor. Then the "brake fluid low" light came on. Upon Inspection after all the drama, got truck in a safe place, I checked and saw there was no fluid in reservoir. I filled it and pumped brakes a few times and pedal keeps going to floor then eventually it gained pressure..when I checked reservoir again, half of the new fluid was gone and truck was hard to stop again, So I had to tow it home. After taking to a shop I was told the fluid was leaking from master cylinder to the brake booster!! I then searched the internet, and discovered this is a common problem and Ford has a recall for this same exact issue my truck is having..Recall # 16V345000. Ford # 16S24. I then went to dealership to see if I can get fixed and was informed my VIN is not on the recall list and they wont fix. I called ford customer service and was told the same and also to contact NHTSA. So that is what i'm doing now.
May 18, 2022; Vehicle has 140,650 miles. My truck drove fine all day until It seems the like the transmission failed, it just kicked out of gear. The check engine light came on, as did the air bag light. The truck had no power, no fuel control, and seemed no transmission control. The first time, I was able to coast to a safe area, stop, and put the truck into park. It would not shift back into gear to proceed. I shut the vehicle off, and in park. Restarted and proceeded to continue, then it drove fine for less than 1/2 mile, and the check engine light and air bag light both came on again. The same problem occurred as before, no power and no transmission. I was able to coast to safety again, and shut the truck off again. Placed into park and restarted. Put into gear, and drove to a parts store about 1 mile away, with no problems, but I could feel the transmission hesitating to change gears. The parts store was unable to get any malfunction codes from the truck. We were able to drive the truck home without any other problems yet, 13 miles.
Engine oil continuously spills onto the engine, and it has caused engine failure. The check engine light and the oil reserve light will come on and it will cause a massive decrease in speed and even shut down. I was coming off the highway when it shut down last time almost causing a massive car accident. We have taken it to the ford dealership, but they told us that we would need a new engine.
The vehicle received the recall software update but I have still experienced sudden downshift to 1st gear on a few occasions. Also have intermittent failure of speedometer and shifting issues that resolve with shutdown and restart.

during routine service, was told lug nuts were very swollen and need replaced, which I did at Team Ford, Las Vegas, NV
This morning I was driving down the road and I heard a pop from the rear window. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the right side of the rear window was shattered. I thought it might have been something from the road, however I didn't see and visible evidence of something hitting the window. Not long before this happened I did turn on the rear defrost. After a Google search, I see the rear defrost has been a common problem for these trucks. Not cool because the window is $1000 to replace now!
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle downshifted to 1st gear. The contact pulled to the side of the roadway, turned off, and restarted the vehicle and the vehicle regained normal operation. The powertrain malfunction indicator light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission fluid was leaking fluid into the transmission main connector inside the transmission bounce shift and caused a short circuit in the transmission. The dealer informed the contact that there was a frame necessary to re-seal the connectors that needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the vehicle was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 167,000.
At times, the transmission will fail to shift up and the engine revs extremely high. Shutting down the engine and waiting sometimes clears this issue. The speedometer at the same time also stops working and the airbag light comes on.
I have a 2013 F150 3.5 L V6. I can be driving down the road and a truck will Stick and first second and third gear pull off the road park and turn it off then turn it back on then it’ll be fine Happens periodically but no warning lights come on and then I drove it the other day and it was stuck in third gear ,speedometer quit working ,mileage quit ,working the wrench light ,come on and then the check engine light come on.Been to the dealership twice and the first time they change out the plug block on the transmission said it was leaking that didn’t fix the problem then I took it back a week later and they said they couldn’t get it to do anything wrong now three months later it is starting To happen more frequently had code check P0721 Said it was the output shaft speed sensor can anything done to fix the problem . So I don’t have to keep spending money when I take it to the dealership where I bought the truck in August 2020 it came with a two-year bumper bumper warranty
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150 The contact stated that while her husband was driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle downshifted without warning. 237/75/17 tires. While at 60mph on highway, tire exploded in blowout.
Don Rich Ford performed recall # 19S07 on the transmission in my 2013 Ford F150 on 07/05/2019. In 2022 the transmission started downshifting to first gear just like the recent recall affecting the 2014 Ford F150's. Ford wouldn't cover it under warranty. They tried to reprogram it again. That did not fix the problem, so they repaired the transmission by replacing the lead frame and filter at Don Rich Ford in Vila Rica GA on 04/18/2022. This repair was covered on the 2011 and 2012 models, but they only extended the warranty on the 2013 models to 150,000 miles. I was just over this limit when the issues started happening and it was repaired at 155,137 miles at a cost to me of $885.69
The Output Speed Sensor has been failing multiple times since I had the recall remedied in September 2021. The codes p0720, p0721 and p0722 have been present, and it hadn’t been to much of an issue until it downshifted to first gear while going 60+ mph, causing me to temporarily lose control. Because of the downshift the engine redlined causing the 8th valve to fail. The dealership says I need a new engine and refuses to fix the transmission because my truck has a salvage title. They also claim that they can’t confirm that the transmission caused the engine to blow. They have since been giving me the run around. The salvage title was present when they did the remedy in September but now it is an issue and to my understanding they cannot refuse to fix a recall because of a salvage or branded title. This happened a month ago and they are still dragging their feet, leaving me with no vehicle and not a lot of options. I have read that fords first remedy was to reprogram the PCM, but the real cause is the OSS going bad and the real remedy is a replacement of the lead frame. I would like to know why they didn’t replace the lead frame the first time if it is proven to work. I feel as if I’m not the only one this has happened to.

The lower left hand corner of the passenger side rear window started to smoke and burn from the rear window defrost mechanism. Smoke was seen and the rear window defrost was turned off. The window then shattered. I had a child sitting in front of this area but no injury was sustained. I have not had the vehicle serviced for this issue at this time.
The truck went into limp mode and downshifted in to first gear dropping the speedometer needle to 0 and the tires locked up as i was on the toll going 80mph which was the speed limit almost causing me to slide under a semi truck
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH and 55 MPH, the transmission inadvertently downshifted to first gear, causing the vehicle to abruptly slow down. The contact almost lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. There were no failure codes retrieved and no service was performed. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was offered. The contact indicated that the vehicle was previously serviced under the Manufacturer Extended Service Campaign Number: 19N01 and NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V248000 (Power Train) however, the failure occurred. The failure mileage was 102,000.
Fuse for fuel pump keeps burning out causing engine to shutdown or not start at all. Smell wire burning smell when opening hood to check fuses. Am afraid this will eventually cause a fire in fuse box. Looked up videos on YouTube and it states that Ford recommends rerouting fuse port but this is electrical in nature and could cause a fire or perhaps other mechanical failures. I am not a mechanic nor do I have financial means to pay someone to reroute a bad fuse port which can eventually cause a fire.
I was driving with my cruise control set at 58 MPH at 5:45 AM this morning when I heard a loud "thunk", my vehicle decelerated rapidly, the speedometer dropped to zero then the engine revved up rapidly. I applied the brakes and the hazard signal to try to avoid an accident. This is not the first time such an event has occurred. Ford has CSA19S07 active on my vehicle but the local Ford dealership has told me my vehicle is not covered by this CSA. I have reported these incidents to Ford Motor Company with no resolution. My 2-13 F-150 has approximately 105,000 miles. I bought it new and have maintained it at Ford dealerships. Childre Ford in Sandersville, GA recently performed the 100,000 mile service.
