TRUCK WAS WARMING UP AND SOMETHING SMELLED LIKE AN ELECTRICAL FIRE AND SUDDENLY THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. CONTACTS FOR THE REAR DEFROSTER PULLED FROM WINDOW CAUSING ELECTRICAL ARCING THAT STARTED MELTING A PIECE OF PLASTIC CAUSING A HOT SPOT ON THE WINDOW THAT LED TO IT SHATTERING. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHILE THIS HAPPENED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED ANDALUSIA FORD, LLC (301 M. L. KING JR EXPY, ANDALUSIA, AL 36421, (334) 222-1103.) THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEED. DEALER FOUND FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT AND MODULE HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, PUT INTO PARK, THE KEY WAS REMOVED, THEN THE VEHICLE WAS LOCKED. UPON RETURNING TO THE VEHICLE THE VEHICLE WAS UNLOCKED, THE TAILGATE WAS LOWERED AND WE PROCEEDED TO LOAD A BULKY 70 (I'M GUESSING) POUND OBJECT INTO THE BED OF THE TRUCK. AS WE PUSHED THE OBJECT INTO THE BED OF THE TRUCK THE VEHICLE STARTED TO ROLL. IT WAS ROLLING MORE THAN JUST THE NORMAL FEW INCHES THAT A VEHICLE IN PARK CAN SOMETIMES ROLL. I JUMPED INTO THE DRIVERS SEAT (THE DOOR HAD BEEN LEFT AJAR) AND PRESSED THE BRAKE TO STOP THE TRUCK. THE KEYS WERE NOT IN THE IGNITION, THE GEAR SHIFT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. THE EXTRA PARKING BRAKE WAS NOT BEING USED. THE PARKING LOT WAS VERY LEVEL, THERE WAS NO SLOPE AT ALL. ONCE WE HAD THE OBJECT WE WERE LOADING SECURED WE PUSHED THE TRUCK AND IT WAS STILL ABLE TO BE MOVED. WE WERE FORTUNATE THAT THE OBJECT THAT WE WERE LOADING WASN'T HEAVY, BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY EASY TO HAVE AN OBJECT DROP DOWN ONTO THE PERSON(S) LOADING. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO ANYONE, THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES DAMAGED. WE JUST FELT THAT THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE REPORTED. MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATE MILEAGE WAS 39,824 IN JUNE ( 5 MONTHS AGO)AT LAST OIL CHANGE.
WHILE USING THE F 150 UP A HILL, I STOPPED IN TOP WHEN I TRIED TO CHANGE TO REGULAR DRIVE IT DID NOT WANTED TO CHANGE IT TOLD ME TO MOVE FORWARD IT DID NOT DO IT THE SECOND TIME FORWARD IT DID IT BUT THERE WAS A HUGE CLAN WHEN IT CHANGED. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IT DO IT ON THE SAME PLACE OR CONDITION.
REAR GLASS SHATTERED WHILE TRUCK SAT IDLE WARMING UP. BURNING ELECTRICAL SMELL AND SMOKE PRIOR TO GLASS SHATTERING. GLASS DEFROSTER WAS ON AT THE TIME, SMOKE DISSIPATED AFTER DEFROSTER WAS TURNED OFF.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE TRUCK LOSSES POWER AND THE SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC LIGHT COMES ON.. SHUT THE TRUCK OFF FOR A MIN THEN IT STARTS BACK UP
During driving the engine will shut down and the truck stops. Multiple engine lights will display on the dash expressing multiple systems fails. The wrench icon will display. The safety of others and myself were put at risk due to the truck shutting off during forward movement and putting everyone at risk of a rear end crash. Yes, the issue has be reproduced and confirmed through self driving and investigation into the issues via online UTube and Ford forums. The truck has been brought to a Ford dealership for inspection. The Ford dealership has stated the the aux trans pump has failed leading to a shut down in the system and presser build up in the engine leading to failure to valve covers and oil pan expansion. Currently Ford has a service bulletin for the oil pan and the related parts that must be replaced to fix the issues, however this is still at the cost to the public when Ford is aware of the issues that cause shut down to the engine. This is on a 2015 ford F-150 XLT, 4x4, 2.7 eco boost engine.
THE REAR DOORS ON MY TRUCK EITHER FREEZE SHUT, FREEZE OPEN OR OPEN WHILE I AM DRIVING. I HAVE DONE THE RECALL WORK FROM FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T CONTINUE TO DO RECALL WORK THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING VEHICLE AND DASH STARTED FLASHING "HILL START ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE", "SERVICE ADVANCED TRAC" AND THE WRENCH ICON STARTED DISPLAYING ON CONSOLE. VEHICLE VIBRATED HEAVILY SLOWED DOWN IN A "CRIPPLE" MODE NO MATTER HOW HARD GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED. SHE PULLED OVER, TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND WAITED 5+ MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING. IT RE-STARTED WITH ENGINE LIGHT LIT. IN ORDER TO GET IT TO DEALER, SHE HAD TO DRIVE APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES. VEHICLE DROVE OK FOR A BIT AND THEN EXHIBITED SIMILAR BEHAVIOR 4 MORE TIMES, INCLUDING ONCE GOING UP THE CONEJO GRADE BETWEEN CAMARILLO AND NEWBURY PARK WHERE A BIG RIG HAD TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID HITTING HER WHEN THE FORD F150 SUDDENLY AND UNCONTROLLABLY SLOWED DOWN. HAD THE SEMI DRIVING NOT BEEN PAYING ATTENTION, HE COULD HAVE EASILY HIT HER. FORD DEALER DIAGNOSED AS BAD THROTTLE BODY ON 11/2/2020 SAME VEHICLE HAD EXHIBITED BRAKE LOSS DUE TO FAULTY MASTER CYLINDER (NOW A RECALL) IN AUGUST OF 2019.
AFTER TURNING OFF THE WIPERS, THEY CONTINUE TO RUN INTERMITTENTLY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR SOME TIME.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 F-150 ON A CITY STREET AT 35 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY MY TRUCK LOST ALL ACCELERATION POWER AND BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO SHAKE AND SPUTTER AS I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALONG WITH TWO CODES TO 'SERVICE ADVANCETRAC' AND 'HILL DECENT CONTROL FAULT'. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF, THEN RESTARTED. IT SEEMED TO TAKE LONGER TO CRANK, BUT IT STARTED AND I PROCEEDED DOWN THE ROAD. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE WOULD REACH 35 MPH THE SAME SEQUENCE WOULD OCCUR WITH THE VEHICLE SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND LOSING ALL ACCELERATION POWER ALONG WITH THE SERVICE CODES FLASHING. I RESEARCHED MY PROBLEM AND READ STORY AFTER STORY ON THE INTERNET OF OTHERS WHO OWNED 2015 F-150'S WITH THE SAME EXACT ISSUE HAPPENING. I EVEN FOUND A RECALL FORD ISSUED: 16B32 FOR A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY, BUT WAS TOLD AT MY LOCAL FORD SERVICE CENTER THAT ALTHOUGH THE IDENTICAL THING HAPPENED WITH OTHERS, MY TRUCK WAS NOT LISTED UNDER THAT RECALL. I HAD TO PAY $500 OUT OF POCKET FOR THEM TO REPLACE MY DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY PLUS LABOR COSTS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE 2015 TRUCKS. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOMETHING DONE TO INCLUDE MORE TRUCKS LIKE MINE WITH SIMILAR ISSUES INTO THAT RECALL. I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING ALMOST $500 TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED. I'M JUST GLAD I WASN'T ON THE HIGHWAY OR PULLING MY CAMPER TRAILER. IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED OR BADLY INJURED BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM! PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE THIS HAPPENS!
ON ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, SINCE NEW, THE VEHICLE BRAKES ARE APPLIED WHEN PASSING AN 18 WHEEL TRUCK/TRAILER (SOMETIMES) CAUSING A RAPID 15-20 MPH HARD BRAKING DECREASE IN SPEED JOLTING AND SCARING THE OCCUPANTS OF THE FORD. NEARLY REAR ENDED SEVERAL TIMES. HAVE CONTACTED FORD BUT THEY DID NOT CARE NOR WERE THEY CONCERNED THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. VERY DANGEROUS GOING FROM 65 TO 45 WHILE PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE AND CARS ARE BEHIND ME. THIS IS A RANDOM OCCURRENCE MAKING IT EVEN MORE SCARY. THIS HAS HAPPENED TOO MANY TIMES TO COUNT SINCE 2015 AND I AM AFRAID TO USE THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL FOR FEAR OF BEING HIT FROM BEHIND ON THE HIGHWAY.
OIL PAN REPAIR WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. BEGAN LEAKING 17,000 MILES AFTER INITIAL WARRANTY REPAIR. TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS 71,000 MILES. 2ND ISSUE IS PAINT OVER WINDSHIELD IS PEELING. IT APPEARS TAPE WAS NOT REMOVED AND PRIMER DID NOT ADHERE.
TRUCK WAS GOING DOWN ROAD AT NORMAL SPEED AND IT LOST THROTTLE AND WENT INTO LIMP MODE. THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES. WHEN THIS HAPPENS WE HAVE TO PULL OVER, TURN OFF THE ENGINE AND THERE IS A WARNING LIGHT LITTLE WRENCH THEN DISAPPEARS. THE TRUCK GOES DOWN THE ROAD AGAIN FINE. THIS SITUATION IS PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU ARE ON A FOUR OR FIVE WIDE FREEWAY NEAR PHOENIX AREA AND IT HAPPENS. TRAFFIC IS MOVING AND WHEN IT HAPPENS YOU LOOSE ALL SPEED AND IF YOUR NOT ABLE TO GET OVER IT COULD BE VERY DANGEROUSE FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE VEHICLE ALONG WITH OTHERS BEHIND. WE HAVE BEEN GOOGLING THE PROBLEM AND IT APPEARS THAT MANY OTHERS ARE DEALING WITH THE SAME SITUATION. BUT WHEN YOU CALL FORD THEY AREN'T FAMILIAR OR THEY CAN REPLACE THE TROTTLE BODY PART AT AROUND 500.00. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR YEARS AND NOT SURE IF THEY HAVE EVERY FOUND A REAL SOLUTION OR REDESIGNED THE PART TO WORK CORRECTLY. COULD YOU PLEASE ADVISE ON HOW WE SHOULD GO FORWARD. HAVE YOU HAD OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70MPH, MY VEHICLE WENT LIMP, ABRUPTLY SHOOK AS I PULLED OVER TO THE SHOULDER TO AVOID A COLLISION. MY INDICATOR LIGHTS LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE..."HILL ASSIST", "SERVICE ADVANCETRAK" " THE "WRENCH" ADN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON. TERRIFIED, I GOT STOPPED, TOOK THE KEYS OUT AND HAD IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALER. THEIR DIAGNOSIS WAS THAT IT WAS A THROTTLE BODY FAILURE. MY SERVICE MANAGER REQUESTED THAT I CALL FORD CUSTOMER CARE. I DID THAT IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE DIAGNOSIS WITH MY REPAIR BEING ABOVE $650. AFTER A WEEK OF RESEARCH, FORD CAME BACK AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME OUT AT ALL. THERE ARE RECALLS FOR THE SPECIFIC PROBLEM INCLUDING AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 10 YEARS AND 150,000 MILES, HOWEVER I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD NOT RECEIVE ANY HELP FOR THE SAME PART. I EXPERIENCED A PREKNOW CONDITION WITH A PART ON MY TRUCK THAT WAS FAULTY WITH MYSELF TO BLAME. IF I HAD KNOWN ANY OF THIS I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED THE VEHICLE.
REAR GLASS ON ON F150 SIMPLY SHATTERED THIS MORNING WHILE CLOSING DOOR. IT WAS 45 DEGREES WITH NO WEATHER. IT JUST SHATTERED, NO IMPACTS, NO OBJECTS.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that since owning the vehicle, the oil pan had failed twice due to the bottom of the oil pan becoming soaked and saturated with oil. The contact stated that the first failure was covered under warranty; however, the contact was informed after the most recent failure that the warranty had expired. The contact stated that no warning lights had appeared on the instrument panel prior to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was given the same information as provided by the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
ENGINE HAS STALLED AND GONE INTO 'LIMP' MODE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS 4 TIMES IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS. HAVE TO PULL OVER AND TURN TRUCK OFF AND THEN ON TO RESUME NORMAL FUNCTION. GOT ERROR CODES ABOUT HILL ASSIST NOT WORKING WHEN TURNING THE TRUCK BACK ON. TOOK TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE FOUND NUMEROUS OTHER PEOPLE HAVING EXACT SAME ISSUE AND IT THE RESOLUTION WAS REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT MIGHT BE IT BUT DIDN'T WANT TO DIAGNOSIS IT AS THAT UNTIL THEY COULD REPLICATE. AGAIN VOICED CONCERN TO THEM THAT IF THE VEHICLE GOES INTO LIMP MODE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY THAT COULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THEY SAID THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE BUT APPEARS MULTIPLE OTHER MODELS AND YEARS HAVE HAD THIS RECALL ALREADY DONE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND APPLIED THE BRAKES, THE BRAKE PEDDLE WENT TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT ANY BRAKES BEING APPLIED. ALMOST HIT A FEW CARS AND DROVE OVER THE CURB. DOWNSHIFTED AND DEPRESSED MY E BREAK!!!! MY BRAKES DO NOT WORK. NO BRAKE FLUID EXTERNAL LEAKS ANYWHERE. BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR WAS 90% EMPTY. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LIGHT CAME ON. I FILLED BREAK FLUID RESERVOIR AND 10 BREAK PEDDLE PUMPS LATTER THE BREAK FLUID WAS GONE FROM BREAK FLUID RESERVOIR
BACK UP CAMERA ON MY 2015 FORD F-150 XLT GOES BLANK WHEN I GO INTO REVERSE AND SCREEN GOES FUZZY.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER. I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL BUT THE ENGINE WAS SPUTTERING AND THE TRUCK WAS SLOWING DOWN. I HAD TO QUICKLY PULLED OVER. SHUT THE ENGINE OFF, WAITED 5 MINUTES BEFORE STARTING IT AGAIN. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME, THE CODE WAS P2112 THROTTLE BODY ACTUATOR. IT HAPPENED SO QUICKLY WITHOUT ANY WARNING. I THOUGHT THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS. I WAS LUCKY TODAY THAT I WAS DRIVING ON THE RIGHT LANE AND ABLE TO PULL OVER. IF I WAS ON THE LEFT LANE ON THE HIGHWAY, I DON'T KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN WITH SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER.
LEFT FOR WORK, 44 DEGREES. TURNED REAR DEFROSTER ON, FOUR MILES DOWN ROAD HEARD A LOUD BANG OR POP SOUND. BACK WINDSHIELD HAD BASICALLY EXPLODED. DRIVING 50MPH. HAS A SLIDING GLASS WAS NOT BROKEN, BUT ENTIRE BACK WINDOW BURST
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP. THE CONTACT STATED AFTER DRIVING OVER A BUMP IN THE ROAD, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CONTINUED DRIVING TO HIS DESTINATION. AFTER DRIVING 30 MILES, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT TURNED OFF INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE EXITING THE VEHICLE HE STARTED TO SMELL ELECTRICAL FUMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JOE HALL FORD LOCATED AT 1617 21ST ST, LEWISTON, ID 83501, (208) 746-2391, AND THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V332000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 42,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 55 MPH (6TH GEAR), VEHICLE SUDDENLY DOWNSHIFTED TO 1ST GEAR. THE ENGINE'S RPMS REVVED AS THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DECELERATE HARD, RESULTING IN THE PASSENGERS EXPERIENCING A SUDDEN JERK OF THEIR NECK AND BODY. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAD NO RESPONSE. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 5 SECONDS I REGAINED RESPONSE FROM THE ACCELERATOR AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO UPSHIFT. A FEW MOMENTS LATER, THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE REPEATED WITH THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTING TO 1ST. THIS REPEATED A THIRD TIME. THE INCIDENT CAUSED SEVERAL NEAR-MISSES AS WE LOST POWER AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND BEGAN A RAPID DECELERATION WITHOUT NOTICE.
WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, CRUISE SET AT 55MPH, CAME OVER A HILL TO A CAR STALLED IN THE ROAD. I COULDN'T STOP, BOTH VEHICLES DECLARED TOTAL LOSS. DIRECT HIT, FRONT OF MY 2105 F150 TO THE REAR END OF A FORD FOCUS, APPROXIMATELY 40MPH. SEATBELT TIGHTENED AND LOCKED UP, LEFT BRUISES ACROSS MY HIPS, AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. HIT MY FACE IN THE STEERING WHEEL, BRUISED KNEES ON DASH.
I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AFTER DROPPING MY DAUGHTER OFF AND OUT OF NOWHERE I HEARD A VERY LOUD POP SOUND. I LOOKED IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR AND THE ENTIRE BACK WINDOW WAS SHATTERED. I WAS ON A MAIN ROAD. SMOOTH. GOING APPROX 40-50MPH. NO CARS WERE BEHIND ME. I PULLED OVER TO SEE IF IT WAS STRUCK BY A ROCK OR FALLING OBJECT... NO CLEAR IMPACT. IT WAS EVENLY SHATTERED ACROSS THE ENTIRE WINDOW. IT WAS ABOUT 65 DEGREES F. DEFROST WAS NOT ON AT THE TIME. SMELLED SIMILAR TO THAT BURNING SMELL AFTER AN AIRBAG DEPLOYS. I DROVE STRAIGHT TO A DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY NEVER HEARD OF THAT HAPPENING BEFORE "WOLTZ & WIND FORD, INC" IN PITTSBURGH. THANK GOD THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN WITH MY NEWBORN AND 2 YEAR OLD IN THE BACK. I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND THE NUMBER FOR SIMILAR STORIES ONLINE. FORD SHOULD ADDRESS THIS. IMAGINE IF I WERE DRIVING WITH MY KIDS IN THE WINTER ACROSS THE STATE AND THIS HAPPENED. WE TYPICALLY DRIVE THROUGH THE NIGHT. IT'S NOT SAFE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. I WANT FORD TO COVER THE EXPENSE TO REPLACE.
1) PASSENGER SIDE ENGINE EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAK, LOUD AT COLD START UP, DECREASES AS ENGINE WARMS UP. WHILE DRIVING A REDUCTION OF GAS MILEAGE OF 2 MILES PER GALLON HAVE BEEN OBSERVED, PERFORMANCE ISSUES TOWING TRAILERS. 2) PARKING BRAKES DO NOT HOLD VEHICLE SECURELY, IN FACT WITH BRAND NEW PARKING BRAKES FULLY SET ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR ONE CAN EASILY DRIVE AWAY.
On September 13, 2020, my father was driving his 2015 Ford F150, with me in the passenger seat. We were hit in a high speed head-on collision on I-55/I-240 in Memphis, TN by an oncoming driver, which killed both my father (the driver), and the oncoming vehicle driver, and I was taken to the hospital with injuries in critical condition. My father was extracted from the vehicle and taken to the morgue, but when I was able to return to the truck at the impound lot, I found no drivers side airbag in the truck. While EMTs informed me that the airbag was cut, it was odd that the airbag was not still in the truck. His cause of death was blunt force trauma, and if the airbag did deploy, it would have had to have been a part of the immediate fatality. If it did not deploy, it would also have been a factor. On the passenger side, where I had been, all airbags were still attached, but cut in order to extract me. In the days immediately following the accident, my lip was swollen from hitting the airbag, but there was also a piece of shrapnel lodged in my lip, confirmed by XRay, which later came out. I am concerned about both my father's fatality, and how the airbag deployed and what role it played in the fatality, as well as the injury of shrapnel getting embedded in my lip. I believe that the airbag could be a contributing factor in both issues.

DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 3 DIFFERENT TIMES WHEN ACCELERATION STOPPED AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME. FORTUNATELY TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT WHEN VEHICLE DECELERATED. I TOOK VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC AND HE HAD TO REPLACE THROTTLE BODY. HE GOOGLED PROBLEM AND SAW NUMEROUS TYPES OF SAME PART VEHICLE. CALLED MY FORD DEALER AND HE CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAD HAD TO REPLACE THROTTLE BODY ON CERTAIN MODELS BUT FORD HAD NOT YET ISSUED A RECALL NOTICE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO LOSE THROTTLE SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING. MY MECHANIC REPLACED PART, BUT FORD WILL NOT ADDRESS AS A RECALL ISSUE
I OWN A 2015 FORD F150 AND WHILE GOING THROUGH THE MCDONALDS DRIVE THROUGH, AT APPROX 5 MPH I LOST POWER STEERING UNABLE TO TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. ERRORS DISPLAYED ON DASH FOR ELECTRONIC POWER ASSIST FAULT, ADVANCE TRAC FAULT, HILL START ASSIST FAULT. ALSO NO CRUISE CONTROL. PULLED OVER IN AN EMPTY PARKING SPOT, SHUT DOWN THE TRUCK AND RESTARTED THE TRUCK, BUT THERE WAS NO CHANGE TO THE STRING. UNABLE TO DRIVE FURTHER, I HAD TO HAVE THE TRUCK TOWED TO NEARBY DEALERSHIP GREENWAY FORD IN ORLANDO. PER THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, THE STEERING CONTROL MODULE IS BAD AND WILL REQUIRE REPLACEMENT OF THE STEERING RACK. COST TO ME $1700. I PURCHASED CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED EXTENDED WARRANTY, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER STEERING RACK. I AM GRATEFUL WE WERE NOT DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, AS THIS COULD HAVE TURNED OUT HORRIBLY.

I NOTICED A SMALL ROUND PLASTIC PART ON MY DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR MAT THAT APPEARED TO BE A FLAT DISK BROKEN IN SEVERAL PIECES. SEE PHOTO. I DIDN'T THINK TOO MUCH ABOUT IT AT THE TIME. A WHILE LATER MY NEIGHBOR SAID MY BRAKES LIGHTS WERE ON AND MY TRUCK HAD BEEN PARKED FOR A QUITE SOME TIME. AFTER NOT BEING ABLE TO GET THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO GO OUT AND SOME INTERNET QUERIES I WAS ABLE TO DETERMINE AND CONFIRM THE SMALL PLASTIC DISK CAME OFF THE TOP OF THE BRAKE PEDAL WHERE IT WOULD MAKE CONTACT WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. AS SMALL OF A PART AS IT IS, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE AFFECTED AND THE HILL ASSIST FUNCTION WARNING WAS COMING ON AS WELL. AFTER CHECKING FORD DOES NOT SELL THE TINY PLASTIC DISK, WORTH ABOUT 5 DOLLARS, BUT WILL SELL THE ENTIRE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY FOR HUNDREDS. OTHER AUTO MANUFACTURERS SELL THE DISK CALLED A BRAKE PEDAL STOP PAD. THIS PROBLEM IS OCCURRING ON OTHER FORDS AS I WAS ABLE TO FIND EXAMPLES LIKE MINE ON THE INTERNET. THERE SHOULD BE A BETTER DESIGNED PART OR BRAKE PEDAL TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING.
MY FATHER WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN SEPTEMBER 2020, WHERE HE STRUCK A UTILITY POLE WITH THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BUMPER ON HIS TRUCK, CAUSING THE POLE TO BREAK. HIS TRUCK WAS TRAVELING AROUND 55 MPH ON A STATE HIGHWAY, WHEN HE SUDDENLY HAD TO AVOID HITTING A TRUCK THAT BRAKED IN FRONT OF HIM, CAUSING MY FATHER TO SWERVE TO THE RIGHT. HIS TRUCK WENT THROUGH A DITCH BEFORE IT CAME TO A STOP WHEN IT STRUCK THE UTILITY POLE. THE AIR BAG IN THE STEERING WHEEL CAME OUT BUT FAILED TO INFLATE AND MY FATHER HIT HIS HEAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL. HE SUFFERED WITH INJURIES WHICH INCLUDED BLEEDING ON THE BRAIN AND HAD TO BE AIR LIFTED TO A TRAUMA HOSPITAL AND HAD TO BE PUT IN ICU!! HE'S STILL UNDER THE CARE OF HIS DOCTORS
FRONT LEFT MOUNTING BOLT ON THE DRIVERS SEAT FELL OUT CAUSING THE SEAT TO ROCK BACKWARDS WHILE IN MOTION. ROCKING IS WORST AT TIMES OF ACCELERATION OR BRAKING.
MY 2015 HAD ROUGHLY 75,000 MILES WHEN A NOTICEABLE VIBRATION/RMUMBLE COULD BE FELT NOT ONLY BY THE DRIVER AT THE WHEEL BUT IN ALL PASSENGER SEATS OF A F-150 SUPER CREW. THE SPEED WAS IRRELEVANT,AND ON HIGHWAY OR IN CITY, THE VIBRATION WAS NOTABLY APPROXIMATE IN TIME BWTWEEN VIBRATION AND DURATION. UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY MY FORD DEALER DIAGNOSED THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND THE VEHICLE IS NOW IN FOR REPAIR WHILE I HAVE A FORD LOANDER. WE WILL SEE IF THIS FIXES THE PROBLEM TODAY IS 6 OCT 2020.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 94, IN MINNESOTA, I APPLIED MY BRAKES TO SLOW MY VEHICLE DOWN FOR A CONSTRUCTION ZONE. IN DOING SO, A WARNING ON MY DASHBOARD APPEARED SAYING, "BRAKE FLUID LOW". AT THAT TIME, MY BRAKE PEDAL WENT RIGHT TO THE FLOOR, DRASTICALLY EFFECTING MY STOPPING ABILITY. MY EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS NEEDED TO STOP MY VEHICLE. AS I TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHERE THE BRAKE FLUID WAS GOING, I WAS UNABLE TO FIND A LEAK. WITH MORE RESEARCH, I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKING FLUID INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER, MAKING THE FRONT BRAKES ENTIRELY INOPERABLE. I HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTING TO GET MY VEHICLE FIXED, AND OR REPLACED WITHOUT ANY LUCK.
LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD AND ONLY 82,000 MILES ON MY 2015 F150, THE VEHICLE IS INOPERABLE BECAUSE OF AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE BETWEEN THE GAS PEDAL AND THROTTLE BODY. WHILE DRIVING MY 2015 FORD F150 ON A CITY STREET AT 45 MILES PER HOUR THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION, RMP DROPPED TO BARELY 2 AND HILL ASSIST DISABLED LIGHT CAME ON. GLIDED TO A RED LIGHT, PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, CAME TO A STOP AND KEPT THE GAS LIGHTLY PRESSED HOPING TO KEEP POWER TO THE ENGINE. WHEN LIGHTED TURNED GREEN PUT TRUCK BACK INTO DRIVE AND ACCELERATION RETURNED. PARKED AT MY PLACE OF BUSINESS. SHUT THE TRUCK OFF BUT THE BRAKE LIGHTS STAYED ON. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE OF CONCERN TO DRIVE IT AFTER LOSING ACCELERATION (TOW TRUCK DRIVER CALL THE VEHICLE IN LIMP MODE). THE DEALERSHIP FOUND NOT FAULT CODES BUT DID FIND PLASTIC PIECES ON THE FLOOR BOARD. DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A "BROKEN BRAKE PEDAL" - A SMALL PLASTIC DISC (GROMMET) INSIDE THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY BROKE INTO PIECES CAUSING LOSS F ACCELERATION, THE ELECTRONIC MESSAGING SYSTEM TO DISABLE HILL ASSIST AND THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO REMAIN ON. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAVE SEEN THIS IN FORD FUSIONS BUT NOT IN AN F150. THE NEW BRAKE ASSEMBLY IS A TOTAL REDESIGN FROM THE THE ONE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS BUILT WITH. THE IMAGE ON THE LEFT IS THE BROKEN BRAKE ASSEMBLE (THE FINGER IS POINTING TO THE DAMAGED ITEM), THE PART ON THE RIGHT WHERE YOU WILL SEE THE SMALL WHITE DISC (GROMMET) IS THE REPLACEMENT BRAKE ASSEMBLY. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW IN 2015 AND HAVE BEEN THE ONLY OWNER. MY VEHICLE HAS 54K MILES, IS DRIVEN LOCALLY, NOT USED TO TOW OR OFF ROAD AND IS GARAGED WHEN NOT IN USE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED AS OF YET. THE VIN WAS ASSOCIATED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V332000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
MY TRUCK ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WAS DRIVING THAN IMMEDIATELY LOST POWER AND SHUT OFF AFTER SENDING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEM REPLACING THE THROTTLE BODY IT WAS STILL DOING THIS WITH A RATTLE NOISE. IT GOT TO THE POINT WHERE MY TRUCK AT 52,000 MILES DID THIS EXACT THING AGAIN AND BLEW WHITE SMOKE AND A HOLE NOW IS IN THE OIL PAN.
MOVING MY TRUCK INTO LANE OF TRAFFIC OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY; WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BOARD AND THE ON BOARD NOTIFICATION SYSTEM ON THE DASH STATED "LOW BRAKE FLUID" AND I HAD ALMOST NO BRAKING CAPABILITY. I HAD NO INDICATION OF THIS PRIOR TO THAT AND IF I HAD NOT APPLIED MY EMERGENCY BRAKE ON I WOULD HAVE ENTERED THE LANE OF TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES WERE COMING FROM BOTH DIRECTIONS AND IT VERY EASILY COULD HAVE TURNED INTO AN MVA WITH INJURIES SUSTAINED BOTH IN MY TRUCK AND PERSONS DRIVING ON MY STREET. I STILL HAVE NO BRAKES AND I HAVE FILLED MY RESERVOIR WITH DOT 4 BRAND NEW BOTTLE OF BRAKE FLUID.
WHEN I APPLIED BRAKE PEDAL IT WENT TO THE FLOOR . I DROVE TO FORD DEALER IMMEDIATELY AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM. IT HAPPENED AGAIN BEFORE I GOT HOME. FORD SERVICE TECHNITION SAID THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FOR THIS PROBLEM.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH with cruise control activated, while approaching a parked dump truck, the vehicle applied the brakes independently. The contact stated that there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated he experienced the failure on three separate occasions. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the dealer was made aware of the failure. The contact stated he also experienced the vehicle overheating and engine failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V614000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
MY TRUCK WAS SERVICED WITH COMPLETE FLUIDS AND SYSTEMS CHECK ON JULY 2ND, 2020 REPORTING EVERYTHING IN THE GREEN CHECK ZONE. SATURDAY AUGUST 1ST, 2020 WHILE RETURNING FROM A FAMILY TRIP, THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON INDICATING A BRAKE PROBLEM. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED TO ENSURE THAT THEY WERE WORKING AND WHEN APPLIED, THERE WAS NO BRAKING POWER AND THE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. WHEN WE WERE FINALLY ABLE TO STOP WE ROLLED INTO A GAS STATION AND OPENED THE HOOD TO CHECK THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL AND IT WAS EMPTY. SO WE PURCHASED TWO BOTTLES OF BRAKE FLUID TO REFILL THE RESERVOIR THINKING THAT MAYBE THE SERVICE PERSON FORGOT TO REFILL THE BRAKE FLUID. ONCE WE FILLED THE RESERVOIR AND PUMPED THE BRAKES A BIT THEY GOT TIGHT SO WE GOT BACK ON THE ROAD. AS SOON AS WE PULLED ONTO THE ROAD AND BEGAN TO DRIVE THE BRAKE WARNING SIGNAL CAME ON AGAIN. AGAIN, WE PULLED OVER TO CHECK FOR LEAKS, WHICH THERE WERE NONE. AND AGAIN, THE BRAKE RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY. AGAIN WE PURCHASE MORE BRAKE FLUID AND ADDITIONAL BOTTLES AND REFILL THE RESERVOIR TO THE FILL LINE. WE DROVE AROUND THE PARKING LOT QUITE A BIT BEFORE WE DECIDED TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD DUE TO THE VEHICLE SEEMING TO FUNCTION NORMALLY. AT THIS POINT WE ENTER THE HIGHWAY AND DROVE TO OUR AREA NEAR THE DEALER. WHEN EXITING THE HIGHWAY A GREAT DEAL OF SMOKE CAME FROM THE BACK OF OUR CAR THAT SMELLED LIKE BRAKE FLUID. WE PULLED OVER AND AGAIN THERE WAS NOTHING LEAKING. WE STILL SEEMED TO HAVE SOME BREAKING ABILITY SO DROVE THE TRUCK TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP TO PARK IT FOR THEM TO TAKE A LOOK AT TO DO REPAIRS. UPON DOING SOME RESEARCH I SAW THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY JUST ANNOUNCED THE BEGINNINGS OF A RECALL ON JUNE 6 FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM ON THIS YEAR VEHICLE.
