MY REAR CAMERA WORK SOMETIMES. WHEN BACKING UP IT SHOWS A VERY DISTORTED IMAGE, UNABLE TO VISUALIZE WHAT IS THERE WHILE BACKING UP. THE REAR SENSORS ARE WORKING. A FORD DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED FOR APPROXIMATELY $6,000.00
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION GOING ABOUT 5 MPH WHEN THE BRAKES FAILED WHEN I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING SPOT AT THE PHARMACY ON 8/17/19. I HAD TO USE THE PARKING BRAKE TO COMPLETELY STOP WHEN PARKING THE TRUCK AND THEN ONCE STOPPED THE LOW BRAKE FLUID WARNING CAME ON. THEN I DROVE TO AN AUTO PART STORE THAT WAS A 1/4 OF A MILE DOWN THE ROAD AND PUT MORE BRAKE FLUID IN AND DROVE HOME, BUT ONCE I WAS HOME THE BRAKE FLUID TANK WAS EMPTY. I PUT MORE IN AND FOUND A PUDDLE OF BRAKE FLUID COMING OUT OF THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP AND THEY STATED THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED.
MY TRUCK WAS BEING REPAIRED FOR LIGHT FRONT END DEER HIT. THE TECHNICIAN WAS BACKING MY TRUCK INTO THE CLEANUP BAY AND THE BRAKES FAILED COMPLETELY. ANOTHER TECH HAD TO MANUALLY STOP THE TRUCK FROM ROLLING. I CONTACTED MY DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEIR IS NO RECALL FIR THIS YEAR AND I WAS STUCK PAYING THE BILL. 40 YEAR FORD GUY SERIOUSLY LOOKING INTO DODGE. I CAN'T HAVE THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY JEOPARDIZED.
ALERT - ALERT I WROTE BEFORE ABOUT TROUBLE WITH THE 2015 FORD F150 STALLING OUT WHILE DRIVING. I MECHANIC TOOK OURS OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE AND IT DID THE SAME FOR HIM ON THE INTERSTATE. PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE DIES OR HAS SEVERE INJURIES DUE TO VEHICLE STALLING AT RANDOM AND FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I AM JUST GLAD HE WASN'T PASSING ON A 2 LANE ROAD OR PULLING A TRAILER. I CAN'T BELIEVE FORD HAS NOT ADDRESSED THIS - IT'S ON YOU TUBE. THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF SPEEDING UP - IMAGINE YOU HAVE YOUR KIDS, ETC IN THE TRUCK, IN THE MIDDLE OF A MAJOR INTERSTATE WITH CARS ALL AROUND YOU AND YOU STALL OUT COMPLETELY. PLEASE, PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. IT ONLY HAPPENS IN MOTION.
2015 F150 - WITHOUT WARNING - DRIVING AT 30 MPH ON A ROAD AND THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. HILL ASSIST CAME ON ALONG WITH SKID ANTI-SWAY MOTION AND A WRENCH APPEARED IN THE INDICATOR LIGHT. TRUCK WOULD NOT MOVE. I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND STARTED IT BACK UP AND IT RAN UNTIL I REACHED 45 MPH ON A 4 LANE MAIN ROAD AND THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AND I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE AND RESTART AGAIN. THIS IS A VERY HAZARDOUS SITUATION ESPECIALLY IF I HAD BEEN ON AN INTERSTATE WITH MULTIPLE LANES. I AM SURPRISED FORD HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL ON THIS MATTER. IT HAPPENED SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ASAP - I HAVE SEEN POSTINGS WHERE OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.
SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER BUT ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING AT A VERY ROUGH IDLE. ZERO THROTTLE RESPONSE. THIS HAPPENED WHILE PULLING A 30 FT CAMPER IN DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I WAS ABLE TO SHUT THE TRUCK OFF AND RESTART IT TO CLEAR THE CODE BUT IT CONTINUED TO HAPPEN. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE I'VE FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM CAUSED BY THE THROTTLE BODY AND SENSOR. THERES RECALLS OUT FOR MULTIPLE F150 TRUCK MODELS BUT APPARENTLY MINE WAS MADE AT A TIME THAT WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. FORD HAS A BIGGER PROBLEM THAN THEY ARE ADMITTING TO AND THEY ARE PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES IN DANGER BY DOING SO. I REACHED OUT TO FORD BECAUSE I WANTED THEM TO DOCUMENT THAT THERES A PROBLEM IF THEY WEREN'T GOING TO FIX IT. THEY RECOMMENDED I REPORT IT TO THE NHTSA. I NEARLY GOT HIT MULTIPLE TIMES BECAUSE OF A FAULTY SENSOR THAT COSTS LESS THAN $300 TO REPLACE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND THAT THE BRAKE FLUID CONTAINER WAS EMPTY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO CHAPMAN FORD (9371 ROOSEVELT BOULEVARD, PHILADELPHIA, PA 19194, (855) 864-7604) WHERE THE BRAKE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE FLUID BOOSTER ASSEMBLY, AND MASTER BUSHING WERE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,595. *BF*JB
THE PLASTIC AROUND THE FORD EMBLEM BOTTOM SIDE OF THE COLUMN AIR BAG IS CRACKED. I'M CONCERNED THAT THIS MIGHT AFFECT THE SAFE OPERATION OF THE BAG, ALLOWING MOISTURE TO ENTER INTO ST SEALED SYSTEM. ALSO THE CRACKED PLASTIC IS VERY SHARP
MY F150 WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY TAKING A LEFT LONG SHARP CURVE I FEEL A TIGHTEN STICKING FEELING ON THE STEERING WHEEL SLIGHTLY MOVING RIGHT ON THE STEERING WHEEL, I'VE BEEN NOTICING IT MORE FREQUENTLY IN THE PASS FEW WEEKS
WHILE DRIVING ON A MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY (~7000 FT ELEVATION) IN COLORADO, MY 2015 FORD F150 SUDDENLY LOST SPEED AND VIBRATED WILDLY BEFORE STALLING COMPLETELY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. WHILE STOPPED, THE TRUCK CONTINUED TO VIBRATE. VARIOUS WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED (CHECK ENGINE, HILL ASSIST NOT WORKING, CHECK MANUAL, ETC.) AND I HAD TO TURN OFF MY TRUCK AND RE-START TO PULL OFF THE ROAD. THE PROBLEM HAPPENED 3 MORE TIMES WITHIN 2 HRS BUT THIS TIME I WAS ABLE TO TRACK ADDITIONAL METRICS (BUT I MOVED OVER TO A SECONDARY ROAD WITH LITTLE TO NO TRAFFIC) TO RELOCATE TO A SAFE LOCATION. THE 3 ADDITIONAL STALL EVENTS WERE TRIGGERED BETWEEN RPMS OF 1000 AND 2000. AS I APPROACHED 2000 RPMS AND/OR CLIMBED A SLIGHT HILL, I COULD FEEL THE TRUCK BEGIN TO LOSS THROTTLE AND IF I DID NOT BACK OFF ON THE GAS PEDDLE, THE TRUCK WOULD STALL. I AM HAVING MY TRUCK TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP BUT I AM AT 36,747 MILES AND JUST BEYOND MY WARRANTY. I CONSIDER THIS A VERY DANGER SYSTEM FAILURE FOR A LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE.
DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY WHEN TRUCK IMMEDIATELY LOST POWER, BEGAN SHAKING VIOLENTLY, WITH NO THROTTLE/ACCELERATION AVAILABLE. THE DASHBOARD WAS SHOWING ALL THE BELOW ERRORS. HILL DESCENT CONTROL FAULT SERVICE ADVANCETRAC HILL START ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WHILE DRIVING AROUND A CURVE, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND AND DROVE OFF THE ROAD. THERE WAS NO CRASH OR PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE AND DROVE HOME SAFELY. THE CONTACT SELF-DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER FAILED. FREESTONE FORD (LOCATED AT 1201 US-84, FAIRFIELD, TX 75840, (903) 389-4186) WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE AND NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
I PURCHASED MY 2015 F150 ABOUT A YEAR AGO. THERE IS A TSB FOR A VALVE ON THE TOP OF THE GAS TANK. TSB STATES EMISSION RELATED WITH WARRANTY COVERED. FORD STATING IT WAS BUILT IN CANADA SO DON'T HAVE TO WARRANTY IN AMERICA. VEHICLE CUTS OUT AFTER STOPPING AND THEN ACCELERATING. HOW CAN FORD SELL A VEHICLE TO BE USED IN AMERICA WITH A KNOWN ISSUE AND NOT BE LIABLE? THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. TSB 15-0171 ENGINE CODE P2450.. PART NUMBER INVOLVED IS SAME ON CANADA OR AMERICAN VEHICLES.
2015 FORD F-150 3.5 ECOBOOST 47900 MILES. STARTED MY TRUCK WHICH WAS STATIONARY, LOW RESERVOIR LIGHT CAME ON AND BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR, TOTAL FAILURE. LOOKED FOR EXTERNAL LEAK AND FOUND NONE. ADDED DOT 4 FLUID TO FILL LINE AND WATCHED IT DISAPPEAR. HAD MY TRUCK TOWED TO MY FORD DEALER AND THEY VERIFIED BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKING INTO BRAKE BOOSTER. 1500 DOLLAR REPAIR. DEALER SAID UPGRADED PARTS WERE INSTALLED BUT NOBODY WANTED TO DISCUSS THE FAILURE. COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE I I WAS HEADED TO THE MOUNTAINS TODAY.
RUPTURED BRAKE LINE. PEDAL WENT SOFT TO FLOOR, LUCKILY HAPPENED AT A STOP LIGHT.
VEHICLE HAD A SUDDEN AND NEAR COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKE CAPABILITY. THE SUDDEN FAILURE WAS NOTED ABOUT 1 HOUR AFTER PREVIOUS, IN WHICH THE VEHICLE HAD NO ISSUES AND NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ACTIVE. BRAKE PEDAL WENT DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND THE "LOW BRAKE FLUID" LIGHT CAME ON AND WAR NING SOUNDED FROM THE CONSOLE. BRAKES PROVIDED MINIMAL RESPONSE AND LARGELY HAD TO SLOW DOWN BY COASTING. NO EXTERNAL LEAKS WERE VISIBLE FROM THE VEHICLE NOT DID ANY OF THE BRAKE LINES APPEAR TO BE DAMAGED. WHEN I CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD, THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVE WAS BELOW THE "MIN" LINE. TOPPING IT OFF WITH BRAKE FLUID IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AND THE LEVEL WENT BACK TO BELOW "MIN" AFTER ABOUT A 4 MILE DRIVE. TAKING VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP THIS EVENING TO ASCERTAIN CAUSE OF SUDDEN FAILURE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHEN THE ENGINE WAS STARTED, THE CONTACT PROCEEDED TO LOAD THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED A STRONG FUEL ODOR. THE CONTACT CHECKED UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND FOUND FUEL ON THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK'S PLASTIC CONNECTOR WAS UNPROTECTED, WHICH CAUSED THE FUEL TANK PLASTIC CONNECTOR TO FRACTURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,600. *AS *TR
SUDDEN BRAKE LOSS. WARNING LIGHT SAYING BRAKE FLUID LOW. FILLED UP RESERVOIR. IT WAS EMPTY AGAIN WITHIN THE HOUR. NO SPILLS OR POOLS ON THE GROUND UNDER MY TRUCK.I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE BRAKE FLUID WENT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE VEHICLE, BUT THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE LOW BRAKE FLUID MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE MESSAGE CENTER. THE CONTACT WENT TO THE NEAREST PARTS STORE AND PURCHASED THE APPROVED BRAKE FLUID. HE FILLED THE RESERVOIR AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A CRACKED BRAKE LINE AND THE FLUID WAS LEAKING, WHICH NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN DEPRESSED. THE DRIVER HAD TO DOWNSHIFT AND APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP THE VEHICLE. MOMENTS BEFORE THE FAILURE, "LOW BRAKE FLUID" WAS DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TAYLOR FORD (13500 TELEGRAPH RD, TAYLOR, MI) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK BRAND NEW FROM THE DEALER 8-2015. AS OF AUGUST 1, 2019 THE TRUCK STATED VIBRATING BETWEEN 50 MPH AND 75 MPH WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAYS. I AM GETTING A VIBRATION FROM WHAT APPEARS TO BE MY DRIVE AXLE. IT IS MOST PROMINENT WHEN LETTING OFF THE THROTTLE AND COASTING FROM 75 MPH TO 50 MPH. YOU CAN FEEL IT IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND YOU CAN ALSO HEAR IT.
THE REAR SLIDING WINDOW BOND HAS LOST ITS ADHESIVE. WHILE DRIVING THE WINDOW STARTED TO BLOW IN CAUSING THE DEBRIS TO BLOW INTO MY CAB. FORD HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO REMEDY MY COMPLAINT.
WHILE DRIVING THE 2015 F150 3.5 LITER 6-CYLINDER WITH 17,000 MILES ON A CITY STREET AT 30MPH, THE BRAKE FLUID LIGHT ILLUMINATED. WITHIN THE NEXT MILE THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A TOTAL FAILURE OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM; THE RED BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE PEDAL WENT COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR. USING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND LOW GEAR, I WAS ABLE TO NARROWLY AVOID CRASHING INTO STOPPED VEHICLES AHEAD OF ME. THE FORD DEALERSHIP'S MECHANIC INITIALLY DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AS A FAILED BRAKE SENSOR. REPLACING THE SENSOR, HOWEVER, FAILED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. AS I NOW UNDERSTAND IT, THE BRAKE BOOSTER SEALS WERE RUINED BY A LEAKING MASTER CYLINDER ALTHOUGH NO FLUID WAS EVER SEEN UNDER THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THIS EVENT.
I WAS DRIVING IN A RESIDENTIAL STREET AND SUDDENLY GOT A 'LOW BREAK FLUID' WARNING LIGHT. UPON PARKING ON MY DRIVEWAY THE BREAK PEDALS WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, AND I HAD TO USE MY EMERGENCY BREAK IN ORDER TO AVOID COLLISION WITH MY GARAGE.
WE WERE DRIVING WHEN THE BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND SUDDENLY WE LOST ALL BRAKING ABILITY. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT DOWN TO THE FLOOR WITH BARELY ANY BRAKE FUNCTION. WE WERE ON A BACK ROAD GOING OVER 50 MPH AND BARELY GOT THE VEHICLE STOPPED. WE GOT ADDITIONAL BRAKE FLUID AS THE RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY. WE REFILLED IT AND BEGAN DRIVING AGAIN. WITHIN ABOUT 3 MILES, ONCE AGAIN THE BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE PEDAL WENT DOWN TO THE FLOOR AGAIN GIVING US VERY LITTLE BRAKING ABILITY. WE WERE 30 MILES FROM THE NEAREST TOWN....WE BARELY MADE IT IN TO TOWN. OUR VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY WITH A MECHANIC (WE ASKED FOR HIM TOP PROVIDER US PICTURES) AS WE ARE STRANDED OVER 300 MILES FROM HOME.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2015 FORD F150 THE BRAKES FAILED. FIRST THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT CAME ON, I ADDED BRAKE FLUID AND EVERYTHING APPEARED TO BE NORMAL. I WENT TO PULL MY TRUCK INTO MY GARAGE AND THE BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. I ALMOST WENT THROUGH THE WALL INTO MY HOUSE. MY LOCAL SERVICE STATION STATED THAT THE FORD F150 2013 & 2014 HAD RECALLS ON THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND THE BRAKE VACUUM BOOSTER PUMP. MY MECHANIC STATED THAT THE REAR SEAL WENT AND CAUSED ALL THE FLUID TO LEAK OUT.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 70 mph with the adaptive cruise control engaged and traveling under an overpass the brakes would engage slowing the vehicle down abruptly. The contact stated that after passing the overpass the set speed would resume. The contact stated that the forward collision warning audio and visual would illuminate. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or independent mechanic for diagnosis or repairs. The contact stated that he disengaged the adaptive cruise control feature. The contact researched the failure and found NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V614000 (Forward Collision Avoidance) and was relating it to the failure. The contact stated that his vehicle was not included in the recall as it was manufactured in September of 2015 after the recall manufactured date of March 18, 2014, to August 6, 2015, for affected vehicles. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The contact stated that Ford informed him that he would receive a recall notice if the recall was extended and the VIN was included. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
ON VACATION AND OUT OF TOWN...WAS DRIVING MY FORD TRUCK AND "LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT" APPEARED. PULLED IMMEDIATELY INTO FIRST PARKING LOT WALMART STORE. CHECKED FLUID AND FOUND RESERVOIR WAS LOW. WENT INTO WALMART TO PURCHASES BREAK FLUID. NONE AVAILABLE. PUSHED ON BRAKE TO START TRUCK AND BREAK WENT TO FLOOR. CALLED AAA AND TOW TRUCK TOOK MY TRUCK TO UNIVERSITY AUTO REPAIR. DIAGNOSIS WAS MASTER CYLINDER MALFUNCTION ALL ALL BREAK FLUID BACKED INTO BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY CUASING BREAKS TO FAIL.MY MAJOR CONCERN WAS I JUST PULLED AMTRIALER FROM PHX,AZ TO FLAGSTAFF,AZ ON INTERSTATE RT I-17. NOTE: THIS STREACH OF ROAD OVER 100 MILES IS MOUNTAINESS WITH 6% GRADES. IT HORRIFIES ME TO THINK IF I WOULD HAVE LOST BRAKES GOING UP AND DOWN THIS INTERSTATE FROM AND TO HOME. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A HORRIFIC FATILITY GIVEN THE FACT THAT FROM THE TIME THE LOW BRAKE FLUID LIGHT CAME ON AND MINTUES LATER I LOST MY BREAKS. EVEN AFTER HAVING MY TRUCK BRAKES REPAIRED, I WAS VERY NERVOUS DRING DOWN THE I-17 INTERSTATE BACK TO MY HOME IN PHOENIX. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO HAVE FEAR OF BREAKS FAILING. RESEARCHING,I HAVE FOUND MASTER CYLINDER AND BREAK BOOSTER ASSEMBLY FAILED ON PREVIOUS YEARS FOD F 150 MODELS. 2014 MODEL BEING THE MOST RECENT.
RANDOMLY THE HILL START ASSIST CONTROL ERROR WOULD COME UP. ADDITIONALLY, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC ERROR WOULD COME UP AND THE TRUCK WOULD GO INTO SOME SORT OF LIMP MODE WITH NO ACCELERATION ALLOWED. FINALLY, THE TRUCK STARTED RUNNING REALLY ROUGH. ALL THESE THINGS WOULD HAPPEN WHILE I WAS IN MOTION AND OR TURNING. I HAVE BEEN BROKEN DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY 4 SEPARATE TIMES NOW. EVERYTHING IS REALLY RANDOM AND CAN'T BE REPLICATED. IT'S DONE THIS ABOUT 10 TIMES NOW AND THE DEALER HAS NO IDEA HOW TO FIX IT. MY TRUCK HAS BEEN THERE FOR OVER A WEEK WITH NO REMEDY.
WHILE IN MOTION, AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ON A HIGHWAY AND SOMETIMES SLOWER SPEEDS ON TOWN STREETS TOO, MY TRUCK WOULD SUDDENLY START FLASHING MULTIPLE ERRORS AND THE THROTTLE WOULD IMMEDIATELY BE UNRESPONSIVE. IN 1 SECOND I WAS DEAD IN THE WATER. THE TRUCK WOULD IMMEDIATELY START SLOWING DOWN DUE TO LACK OF PROPULSION AND THE ENGINE WOULD HAVE A VERY LOW ROUGH IDLE. THE THROTTLE WOULD NOT WORK AT ANY SPEED. THE ONLY WAY TO RECOVER CONTROL OF PROPULSION WAS TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP RIGHT WHERE THE PROBLEM OCCURRED (VERY DANGEROUS), TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND THEN RESTART THE VEHICLE. AFTER RESTART THE PROBLEM WOULD COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR. UNTIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS PROBLEM APPEARED 3 TIMES IN 1 WEEK, ALL WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING UPHILL. I WAS LUCKY TO NOT BE IN TRAFFIC AT THE TIME. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPORTED THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW THROTTLE BODY, AND THAT THIS ISSUE WAS COMMON AND THAT A RECALL WAS NOT IN PLACE. THE REPAIR COST IS OVER $500.

THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF ANY WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND WAS COVERED IN BLOOD AND THE CONTACT HAD A KNOT ON THE BACK OF HER HEAD WHILE IN HER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT IMMEDIATELY CLEANED OFF HER HUSBAND FOR CUTS ON BOTH HIS LEGS AND ARMS. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND WAS LATER TREATED AT A HOSPITAL FOR A BROKEN BACK AND RIBS. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AS A RESULT OF THE ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FIESTA FORD, INC.(78990 VARNER RD, INDIO, CA 92203) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED TOTALED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE WITH THE FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT LINKED THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V332000(SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC); HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. ENGINE GOES INTO LIMP MODE ON THE ROAD, STREET OR HIGHWAY WITH NO WARNING. ENGINE SHUTS DOWN. DEALER INSTALLED NEW THROTTLE BODY FOR THE THIRD TIME!
COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKES. RECEIVED A LOW BRAKE FLUID WARNING. FLUID WAS BELOW MINIMUM. TOPPED OFF WITH DOT 4 FLUID AND RESUMED DRIVING. BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED WITHIN A FEW HUNDRED FEET WITH A COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKES AND THE WARNING LIGHT FOR LOW FLUID AGAIN AND TOTAL LOSS OF BRAKES. IMMEDIATELY USED THE PARKING BRAKE IN ORDER TO KEEP FROM HITTING 4 CARS STOPPED IN FRONT OF US. WE USED THE PARKING BRAKE TO SAFELY PULL OVER ON THE HIGHWAY ENTRANCE RAMP
I WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREETS WHEN THIS HAPPENED. MY 'BRAKE FLUID LOW' LIGHT CAME ON AND A FEW MINUTES LATER I LOST ALL BRAKE POWER. THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. AFTER GETTING THE VEHICLE TO MY DEALER, THEY DETERMINED THE BRAKE CYLINDER HAD FAILED AND THE BRAKE CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE ATTACHED THE DEALER INVOICE SHOWING THE REPAIRS, TO REPLACE THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER, WHICH TOTALED $1,068.52.
COMPLETELY LOST BRAKES WHILE PULLING A CAR TRAILER AND CAR ON HIGHWAY. NO LEAKS, BUT MASTER CYLINDER COMPLETELY DRY. REFILLED AND WENT 20 MILES AND EMPTY AGAIN. MASTER WAS LEAKING FLUID INTO BOOSTER AND BEING SUCKED INTO ENGINE AND BURNING IT. HAD TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND DOWNSHIFT TRANSMISSION TO STOP. TRUCK WAS TOWED TO FORD FOR REPAIR. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE WOULDN'T HELP WITH REPAIR UNTIL THEY ARE TOLD TO RECALL THEM BY GOVERNMENT. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED. BRAKES WERE GONE IN AN INSTANT

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE UNTIL THE FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS COME ON WITH LOW FLUID WARNING; LOST BRAKING WHEN PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR SHORTLY THEREAFTER WHEN I WAS ON EXPRESSWAY. I AVOIDED ACCIDENT BARELY. I KEEP ADDING FLUID, BUT NO SIGN OF LEAKING THAT I CAN SEE, BUT GETTING WHITE SMOKE FROM EXHAUST . VERY DANGEROUS!
THIS TRUCK EXPERIENCED SUDDEN AND COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE ON FRIDAY 7/19/19. LUCKILY, THIS OCCURRED IN A PARKING LOT, AND THE TRUCK ONLY HIT A CURB. OUR TRUCK WAS TOWED TO BOB DAVIDSON FORD IN PARKVILLE, MD FOR REPAIR. THEY DIAGNOSED FAILURE OF THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKING ONTO AND DAMAGING THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THIS TRUCK HAS THE 3.5 LITER ECOBOOST ENGINE. FORD ISSUED A RECALL FOR BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER & BRAKE BOOSTER FAILURES FOR 2013 & 2014 F150'S WITH THE SAME ENGINE. WHY HAS THIS FAILURE OF BRAKE MASTER CYLINDERS & BRAKE BOOSTERS NOT BEEN EXTENDED TO THE 2015 F-150'S WITH THE SAME ENGINE? THIS OBVIOUSLY SEEMS TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE PREVENTED AND PAID FOR BY FORD.
FAILED THROTTLE BODY, WITH TROUBLE CODES P 2112 . TRUCK STARTED STALLING RARELY WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. IT WOULD IDLE ROUGH AND NOT TAKE GAS. THE CONTACT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE HIMSELF AND FOUND THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER RELEASED THE BRAKE FLUID INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V345000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,628.

THIS ISSUE WAS SUBJECT TO A RECALL FOR EARLIER MODEL YEARS, HOWEVER NOT FOR 2015 MODEL YEAR. ISSUE CAUSES STARTLE OR DRIVER AND LOSS OF CLEAR VISION.

I HAVE EXPERIENCED AN EGREGIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE WHEREAS THE BRAKING SYSTEM HAS FAILED. THIS MORNING WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE TO BRING MY TWO KIDS (3 YRS OLD AND 12 MONTHS OLD) TO DAYCARE, MY DASHBOARD INDICATED "BRAKE FLUID LEVEL LOW." WHILE I CONTINUED TO DRIVE, I ASSUMED PERHAPS THE BRAKE FLUID MAY NEED TO BE TOPPED OFF FOR WHATEVER REASON. HOWEVER, TO MY SURPRISE- ABOUT A MILE FURTHER I DISCOVERED THAT THE BRAKES WERE INOPERABLE AND I IMMEDIATELY PANICKED. I TOOK IT UPON MYSELF TO GET TO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY AND ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO COME TO A ROLLING STOP AND INCH TOWARD THE NEAREST EXIT. FEARING FOR THE LIVES OF MYSELF AND TWO CHILDREN, I FURTHER INCHED TOWARD THE NEAREST PARKING LOT (BURGER KING) WHERE I COULD HAVE MY FAMILY REMOVED FROM HARM'S WAY. THE BRAKES ARE TOTALLY UNUSABLE AND WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOORBOARD. THERE IS NO PRESSURE OR RESISTANCE AS THE BRAKES WOULD PRESENT THEMSELVES WHEN WORKING PROPERLY. I REFUSE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE WITH THIS ISSUE AND AM NOW DEMANDING SAFETY RECALL. MY VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BUTCH OUSTALET FORD OF GULFPORT, MS ON 7/12/2019. MY SERVICE ADVISOR, ZACH KUNZ, ADVISED THAT THE BRAKING SYSTEM HAS INDEED FAILED. SPECIFICALLY, THE SEAL ON THE MASTER CYLINDER BECAME DEFECTIVE AND CAUSED THE BRAKE FLUID TO SPILL INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THIS WAS A SUDDEN AND TOTAL FAILURE OF THE BRAKING SYSTEM. I WAS FURTHER ADVISED THAT THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY AND THAT TEH REPAIR COSTS WERE UPWARDS OF $900. I AM NOW STUCK PAYING $900 FOR A PROLIFIC SAFETY DEFECT WHERE FORD'S FAILURE ALMOST CAUSED FATALITY OF MYSELF AND CHILDREN. I AM DEMANDING THAT THIS BE PLACED ON MANDATORY RECALL, AT THE EXPENSE OF FORD MOTOR COMPANY. CURRENT MILEAGE: 90758
I STARTED MY TRUCK TO BACK OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND WHEN I WENT TO PRESS THE BRAKES THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH THE TRUCK ALMOST RUNNING INTO MY NEIGHBOR'S CURB. I PULLED BACK IN MY DRIVE WAY AND AGAIN THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR BARELY STOPPING THE TRUCK. I CHECKED THE BRAKE RESERVOIR BUT IT WAS FULL AND NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. HAVING TOWED TO DEALER, APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY 7/15/19.

FORD DEALERSHIP UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE ISSUE YET CONTINUALLY REOCCURS. NOT SAFE TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE ISSUE CAN BE CORRECTED. A SEARCH OF THE INTERNET REVEALED NUMEROUS SIMILAR ISSUES OCCURRING IN FORD TRUCKS.
