2016 FORD F150 WITH 23,400 MILES & 23 MONTHS IN SERVICE. THE BACK GLASS (REAR WINDOW) SHATTERED WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK. THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35 DEGREES F AND I HAD USED THE REMOTE START FEATURE WHICH TURNS ON THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER. I STARTED DRIVING AND HAD JUST PULLED OUT OF THE PARKING LOT WHEN I HEARD THE SOUND OF THE GLASS CRACKING. I PULLED OVER AND TOOK PICTURES. I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP AND TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR INSPECTION. THEY TOOK PHOTOS AND SUBMITTED TO FORD MOTOR COMPANY FOR WARRANTY CONSIDERATION. IT WAS REJECTED. IT APPEARS THAT THE EITHER THE REAR WINDOW OR THE REAR DEFROSTER IS DEFECTIVE. I HAVE SEEN SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE AND BELIEVE THAT THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING AND IF IT DOES, IT NEEDS TO BE COVERED BY WARRANTY. THANK YOU.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F150. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V652000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH MARYSVILLE FORD (15900 SMOKEY POINT BLVD, MARYSVILLE, WA 98271, (360) 659-4000) ON THREE DIFFERENT DATES AND WAS ADVISED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE THE RECALL REPAIR. ON APRIL 2, 2017, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR LATCHES FAILED AND THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE IN SIX MONTHS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT OIL WAS LEAKING ONTO THE OIL PAN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MOCKS FORD-LINCOLN-MAZDA (913 SE 6TH STREET, GRANTS PASS, OR 97526, 541-476-6656) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL PAN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE SYMPTOMS RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD DOCUMENT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED APPARENTLY THERE IS A DESIGN/MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH THE OIL PAN. IT LEAKS CONSTANTLY AND I'VE SEEN VIDEOS WHERE THE OIL DUMPS SEIZING THE ENGINE OR PUTTING IT IN "LIMP MODE". THEY HAVE TRIED 2 DIFFERENT REPAIR PROCEDURES THAT DON'T WORK. UPDATED 10/17/18*JB
TRUCK WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY FOR 30 MINUTES AND HEARD A LOUD POP. REAR WINDOW SHATTERED FOR NO REASON. WAS PARKED IN SHADE AND TEMPERATURE WAS MID 70S.
2.7 L ECOBOOST COOLING SYSTEM FAILURE. AT 56000 MILES. FORD DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT PROVIDE EXACT DETAILS OR SPECIFIC DIAGNOSIS ON COOLING SYSTEM FAILURE. FORD DEALERSHIP GAVE ME THE ONLY OPTION TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE COOLING SYSTEM.
THERE WAS A RECALL ON DOOR THEY FIXED IT BUT IT DID NOT WORK DOOR STILL SHACKS AND HAS COME OPEN WHILE DRIVING 2 TIMES
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED 70 MPH ELECTRIC EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGED WITHOUT WARNING CAUSING SUDDEN AND SUSTAINED LOSS OF SPEED. SHORTLY AFTER TRUCK WAS PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD REAR BRAKE AREA WAS NOTED TO HAVE BURNT ODOR EMITTING FROM THE AREA. FURTHER ATTEMPTS TO EVACUATE THE VEHICLE FROM THE ROADWAY WERE UNSUCCESSFUL AS THE VEHICLE REAR WHEELS INTERMITTENTLY LOCKED UP WHILE THE TRUCK WAS IN FORWARD MOTION.
I HAD MY TRUCK TOWED TO AUTO FAIR FORD AND HAD TO HAVE THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED WITH $100 EXTENDED WARRANTY AND THE CAR IS A YEAR OLD. AFTER FIXING IT THEY WERE HAVING ISSUES WITH IT NOT STARTING AND CALLED FORD TO TROUBLE SHOOT THE ISSUE. TODAY 3/2/18 THEY CALLED TO SAY A MOUSE OR RODENT CHEWED THROUGH THE WIRING. I HAVE LIVED I'M MY HOME SINCE 1999 AND MANY CARS IN THE DRIVE WAY THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. MY BROTHER SAID THE WIRING IS SOY BASED. I CALLED LIBERTY MUTUAL INSURANCE AND COMPREHENSIVE HAS A $500 DEDUCTIBLE. THEY WILL LOOK AT THE TRUCK 3/5/18 AT AUTO FAIR FORD IN MANCHESTER NH. I NOW HAVE TO PAY$600 TO A VEHICLE I HAVE OWNED LESS THEN 5 MONTHS TO AUTO FAIR FORD. SEEMS ODD THIS IS HAPPING ON A NEW VEHICLE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD ABNORMAL RATTLING NOISE EMERGING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE LEAF SPRINGS WERE DETACHED AND CAUSED THE NOISE. AN UNKNOWN LOCAL DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER A RECALL OR WARRANTY. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
REAR WINDOW BREAKING WITH OUT BEING IMPACTED BY ANYTHING. I WAS TRAVELING AND THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED. I PULLED OVER AND INSPECTED THE WINDOW AND SAW NOTHING THAT LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN IMPACTED. WHEN I TOUCHED THE GLASS IT COMPLETELY FELL APART. THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC WHERE I WAS TRAVELING.
AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING A COLLISION! COLLISION OCCURRED WHEN THE OTHER VEHICLE MADE A LEFT TURN IN FRONT OF MY TRUCK. MY VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING 50-55 MPH ON THE 2 LANE ROAD. THE COLLISION WAS A "T-BONE", AGAIN, NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. REQUEST A WRITTEN RESPONSE TO THIS COMPLAINT.
THE RIGHT PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT SHUT, ALSO THE LEFT PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER FROM WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND WAS TOLD THERE IS A BACK ORDER ON PARTS WITH NO KNOWN TIME FRAME WHEN THEY WILL RECEIVE THE PARTS. RECALL NUMBER IS 17S33/ NHTSA RECALL 17V-652. THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO OPERATE DUE TO THIS CONDITION.
IN A FEW DEGREES BELOW FREEZING LOCKS AND LATCHES WILL NOT WORK!! MOST OFTEN YOU WILL BE FORCED TO BUNGEE DOORS TOGETHER TO DRIVE. IN MY CASE IT IS A SCREW AND IT IS ALMOST ALWAYS THE DRIVER'S DOOR. IT HAS BEEN FIXED WITH THE LATEST FORD REPAIRS AND STILL CONTINUES TO FAIL. MANY MANY OF US ARE SUFFERRING WITHOUT A FIX FROM FORD!!
SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WITH LOCAL DEALER IN RESPONSE TO RECALL NOTICE 17S33 REGARDING DOORS THAT MAY NOT OPEN OR CLOSE WHILE DRIVING (NHTSA RECAL # 17V652. UPON ARRIVAL AT DEALER, WAS ADVISED THAT THEY RAN OUT OF PARTS AND THAT I WOULD BE CALLED WHEN PARTS BECAME AVAILABLE. AS OF TODAY, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CALLS. NEED TO KNOW IF FORD HAS TRULY RUN OUT OF PARTS FOR RECALL, AND WHETHER VEHICLE CAN/SHOULD BE DRIVEN IN THIS CONDITION.
DOOR LATCH WON'T CLOSE IN THE COLD, STUCK OPEN.
TRUCK WILL IDLE ROUGH AND STALL PERIODICALLY GIVING A CHECJ ENGINE LIGHT AND WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, IN THE STREET OR MAKING TURNS ANY TIME THAT THE RPM IS CLOSE TO 500 (IDLE). MAKES WAITING FOR TURNS DANGEROUS AS THE TRUCK MY UNEXPECTEDLY TURN OFF WHILE MOVING. 3 DEALERS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE STARTED AT 29,000 MILES AND HAVE BEEN THROWN AROUND UNTIL 40,000 MILES NOW. THEY REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE MY COMPLAINTS AND THIS TRUCK ISNT VERY SAFE TO DRIVE.
SINCE I PURCHASED MY TRUCK THERE HAS BEEN ISSUES WITH THE BACKUP CAMERA. THE DEALER REPLACED THE APIM AND HAD TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FOR THREE WEEKS TO TRACE A BAD WIRE. IT HAS BEEN 10 MONTHS AND THE CAMERA HAS FAILED AGAIN. I FEEL AS IF THIS IS A WIDER SPREAD ISSUE. FORD EVEN EXPANDED THE WARRANTY FOR THE PREVIOUS YEARS APIMS.
WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE AT FREEZING, DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE. WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID ALSO FREEZES EVEN THOUGH RATED FOR -40 DEGREES. REPAIR WAS MADE BY FORD TO DOOR LATCH BUT PROBLEM CONTINUES. TYPICALLY, CAR HAS BEEN PARKED IN COLD WEATHER. SEE JOB #2 ON ATTACHED DOCUMENTATION FOR LATEST REPAIR ATTEMPT. MANY COMPLAINTS FROM CUSTOMERS ON FORUMS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE!!!!
WASHER FLUID FREEZING WITHIN THE LINE BETWEEN THE BOTTLE AND SPRAY NOZZLE. ALTHOUGH WE ARE USING WHAT IS RATED AS -27 DEGREE FLUID, THE LINES ARE FREEZING WHEN THE TEMP DROPS TO AROUND 13 DEGREES. THIS HAS CAUSED A REAL SAFETY HAZARD ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASION WHEN TRYING TO WIPE AWAY SALT SPRAY AND ALL THAT HAPPENS IS THE WINDOW SMEARS AND I HAVE HAD TO PULL OFF THE ROAD, GET SNOW OFF THE GROUND TO HELP CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD. I KNOW TWO OTHERS THAT HAVE THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL AND THEY EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING. FORD HAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN AVAIL TO THEIR TECHNICIANS TO ADDRESS THE SITUATION (TSP 16-0082) BUT I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN A RECALL OF THESE VEHICLES.

THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER (LANDERS FORD, 2082 W POPLAR AVE, COLLIERVILLE, TN 38017, (901) 854-3600) CONCERNING A RECALL FOR THE AIR BAGS AND THE DOOR LATCHES, THE DEALER PROVIDED A DATE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT THREE WEEKS OUT. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V652000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) BUT WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER FOR THE AIR BAG RECALL AS THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WILL FAIL TO LATCH PROPERLY OR WILL POP OPEN WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK IN JANUARY 2018.
WHEN THE OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW FREEZING, THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID WILL NOT SPRAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED ALMOST EVERY TIME IS GETS COLD. I HAVE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THE NOZZLES ARE CLEAR AND THAT THERE IS PLENTY OF WASHER FLUID. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TRYING TO DRIVE WHEN YOU CANNOT CLEAR THE SALT OFF YOUR WINDSHIELD TO SEE. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER OR NOT THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR AT A STAND STILL.
FORD F-150 DOOR LATCH RECALL - 17S33 / NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V652 EXPERIENCED PROBLEMS OF DOORS NOT LATCHING DURING COLD WEATHER. (BOTH FRONT AND BACK DOORS WERE AFFECTED). RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE IN OCTOBER 2017, IN JANUARY 2018 MY LOCAL DEALER HAD THE UPDATED PARTS FROM FORD AND PERFORMED THE RECALL REPAIR. THE REPAIR DID NOT FIX ANYTHING. STILL EXPERIENCE DOORS NOT LATCHING DURING COLD WEATHER. GENERALLY VEHICLE IS STATIONARY IN THE DRIVEWAY AS I ATTEMPT AND GET IT TO LATCH. OFTEN MAKING ME LATE. HOWEVER, ONCE WHILE IN MOTION THE DRIVERS DOOR FLEW OPEN WHILE DRIVING TO WORK AFTER I BELIEVED IT TO BE CLOSED AND LATCHED. THIS IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS. SMALL CHILDREN RIDE IN THIS VEHICLE. FORD HAS NOT OFFERED ANY REPAIR OPTIONS TO DATE.
SECOND COMPLAINT REGARDING FREEZING DOOR LATCHES CAUSING DOORS TO NOT LATCH SHUT AND OPEN WHILE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. TRUCK HAS BEEN SERVICED 3 SEPARATE TIMES, WITH LATCHES, RODS, & RAIN SHIELDS INSTALLED/REPLACED UNDER TSB (NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RECALL SINCE TSB HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED). CONTACTED MANUFACTURER'S CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE AND REPRESENTATIVE APOLOGIZED AND STATED THEY HAVE RECEIVED MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND SHE DIRECTED ME TO THE MANUFACTURER'S VEHICLE BUYBACK DEPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE BUYBACK DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE AGAIN CONFIRMED THEY HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS, SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND THEY WOULD REVIEW MY WARRANTY HISTORY TO DETERMINE IF A BUYBACK WAS APPROPRIATE. AFTER 1 WEEK, THE BUYBACK DEPARTMENT CONTACTED ME AND STATED THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLE DESPITE THE SAFETY CONCERN IDENTIFIED. THE REPRESENTATIVE DIRECTED ME TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU'S AUTO HOTLINE LISTED IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL TO CONSIDER ARBITRATION PROCEEDINGS. THIS SAFETY CONCERN (DOORS OPENING WHILE OPERATING AND DOORS FREEZING SHUT) HAS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED BY 1) THE DEALER, 2) THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, AND 3) THE BUYBACK DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE, YET NO SOLUTION HAS BEEN ACHIEVED DESPITE MULTIPLE REPAIR ATTEMPTS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 FORD F-150. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS ON VACATION, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE IN THE DRIVEWAY. THE CONTACT'S CHILD WAS AT HOME, SAW THE VEHICLE ON FIRE, AND CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE TOTALED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
ON JANUARY 22 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 11:00 P.M., I STARTED MY TRUCK WITH THE REMOTE START, WHICH ACTIVATES THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER, AS NEEDED. ON MY 20 MILE RIDE HOME FROM WORK, MOSTLY FREEWAY DRIVING, I HEARD CRACKLING NOISES, AND I WAS WATCHING IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR, MY ENTIRE REAR WINDOW SHATTERING, EXCEPT FOR THE CENTER POWER SLIDING PIECE. WHEN I GOT HOME, PIECES OF GLASS FELL INSIDE THE CAB AND BED WHEN I CLOSED THE DOOR. FORD IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, BUT THEY REFUSE TO REPAIR IT. IN THE MEANTIME, I AM FORCED TO PAY $500 DEDUCTIBLE FOR MY INSURANCE TO REPAIR IT, EVEN THOUGH I HAD PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WHEN I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. IT HAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000 MILES ON IT NOW. RESEARCHING THIS PROBLEM, I BELIEVE IT IS A DEFECT IN THE GLASS, CAUSING IT TO SHATTER WHEN THE DEFROSTER WARMS UP THE GLASS.
DOOR DOES NOT LATCH AND OPENS WHILE DRIVING. RECALL 17S33. DEALER KEEPS GETTING INCORRECT REPLACEMENT PARTS FROM FORD -- THE SAME PARTS THAT WERE DEFECTIVE. REPEATED CALLS TO FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE GET A CASE NUMBER CAS 14003124 AND COMMENT THAT THEY WILL REFER IT TO THE DEALER (WHO IS FRUSTRATED AND STATES THAT THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE TAKEN UP WITH FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE DEALER ALSO CLAIMS THAT THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH NUMEROUS OTHER CARS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.
MY PURCHASED MY NEW TRUCK IN MARCH 2016, OWNED IT FOR 22 MONTHS AND IT CURRENTLY HAS 22.235 MILES. THE TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN OFF-ROAD OR EXPOSED TO ROAD SALT. WHILE GETTING MY TIRES ROTATED AT DISCOUNT TIRE ON JANUARY 20, 2018, THE MANAGER NOTIFIED ME THAT THE LUGS NUTS COULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE DUE TO "SWELLING" OF THE LUG NUT OUTER COVER. THE OEM DESIGN IS A STEEL CORE NUT WITH A PRESSED CHROME OR ALUMINUM CAP OVER IT. THE LUG NUTS SWELL OVER TIME AS WATER AND CORROSION DEVELOP BETWEEN THE LUG NUT AND COVER. DISCOUNT TIRE HAD TO USE MULTIPLE SIZE SOCKETS TO REMOVE AND REINSTALL THE LUG NUTS DUE TO NON-UNIFORM SWELLING OF COVERS ON THE LUG NUTS. THE FOLLOWING DAY I STOPPED AT COSTCO TO CHECK LUG NUT TORQUE AND THE TECHNICIAN MADE THE SAME COMMENT ABOUT SWELLING AND SEEING A LOT OF FORD VEHICLES WITH THE SAME ISSUE. BOTH STORES STATED THAT THEY ARE REPLACING LUG NUTS WITH NEW TIRE PURCHASES OR ROTATION ON AFFECTED FORD VEHICLES WHEN THE LUG NUTS ARE DAMAGED. ADDITIONALLY, THE COSTCO TECHNICIAN INFORMED ME OF A "CLASS-ACTION" LAWSUIT THAT WAS FILED IN 2017 FOR THE SAME ISSUE. I RESEARCHED THE CLASS ACTION AND FOUND THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION. JOSH WOZNIAK ET AL. VS. FORD MOTOR COMPANY, CASE NUMBER 2:17-CV-12794 IN THE U.S. DISTRICT COURT FOR THE EASTERN DISTRICT OF MICHIGAN. ON JANUARY 22, 2018, I DROPPED OFF MY TRUCK AT MY LOCAL FORD DEALER FOR VARIOUS WARRANTY ISSUES AND ASKED THAT THE LUG NUTS BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY DUE TO SWELLING. THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER AND ADVISOR VERIFIED THE PENDING LAWSUIT, BUT REFUSED TO REPLACE THE LUG NUTS UNDER WARRANTY. MY SERVICE TICKET STATES " FOUND LUG NUTS ARE DAMAGED DUE TO IMPROPER SOCKET USED DURING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION." DISCOUNT TIRE STATED THAT THE STORE WOULD NOT SERVICE MY VEHICLE AGAIN WITHOUT REPLACING THE LUG NUTS DUE TO IMPROPER LUG NUT SIZING AND SOCKET FITMENT.
WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY HIGHWAY WITH NO WARNING MY F-150 LOST POWER. WHEN THIS HAPPENED THE DRIVE POWER DECREASED BY ABOUT 95%, AND WARNINGS APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. THESE WARNINGS INCLUDED: SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC, HILL DESCENT FAULT, SEE MANUAL, AIRBAG FAULT, AND THE SERVICE WRENCH. THE ENGINE IDLED ROUGHLY AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TURNED OFF. WE RESTARTED AND THE SAME ISSUES OCCURRED SO WE PARKED THE VEHICLE.
ONE COLD MORNING THE DRIVERS DOOR WOULD NOT SHUT AND LATCH. I WAS FORCED TO DRIVE 30 MILES TO WORK ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE DOOR FLOPPING OPEN EVERY TIME I SLOWED DOWN. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD ESPECIALLY IF CHILDREN ARE INVOLVED. I CAN'T BELIEVE AN AUTO MANUFACTURE CAN SELL A VEHICLE WHERE THE DOORS WILL NOT STAY CLOSED. NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS I WILL TAKE A VIDEO OF THE DOOR NOT CLOSING.
MY REAR WINDOW EXPLODED IN MY 2016 F-150. I STARTED THE TRUCK WITH THE REMOTE STARTER AND LET IT RUN FOR 10 MINS.. WHEN I GOT IN THE AND PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION THE BACK WINDOW EXPLODED LEAVING A HOLE ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE SHATTER. THE MIDDLE PART IS STILL WHOLE.
I HAVE CONTACTED GUS JOHNSON FORD NUMEROUS TIMES TO HAVE MY RECALLS FIXED THEY ALWAYS TELL ME THEY ARE ORDERING THE PARTS. THIS STARTED OVER A YEAR AGO IN THE WINTER WITH MY DOOR UNABKLE TO CLOSE. I NEED MY RECALL FIXED ASAP

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000.
DOOR LATCHES WERE FREEZING AND RENDERING MY VEHICLE UNSAFE AS THE DOOR WOULD OPEN, BUT THEN NOT SHUT. FORD HAS ISSUED A RECALL AND I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO KENNY ROSS FORD IN ADAMSBURG, PA TO HAVE THE RECALL WORK PERFORMED. ON 1/2/2018, KENNY ROSS FORD INDICATED THAT THEY PERFORMED THE RECALL FIX. HOWEVER, ON 1/13/2018, MY DOOR ONCE AGAIN FROZE IN THE OPEN POSITION AND WOULD NOT SHUT. THIS WAS AFTER MY VEHICLE HAD THE FORD RECALL PARTS INSTALLED. I'M CONCERNED THAT FORD ISN'T TAKING THIS SAFETY HAZARD SERIOUSLY. I'M INTERESTED TO HEAR WHAT MY BEST COURSE OF ACTION IS TO HOLD FORD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS UNSAFE CONDITION. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ROCHESTER FORD (4900 US-52 ROCHESTER, MN 55901, (507)-288-7564) WHERE THE DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL BEARING WAS REPLACED SIX TIMES. THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT ONLY THE FORD F-150'S EQUIPPED WITH THE FOUR WHEEL DRIVE 4A AUTOMATIC SYSTEM WERE EXPERIENCING THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.

TOLD BY 2 DEALERSHIPS THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, LOANERS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, AND RENTALS ARE NOT COVERED BY RECALL OR WARRANTY FOR THIS ISSUE. DOOR LOCKS FREEZE OPEN AND WILL NOT LATCH. THE VEHICLE HAS BE DRIVEN WITH THE DOORS UNLATCHED. FORD'S TSB AND NOW RECALL (FOR THE DRIVER DOOR ONLY) HAS BEEN PERFORMED ON ALL FOUR DOORS LAST YEAR. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR IT THIS YEAR AND SEVERAL TIMES LAST YEAR. THIS IS THE SECOND COMPLAINT.

DOOR LOCKS FREEZE AND WON'T CATCH. USUALLY FOLLOWS A PERIOD OF SNOW, RAIN OR A CAR WASH AND THEN FREEZING TEMPERATURES. ALL FOUR DOORS ON MY F150 HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS AND ONE TIME THE DOOR CAME UNLATCHED WHILE I WAS DRIVING.
WHEN I LEFT FOR WORK TODAY, I WENT TO SHUT MY DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT DOOR AND IT WOULD NOT LATCH. I HAD TO SLAM THE DOOR 4 OR 5 TIMES IN ORDER TO GET IT TO FINALLY LATCH. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS BELOW 20DEG F. THIS OCCURRED LAST WINTER AND FORD REPAIRED THE CONDITION AT THAT TIME. I ALSO RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THIS CONDITION, BUT REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE YET. LAST TIME THIS OCCURRED THE DOOR OPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING WHICH IS NOT SAFE.
REAR DEFROST WAS TURNED ON AND WITHIN SECONDS THE CABIN WAS ENGULFED IN A WHITE SMOKE AND STRONG ELECTRICAL FIRE SMELL. AS I WAS PULLING OVER, THE REAR WINDOW EXPLODED.
