The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 24E12 however, it failed to prevent a failure from occurring. One week after the recall remedy was completed the contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where it was diagnosed with a catalytic converter failure. The contact related the failures to Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 24E12 however the VIN was not eligible for a second repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000.
Although my VIN was not listed on any data base as a risk of the 10-speed transmission issue, my transmission first faltered while driving on the highway on 26 November 2024 and then again on 9 December 2024. While driving, the transmission instantly downshifted to a lower gear and there was a loss of power, which was a huge safety issue while driving on I-44 at 70 mph. Ford was notified of both instances via phone call from me and through the Ford App that is linked to my truck. In both occasions, the "Engine" light on the dashboard was illuminated. *Please note that Ford did assist in repairing this issue through the Customer Satisfaction Program.* Although I was still responsible to pay for 55% of the repair amount (total of $6,608.82), Ford paid the remaining 45% and added an Extended Warranty to the truck for 36,000 miles / 36 months. A new transmission was installed on 18 December 2024. My reason for filing this is to add to the data that is being collected with regards to this specific issue. Yes, Ford may assist on a case-by-case basis, but this is still unfortunately being viewed as a "Service Bulletin" instead of a Recall.
DURING MAINTENANCE PRIOR TO THE MAIN ISSUE STATED TO FORD, CUSTOMER NOTICED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH TRANS AND MECHANIC REPORTED IT WAS FINE AND DIDNT SEE ANYTHING ON THEIR COMPUTER AND THAT THE CUSTOMER COULD WAIT UNTIL 90K MILE UPCOMING MAINTENANCE. CUSTOMER STATES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING AND THE TRUCK WAS SHIFTING ROUGH / WHEN PULLING AWAY FROM A STOP THE TRUCK WOULD REV UP AND NOT GO FORWARD THEN DELAYED ENGAGEMENT / ALSO WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED THE TRUCK HAS DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING SMOOTHLY IN PASSING GEARS VERIFIED THE CONCERN. PERFORMED SELF TEST AN FOUND P07F7 INCORRECT 10 GEAR RATIO. PERFORMED TEST DRIVE AND FOUND THE SHIFT FLARE EXCEEDING 290RPMS AN SPEC IS 0-10RPMS. The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after cold starting the vehicle and shifting into drive(D), the vehicle hesitated before lunging forward. The contact stated that the transmission was shifting hard while driving and depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that the transmission also downshifted hard while depressing the brake pedal. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,105.
I heard a weird noise last year and took it to ford. They ended up fixing the whole rear end, drive shaft, all components on the front end, They also replaced the whole 4 wheel drive system, and wheel hubs. last week I took the truck to have the pcm recall done. Once I left the transmission felt like it was slipping. I called them and they said that it is probably from the other issues I had to have fixed, and they would charge me 200 dollars to have this fixed. In the 4 years I have had this truck the whole drive train system will have to have been replaced. Ford needs to replace the transmission when they are fixing other drive train issues this is not safe when you are driving and then the truck will not shift gears
The rear view camera turned black, sometimes purple, the image is distorted. I googled it and it says 700,000 F150's were recalled for this problem but when I called the Ford where I live they said it didn't have a recall
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the message "Parking Brake On" remained activated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, while operating the vehicle, the message that the rear driver’s side door was ajar was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the instrument cluster, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 76,620.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH for an hour, there was an abnormally loud clunking sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle lost motive power and was jerking. The contact was able to pullover safely into a parking lot. The contact stated that the message “Anti-collision System Offline” was displayed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that there were no recalls for the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed there were no recalls for the failure and referred the contact to the local dealer and the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000.
Transmission was slipping and multiple seconds delays in shifting. Delays were also observed when switching from reverse to drive. Rough shifting periodically as well. Took the vehicle to dealership and they informed me of a TSB on this transmission and they recommend overhaul/ repair. Quote for repairs between $6,700- $9,000 between multiple dealerships nearby. Vehicle has 113,00 miles.
Transmission failure at high speed. To low power..
First incident my [XXX] daughter was driving my truck on the highway going 70mph, the truck went from 10th gear dropped all the down to first almost causing her to wreck the truck before getting to the side of the road, it has a lifetime warranty so took the truck to Jones Ford in Wickenburg Arizona, after several conversations with the warranty company wanting to deny the claim finally got the transmission warranty and was told they replaced the transmission, this truck still was not driving properly not shifting gears , dropping gears at high rate of speed, back to the dealership, they did some computer updates, picked the truck up drove still not right, decided to take it to a different deal shop Camelback Ford in Phoenix Arizona, they replace transmission again, this is at least 4-5 transmissions in this truck, The truck still is not driving properly it’s a hazard on the road could cause a wreck at anytime because the shifting is not right and unsafe, I have called the warranty company multiple times and Ford to take /buy this truck back, it has spent more time at the dealership in the last year then at my home, I continue to make my truck payments and have no truck, I will not let my wife or daughter drive this truck because of the safety and what could happen if they are on the highway doing high speeds and the transmission once again drops suddenly from 10th gear to first, it does not even shift properly from 3rd to 4th gear, it needs to be taken back by Ford Motor Company and not allowed to be on the road anymore, with the continuous attempts by dealerships to fix this and nothing has worked, I cannot continue to put myself my family and others on the road in danger because of the unknown outcome when driving this vehicle on the road, I have made many attempts between the warranty company , Ford and dealerships to help get this vehicle fixed or off the road and take it back with no luck, look up the history by the VIN to verify my complaints INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AC
The driver door doesn’t lock or unlock unless opened from the inside. The actuator is more than likely the issue but ford dealership told me it was $185 to diagnose then the total would be around $500 if the actuator is the issue. My truck only has 50,000 miles on it and I can’t get in it without crawling over the seat to open the door.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, an abnormal sound was coming from the vehicle. In addition, the contact and her husband became aware that the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V197000 (Power Train). The local independent mechanic advised the contact to avoid driving the vehicle because the failure might worsen the failure. The local dealer was contacted and advised the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V197000 (Power Train). The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.
The transmission started to jerk when shifting. It got to where it wouldn’t shift past 6th gear. I didn’t get any kind of warning lights. I took it to the dealer and they said the transmission needs to be rebuilt. The rebuild is going to take 4 to 6 weeks and in that timeframe I don’t have a vehicle.
Transmission is being replaced for a 2nd time due to erratic downshifting at highway speeds. Going from 10th to 1st to 5th and back to 10th gear. Then loss of power.
Truck would downshift for no reason. This happened on multiple occasions. The vehicle was taken to the Ford garage and was told there was a sensor that needed to be replaced. After servicing the vehicle the transmission was worse was told that it needs to self adjust. Now waiting to see if there are any further issues. Apparently this is a known issue with these vehicles but mine was not one that was recalled.
The transmission is currently at dealership having transmission replaced at only 54,000 miles. The truck started experiencing rough shift, sometimes taking a few seconds to actually go into gears 4-6. While on the highway, I had to use extra caution merging on or off the interstate because of the delay in changing gears. The dealership shop has told me the CDF drum is damaged internally and they are replacing it with a re-manufactured transmission.
While driving on the highway the Transmission on the 2020 F-150 began to switch back and forth from 7th gear to 8th gear and then jump to 10th gear and all of a sudden drop to 1st gear causing a skid to happen. A orange colored wrench came on the dashboard after the skid took place. I brought the truck to the dealership where I bought it and and requested a new transmission be installed. This being the second time the trucks transmission is being worked on which only has 15K miles. The dealership is currently refusing to install a new transmission and want to only fix what they feel is required.
On [XXX] while attempting to take a trip to WV we were traveling on [XXX] nearing Waynesboro, VA. While driving up the mountain on [XXX] near the Rockfish Gap overlook I noticed our F-150 seemed to mis-shift or slip. As we’d experienced issues during a previous trip that required the transmission to be serviced under warranty I switched the display to the transmission temperature near 245 degrees. I attempted to put the truck in eco mode and slowed below the speed limit to the top of the mountain. While going down the west side of the mountain I left the truck in cruise. Past the [XXX] exit I noticed smoke which began to increase. I then checked the temperature again which reported 267 degrees. The wrench warning light came on indicating reduced power. I also received the notification on the Fordpass Application. The truck quickly slowed down and would not accelerate forcing me to hastily move to the shoulder in heavy traffic. We pulled over at stopped right in front of mile marker [XXX]. A large amount of transmission fluid observed pouring out from above the bell housing onto the exhaust. It appeared and smelled like it was possible to catch on fire so I did not park over grass, remaining on the concrete shoulder. After a dealer tech simply reset the computer and stated it was fine we drove the truck home, but did not feel safe or sure that it would make the trip. The transmission temperature remained below 220 the trip home but did have delayed shifts. The next day I had three incidents after exiting the interstate of a failure to find a gear for a moment as I attempted to take a turn. Our dealer that we trust has already completed two TSB actions related to the transmission. The other dealer cleared the computer and did nothing to repair the issue. They also attempted to charge me for a diagnostic fee, even though it’s under warranty and clearly had issues to include gear ratios being wrong and ECM/PCM and BCM communication failures. The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was jerking and shuddering while changing gears. Additionally, the vehicle would not properly accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. The wrench warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 120,000.
2020 f150 down shift when in drive mode.it has this really hard jerk when I'm taking off from a stop light or stop sign even when stopping for a traffic light.
I am experiencing sudden deceleration when the gear suddenly shifted from higher gear 7, 8, 9 to gear 1 for only a few seconds then shifted back to gear 7, 8, or 9 again. This could happen at lower speed like 30s or 40s mph, or also happened at higher speed like 70s. It happens randomly. There are also other typical transmission issues like hard shift, will not shift into gear etc.. but the random gear shifting from high gear to low gear is the most serious issues. The local Ford dealership has attempted to repair the problem by check the valve body and update the software, but this did not fix the issues. The error message was appeared on the dashboard screen.
The locking mechanism inside the driver’s side door was not always working…it would sometimes lock and Not Unlock and other times just Not Lock. We could sometimes hear the mechanism trying to work, but not. Seemed to happen more on cold weather days. My husband has had to “crawl out” of the passenger side door when he could not get the lock to unlock, nor able to pull it up. He’s a big man. This is certainly a safety issue. We took our truck to Stokes Hodges Ford in Aiken, on 1850 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC 29829, to be diagnosed and then repaired by them. They told us they were able to duplicate the problem and to my knowledge, they replaced it with a new part. Not sure what they did with the defective part after they removed it. There were No warning lights to indicate there was a problem with the lock. We have all the receipts from Ford.
On my 2020 Ford F150, my wife was locked in the car because we could not get the passengers door to unlock. She just had surgery on her hand, and was not able to use her hand to open the door, and I could NOT get the door to unlock! I was trying all the unlock button, but it would not unlock. The only way I could get the door open was to put down the window, and reach in and unlock the door! What if a person needed to get the open open immedially!! This is not a good situation and is a majot safty matter that needs to be fixed by FORD! I have seen this is a common problem with many F150 owners as well. Ford's recall does not include my truck. For a 4 year old truck, this is just not right!
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
My 2020 F150 transmission is having serious issues related to accelerating and decelerating, and rough shifting (causing jerking forward and backwards) which are now a major safety concern. The transmission gets stuck in gear, sometimes shifts from 4th to 1st gear, gets stuck in 7th gear, or will not shift out of 1st gear. Earlier this week with my wife driving the vehicle (with my children in it), it would not accelerate due to this issue and getting on the highway, she had to quickly pull over narrowly being missed by a cargo truck since the vehicle would not accelerate. I took over driving the vehicle, and I've observed the gear changing issues noted above and also had to pull off the road to avoid stalling the vehicle in the middle of a busy road. I've addressed these issues with Ford corporate, and their official position is that I have to have the issues diagnosed with a Ford dealer, which is telling me diagnosis is 8-12 weeks out. I don't know what else to do, but I am very concerned about the safety issues this is presenting
Cruise control was set at approx. 62 mph driving on the Interstate. An exit was taken and coming down the off ramp the truck would not slow down. It seems the brakes did not disconnect the cruise control. Brakes were both pumped and firmly depressed. No response when the gear shift was placed in a lower gear. The electronic system did not shut off after the ignition was placed in the off position. An inspection is warranted, expected and welcome. This was a Sudden Unintentional Acceleration (SUA) incident/accident!!! Numerous other vehicles were placed in danger while crossing a major intersection. Two fire trucks responding to an emergency were passed at 50 miles an hour. Many other occupied vehicles and individuals at an apartment complex were in danger of being killed or injured. As of right now the vehicle has not been inspected by the insurance claims adjuster, so right now it has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center (but is welcomed to be done). The vehicle or components have not yet be inspected by the manufacture, police or insurance representative (but I would be willing to allow it). There was no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. It was totally unexpected and a complete surprise.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to first gear and the vehicle abruptly decelerated. The contact pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway and turned off the vehicle however, the failure persisted. The power train warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the powertrain control module, resulting in damages to the transmission. The contact was informed that that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V075000 (Power Train); but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 81,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle jerked and hesitated upon depression of the accelerator pedal, with the “Service Engine" warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer but was not yet diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
This happens consistently, while driving with the cruise control, the truck takes off and speeds up almost causing the truck to ram other vehicles. Then the truck shudders and surges before throwing up several codes. I have read this is a problem with many Ford trucks. I feel like our lives are in serious danger . I was hoping there would be a recall because this is leaving customers in situations that may cause injury or death.
Cam phaser rattling along with timing chain is slipping. This same year, make and model has a known recall and is a known issue but because my specific VIN isn’t showing it for will not resolve it. I bought the 2020 f150 in 2022 and this is unacceptable.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked on several occasions, the front passenger’s side door failed to open as intended. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the door latch actuator had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,560.
The contact owned a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that his employees had driven the vehicle to a work site. While at the work site, the vehicle caught fire while the engine was off. An employee stated that flames appeared to have come from the vehicle's dashboard. An attempt was made to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher; however, the flames quickly engulfed the vehicle. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was destroyed as a result of the fire. One of the contact's employees suffered first and second-degree burns to the face. The employee was taken to a hospital where they were treated for their injury. A police report was not filed. The decal from a storage unit was melted, a blinker cover on an RV was destroyed, and several nearby trees were damaged. The vehicle was towed to an independent tow yard where it remained in their possession. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be inspected; the cause of the fire remained unknown. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
When the truck is trying to change gears, there would be a long hesitation before it can move up to the next gear while accelerating. The truck would sometimes lose power and speed while trying to find the gear. It would sometimes jump from gear 1 all the way gear 10 and then randomly bounce between the other gears before actually settling. At the moment it does find the right gear, the truck would launch forward violently. I took it to a ford dealership to be diagnosed, where I was told a new transmission is needed. I reached out to the manufacture regarding the issue and was told that there is no assistance for the issue. The quoted cost for the new transmission is $8400.00. I did some research and found that a lot of recent model Ford trucks a having the same problem with the transmission. Most report I read encountered the problem before 100000 miles. The truck is currently at the Ford dealer waiting to repaired. I find this is unfair to consumers to deal with an issue of this expense on what I consider to be a new truck.
Ford F150 Mileage when 10R80 Transmission Failed: 66,195 New 10R80 Transmission Replacement of Original Factory 10R80 Transmission installed on September 20, 2024 Original 10R80 Transmission Failure Date: [XXX] Brand New 10R80 Transmission Installed: September 20, 2024 2nd Incident Malfunction of New Replacement 10R80 Transmission: [XXX] 3rd Incident Malfunction of New Replacement 10R80 Transmission: [XXX] My 2020 Ford F150 transmission failed on [XXX], on [XXX]. The truck lost power and the transmission was shifting erratically. Upshifting and downshifting and the engine revved up. A Warning Light came on as a transmission failure. I was driving in a construction zone without shoulders, so the experience was terrifying for my Wife and I when the transmission failed. There was an emergency turn off and I pulled my truck off the highway and looked underneath and saw the entire underside of the truck covered with transmission fluid. When the 10R80 transmission failed, the mileage on my 2020 Ford F150 was 66,195 miles. The powertrain warranty on the vehicle is up to 60,000 miles. Ford Motor Company and the Ford Dealer offered no financial help to replace the factory original failed 10R80 transmission. On September 20, 2024, I paid Front Royal Ford $8,756.13 for a new transmission and installation. My assessment is that the transmission failed when driving up a mountain for several miles at a steep grade. On [XXX], the new transmission installed started acting very erratically and the transmission disconnected from the engine and a total loss of power occurred. The transmission randomly started downshifting and upshifting. Transmission fluid leaked from the new transmission. The 2020 Ford F150 was put in the Service Department of Front Royal Ford, and they could not replicate the problem and told me to pick up the vehicle.
transmission shifting hard 4th and 7th gear, sometimes also it's slow with acceleration, took it to colonial ford in Columbia, S.C. yesterday and was told to contact you about an issue with my transmission
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing excessive oil consumption. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming 2 quarts of oil each 1,300 miles driven. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an oil consumption test was performed, and the dealer confirmed that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of oil. The dealer determined that the engine needed to be replaced; however, the repair was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from underneath the vehicle. The check brake emergency warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake line needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
The contact's son owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the driver was driving at various speeds and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle experienced hard shifts and hesitated while responding. Additionally, the contact stated that the transmission was skipping gears unintentionally and shifted in and out of gear while driving. The contact was unsure whether a warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed, but the diagnostic information was not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
I have a problem with the door sensor, when temperature drops below 60 the system shows the door is open and doesn't let me lock any door even after driving, keeping the lights inside and outside the vehicle to stay on, this lead in few times to the alarm goes off during the night, the problem is that I have 2 kids they always use their seat belts but my little one sometimes put the hand on the door handle so to prevent any accidents I have to use to lock mechanism so the door can only be open from outside, but this is frustrating because I have to disconnect the battery in order to preserve power , seems this is not an isolated incident many people have the same issue.
-10R80 Transmission began malfunctioning at 86,000 miles. Per Ford dealer, the shift strategy was cleared which did not resolve issue. Internal transmission failure was suspected and transmission was replaced. -From a complete stop, the truck would not want to shift from 1st to 2nd gear unless driver let off the gas causing unnecessary risk. From there, truck would shift extremely hard while under acceleration. Additionally, there were instances where truck would not downshift while slowing down to a stoplight. Truck remained in 7th gear at the green light and could only be moved by switching truck to manual shift. -Issue was verified by an independent shop along with a local Ford dealer. -Unsure if the component has been inspected by manufacturer as it was replaced by them. -No engine lights, codes, or other symptoms.
Started having rough shifting from 1st to second at 99k miles. Quickly progressed to 3-4-5 gears shifts. Finally couldn’t drive the truck in auto because it was having trouble finding/shifting into gears up to 60mph. I had two instances when driving in 8th gear around 55mph and the transmission randomly shifted to second. Caused the vehicle to lurch violently and over-rev the engine. I had several other instances when traveling above 60mph in 10th gear and the gear indicator flashed between 10th and first gear. Thankfully it didn’t actually downshift. Tried taking it to a dealership near me but they were backed up two months on transmission work. I wound up taking it to a local shop and they rebuilt the transmission. They found the typical c-d-f drum bushing failure that is common in the 10r80 transmissions.
the truck has sudden jerking, Harsh shifting, The truck lunging forward unexpectedly, Hesitations during acceleration, Unexpected losses of power this is on a recall for several other 2020 f150 trucks and it never did this till recently
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the seal underneath the vehicle was fractured nearby the exhaust. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where an unknown diagnosis was completed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the back-up camera failed to operate as needed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure first started as a distorted image on the screen; however, over time, the screen would appear completely blank. The dealer was notified about the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V575000 (Visibility, Back Over Prevention); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
The transmission slips when giving it gas. I lose power when I excelerate Sometimes. Sometimes the truck excelerates when I'm not giving It throttle. Transmission jumps all over. The transmission seems to be very rough shifting back and forth
I have an actuated door lock on the drivers door for electronic locks. It recently started buzzing and not locking when I lock the doors, all of the other locks work fine. This lock buzzes whether I push the button inside the truck, push the lock button on the fob and also when driving about 5 miles per hour. Again, all of the other locks work as they are supposed to. I looked and asked my dealer about a recall on this issue and there is not one. I have a co-worker who had a similar problem with his ford truck that is a few years older and he received a letter from Ford extending his warranty so the part would be replaced at no cost to him. I am requesting the same thing as mine 2020 Ford has the problem currently and even though I can lock it manually when I use the keypad to unlock the doors it does not work either and I feel this is a safety issue and would like it corrected. I have attached a copy of the letter my co-worker received with the program number included for repair.
