Took the vehicle in for a oil change and tire rotation at Southgate Ford in Southgate Michigan. When they pulled off a rear wheel for rotation, the head of the axle bolt fell off. Technician and Service advisor said it was a know issue. Car has to be kept because it is unsafe to drive until fixed.
Upon starting my pickup after work a loud static sounding noise was heard coming from the speakers in the rear doors and in the A pillars of the vehicle. I was unable to get the noise to stop even if the radio was turned off. I had no control of the volume coming out of the speakers and it seemed that it was as loud as they could go. The noise was not always constant, sometimes quieting down for 10 to 15 seconds at a time. However, I have a half hour drive to get home and this sound was continuous for the entire drive. The noise was loud enough that I feel hearing protection would be required to operate the vehicle. I drove the vehicle to the dealership where I had purchased it and made an appointment to have the issue resolved.
Vehicle started making EXTREMELY loud popping noises from all speakers. This occurred at start up and repeated several times. I turned off the vehicle and did not drive but I’ve now researched and found others with the same truck system’s experiencing the same and some crashes have occurred. There does not seem to be any Ford representative acknowledging the problem so I wanted to report it.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while reversing the vehicle, the back-up camera malfunctioned, causing the screen image to become frozen and still, creating a visibility hazard for the driver. The contact stated while driving at various speeds on several occasions, the transmission would only shift from first through fourth gear and the vehicle was hesitating. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the TCM software update needed to be performed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted in second gear. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,271.
I was driving this morning and out of nowhere, my radio starting making the loudest noise I've ever heard (x3). Louder then a darn gun shot. I almost had an accident because I thought the truck was exploding. Had to slam on the breaks and jump out. Dealership was no real help, so had to walk all the way home to get noise canceling headphones so I could reenter the vehicle. Re-entered to a burning smell. Called Ford and was told to try and remove and reinstall the battery. I did this and it fixed it, but now driving with noise canceling headphones and can't have anybody in the car out of fear for hearing loss. Sitting here at my desk with ringer ears and bad headache.

The rear seats in the vehicle lock in the folded up position, requiring a cloth tab to be pulled to release them down, however the rear seats do not require the same action to fold up. Having the seats fold up on their own seems like a safety concern in roll-over scenarios.
While driving down the highway, my 2022 Ford F-150 Tremor randomly caught on fire. I was driving down the highway and was flagged down by other drivers to let me know the bottom of the truck was on fire. I pulled over and luckily someone had a fire extinguisher and we were able to get the fire under control. The fire department was also called and they also helped put out the fire after their arrival. The truck has always been serviced at a Ford dealer and had gone in for an oil change less than 350 miles prior to the truck catching fire.
There has been times when for no reason at all I will start up the vehicle and a loud static pop sound comes out of the speakers. Then after that the sound will go on and off throughout the speakers, I have no way of turning it off, I even try to turn off the vehicle and let it sit of a minute and get back in and start it, it did not go away. I had to drive it with the static noise going on. But after I get to my destination, and park the vehicle. Let it sit for a couple of hours, then I get back in the car and the sound is gone. I have try to complain to ford, and they keep on telling there's nothing they can do.
Fuel odor when exiting the truck. Looked under the truck to investigate the gas odor and found a weeping gas line connection between the gas tank and transmission. Took the truck to Gary Yeoman Ford in Ocala, FL and they estimated it would cost $1385 to do the repair, however, they did not give us a copy of the estimate. Called them back today, 11/29 to set up an appointment for the repair and they will call us back to drop off the truck as it may take a couple of days to get the part.

The contact's wife was able to coast to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to restart. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,000.
The speedometer does not report the correct speed the truck is going It is off and the faster you go the more it is off. The dealership service manager tried to get it fixed twice and Ford engineering said that’s normal.
My engine failed do to faulty valves at 42000 miles. A check engine light came on and I took it to nearest ford dealership for repairs. It was originally missed diagnosed with faulty ignition coil on number 5 cylinder back in November 2023. Since then it has been determined to have issue mentioned above. They say they will need to replace entire engine. Not happy with this but what can an owner do. I have seen this has been common in other similar vehicles. Has ford found and fixed the problem or will this again happen with the new engine they put in?
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that after initially starting the vehicle and driving uphill out of the driveway at approximately 5-10 MPH, the vehicle lost power. The failure was self-corrected immediately after the failure. While driving approximately 30-35 MPH, the failure recurred. I purchased a brand new Metallic Blue 2022 Ford F150 XLT Supercrew FX4 Off Road edition from Greenway Ford in Orlando, FL on [XXX] I traded in a blue 2014 Ford F150 XLT that I had owned for 10 years and was for the most part, a reliable vehicle that I loved. The odometer on the new F150 read ~124 miles on it at the time of purchase. After several months into owning the vehicle the rear passenger window malfunctioned and would not go up. I took it to Greenway Ford and they repaired it in a day under warranty and I didn’t think anything of it. As we entered the Florida rainy season the truck developed a very faint musty smell. After several weeks of hard rains at the beginning of November 2023, I started to hear water sloshing along the sides of the truck. After inspecting the carpets under the floor mats I found them to be completely soaked. I took the truck to Greenway Ford service center where they informed me that the windshield was not installed properly from the factory when the vehicle was built and has been accumulating water and not draining properly. I'm very concerned that there is mold in the vehicle as it still smells. The ABS sensors were also not calibrated. Randomly and suddenly while driving on OH State Route 98, my vehicle started a ROARING audio expulsion that could NOT be stopped. It was coming from EVERY speaker and at MAXIMUM volume and lasted for about 45 minute. I tried audio controls, I pulled over on the side of the road and shut down my vehicle. I opened my door to "complete" the computer shut off. I tried randomly pulling fuses to no avail. I did NOT have tools to remove the battery connection. It produced such power that a distinct odor of electrical fire was present. I did NOT witness flame, but I was very worried it was soon to happen. I drove to dealer. All controls SEEMED to work normally. The audio was dangerously loud and we recorded a video / audio.
When in my vehicle, there is a very loud POP and STATIC that is sufficiently loud that it is startling and dangerous. I've experienced this issue 3 times now. I contacted Ford, and their support team just pointed me to my dealer. This issue will eventually cause someone to crash, lose hearing, cause a seizure, etc.. Very dangerous. After experiencing the issue, I began doing online searches and find that this issue has been reported across multiple platforms including news and forums. It appears that the issue exists with the B&O sound system. My dealer claimed they weren't sure what the problem was, but that they could take a look and try to figure it out. I think this is a serious enough issue that the Ford and the dealers should prioritize the repair as this is far more serious than an errant windshield wiper (one of the recalls).
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed there was oil leaking from the rear passenger's side wheel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the rear axle bolt was faulty, and the rear axles needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the rear axles under warranty. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,361.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 10 MPH, he heard an abnormal sound coming from the rear wheels. The contact then parked the vehicle in the driveway. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the rear axle bolts had loosened independently. The dealer tightened the bolts; however, the failure recurred while driving to the residence. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer the following day. The dealer tightened the bolts and applied a thread-locking compound; however, the failure recurred after driving 500 miles. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V896000 (Power Train). The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V842000 (Visibility) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
Loud popping + static sound while car is on. Audio controls unresponsive, loud enough to cause hearing damage.
For lighting, model came with the quad beam and headlight would often malfunction leaving headlights stuck in the low position and high beams not usable. For power train, the 10 speed would cause sharp jolts and shifts that is not normal for regular driving. Very abrupt jolts that make operating vehicle unsafe to drive in traffic. Vehicle began experiencing these symptoms around 25k miles and dealership mentions these issues aren’t a big problem.
Max tow package 3/4 floating rear passenger side axle retention bolt twisted until snapped off. Only thing keeping the rear wheel/axle setup on the truck was the brake caliper.... Ford tech said they have so many in for this issue they don't have the parts in stock anymore. There was a recall issued for some 2021 models but this continues to effect 2022s and 2023s.
I started the truck. I heard a loud pop over the sound system. This was followed by a loud crackling noise over the speakers. The sound continued after the sound system was turned off. The speakers smell like they were burning.

Three times now a VERY loud static noise comes through the speakers when I start the truck. It sounds like a blown amplifier. It only lasts for a few seconds, but it is loud enough that my ears are still ringing. It would cause a wreck if it happens when driving. I am taking into Ford dealer on Monday, but they say they have never heard of the issue.
a few months after purchased, I went to a shop to rotate tires for first time. Upon removing the rear passenger tire, the mechanic was shocked to see the axle bolt sheared off and lying inside the hub. Ford said not to drive it, and they picked it up for warranty service. They replaced the rear axle. A year later, I noticed a black greasy substance on the same rim. Went to Ford, and the axle bolt had broken again. This time it had apparently been off for some time. They replaced the axle, brake rotor, and both sets of rear brake shows, as the wobbly wear had ruined the brakes. A month later, I am now noticing that black greasy substance again on the same rim. My power train warranty is out at 60k miles, and I feel that I have a vehicle that is going to ruin an axle every 15-20k miles and be a serious danger to my family should the tire come loose in motion. There are other issues with the truck that are less dangerous such as intermittent black out of the GPS screen, but those do not have the consequences I fear from the breaking axle.
Tail lights with BLIS crack at the Manufacturing Seam of the light, causing critical safety features to not function. Additionally, water penetrates light and causes electrical shortage. Well known issue amongst truck enthusiasts.
Rear axle bolt sheared off.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V842000 (Visibility) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. On start, a loud "pop" was heard and the audio system went into full volume static and other sounds. Radio could not control it, on/off or volume, nothing would stop it. sound was deafening and lasted as long as the ignition was on. turned off ignition, yet it kept on regardelss of what I did with any interior controls. Sound was deafening and as I came to a stoplight, I could not hear the siren of an ambulance approaching from the left. I could not hear the siren due to the noise in the cabin! No way to stop the noise except after shutting down the ignition and leaving it alone for 15minutes........and it turned itself on again even after I had left the vehicle!
My truck accelerated on its own , repeatedly, while highway driving . Had to drive with brakes on until I was able to pull over . Turned off truck , waited a few minutes , turned back on and without having my foot anywhere near the accelerator, the truck accelerated on its own , as if someone was gunning the engine - while still in park . Turned off again . NOTHING was near my accelerator to cause this - I managed to get to the dealership . They said it was my floor mats that caused the problem . They found nothing mechanical. I assured them the mat was not the cause - this truck nearly killed me and I know something is wrong with it . The acceleration was constant , the engine noise loud as if gunning - cruise control was not on . The truck has been driven several times by my husband and nothing has happened, but I will never drive it as it scared the life out of me . This is my 4th F-150 - I know the truck and know how to drive it . This is not normal obviously, and it isn’t the mat . I used the exact same mats in my previous truck for almost 5 years . Then transferred them - it’s NOT the problem ! The truck is dangerous and something is wrong .
The audio system is malfunctioning - a loud audible cracking noise occurs when audio sources are selected or connected/disconnected from the vehicle's sound system. During the malfunction, the volume control knob was unresponsive, and there was no varying difference in sound when attempting to lower the volume. The sound was so loud that it caused my ears to ring and my body to involuntarily flinch from the shock of the sudden and sharp noise coming from the speakers. My ears continued to ring for several minutes following the incident. This could pose a safety risk to occupants as it may lead to long term hearing damage or loss. I have scheduled an appointment with my Ford service department to have the issue addressed one week from the initial occurrence. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure.
The all digital gauge cluster just goes out while driving leaving the driver with no instrumentation. The ford dealer states ford knows about it with a service bulletin. The vehicle is not able to be driven with iut knowing how fast you are going if you even your fuel level.
Truck speakers randomly emit excessively LOUD pops and static. Took in truck for service and they “couldn’t replicate.” This was at a Ford dealer in Mew York. Gave truck back. It has done it everyday since and it’s so loud it’s almost like I’m in a concert. It lasts 5-10 seconds. It causes disaffections when driving as well. First time it happened I thought something broke a window. I saw many complaints posted about this through NHTSA and found online via [XXX] that Ford issued a bulletin for this fix but my service department at the local dealership didn’t bother to fix it. This has been an ongoing issue since I purchased the truck in late 2022. This was my first attempt to have it fixed. While driving, parked or switching to reverse the stereo will emit a very loud noise. Best described as an electronic explosion that lingers. It doesn't just go BOOM it goes BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM and lasts up to 70 seconds so far. It has even happened when turning the truck off and it persists after everything is off. Ford dealer says "everything is fine" this is a video of it doing it. The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked in the garage, the vehicle started without the key fob on three occasions. There were no warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the hood cover was missing when the vehicle was purchased. The contact purchased carbon pouches for the key fob and verified the vehicle did not start. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to an unknown program. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was not manufactured with a hood cover. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the manufacturer was aware of the kind of failure that the vehicle had experienced. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
The loud sound of shattered glass and of glass cracking played over the sound system. This is the second time it has happened to us. Turning off the F150 and opening the door did not help it stop. This is very scary when driving. Since it happened before, I didn’t panic this time, but it is a reoccurring problem that could contribute to an accident.
Emergency brake activated while driving causing tires to lock and skid forward
The vehicle has fallen out of neutral tow mode while being towed behind motor home twice. First time happened April 10, 2022 and the second was August 23, 2023. The first time it ruined the transfer case and transmission, a dealer in Georgia replaced those and all 4 tires. The second time we were able to stop with only tire damage. Both times we were driving on the highway. Both times the neutral tow mode was set through the dash board of the F150. There were no warning lights only smoke from the truck and motorhome slowing down due to F150 not rolling. Neither incident involved police, we were able to pull off to side out of traffic.
2022 Ford F-150 tremor owner with B&O Unleashed sound system. Yesterday 8/22/2023 when starting my truck I experienced a loud big boom followed by loud static and popping sounds which was varying in pinch and level for all speakers. I could not turn off the audio or turn down the audio. I turned off the truck and it continued to make the same noises for some time before stopping on its own. I had to drive for over 30 minutes with this going on in order to get home. I eventually got back into the truck later on and started the truck with the issue resolved and back to normal operations for now. I have also had multiple issues since the purchase of the truck in July 2022 of when attempting to roll up my automatic windows and they keep reopening on there own. Sometimes it takes two or three tries to keep the window up.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vent clips had detached from all the air vents. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer where the clips had been replaced under warranty; however, the failure occurred. The contact stated that the failure would occur in warmer weather. The vehicle was returned to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and it was confirmed that the VIN was not under recall for the failure or covered under warranty. The manufacturer had referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. Parts distribution disconnect.
Advancing forward in traffic to a stop sign on a downward slope in tow/haul mode. Stopped at the intersection and began to accelerate into a left hand turn. Initial acceleration was fine and then the rear tires locked up and squealed on the asphalt. Truck came to a stop and when I looked down the screen said the parking brake was on. I never activated the parking brake. Seemed to disengage on its own after a few seconds. Highly dangerous situation.
