THE TRUCK I AM PAYING OVER $50,000 FOR HAS LEFT ME STRANDED AND HAS BEEN TOWED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST MONTH. PURCHASED END OF JAN. '07, HAS 30,000 MILES WITH A DIESEL ENGINE. I AM AFRAID TO TAKE THIS TRUCK BACK ON THE ROAD AND FORD SAYS ALL THEY ARE OBLIGATED TO DO IS REPAIR THE TRUCK. THIS IS THE 4TH ATTEMPT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP WHEN THE BRAKES WERE ENGAGED AFTER DRIVING OVER A SPEED BUMP. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT HE WAS DRIVING DOWNHILL DURING THE FAILURE WHEN THE VEHICLE FAILED TO BRAKE PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, BUT THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,900 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 111,500. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
2006 FORD F250 SUPER DUTY 4WD PICKUP SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN GOING OVER SLIGHTLY BUMPY ROAD AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND CONTINUES TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY UNTIL SLOWING DOWN TO 35 MPH WHICH STOPS THE SHAKING.*AK

ON MARCH 3RD 2007, I WAS SHOPPING AT A WAL-MART SUPER CENTER IN DOUGLASVILLE, GA. WHEN I RETURNED TO MY VEHICLE (A BRAND NEW 2007 FORD F-250) I DISCOVERED THAT WHILE I HAD BEEN SHOPPING MY VEHICLE HAD BEEN BROKEN INTO. ALTHOUGH NOTHING WAS STOLEN FROM MY VEHICLE OVER $1000.00 TO $2000.00 OR MORE, WORTH OF DAMAGE WAS CAUSED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS BROKEN INTO. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE POLICE AND WHEN THEY ARRIVED I FILLED OUT A POLICE REPORT. THE PURPOSE OF THIS LETTER IS TO EXPRESS MY EXTREME DISSATISFACTION WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY FOR WHAT I CONSIDER AN EXTREMELY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT (THE DOOR-HANDLE/LOCK PLATE) THAT, I AM NOW HAVING TO PAY FOR. ALL IT TOOK FOR A THIEF TO BREAK INTO MY FORD F-250 WAS, WHAT THE POLICE OFFICER DETERMINED, A FLAT-HEAD SCREWDRIVER. IT IS EXTREMELY DISTURBING TO THINK THAT ALL A PERSON HAS TO DO IS JAM A SCREWDRIVER UNDER THE PLATE, FOR THE DOOR-HANDLE/LOCK PLATE, PRY DOWN AND THE DOOR POPS OPEN. THIS IS A SERIOUS MECHANICAL DEFECT TO THE CRAFTSMANSHIP OF THIS VEHICLE. AS IT STANDS IT IS EASIER TO BREAK INTO A FORD VEHICLE WITH ONE OF THESE SUBSTANDARD DOOR-HANDLE/LOCK PLATES THAN IT TAKES A LOCKSMITH TO OPEN THE VEHICLE. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F250 SD. THE CONTACT'S ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS TOO HIGH. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HEIGHT WAS STANDARD. FORD MOTOR COMPANY ALSO STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL HEIGHT WAS STANDARD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 300. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 2500. *AK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ONLY AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT WAITED TEN MINUTES OR MORE BEFORE THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL FUNCTIONED. MOST RECENTLY, THE CONTACT TAPPED THE STARTER SOLENOID REPEATEDLY TO START THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE STARTER SOLENOID ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD F250. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD HOWLING SOUND. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL BEARING WAS RUSTED. THE WHEEL BEARING WAS REPLACED FOUR TIMES, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY CONTAMINATION FROM ROAD DEBRIS OR WATER. THERE WAS A TSB THAT STATED THAT THE BRAKE SHIELD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED IN ORDER TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT MAKE THE REPAIR. ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL (DRIVE BY WIRE) FAILS INTERMITTENTLY. ENGINE GOES TO IDLE WITH ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE TO THE THROTTLE PEDAL WHILE DRIVING. PEDAL ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE AND THE PCM ONCE. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 1500 MILES. *NM
THE DASHBOARD'S REFLECTION IN THE WINDSHIELD IS TERRIBLE! IT IS ESPECIALLY BAD ON A BRIGHT, SUNNY DAY OR WHEN I'M PULLING INTO MY GARAGE. THE GLARE MAKES IT SO DIFFICULT THAT I MUST ROLL DOWN THE SIDE WINDOW AND PUT MY HEAD OUT TO BE ABLE TO PULL INTO THE GARAGE! WHEN I DRIVE IT IN THE DARK, THE STREET LIGHTS LIGHT UP THE DASHBOARD AND THAT TOO REFLECTS INTO THE WINDSHIELD. I'VE REPORTED THIS TO FORD EXECUTIVE OFFICE (KAREN JONES) AND THEY SAY IT'S JUST THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS DESGNED. THEY CLAIM IT'S NOT SAFETY ISSUE AND HAVE NO PLANS TO MODIFY THE VEHICLE. I DISAGREE! THEY HAVE NOT DRIVEN MY TRUCK AND SEEN THIS!*AK
