TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALER 5 TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION. SHUTTERS, INTERMITTENT TRANSMISSION STAYING IN 2ND GEAR WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH.I AM AT A LOSS WITH THIS VEHICLE.
2013 FORD FIESTA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO TRANSMISSION RECALL NOTICE ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED SHE WENT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES TO TRY AND GET A RESOLUTION FOR THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER, SHUDDERED, HESITATED, AND JERKED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SUNRISE FORD OF FONTANA (16005 VALLEY BLVD, FONTANA, CA) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
FORD FIESTA (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) HAS A TRANSMISSION SHUTTER WITH INITIAL TAKEOFF, AND WHEN SHIFTING GEARS.
OVER THE LAST 2 MONTHS, THE RADIO AND INSTRUMENT DASHBOARD HAVE BEEN FLASHING INTERMITTENTLY AND CAR LOSING POWER. BROUGHT TO FORD DEALERSHIP BUT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM DURING TEST DRIVE. IN ADDITION TO THE PROBLEMS LISTED EARLIER, NOW THE TCS OFF KEEPS ON FLASHING EVEN WHEN CAR IS IDLE.
I PURCHASED A 2013 FORD FIESTA I PURCHASED ON DECEMBER 23, 2015 AT THE LAUREL, MARYLAND CARMAX STORE. ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH, I WENT TO JIM COLEMAN TOYOTA TO BUY A TOYOTA PRIUS. THEY EXAMINED MY FORD FOR ITS TRADE-IN VALUE. THE MANAGER, WHO WAS A FORMER CARMAX MANAGER, EXAMINED THE CAR AND INFORMED ME THAT MY FORD FIESTA HAS UNIBODY DAMAGE. THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE AS BE REPLACED. THE CAR HAS UNIBODY DAMAGE WAS NOT DISCLOSED TO ME WHEN I PURCHASED THIS CAR ON DECEMBER 23, 2015. I PURCHASED THE CAR FOR $14,000, WHICH IS FAR ABOVE THE BLUE BOOK VALUE OF $9,419. IN MARCH 2016, I BOUGHT THE CAR TO CARMAX IN LAUREL FOR OVERHEATING. THE HEAT PUMP WAS REPLACED FOR $250. ADDITIONALLY, ON SEPTEMBER 15TH, I PAID FOR REPAIRS AT THE CARMAX GAITHERSBURG STORE. THE REPAIRS WERE FOR THE FOLLOWING: 1-FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH;2-TRUCK LATCH; AND 3-HORN I WAS CHARGED $250 TO REPAIR CRITICAL SAFETY FEATURES. WHILE THE CAR WAS IN GAITHERSBURG, THE BATTERY DRAINED. THE CAR DOOR COULD NOT CLOSE, SO THE INTERIOR LIGHTS REMAINED ON. I REPORTED THE DOOR LATCH PROBLEMS ON MONDAY, AUGUST 29TH. THE CAR WAS IN PARK. MY SISTER AND I WERE TRYING TO LEAVE FOR CHURCH AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. HOWEVER, I WAS NOT GIVEN AN APPOINTMENT UNTIL SEPTEMBER 8TH IN GAITHERSBURG AND SEPTEMBER 13TH IN LAUREL. THAT WAS QUITE A LONG TIME TO WAIT FOR SUCH A CRITICAL ISSUE. I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED A CAR WITH UNIBODY DAMAGE HAD IT BEEN DISCLOSED. TO BE CHARGED FOR A RECALL ITEM THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED PRIOR TO PURCHASE, IS UNCONSCIONABLE. I AM TOTALLY OUTRAGED.
THE TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS. SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T CATCH AT ALL FOR A FEW SECONDS OR MOVE SO WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC YOU END UP STUCK LINGERING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THIS COULD CAUSE A WRECK, ENDANGERS MINE AND MY ALREADY AT LEAST ONE DOCUMENTED CASE OF THIS ALREADY HAPPENING.
WHEN I DRIVE THE CAR IN A LOW GEAR (USUALLY STUCK IN TRAFFIC OR LEAVING A PARKING LOT) IT WILL FLASH SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS AND THE COMPUTER CONSOLE WILL SAY "TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION, SERVICE NOW." THEN THE CAR WILL STOP RESPONDING TO THE GAS PEDAL ENTIRELY. I CAN USUALLY GET IT TO RESPOND AGAIN BY TURNING THE CAR OFF AND TURNING IT BACK ON AGAIN. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES, THIS WILL WORK, BUT IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE IT STALLS OUT AGAIN. I'VE TAKEN THE CAR (STILL UNDER WARRANTY) BACK TO FORD FOR THIS SAME ISSUE 5 TIMES NOW, AND EACH TIME THEY REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION MODULE. EACH TIME, AFTER SOME TIME (SHORTEST: 2 DAYS, LONGEST: FOUR MONTHS) THE SAME STALLING OUT PRESENTS IN THE SAME WAY. I'VE BROKEN DOWN/STALLED OUT IN PARKING LOTS, ON SURFACE STREETS, AND ON MAJOR FREEWAYS: EACH TIME IN TRAFFIC. THE FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED IN AUGUST OF 2015, THEN 12/11/15, 12/15/15, 12/18/15 AND 1/14/15.
KEY WAS NOT IN THE IGNITION, OPENED CAR DOOR AFTER WORK IN PARKING LOT AND HEARD LOUD STATIC COMING FROM RADIO/AUDIO SYSTEM (THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE BUT THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT WAS THE WORST). PLEASE NOTE THE INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING UP THE 55 MILES PER HOUR AND ALSO WHILE THE CAR HAS BEEN PARKED - KEY NOT IN IGNITION. I HEAR 'CRACKING AND POPPING' REGULARLY AND SOMETIMES THE VOLUME IS TERRIFYING AND STARTLING. IT COULD ACTUALLY CAUSE AN AUTO CRASH - THINK ABOUT DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE AUDIO SYSTEM STARTS BLARING STATIC AT 10+ UNEXPECTEDLY... MY RADIO/CD PLAYER DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY AND IF IT DOES WORK FOR A FEW MINUTES, I WILL HEAR LOUD CRACKING AND LOUD POPPING AND THEN THE RADIO/CD CUTS OFF. THE CAR FEELS 'ELECTRIFIED' (THE HAIR ON MY ARMS HAS RAISED). I BELIEVE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND AFTER SEARCHING ONLINE, I HAVE NOTICED HUNDREDS OF OTHER INDIVIDUALS ARE WRITING ABOUT EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. RECALL HELP MUCH APPRECIATED BECAUSE SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT WITH THE FORD CARS EXPERIENCING THESE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. PLEASE NOTE WHILE THESE ELECTRICAL/AUDIO STATIC PROBLEMS ARE GOING ON, THE SYNC SYSTEM HASN'T BEEN FULLY OPERATIONAL EITHER. MY STATE DOES NOT ALLOW DRIVING WITH CELLPHONES SO AN UNAVAILABLE SYNC SYSTEM IS NOT ONLY A PAIN BUT PREVENTS COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAW.
BUZZING, THUMPING, FLUTTERING THROUGH SPEAKERS - EVEN WITH ENGINE OFF. NOISE CAN BE EXTREMELY LOUD AND OCCURS UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING A SHORT CIRCUIT. THE DEALER STATED THE RADIO TESTED BAD AND THE RADIO WAS REPLACED. ALSO, A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THE DOOR LATCH. HOWEVER, THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
TRANSMISSION IS JUNK. JERKING AND SPUTTERING GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND. UNSAFE, HAS BEEN TO FORD 3 OR MORE TIMES FOR THIS AND THEY CAN'T FIX IT.
TRANSMISSION JERKS AND SHUDDERS WHEN THE CAR GETS HOT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON CONSTANTLY AND WHEN THE CAR GOES UPHILL IT ROLLS BACKWARDS.
THE CAR ALMOST STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHEN WE TRIED TO CROSS THE ROAD FROM A STOP SIGN. IT FELT LIKE IT HAD NO POWER TO MOVE. WE FINALLY WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE MANEUVER BUT THE RISK OF AN ACCIDENT WAS PRETTY HIGH AS THE OTHER CARS WERE APPROACHING THE INTERSECTION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS COMING TO A STOP, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND THE VEHICLE JERKED SEVERELY. A WARNING MESSAGE IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED TO BE SERVICED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL PROGRAM WAS UPDATED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED TWICE, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED EVERY TIME THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INNER INPUT SEAL AND CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE MONTHS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT THE CLUTCH FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,743.
THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE INSTANCES THAT MY TRANSMISSION, WHILE IN MOTION, HAS STUTTERED, STALLED, OR BEEN COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE. IN LOW GEARS, THE TRANSMISSION SOUNDS AS IF IT IS GRINDING METAL CANS. WHEN MY CAR STUTTERS OR JERKS SEEMINGLY OUT OF NOWHERE, MY LIGHTS AND DASH WILL FLICKER AS WELL. BOTH MY FORD DEALERSHIP AND FORD ITSELF HAS TOLD ME THESE SAFETY ISSUES ARE NORMAL AND TO BE EXPECTED. TWICE I'VE ALMOST COLLIDED WITH SEMIS ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I WAS UNABLE TO GET UP TO SPEED PROPERLY DUE TO THE CHUGGING AND STUTTERING. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE. I'VE ALREADY HAD MY CLUTCH AND SEALS REPLACED ONCE, TO NO AVAIL. THIS IS THE FIRST VEHICLE I'VE BOUGHT AND I'M SCARED FOR MY SAFETY. FORD AND MY DEALERSHIP WON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THESE HAZARDS AND INSIST THAT I'M NOT DRIVING MY CAR RIGHT. THE GRINDING, STUTTERING, STALLING, AND OUTRIGHT TRANSMISSION FAILURE HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR THE FULL 7 MONTHS I'VE HAD THE CAR. IF MAINTENANCE INVOICES ARE NEEDED, I DO HAVE ACCESS TO THESE.
FORD HAS RECALLED TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE ON MY CAR, IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED A TRANSMISSION CLUTCH IS NEEDED TO REPAIR THE CAR TO PREVENT THE CAR FROM CHANGING GEARS WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION AND CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, HARM AND DEATH. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT REPAIR MY CAR AS REQUIRED BY FORD MOTORS COMPANY AS I HAVE REQUESTED A RENTAL CAR WHILE MY CAR IN IN SERVICE. I AM SERIOUSLY CONCERNED IF MY CAR IS NOT REPAIRED THE CAR COULD CAUSE HARM TO ME AND POSSIBLE DEATH AS THE CAR DOES HESTIATE AND STALL WHILE GOING THRU INTERSECTIONS AND AT STOP SIGNS AND TAKE OFF.
THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN SLIPPING CONSTANTLY. WHEN STARTING FROM A DEAD STOP THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS PREVENTING ITS FROM CATCHING THE FIRST TWO GEARS. ALSO THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LATCH WILL NOT CLOSE. THE DOOR ALL OF A SUDDEN CAME OPEN WHILE DRIVING. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE.
CAR IS STALLING AND CHUGGING AT LOW SPEEDS. CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY AND WILL JUMP/SKIP. THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE. CAR WAS ORIGINALLY TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE 09/2014 AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT FLUID IN THE CLUTCH WAS LEAKY. PROBLEMS REEMERGED IN 02/2015 & 04/30. DEALER DETERMINED CAR WAS RUNNING TO FORD SPECIFICATIONS. CAR CONTINUES TO EXHIBIT SAME ISSUES.
VEHICLE SHAKES AND SHUDDERS ON ACCELERATION. IT HAS LOUD NOISE AND DECREASED SPEED WHILE ON RAMPS OR INCLINES. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON A LOT AND WOULD OVERHEAT WHILE I WAS ON THE FREEWAY. THERE WAS ALSO A FLUID LEAK UNDER THE VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLUTCH FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 18,000.
REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH TO STAY CLOSED CAUSING DOOR TO SWING OPEN AT ANY TIME.
I PURCHASED A VEHICLE WHICH CAME WITH SOME RECALLS SO FAR I'VE HAD 3 MY NEWEST ONE IS THE TRANSMISSION CLUTCH WHICH IS VERY DISTRACTING AND ANNOYING AS I DRIVE I WAS AT ONE POINT READY TO GIVE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP I NEED IT FIXED DO I CAN GO ON VACATION BUT IT SEEMS A VERY LONG TIME IF A WAIT SINCE I HEARD BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP THIS WAS ADDED ON AS A RECALL BUT WHY IS IT I DON'T SEE IT LISTED UNDER YOURS I ALSO GOT NOTHING ON THE AIR BAG BUT I SEE IT ON YOURS AND OF COURSE I KNEW ABOUT THE LATCH FOR DOOR I GOT A NOTIFICATION ON THAT
HESITATES, GRINDS, SHUTTERS, LURCHES WHEN EXCELLERATING FROM A STOP OR SLOW SPEED. IT ALSO ROLLS BACK FROM A LEVEL STOP SOMETIMES WHEN YOU SWITH YOUR FOOT FROM BRAKE TO GAS. IT HAS BEEN TO THE SHOP AT LEAST TWICE BUT CONTINUES THE SAME THINGS. THE EXPLANATION IS THAT AFTER ITS WORKED ON IT RESETS AND HAS TO LEARN HOW TO SHIFT AS TRANSMISSION AGAIN.
THE TRANSMISSION STUTTERS, GRINDS, SLOW TO ENGAGE CAN ALSO POP INTO GEAR HARD WHEN EXCELLERATING OR HESTITATES WHEN EXCELLERATING. IT ALSO ALLOWS THE CAR TO ROLL BACKWARDS WHEN STATIONARY. TWO TIMES IN THE SHOP AND THE EXPLANATION IS NEEDS NEW PARTS, THEN HAS TO LEARN HOW TO BE A TRANSMISSIONJ AGAIN. WHAT??? IT HAS ONLY 14K MILE ON IT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION HESITATED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE DOOR POPPED OPEN WITHOUT WARNING AND COULD NOT BE CLOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LATCHES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS A MANUFACTURERS RECALL ON THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURES DUE TO THE PARTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FIESTA. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT HESITATED TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
THE DOOR LATCH OF THE BACK PASSENGER DOOR MALFUNCTIONED AND WOULD NOT LATCH/CLOSE THE BACK SEAT DOOR. THE LATCH WAS DETERMINED TO UNCORRECTABLE AND THE DOOR WAS UNABLE TO COMPLETELY CLOSE. HOUSTON'S FORD HELFMAN PROVIDED INFORMATION THAT THE MALFUNCTION WAS RECALL, BUT THE CURRENT RECALL WAS NOT RELEASED PUBLICLY. WHEN CONTACTING HOUSTON'S HELFMAN FORD DEALERSHIP THEY PROVED TO BE RUDE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO PROVIDE QUALITY INFORMATION ON CORRECTING THEIR MANUFACTURE'S MALFUNCTIONING PART. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY IN THEIR SHOP, HOWEVER THE STATUS OF RESOLVING THE ISSUE WAS UNKNOWN BY THE END OF THE DAY. A FORMAL COMPLAINT WAS MADE THEN ABOUT A HALF HOUR LATER THE SERVICE MANAGER CALLED AND APOLOGIZED FOR HIS TEAM'S UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDENESS. ADDITIONALLY, HE STATED HE WILL ESCALATE THE ISSUE TO GET IT RESOLVED OR BEGIN THE INSPECTION PROCESS. THE POINT OF THIS COMPLAINT IS THE FACT THAT WE WERE FORTUNATE TO DISCOVER THIS MALFUNCTION IN THE DRIVE WAY. IF WE WERE DRIVING WITH PASSENGERS - YOUNG CHILDREN, CANINES, OR ELDERLY - IN THE BACK SEAT AND THE PROBLEM WAS DISCOVERED AT 60 MPH ON A HIGHWAY THEN THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A TRAGIC FAILURE.

THE DEALER STATED THAT A SPECIAL RECALL LINE NEEDED TO BE REACHED FOR THE RECALL REPAIR PARTS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
WHILE TAKING THE BABY TO VISIT THE GRAND PARENTS, WE ARRIVED THERE AND TAKING THE BABY OUT OF THE CAR THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR POPPED OPEN AND WOULD NOT LATCH. WE HAD TO TIE THE DOOR CLOSED. THE CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE IN THIS CONDITION, RELY ON ROPES AND BUNGEE CORDS TO KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED. IT OFFERS NO PROTECTION IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. THIS CONDITION SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE CAR OWNERS NOW, THEY SHOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR DOORS ON THE VEHICLE TO POP OPEN TO FIND OUT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE CAR.
THIS CAR HAS HAD ONGOING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. IT LURCHES, DOES NOT ALWAYS ACCELERATE WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED, SLIPS GEARS, SHUDDERS, SOMETIMES DROPPING SPEED ABRUPTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAS NEARLY CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. THE SEVERITY VARIES BUT AT THIS TIME, 9/2015, THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN CONSISTENTLY DRIVABLE. IT CURRENTLY HAS 29K MILES.
I BOUGHT THE CAR IN OCTOBER 2014. IT WAS A WEEK LATER I NOTICED THE ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION THAT I WOULD PUSH ON THE GAS PEDAL THAT IT WOULD EITHER JERK OR TAKE A SECOND JUST TOO GET THE CAR TO MOVE. I TOOK IT IN TO A DEALERSHIP AND THE DEALERSHIP WAS TERRIBLE AND SAID THEY FIXED IT. HOWEVER WHEN I GOT THE CAR BACK THE NEXT DAY I WAS DRIVING TO WORK IN SANDY, UTAH ON STATE STREET WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AND I HAD TO GET IT TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY WOULDN'T TAKE ANY OWNERSHIP OF THE ISSUE. THEY SAID IT WAS A "COINCIDENCE". THEY FIXED IT AND I DIDN'T HAVE AN ISSUE UNTIL TWO MONTHS LATER THE ISSUE STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN WITH THE JERKING FORWARD AND FEELING THAT IT WAS LURCHING FORWARD.
WHEN ACCELERATING THE FIESTA LURCHES AND THEN GOES FORWARD. THE AIR CONDITIONING PUMPS OUT COOL AIR AND THEN HOT AIR OFF AND ON. THE LURCHING ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND THIS IS THE FOURTH VISIT.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, MY PASSENGER DOOR SUDDENLY SWUNG WIDE OPENED. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND THEN HOLD THE DOOR ALL THE WAY TO DEALERSHIP. THE DEALER SAID THEY WILL FIX THE PASSENGER DOOR ONLY SINCE THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO FIX THE REST OF THE DOORS EVEN THOUGH ALL 4 DOORS ARE IN RECALL. MY CAR HAVE BEEN WITH THE DEALER FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS SINCE THERE IS NO PART TO FIX MY DOOR LATCH. ITS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE THIS CAR AND FORD DO NOT CARE ABOUT IT.

THE CAR SHUDDERS AND SPITS AT TAKE OFF. SOMETIMES STALLS BOTH IN FORWARD AND REVERSE WHEN I FIRST GIVE IT GAS.
WHEN AT A STOPPED POSITION AND I GO TO TAKE OFF, THE CAR WILL SHUTTER AND ALMOST WANT TO CUT OUT. IT ALMOST DOES NOT KNOW WHAT GEAR IT WANTS TO GO INTO. I AM WORRIED WITH THIS TRANSMISSION. I NEVER HAVE HAD A CAR THAT SHIFTS LIKE THIS BEFORE.

AS MY FAMILY BACKED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY TO GO SOMEWHERE, THE CAR STARTED DINGING LIKE THE DOOR WAS OPEN. I SAW IT WAS SAYING THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WAS AJAR (I WAS SITTING BY THAT DOOR), SO I OPENED AND TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR. THE DOOR COULD NOT LATCH, AND NOTHING COULD GET IT TO LATCH. NOT EVEN LOCKING THE CAR WOULD MAKE THE CAR LATCH. WE OBVIOUSLY COULDN'T GO ANYWHERE IN THE CAR SINCE THE DOOR COULD FLY OPEN WHENEVER IT WANTED, SO THIS IS INSANELY CRAZY. THIS CAR HAS LESS THAN 9000 MILES ON IT, AND I CAN'T CLOSE THE DOOR, I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED IF A CHILD WERE IN THE BACKSEAT. THIS IS INSANELY DANGEROUS. RIGHT NOW, I HAVE A BUNGEE CORD HOLDING THE DOOR CLOSED! I'LL TAKE IT TO THE DEALER IN THE MORNING SINCE THE SERVICE DEPT IS CLOSED TODAY.

THIS IS FOLLOW-UP TO INCIDENT #10639225 (26SEP2015), AND DETAILS CONTINUED TROUBLE FROM INITIAL COMPLAINT. THE VEHICLE HAS RETURNED TO THE SHOP FOUR TIMES (CURRENTLY IN SHOP) FOR POWER-SHIFT TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SHUDDER. TWO OF THE FOUR FOUND SHUDDER TSB LOGGING 150-170 RPM LOSS BETWEEN SHIFTS (FORD CLAIMS ACCEPTABLE?), ONE FOUND/REPLACED LEAKING CV SHAFT SEAL, AND FOURTH CURRENTLY BEING DIAGNOSED. ON THE THIRD INCIDENT (ONE LISTED ABOVE), DEALERSHIP FOUND SHUDDER AND 170 RPM LOSS (STATED ON INVOICE THEY DROVE VEHICLE), BUT INVOICE SHOWS ZERO MILES DRIVEN IN-SHOP? MY FIRST QUESTION IS THIS...WHY IS ANY RPM LOSS (ABOVE 100 RPM'S) ACCEPTABLE FOR A COMPUTER CONTROLLED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION?? SECOND...UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS (WHICH THIS CAR IS DRIVEN) WHY ARE THERE CV ISSUES??? FORD HAS MULTIPLE TSB'S AND FSA'S SURROUNDING THIS TRANSMISSION YET NHTSA DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT!
