VEHICLE RANDOMLY STALLS IN TRAFFIC WHILE ACCELERATING ON THE INTERSTATE. TURNING OFF VEHICLE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND TURNING IT BACK ON USUALLY TEMPORARILY FIXES THE ISSUE. THIS HAS NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WITH AN EIGHTEEN WHEELER.
THE VEHICLE WAS SHUTTERING WHEN DRIVING. THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND NOW THE CAR IS SAYING TO SERVICE THE TRANSMISSION NOW. I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR 2 MONTHS!
RECEIVED A COSTUMER SERVICE LETTER (15B22/19N07) STATING ISSUE WITH TRANSMISSION TCM AND TO BRING CAR INTO DEALER FOR EVALUATION/FIX. ONCE CAR WAS BROUGHT INTO DEALERSHIP WAS TOLD WE NEEDED TO PAY $200 FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST OF THE CAR TO SEE IF IT IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE RECALL. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS VEHICLE SUCH AS SKIPPING GEARS, LOSS OF POWER AND THE CAR EVEN STALLING OUT. IF THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE DUE TO DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION I FEEL I AS A CONSUMER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A DIME TO FIX THEIR PROBLEM. I AM AWARE OF A LARGE NEWS STORY THAT INVOLVED THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE TRANSMISSION ISSUES RESULTING IN SEVERAL DEATHS DUE TO ACCIDENT CAUSED BY THIS PROBLEM.

HELLO THERE! IT'S BEEN A REALLY LONG STORY, BUT MY CAR HAS HAD A HISTORY OF TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE NOW ON FORD'S DOLLAR. IT'S BEEN HAVING THE SAME ISSUES NOW AND IT'S EVEN WORSE. IT'S NON DRIVABLE. THERE ARE TWO OPEN RECALLS FOR IT, 14M01 AND 14M02. I TOOK IT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND WE'VE GONE BACK AND FORTH WITH MANUFACTURING, BUT IT'S SO BROKEN THEY CAN'T PULL THOSE CODES. THEY SAY THAT I NEED TO PAY FOR A TEAR DOWN (AT LEAST 1,200) SO THEY CAN DIAGNOSE IT TO SEE IF THEY'LL REIMBURSE ME. CAR WORKS FINE AND THEN SPUTTERS AND COMES ALMOST TO A STOP. STATES THAT I NEED A NEW THROTTLE BODY. THE CAR HAS BEEN DOING THIS SINCE PURCHASE AND THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THEY NEVER CAN FIND A PROBLEM. NOW IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT IT IS THE THROTTLE BODY.
MY 2013 FORD FIESTA SHUDDERS AND OR BUCKS UPON ACCELERATION. MOVING FORWARD THROUGH INTERSECTIONS IS INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS DUE TO THE UNCERTAINTY OF THE TRANSMISSION. MY 2013 FIESTA HAS HAD THE TRANSMISSION WORKED ON BY WAY OF A FORD DEALERSHIP AND PARTS REPLACED. I WORRY EVERY TIME I DRIVE MY CAR THAT IT MAY BE THE ONE TIME I DON'T MAKE IT THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. I WOULD NOT EVER PURCHASE ANOTHER FORD VEHICLE AGAIN. TOO MANY RECALLS ON THIS CAR. ONLY HAVE HAD IT FOR 7 MONTHS. SO THE CAR WOULD JERK AND POOT AND SHAKE ALONG WITH RATTLE NOISE. IT ALSO LEAKED IN MY DRIVE WAY. I THOUGHT MAYBE SOMEONE PARKED IN MY STALL AFTER I WENT FOR WORK. NOT THE CASE. I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS AND AFTER ONLY 15000 MILES MY CAR HAS MADE A RATTLING NOISE. I NOTICED AS OF LATELY A JERKING/STALLING FEELING AS I ACCELERATE. A YEAR AND A HALF AGO I BROUGHT MY CAR, 2013 FORD FIESTA IN FOR A REGULAR OIL CHANGE AND THE SHOP NOTIFIED ME TO BRING CAR TO FORD DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY FOR A MAJOR OIL LEAK FIX, WHICH, I HAD THOUGHT WAS THE REASON FOR MY CAR SPUTTERING AND HESITATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP TO ACCELERATION. FORD FIXED OIL LEAK AND REPORT HAD ALSO CLAIMED THE TRANSMISSION WAS REMOVED TO CLEAN UP "CONTAMINATED CLUTCH". AFTER, MY CAR SEEMED TO RUN SMOOTHER AND ACCELERATION AND SPUTTER WAS ALLEVIATED. A MONTH LATER MY CAR BEGAN INTENSELY SPUTTERING AND IN A COUPLE INSTANCES WOULD BEGIN TO ACCELERATE THEN COMPLETELY STOP EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS ON THE GAS PEDAL. IT SEEMED TO STALL OUT ONE TIME AND I WAS ALMOST T-BONED BY A CAR COMING AROUND THE CORNER, EVEN THOUGH I WOULD HAVE HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO TURN IF THE CAR ACCELERATED PROPERLY. MONTHS PASS AND MY CAR WAS STILL ACTING WEIRD, SHAKING WHEN IN A LOW GEAR AND STRUGGLING TO ACCELERATE. AT 35000 MILES I BROUGHT THE CAR IN(STILL UNDER WARRANTY) AND THEY FIXED THE CLUTCH IN THE TRANSMISSION. UPON LEAVING THE SHOP THE CAR FELT BETTER, BUT STILL HAD A SHAKE TO IT, ESPECIALLY ON HILLS. I CALLED COLONIAL FORD AND NOTIFIED THEM IT NEEDED TO BE FIXED AGAIN (THIS WAS FOUR DAYS AFTER I PICKED IT UP FROM BEING FIXED) THEY TOLD ME IT WAS FIXED TO "THEIR STANDARD" AND THE SPUTTER IS "ALWAYS GOING TO KIND OF BE THERE". MY CONCERN IS MY SAFETY, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE AT ALL DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND I DO NOT WANT TO ENDANGER ANYONE ELSE ON THE ROAD. RETURNED TO FORD DEALER ON 11/03/14 AT 34,540 MILES FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AGAIN, LOW SPEED CHATTERING DURING TAKE OFF AND SHIFTS, GEARS NOT ENGAGING,SLIPPING ON ACCELERATION, UNSMOOTH HARSH SHIFTING, LOSS OF POWER, JERKS AND SHUTTERS, ROLLS BACKWARDS ON INCLINES. CAR IS UNPREDICTABLE AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE. CAR WAS DIAGNOSED AGAIN AS NEEDING TRANSMISSION WARRANTY REPAIRS. CLUTCH PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER POSSIBLY UNTIL 11/28/14. WAS INFORMED THAT FIESTAS HAVE HAD FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS SINCE 2011. FORD REPLACES THE CLUTCH ALONG WITH OTHER RELATED PARTS WITH THE SAME "NEW" FAULTY CLUTCH. FORD HAS NOT FOUND A SOLUTION FOR THIS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM, THEY ARE JUST REPLACING WITH SAME FAULTY PARTS THAT ARE EXPECTED TO FAIL AGAIN IN APPROXIMATELY 10,000 MILES. FORD IS BANDAGE FIXING MY FIESTA TRANSMISSION, LEAVING THE CAR AT HIGH RISK OF UNSAFE TRANSMISSION ISSUES TO CONTINUE TO HAPPEN. THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH THE FORD FIESTA IS A WELL KNOWN AND DOCUMENTED PROBLEM FOR FORD, I WISH I KNEW THIS BEFORE I BOUGHT MINE.
