In September 2022, my vehicle wouldn’t shift. I took it to Leith Ford in Wendell, NC, who stated it was a faulty Transmission Control Module, and that part is backordered, up to a year! I was told I could park it next to the others who had the same problem. I took the car to my home rather than leaving it at the company for a year, and it stalled out twice while driving. Now it will have to be towed when the part comes in.
Car stopped shifting in middle of highway. My safety was put at risk as it stopped moving on a busy road. Had to have towed to nearest shop, was told dual clutch system failed. Warning was “transmission malfunction service now”.vehicle is available for inspection, Ford refuses to compensate for faulty parts. Plenty of recalls for other models with same parts. Known issue for this model of vehicle per company and recalls from 3 years ago.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, the transmission independently shifted into neutral(N). The contact stated that the transmission malfunction service now warning light was illuminated. The contact continued to experience the failure while driving to his residence. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the transmission control module to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,015.
I bought my 2016 Ford Fiesta in 2019 at 49k miles. Since I have had my car, my car battery would die randomly and my car would fail to detect my key. Recently, when my car hit about 98k miles, my car died again and I needed to buy another new battery. Once the battery was replaced, the “service transmission now” sign began to show on the dash. My car will refuse to accelerate past 35 mph and will slow down to 0 mph. Found this out the hard way, on the freeway. My mechanic said I need a Transmission Control Module but the dealerships say the part I need is on back order. Another mechanic said the part itself is faulty and to NOT BUY another TCM. These are the following codes that returned on my car: P0606-00, P0702-00, UO401-00, UO131-00, UO420-86, UO101-00, UO140-00, U3003-16, UO193-00, U3006-16, V0427-68, B1007-94, UO121-87, VO127-87, UO140-87, B1C45-24, P0606 As of right now, there is no recall, so my car isn’t covered under the warranty. My 2016 Ford Fiesta was manufactured in November 2015.

I should have an open recall for the coolant reservoir however it isn’t coming up at any Ford dealerships. There’s an issue with the OEM Khalid reservoir that comes in this vehicle and it’s leaking fluid.

The lug studs have "swollen" making it impossible to change a tire. I was told both by the tow truck driver who showed up to change the tire, and the tire shop where I took the car, that this is a known issue with this make/model and that you have to take it to a Ford dealership to be addressed.

The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000.
Driving at highway speeds and transmission goes into neutral unexpectedly. Loses power steering at this time also. This also occurs now at any speed. With this occurring there is a high probability of an accident that can lead to serious injury including death. Ford has known of this issue with these vehicles and will not recall them and fix the problems. The government needs to take this matter up and force Ford to fix the unsafe vehicles.

The contact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer who diagnosed that the power train control module (PCM) needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
Defected transmissions were installed on these cars. Ford recalled the least number with the least loss, but they kept the rest with their defected transmissions which cost more money than the car’s value. Ford sold their cars with defected transmissions and they knew it!

The manufacturer opened a case and referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 73,720.
Lug Nuts! They have swelled due to cheap product putting chrome over steel. Have to replace as mechanic can't get tires off. These could have cracked while driving, which would have put pressure on other lug nuts, maybe causing tires to fall off while driving. Being replaced with manufacturers lug nuts so it's going to happen again.
Transmission shutters and shifts late sometimes during acceleration from a stop. Lawsuit settled with Ford states 2016's are covered but dealership says its only up to 2015, which is the date of manufacturer on my vehicle. Vin check also does not show recall, but clearly states in lawsuit 2011 to 2016 are affected.

While driving car suddenly jerked wheel out of drivers hands and almost pulled the car into a ditch on the right side. Lights on the dash say steering assist unavailable service now. There has been a recall on Ford cards with this EPAS system but somehow this system has still not been fixed and is going to kill more people if your agency keeps allowing it to not be a total recall on all vehicles with this system installed.
My Ford fiesta suddenly exploded the seat's ventilation and my seatbelts tore off, so i crashed into a semi at the speed of 191 km/h
Alarm is constantly going off which means I don't know if it's a real intruder or just the door ajar switch, recall affected up until 2015 but the issue keeps going into 2016 ford fiestas, this is a safety issue as we cannot tell if someone is breaking into the car

Car shutoff while driving on the highway
There is a problem with certain module of the transmission, whenever you change/replace the battery, once you start the car again, it shows a system alert telling you " damaged transmission, immediate maintenance required". The car starts to act weird, it is not capable to switch gears and the transmission is not working properly overall. I've tried to approach the car dealer which is an official representative/branch of Ford and they are charging for the programming of the module whenever this happens( twice already). I strongly believe that we as a Ford owner shouldn't have to pay for something that is an error from the manufacturer.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY CARS THROTTLE BODY STOPPED FUNCTIONING. HAVING TO TRY AND PULL OVER I GOT STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND STARTED IT AGAIN AND EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE. DURING THE SAME TRIP HOME I GOT STUCK ON A SMALL TWO LANE BRIDGE TWICE FOR THE SAME REASON. AFTER GETTING OFF THE BRIDGE IT HAPPENED A FOURTH TIME ON THE HIGHWAY AGAIN DOING 70MPH.
ORIGINALLY, SINCE PURCHASE, EVERY TIME I FILLED UP THE VEHICLE IT WILL SUDDENLY JOLT OR JERK AND THE RPMS WOULD DROP TO THE HALF MARK THEN IT WOULD RUMBLE WHILE NOT IN MOTION. RECENTLY, THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING THE ABOVE ISSUES WHEN THE TANK IS NEAR EMPTY. I HAVE NOT NOTICED IT AT ANY OTHER TIME AS OF YET BUT I AM ASSUMING THAT IT WILL GET WORSE. FORD DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD ME IN THE PAST THAT THEY WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE UNLESS THE ISSUE IS PRESENT DURING THERE CHECK IN PROCESS.

THE CLUTCH PEDAL GETS STUCK ABOUT AN INCH OFF THE FLOOR AFTER BEING DEPRESSED AT SEEMINGLY RANDOM TIMES USUALLY IN THE WARMER WEATHER MONTHS. THIS HAS CAUSED ME TO LOSE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE GEARS AND LOSS OF ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. IT DOES NOT COME OUT OF THIS POSITION UNTIL I PHYSICALLY PULL THE PEDAL OFF THE FLOOR. I HAVE HAD INCIDENTS WHERE I HAVE BEEN STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION UNABLE TO MOVE WHERE I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON ISSUE AND IS NOTED IN MANY FIESTA ST FORUMS.
