I was recently in an accident where at a speed of approximately 50 mph I rear ended someone who was stopped on the highway. At this time my airbags did not deploy, which I believe to be a manufacturing failure. I hit my head on the steering wheel and since the accident have been experiencing major neck and back pain, for which I am seeing a chiropractor. I believe that I should be granted compensation for the physical, emotional, and financial burdens that this total loss accident has put me under.
My clutch causes the car to stutter when accelerating. My focus has already had a clutch replacement under warranty. I am now at 76k miles and my car has started stuttering again.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving approximately 5 mph and making a left turn when another vehicle crashed into the front passenger side of her vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustain a soft tissue bruise on her left knee and did seek medical attention at the emergency room. The contact also stated the other driver sustain a small laceration on his left arm but was not aware of any medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 59,280. The consumer provided photos of the vehicle and injuries.
My 2017 Ford Focus engine is stalling without warning. The engine will cut off totally without warning, anytime, anywhere. This is life threatening. So dangerous Also after putting gas in my tank, the car will not start at all And this problem is identical to the cars that are recalled #19S22. My 2017 Ford Focus apparently was build May 2, 2017, Less than a month after the recall cut off date of April 17, 2017. My Ford Focus has all the same problems as the recalled Ford Focus 2017. I could be killed driving my 2017 Ford Focus and I shutter to think about what could happen. My car dealership just keeps repeating that my 2017 Ford Focus is not recalled. Unable to get any serious attention about this problem by the Ford dealership or Ford Motor Company. The fact that my Ford Focus is not included in the really, no one is of any help. I'm reporting it now to you that my 2017 Ford Focus is a life threatening vehicle and needs to be reported as a serious safety hazard immediately
My husband and I bought a 2017 Ford Focus in April 2017. It had 9 miles on the car. within 6 months after purchase we had to get the automatic/manual clutch replaced. Then two more times after that within the next year. We still have the problems with that part. Which is recalled but my VIN number does not show it as a recall. Then last year in Fall 2021 we took the car in for oil change and engine light on and found out the Canister Purge Valve for the gasoline had failed and needed to be replaced. Which is also under a recall and of course my VIN number shows nothing. My car will not start after I put gasoline in it and I have to push my gas pedal to rev it up then when I put it in drive and to hit gas pedal it dies. So why cant I get these parts fixed on my 2017 Ford Focus when they are clearly a recall. I also have documentation at home and at the dealership where everything has been completed since we have gotten the car.
This vehicle has had 3 transmissions replaced within the 36,000/3 year warranty. It now has 46,000 miles on it,no warranty and is need of another transmission replacement,as it shudders violently, stalls or surges upon stopping.i have reached out to Ford Motor Co. And no one will offer any type of help for repairs,or in getting me out of this death trap and into a safer vehicle,as they are well aware of the known issues per class action lawsuits. My only other option at this point is to file bankruptcy on this vehicle unless you can help me.
sputtered and stalled out on me multiple times on highway and side roads.
My 2017 Ford focus, after fill up the gas tank had difficulty to start on. . I went to the dealer about this issue because the check engine light has pop up, and had the issue each time when fill up the tank. They has told me that the issue was with the CANISTER PURGE VALVE, and will need replace it. I did and pay almost $400. I found in internet the below link that show: FORD MOTOR COMPANY ISSUES RECALL IN NORTH AMERICA FOR SELECT 2012-18 FORD FOCUS VEHICLES FOR MALFUNCTIONING CANISTER PURGE VALVE. https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2018/10/25/ford-motor-company-issues-recall-in-north-america-for-select-201.html For me is to much casual that my car in the same range of the year have the issue with the same part reported. Dealer has told me that my car do not have any recall but i think Cars like mine, have the same issue. On multiple occasions while driving on highways with speed limits 55 or greater the vehicles suddenly de-accelerated rpm dropping to 1-2 rpms and suddently without warning then accelerating to 7-8 rpms, cars and trucks. Appears that the transmission gears were switching without warning and without operator shifting. Took vehicle into John F. Kennedy Ford in Conshohocken Pa., they replaced clutch plate, then we experience the symptom even words on highway, while operating a 55mph with car suddenly de-accelerating. Car under extended ford warranty 60k miles. John F. Kennedy Ford dealer in Conshohocken and Ford Corporate after calls to customer service corporate line speaking to supervisor refuses to repair the vehicle because they say they can not recreate the problem. (witness was present during each incident other than driver) Incidents occurred 09/05/2021 on NJ Expressway and 09/12/2021 on Pa Highway (09122021 occurred after clutch plate was repaired to "fix the problem" My personal opinion is that Ford customers are going to die on the highways if this problem continues. It is extremely dangerous and unsafe due to uncontrolled rapid de-acceleration on the highways.
The transmission shudders when accelerating, I have also temporarily lost control of my vehicle when merging onto a highway.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the engine had experienced rough idling and stalling. On several occasions, the vehicle would not immediately restart. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and a local dealer who both diagnosed that the canister purge valve was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact was informed that the vehicle was included in the NHTSA campaign number 19V515000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
My transmission has been slipping ever since I bought it a yr ago in 2020. It is a 2017 Ford Focus. A few days ago it started making occassional whining sounds. I drove to work and engine light came on and it wouldn't start. Mechanic got it started, moving shifter and rolling it a bit. I drove to shop and they said transmission problem. My friend showed me her 2015 extd warranty on tranny clutch. Ford must not have fixed the problem. I also rode in a 2018 today which she said was also slipping. Do we need another multi lawsuit?
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle was shuddering while decelerating. In addition, the accelerator pedal was depressed however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was depressed several times before the vehicle started to operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transaxle dash clutch and fly wheel needed to be replace. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated while parked or while driving approximately 5 MPH, the power steering malfunction warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and diagnosed with power steering rack failure. The vehicle was then taken to a local independent mechanic and the failure was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 32,000.
In June of 2021 my car started shuddering when shifting into 1st and 2nd gears. I am a very cautious, defensive driver but had to really baby the car to try to avoid the shuddering and learned to shift around 9 mph for 1st gear and 19 mph for 2nd gear. However as the year progressed, the issue became worse and had to schedule a diagnostic test at Roush Ford in Hilliard Ohio in December which cost me $150, and place not only a financial burden upon me but also those who had to help me get to and from the dealership and appointments and church. Then in January 2022, my car was in the shop for 8 days while Roush Ford repaired the transmission by replacing the clutch that Ford continues to use in the vehicles even knowing it is a problem, which cost me $778.51. This has been going on since 2013 when there was a class action lawsuit for the Ford Focus between 2013 and 2016. Now there is another one for the same Ford Focus from 2017 to 2019. My car wasn't even 4 years old when the problem originated and had less than 59,000 miles on it. I only made last year $1,032 per month so this was a huge burden as well as a huge inconvenience for mevand my friends. Its amazing this problem did not cause any accident as I expected to be rearended every time I had to drive it. People were very annoyed with me and showed it with gesturing, honking, and zooming around me. When picking up the car after the repairs, the service coordinator informed me that they have a the clutches for this transmission in stock. That tells you something!!!!
I have had a problem with my Ford Focus for months. The car jerks, rattles and shakes when I am driving it. I have taken it back to Ford three times. January 2021, I attempted to get an appointment at Autonation Ford on Phillips Highway Jacksonville, FL. I was told that their repairman had COVID-19 and they could not service my car. I called again and was told that their transmission service man quit and that I had to take the car to Autonation Ford in Orange Park on the other side of Jacksonville. Time 1) I took the car to the dealer in Orange Park on March 16, 2021. They told me that it met specifications and they would not fix it under warranty. Time 2) April 14, 2021, I took it to Autonation Ford in Orange Park. I was told the same story. Time 3) June 17, 2021, I took it to Autonation Ford on Phillips highway In Jacksonville, FL. June 19, 2021, My husband [XXX] talked to the general manager [XXX]. He said he would get back to him in writing. He hasn’t. June 21, 2021, I talked to [XXX], the service person at Autonation Ford on Phillips Highway. He said I could pick up the car. He also said that the invoice wasn't complete and he would e-mail it to me. So far, I haven't received it. June 22, 2021, My husband [XXX] contacted Ford Customer Care and obtained a case number from [XXX]. ([XXX]) She said she could not at that time contact [XXX], but she would continue to attempt to contact him and get back to [XXX]. Attempts to contact her at [XXX] and get a written response have also failed. Each time I have been told that it is within specification and fixing it is not under warranty. I also have been told that it can be fixed now if I pay for it. The cost was estimated at $3,000. When it jerks jerks and shutters, it startles me and distracts me from attention on controlling the car. This condition is not safe. I am now mainly using my husband's Tesla. The vehicle only has 34,000 miles on it and I have to get the clutch replaced. I was driving on the highway when I suddenly received a "Transmission Fault Service Now" error. The forks also have to be replaced with this. The car has had regular servicing. I purchased it from a ford dealer when it had 17,000 miles on it. Consumer stated vehicle seems to have the same nhtsa campaign 18V845000.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated while at a stop light and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle started jerking. The contact stated that after several minutes the vehicle operated normally. On another occasion, while at a stop light, the contact started to accelerate however, the vehicle jerked and there was a delay before the vehicle shifted into gear. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the clutch was replaced, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the clutch needed to be replaced again. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V735000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. After fuel up the vehicle will stall when attempting to start and throw codes: p1450 and p0456. As well as try to stall and slower speeds and stops. After the engine light turns on the fuel gauge seems to have an incorrect reading.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle would not shift into gear. The contact stated that when she disengaged the accelerator pedal and depressed it again, she was able to drive the vehicle however, the warning message "Transmission Overheating, Stop Safely" appeared on the instrument panel. The contact veered to the side of the road, then the warning message "Transmission Hot, Wait Five Minutes" appeared on the instrument panel. The contact stated she waited and when she drove the vehicle, the warning message "Transmission Hot, Wait Five Minutes" reappeared. The contact stated she veered to the side of the road and waited. The contact stated she was able to drive the vehicle to her residence. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the transmission clutch A and transmission clutch B needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 9,700.
Once, my Ford Focus stalled while driving at about 35 mph. Good thing I was in a neighborhood. It could of been worse. I know it wasn’t the battery because I had just replaced it. Also at a later time after refueling it didn’t want to restart. Then the check engine light turned on. Code read P1450. I took it to the dealership and they said the purge valve needed to be replaced. I did some homework and read that Ford, in 2018 issued a recall for approximately 1.5 million select 2012-18 Ford Focus vehicles equipped with 2.0-liter GDI and 2.0-liter GTDI engines for a malfunctioning canister purge valve. However, my Ford Focus didn’t have that recall.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate after stopping for a while at a stoplight or in traffic. Additionally, the engine overheated on occasion. The contact turned off the vehicle and waited for the engine to cool down before restarting the vehicle in order for the vehicle to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the transmission fluid was burnt and had metal shavings in the fluid. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The approximate failure mileage was 120,095.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the "Service Engine" warning light illuminated. After refueling, the vehicle would not start until after several attempts, with the contact depressing on the accelerator pedal to start the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V515000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
My car stalled unexpectedly when I was parking it. For a while now, my car has jerked when I accelerate and sometimes shudders. My car stalled and died a few months back so I took it to the dealership and had it fixed. I soon realized, however, that the problem remained. I ignored it but my car stalled on me again and I had a hard time restarting it. I had just filled my gas tank up when it was running low and drove it for a while when the incident happened.
My 2017 Focus RS (build date 20 March 2017, purchase date 16 June 2017; 30234 miles) had the SRS light illuminated on the dashboard. This started as an intermittent issue about a year ago, and progressed to the point that recently the light is always illuminated. Ford provides for a "Safety Restraint System" warranty period of 5 years/60 k miles; my car is still within this coverage period. I decided to bring in the car to my local dealership Gosch Ford Escondido in Escondido, CA to have it inspected and repaired. A technician evaluated the issue and provided the following diagnosis on the service report: "VERIFIED AIRBAG LIGHT, CHECKED CODES, FOUND B0061:13 IN OSCM FOR PASSENGER PRETENSIONER, PERFORMED PPT, FOUND PRETENSIONER TO BE INTERNALLY OPEN. NEED TO REPLACE PRETENSIONER." However, the service department contacted me to inform that the repair would not be covered under warranty and that repairs would be at my cost. I have contacted Ford corporate customer service to escalate and am awaiting a response.
2017 Ford Focus. Less than 80,000 Miles. Without warning the vehicle losses power while driving and RPM's go up over 4000. Additionally as I approach intersections with my foot on the break preparing to stop, the RPM's, again go up over 4000 and the car lurches forward with foot on break. Emergency Transmission Fault, Service now - RED - on dash, came on after the second incident listed, does not stay on, comes on intermittently. Vehicle no longer goes into reverse. Contacted Ford Corporate 3 times. Opened Case CAS31827768J5S7L3 Known Transmissions issues with these model Fords
Failure of the encase power train transmission. Delay is shifting & transmission to shift gears gets stuck. COMPLETELY unsafe when pulling out into traffic. Driver is unsure if the transmission will engage or not. Unable to accelerate at times until transmission engages. Sounds like gears are being stripped on the automatic Transmission. Started in May 2021 & continues to happen daily.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON CODES 1450 AND 0456. HAD DEALER REPAIR. IT WAS CANISTER PURGE VALUE. THEY HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM WITH A DIFFERENT BUILD DATE BUT STATED THAT MINE WAS NOT A RECALL. I STILL HAVE CODE 0456 SHOWING.
DUAL CLUTCH FAILURE CODE PO706
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS COME BY THEMSELVES AND STAYS ON AFTER PARKING THE CAR, STATIONARY, ENGINE TURNED OFF FOR APPROX 30 MIN. 3 DAYS IN A ROW. DEALERSHIP REPAIRED IT FOR LABOR $450!! THE SAME FAULTY SYSTEM WAS IN A RECALL IN THIS TYPE OF CAR SOME YEARS AGO.
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS. MUCH LIKE A SIMILAR RECALL WITH THE ISSUE OF TRANSMISSION SEALS GOING BAD AND WETTING THE DRY CLUTCH PACK.
I bought my 2017 Ford Focus SE on [XXX] from Long McArthur Inc. 3450 S 9th St, Salina, KS 67401, 785-823-2237. About a year after buying it, it started to shudder and I was hearing a grinding sound. I was told it had some kind of energy efficient engine and I read it made seem to be stopping. That is what I thought it was. It got progressively worse. On [XXX] the clutch was replaced, 13370 miles. On [XXX] I reported the problem was still happening, 18274 miles. Mechanic notes "Measure clutch shudder got 5205 RPM, below spec for clutch replacement. Power train warranty expires [XXX]. Bring back before it expires and we will check again." I did not take it back in because it didn't seem as bad. But since December of 2023 it has gotten worse. It hesitates when going from a stop to a start. On [XXX] I was pulling into traffic from a stop and it hesitated for about 4-5 sec and then bounced forward and went. I was nearly hit by 2 cars. On [XXX] I called the service department at Long McArthur, the person I talked to said to replace the clutch it would be $2,700.00. He said it will probably go right out. He suggested getting rid of it. This is a know defect by Ford, recall Campaign/NHTSA#18S07/18V169 Issue Date 2018-03-12. I was never notified of this recall. Not from the dealer or Ford. The problems started with the 2015 models. Current miles 24,574. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
WHERE THE REAR TAIL-LIGHT ASSEMBLY MATE WITH THE CAR BODY THERE IS A RUBBER SEAL/GASKET IN BETWEEN THE SCREW OF THE ASSEMBLY AND THE HOLE ON THE CAR BODY, TO PREVENT WATER LEAKING INTO THE CAR. THE RUBBER SEAL GOES BAD QUICKLY, AND WATER LEAK INTO THE TRUNK WHILE PARKED AND CAUSE WATER DAMAGE TO ALL THE COMPONENTS AROUND AND IN THE SPARE WHEEL WELLS. THIS ALSO MEAN IT CAN CAUSE WATER DAMAGE TO CAR BODY PREMATURELY. FORD DOES NOT EVEN SELL THIS RUBBER SEAL TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND IF WATER LEAK INTO CAR AND CAUSE DAMAGE THE ONLY WAY TO SOLVE IT IS TO BUY A WHOLE BRAND NEW TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that after the vehicle was stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal, and the transmission downshifted between first and third gear. An abnormal sound could be heard coming from the transmission. After driving a short distance, the vehicle functioned as intended. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH on a separate occasion, the transmission downshifted between third and fourth gear, and the vehicle went into limp mode. In addition, an abnormal sound could be heard coming from the transmission, and the vehicle jerked. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle most recently, the vehicle made an abnormal sound. The check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone for a diagnostic test, and the contact was informed that the failure may be related to the transmission clutch. Additionally, the contact stated that the fan had turned on independently, and had failed to turn on while driving on other occasions, causing the vehicle to overheat. The vehicle was taken to a collision center, where the contact was informed that the transmission was failing. The cooling system was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that an unknown sensor had failed, and the sensor was replaced. The contact stated that the transmission failure was worsening. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND IT SAYS TRANSMISSION HOT THAN SHUTS OFF. I GOT IT TOWED TO THE DEALER.I GOT A DIAGNOSTIC DONE TOO IT STATES IT'S THE CLUTCH
FAILED REPAIRS FOR RECALLS ON THE CAR. CODES SHOWING IN MY CAR ARE RELATED TO THE 02 SENSOR AND CANISTER PURGE VALVE. FORD HAS SERVICED MY VEHICLE BEFORE. HOWEVER, FOR THE 02 SENSOR ONLY A SOFTWARE UPDATE WAS DONE. THE CANISTRR PURGE VALVE WAS FIXED BEFORE I OWNED THE CAR BUT POTENTIALLY BOTH REPAIRS HAVE DAILED. IVE CONTACTED TWO DIFFERSNT DEALERSHIPS AND FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEYVE ALL REFUSED TO DO THE WORK. IVE HAD TO DRIVE MY CAR AS MINIMALLY AS POSSIBLE.
The Transmission is slipping and car won't reverse. This is practically a new car. I had it for only two years and it's not drivable.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would independently downshift. The contact also stated that the vehicle would jerk and hesitate upon the depression of the accelerator pedal with the "transmission fault service now," warning message displayed on the instrument panel. The contact also stated that on two occasions, the vehicle had stalled while traveling at highway speeds. The first time, the contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer; the second failure, the contact was able to slowly drive the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer replaced the transmission fork on the first visit and updated the PCM software on the second; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure but offered no assistance. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V845000 (Power Train). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated while his wife was driving 35 MPH, the vehicle started to hesitate and idle rough. THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL ON 2017 FORD FOCUS VEHICLES FOR AN ISSUE WITH THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE, WHICH CAUSES STALLING WHILE DRIVING AND SIGNIFICANT SAFETY CONCERNS. MY 2017 FORD FOCUS HAS THIS EXACT ISSUE. HOWEVER, WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO SCHEDULE A RECALL SERVICE REPAIR AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP, THEY STATED IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED DESPITE THE RECALL AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. SO FAR, I HAVE BEEN VERY LUCKY THAT MINE HAS ONLY STALLED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START IT AND WHILE DRIVING ON CITY ROADS NEAR MY HOME, RATHER THAN WHILE I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS ABLE TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM BEFORE I ENDED UP IN A VERY DANGEROUS POSITION. I HAD BEEN HAVING INTERMITTENT ISSUES FOR SEVERAL WEEKS BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. HOWEVER, BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO REPAIR IT, MY VEHICLE IS STILL UNSAFE UNTIL I CAN GET IT REPAIRED MYSELF.
MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I WENT TO GET IT CHECKED AND THE CODE WAS P1450 UNABLE TO BLEED UP FUEL TANK VACUUM WAS THE CODE SHOW UP. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN AND WHAT DO I DO?? THANKS
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered and the transmission inadvertently downshifted. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The transmission was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The transmission was replaced twice after the first failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 67,000.
THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS. MY FORD FOCUS NOT ONLY HAS WHEEL ISSUES EVERY OTHER DAY AFTER REPLACING THE TIRES SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THE STUTTERING PROBLEM I'VE REPORTED SEVERAL TIMES IS STILL A PROBLEM AND IS GETTING EVEN WORSE. NO ONE IS HELPING ME WITH THIS ISSUE. WHEN MY VEHICLE IS AT A STOP AND I PRESS THE GAS IS SHAKES AND STUTTERS. I WAS TOLD BY SEVERAL SHOPS THAT FORD HAS HAD LAWSUITS AND SEVERAL RECALLS OVER PEOPLE WHO HAD THE SAME EXACT ISSUE AND THEY REFUSED TO WORK ON THE CAR BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. THEY SAID THERE IS NO PART IS EXISTENCE THAT WILL FIX IT BECAUSE THEY CREATED IT THAT WAY. THIS IS BULL AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT.
Every time I stop the vehicle to fill up the gas tank there are massive issues getting it restarted I am being told it is a faulty cpv valve and there are a huge amount of Fords that are being recalled for these bad cpv valves also occasionally happens while driving
2017 FORD FOCUS - TRANSMISSION SHUTTERS AND HESITATES IN LOW GEARS UPON ACCELERATION. STARTED AT LESS THAN 20K MILES.
CAR SHUT OFF IN THE FREEWAY, SHUTTERS AND SHAKES WHEN TURNED ON AND RPM GOES UP TO 4,000 TO ACCELERATE. I CALLED MULTIPLE PLACES AND TALKED TO MULTIPLE FORD REPRESENTATIVES THAT WONT HELP ME AND OBVIOUSLY MY CAR IS A DANGER TO THE ROAD AND MYSELF. THEYRE MAKING ME PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A FORD PROBLEM.
ENGINE TIMING CHAIN COVER IS SEEPING OIL AFTER APPROXIMATELY 130,600 MILES. VEHICLE HAS BEEN MAINTAINED PER THE FORD MAINTENANCE MANUAL AND HAS NEVER MISSED A SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE EVENT.
I PURCHASED MY FORD FOCUS MAY 2017 AS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE WITH ONLY 12 MILES ON IT. IN TWO YEARS, I BEGAN TO FEEL A SHUDDER WHENEVER I STARTED TO DRIVE FROM A STOP. THE SHUDDER WAS ON AND OFF FOR A MONTH AND INCREASINGLY GOT WORSE. I TOOK MY VEHICLE INTO FORD, JULY 2019. THEY STATED THAT MY CLUTCH WENT BAD AND I NEEDED TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. SINCE THIS IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE I WAS SURPRISED IT WAS ALREADY HAVING SUCH A MAJOR ISSUE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STAFF NOTIFIED ME THAT THIS PROBLEM IS COMMON WITH FORD FOCUS'S. A YEAR IN A HALF LATER, I BEGAN TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUES AND SYMPTOMS AGAIN. I CALLED FORD TO NOTIFY THEM IN DECEMBER 2020, HE STATED IT MAY BE THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVE TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND GOT MY VEHICLE REPAIRED FOR THE SAME CLUTCH ISSUE THAT WAS REPLACED ORIGINALLY. THIS WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I WAS INFORMED THAT ONCE MY WARRANTY EXPIRED THEY WILL NO LONGER COVER THE COST FOR MY REPAIRS ON THE CLUTCH IF IT WENT BAD AGAIN. THIS WOULD RESULT IN ME PAYING $2,300 EACH TIME IT NEEDED A REPAIR. GIVEN THE TWO CLUTCH REPLACEMENTS WITHIN 3.5 YEARS OF HAVING THIS BRAND NEW CAR, I WAS UPSET SINCE THIS SEEMED TO BE AN ISSUE THAT SHOULDN'T BE OCCURRING. I LOOKED UP RECALLS ON 2017 FORD FOCUS'S AND FOUND THE RECALL NUMBER 18V845000 & 18V169000 (18S07). THESE TWO RECALLS SPECIFICALLY MENTION THE TYPE OF ISSUE I'VE HAD TWICE WITH THIS NEW VEHICLE WITHIN 1.5 YEARS OF EACH OTHER. ITS STATES THE SNOWBALL EFFECT OF DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE WITH THE CLUTCH FRACTURS. I CALLED 800 NUMBER TO FORD REGARDING THIS MATTER AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO ASSIST ME UNTIL THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS THREE TIMES. I AM APPALLED SINCE A NEW VEHICLE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THREE TIMES FOR ASSISTANCE. THIS IS A SERIOUS LIFE-THREATENING MANUFACTURES DEFECT, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO KEEP PAYING, EVEN AFTER WARRANTY.
