My car just stalls when gas get below a quater tank of gas and when getting gas car wont start after gas gets in tank needs a couple of tries before it starts without stalling yesterday we were driving we had 31 miles on dash the car died out in middle of road wouldnt start walked to gas station to get gas my car has every problem that there is a recall for same vehicle..
Suddenly, the vehicle will stall only after it's been fueled. I've read reports of this being common in lots of Ford vehicles with it having something to do with a fuel filter or emissions. The vehicle continues to run and drive but I fear it will continue to do worse. My only option currently is to leave the vehicle running while being fueled.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the "Transmission Failure, Service Immediately" message appeared on the instrument panel. The contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer where she was informed that the electrical wiring was soy based, which attracted rodents to chew on the wires. The contact stated prior to the failure, the oxygen sensor warning light had appeared on the instrument panel and was serviced by the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a complaint was filed. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
Engine shudders and sometimes stalls out when accelerating from complete stop and from low speed. Shudders also after changing gears or when trying to accelerate quickly like to change lanes. Especially after being driven more than about 50 miles without stopping. Has to be cranked 2 or 3 times after fueling and engine will only stay on if accelerator is pressed almost to the floor. Check engine light comes on and goes off randomly.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V905000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and decelerated unintendedly. The check engine, oil, and engine failure warning lights were illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired three times, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.
I bought my car on July 12, 2019 and had a PCM issue few months after that was messing with the transmission. it was covered under factory warrenty. Now 18 months later im having the same transmission issue but with a different code.. (P07A5) which is something internal. there should be a recall for this transmission cause i cant keep spending money to have this fix
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shuddered and hesitated while shifting gears. The contact stated that there was an abnormally loud sound coming from the transmission. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed however, there was nothing needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was relating the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 18V845000 (Power train). The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact they could not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 25,225.
My car has stalled immediately after putting gas in my car the last two times I've put gas in my car. The last time was May 16, 2021. My car stalls two or three times after I put gas in it. After it starts the idle is rough and will even stall again after running rough for a bit. The potential danger there is that it will stall after leaving the gas pump. I assumed it was the fuel system because the issues I'm getting match the issues that led to a recall of other cars like mine. There are no warnings when this happens.
EVERY SO OFTEN WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR SORT OF SHUDDERS. I'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THE CAR BEFORE AND KNEW IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. I'VE ALSO HAD TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR I HAD PREVIOUS TO THIS ONE WHICH WAS A 2014 FORD FOCUS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS IS NORMAL FOR TRANSMISSIONS TO ACT THIS WAY, BUT IT HAS HAPPENED WAY TOO OFTEN TO BE NORMAL.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V905000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle lost motive power and decelerated. The check engine, oil, and engine failure warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road and restarted. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired three times, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 48,000.
I WENT ON A TRIP AND THE TRANSMISSION WOULD JUMP AND BUCK IN FIRST AND SECOND GEAR AND I ALSO HEAR GRINDING NOSES WHEN IT STARTS JUMPING CALLED DEALERSHIPS AND WAS TOLD I WAS NOT COVERED ON THIS YEAR MODEL
OUR 2018 FORD ESCORT HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS DESCRIBED IN: NHSTA CAMPAIIGN #18V7350000 RECAL ID 298184 BUT THIS VIN IS NOT ON RECALL. WE PULLED OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND THE CAR JUST DIED LUCKILY IT WAS NOT ON A HIGHWAY. WE NEED TO KEEP THE TANK AS CLOSE TO FULL AS POSSIBLE AND FILL THE GAS TANK AT THE COOLEST PART OF THE DAY AND IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET THE CAR STARTED. ONE TIME AFTER FILLING THE TANK WE HAD TO WAIT 15 MINS AND THE CAR RAN FINE THEN IT JUST DIED, NEARLY GETTING REAR ENDED BY A TRACTOR TRAILER. THAT WAS ON 4-20-21 AND OTYHER TIMES BEFORE.
HI I TOOK MY CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE 2018 FORD FOCUS HAS THE SAME CLUTCH AS THE OLD 2012-2016 FORD FOCUSES AND THAT THEY'LL CHANGE THE CLUTCH AND THAT THEY'RE IS NO REAL FIX. I SEEN THAT THE 2012-2016 FORD FOCUS HAS A RECALL FOR THE TRANSMISSION HOWEVER THE 2018 DOESN'T HAVE A RECALL THROUGH THE NHSTA AND IT IS THE SAME TRANSMISSION AND THAT THE DEALER SAYS PEOPLE NEED TO NOTIFY THE NHSTA AS IT IS A RECURRING PROBLEM AND THAT THEY CHANGE MANY CLUTCHES AND TRANSMISSIONS ON THE 2017-2018 AND THAT THE PROBLEM KEEPS PERSISTING THE SAME AS THE 2012-2016 MODELS. THE TRANSMISSION WILL SLIP FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR, THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATES, AND THE TRANSMISSION WILL ALSO GRIND WHILE DRIVING.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle stalled randomly. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic where it was diagnosed with needing the transmission replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V735000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000.
CONSTANT INCONSISTENT SHIFTING OF THE TRANSMISSION, ALONG WITH A PAUSE ON OCCASION WHEN YOU GO TO ACCELERATE ACROSS AN INTERSECTION.
On 3-28-21 I got an oil change. Shortly after my engine light came on with error code p1450 which it didn't have beforehand. We first took the car to a mechanic and he said that the code is consistent with a known recall for that year and model for a problem with the fuel system. We took it to a Ford dealership to get an evaluation done and they confirmed that the problem was consistent with the recall the mechanic mentioned however there is no recall for my VIN number. When we put gas in the tank and turn it on again, the engine stalls. It runs rough when idle and sometimes has a problem getting up to speed from sitting at traffic lights.
I WAS BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE IN A PARKING GARAGE WHEN THE STEERING LOCKED UP ON THE VEHICLE. I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO DRIVE THE CAR. THERE WAS NO MESSAGE OR ALERT ON THE VEHICLE DASH. I HAD TO WRESTLE THE STEERING WHEEL WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY TO GET THE CAR IN POSITION TO BE TOWED, AS THE VEHICLE WAS UNDRIVEABLE. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THAT THE ELECTRIC ASSIST POWER STEERING RACK HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS 2 MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY, I HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR ($2,840). IF THE STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE, AN ACCIDENT COULD HAVE OCCURRED.
Vehicle stalles, stutter on startup.evap faults. Problem with the canister purge valve. Seems the car has some recalls issues.
I began having issues with my car engine in March of 2021. I talked to a mechanic friend of mine who did and check online and found out that there was a recall for 2018 Ford Focus vehicles. I contacted Darcars Ford of Lanham in Lanham, MD and told the Service Director (NAME UNKNOWN) this information and he stated that there was no recall for my particular VIN. My car engine seized up and was undrivable. I had to pay to get my vehicle towed to Darcars and also pay approximately $600 for them to check out my car. I had to get a whole new engine which cost close to $5,000. I didn't have the money to fix it and Darcars stated that I didn't have a warranty so I would have to come out of pocket for all of it. I was unable to drive my vehicle for approximate 6 MONTHS due to this issue. Luckily, I drove for LYFT part-time and I was able to rent a car thru them so I could continue going to work and taking my daughter to school. Eventually, I was able to save up enough to purchase a brand new engine and have it installed. I would like to know how I can be reimbursed for my purchase? This recall was a MAJOR inconvenience in my life and set me back substantially. Any assistance would be deeply appreciated.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact stated that on two occasions while driving approximately 45 MPH, the oil warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was not been diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000.
FUELED THE VEHICLE AND DROVE IT LATER AND IT STALLED. WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. IT IS A 2018 WITH ONLY 26,000 AND WE OWNED IT A WEEK. BOUGHT FROM WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS A REPUTABLE DEALER. HILLYERS FORD
THE VEHICLE IS HARD TO START AFTER I WORK A 10 SHIFT. AFTER IT IS STARTED, IT RUNS ROUGH AND TRIES TO DIE. THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT TO STOP RUNNING ROUGH IS TO GET IT TO HIGHWAY SPEED FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES. I HAVE TO REV THE ENGINE UP WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE JUST TO GET GOING. IT HAS TRIPPED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE TO HAVE THEM CHECK THE CODE. IT SAYS THAT IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE CANNISTER PURGE VALVE. I HAVE INCLUDED THE REPORT FROM AUTO ZONE. I ALSO DID A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET FOR 2018 FORD FOCUS RECALLS AND IT CAME BACK WITH THE CANISTER PURGE VALVE. APPARENTLY MY ENGINE HASN'T MADE IT INTO THE RECALL YET BECAUSE NOTHING CAME UP WHEN I SEARCHED MY VIN. I AM AFRAID THAT I AM GOING TO TRY TO CROSS A ROAD AND THE ENGINE DIES RIGHT IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
ALL FOUR ORIGINAL TIRES REPLACED, BALANCED AND FRONT END ALIGNMENT COMPLETED 11/23/20 AT PEP BOYS. THE NEW PASSENGER FRONT AND REAR TIRES DEVELOPED SIDEWALL 2 INCH "BUBBLES" OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS AND I HAVE REPLACED THE FRONT PASSENGER AT MY EXPENSE. THE REAR PASSENGER (SHOWN IN THE PHOTO) HAS YET TO BE REPLACED. THE FRONT SIDEWALL BUBBLE POSSIBLY WAS DUE TO SLIGHT ABRASION BUT SHOULD NOT HAVE OCCURED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE MAKING RIGHT TURN, HE HEARD AN ABNORMAL SOUND AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DROVE TO HIS DAUGHTER'S RESIDENCE WHERE HE REPLACED THE STEERING FUSE. THE CONTACT THEN DROVE TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ELECTRIC MOTOR AND THE STEERING GEAR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED WALT SWEENEY FORD (5400 GLENWAY AVE, CINCINNATI, OH 45238, (513) 922-4500) AND WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,100.
First the car engine light came on. Auto put on computer said it's was a emissions thing ..Now Everytime I put gas in it the car stalls and it is hard to keep it going. Also when pulling out it will jerk like the transmission is falling out

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
MY CANISTER PURGE VALVE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY BUT IT SHOULD BE. MANY PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ONLINE AND THE DEALERSHIP ITSELF CONFIRMED A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM.
CAR KEEPS IDLING UP AT A STOP OR WHEN I SLOW DOWN SKIPS AND ACTS LIKE ITS GONE CUT OFF WHEN IT DOES IDLE DOWN
SOMETIMES WHEN I RUN THE CAR EARLY OFF IN THE MORNING I USUALLY LET IT WARM UP. BUT EVEN THOUGH I DO THAT IT SEEMS LIKE IT KIND OF LIKE STRUGGLES IF I ACCELERATE SLOWLY, AND I'M DOING SO IT KIND OF LIKE JERKS THE VEHICLE FORWARD A COUPLE TIMES UNTIL IT JUST CLICKS. THAT'S FOR THE,FOR THE SPEED CONTROL I THINK I PUT IT UNDER. AS FOR THE OTHER ISSUE I WILL TAKE IT TO AUTOZONE AND I NEEDED TO GET CODES BECAUSE MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. AND NOW I'M WONDERING IF IT'S UNDER RECALL, BECAUSE THE CODE P0456, EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS SYSTEM AND IT SAYS THERE'S SMALL LEAK OR IT'S CONSIDERED A SMALL LEAK SO I'M JUST WONDERING BUT IF YOU GUYS CAN PLEASE TELL WHAT IT COULD BE THAT WOULD BE AWESOME
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AT VEHICLE START-UP. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INFORMED HIM THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A DEFECTIVE STUCK OPEN CANISTER PURGE VALVE. DAYS LATER WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER SOME TIME AND RESUMED NORMAL DRIVING. THE CONTACT THEN CALLED OURISMAN FORD LINCOLN OF ALEXANDRIA (6129 RICHMOND HWY, ALEXANDRIA, VA 22303) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) WHICH HE LINKED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 42,000. *BF
WHEN DRIVING, THE CAR WILL SHUTTER WHEN CHANGING GEARS. ALSO IN MARCH 2021, RADIO, BACKUP CAMERA AND USB PORTS STOPPED WORKING. DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND PAID OVER $800 FOR A NEW RADIO TO BE INSTALLED.
MY BOYFRIEND GOT THIS CAR APRIL 13 OF 2020 AND ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AFTER WE GOT IT IT STATTS ACTING UP... NOT SHOFTING OUT OF LOWER GEARS. SHUDDERING . WHEN YOU STOP AT A STOP LIGHT FOR TOO LONG AND GO TO TAKE OFF IT ALMOST STALLS. WE ALMOST GOT HIT BECAUSE OF IT! IT SOUNDS LILE GEARS ARE GRINDING OR LIKE WE ARE DRAGGING SOMETHING UNDER THE CAR. WE HAVE TAKEN IT IN TWOCE TO GET CHECKED AND THE FORST GUY THAT SROVE IT AROUND THE LOT SAIS SOMETHING WAS WRONG WOTH IT NUT AFTWR THEY HAD IT ON THE SHOP FOR ABOUT AN HOUR ANS A HALF THEY BRING IT BACK TO US THE SECOND TIME AND SAY NOTHING OS WRONG WOTH IT.... IT IS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE. IS STATTED OUT JUST NOT WAMTING TO SHIFT FROM SECOND GEAR NOW IT DOESNT EVEN WANNA SHIFT OUT OF FIRST MOST THE TIME. 45000 MILES. THERE SHOULD BE NO ISSUES WOTH THIS CAR.
MY CAR SHAKES, JERKS, DOES NOT WANT TO ACCERLATE OR SHIFT GEARS
WHEN COMING FROM A COMPLETE STOP AT A RED LIGHT UPON PRESSING THE GAS TO PUT YHE VEHICLE IN MOTION AGAIN , IT STALLS BEFORE TAKING OFF. THE AIRBAG UNDER THE STEERING WHEEL DEPLOYED WHEN MY KNEE BUMPED IT. WHEN PUTTING GAS IN THE CAR THE CAR WILL NOT START BACK UP , IT STARTS N TURNS OFF ON ITS OWN.
SCAN CODE P1450..ACCORDING TO FORD 1.28 MILLION OF THIS TYPE VEHICLE HAD A FAULTY GAS VACUUM VALVE (?) THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED. ALTHOUGH I'M HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM THE DEALER HAS STATED IT'S 'NOT THEIR PROBLEM'.
MY CAR HAS BEEN HAVING A ISSUE STAYING ON, IT CONSTANTLY HAS TO GET JUMPED AFTER I PUMPED GAS, WHILE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING THE CAR CUT COMPLETELY OFF. I'M HAVING A PROBLEM ALSO REVERSING AND ACCELERATION, MY CAR IS NOT GOING PAST 10 MILES. I ONLY HAVE 85000 MILES
WHEN I AM IN THE STOP LIGHT AND BEGIN TO RUN THE CAR, SOMETIME, WHEN THE CAR MAKE THE CHANGE OF FIRST SPEED TO SECOND SPEED, IT BEGIN TO TREMBLE (SHAKE).
Car was being driven on the interstate when the vehicle suddenly lost power, steering, and braking. My son was able to get the car over to the side of the road and stopped. After a few minutes he attempted to restart the car and received an display message that said Engine Service Now. We had the vehicle towed to a Ford Dealer where the problem was diagnosed as the Oil pump drive belt had failed which caused damage to the engine and turbo charger on the car. Failure occurred at 67,422 miles. Prior to the sudden loss of power there was no warning lights or indication that any thing was wrong with the car.
AFTER YOU COME TO A FULL STOP AND THEN YOU LET YOU FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND PRESS THE ACCELERATOR TO GO FORWARD, THE CAR SHAKES/TREMBLES. IT HAPPENS VERY OFTEN. DIDN'T PAY TOO MUCH MIND TO IT AT FIRST, BUT IT KEEPS HAPPENING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT A GAS STATION, AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START-UP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED SHE HAD TO ATTEMPTED TO START-UP THE VEHICLE FIVE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V735000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000.
A YEAR AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW THE CAR BEGAN TO 'SLIP' AND SHUDDER DURING ACCELERATION. THE CLUTCH WAS FOUND TO BE BAD AND WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. A YEAR LATER THE CAR IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME SYMPTOMS AND IS HAVING DIFFICULTY SHIFTING GEARS ESPECIALLY AT HIGH SPEEDS ON THE HIGHWAY. WAY TOO MUCH RPM IS REQUIRED FOR THE CAR TO FUNCTION AT HIGH SPEEDS.
Symptoms began 2020 with grinding and vibrating when automatic shift from A stop to first gear especially on inclines. Dealer inspected transmission and found excessive clutch residual, replaced the duel clutch, cleaned clutch housing, and reset the transmission 11-17-2020. Symptoms have re started 2023. Clutch and transmission issues can lead to leaks and fire risk.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AFTER REFUELING. THE CONTACT STATED THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE PURGE VALVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
MY 2018 FORD FOCUS ST (~8K MILES) HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH RPMS SUDDENLY INCREASING WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. FOR EXAMPLE, TWO WEEKENDS AGO, I WAS SHIFTING FROM SECOND GEAR TO THIRD GEAR AND MY CAR WENT UP BY 3000 RPMS AFTER I LET MY FOOT OFF THE THROTTLE. ON ITS OWN! THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN HAPPENING INTERMITTENTLY USUALLY WHEN THE CAR IS HOT (ABOUT AN HOUR OR SO RIDE) AND EXAGGERATED WHEN THE FLOOR HEATING IS ON. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A VALVE ISSUE BUT FOUND MULTIPLE FORUM POSTS WITH THIS EXACT PROBLEM AND HOW A LOT OF ST OWNERS WENT THROUGH MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS TO GET THEIR THROTTLE PEDAL ASSEMBLY REPLACED TO PERMANENTLY FIX THE PROBLEMS. HERE ARE THE LINKS TO THE FORUM POSTS: HTTPS://WWW.FOCUSST.ORG/THREADS/RPMS-ACTUALLY-INCREASE-ON-CLUTCH.128706/ AND HTTPS://WWW.CARGURUS.COM/CARS/DISCUSSION-T75504_DS901319. ALSO A VIDEO DEMONSTRATING THE ISSUE: HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=EQO2PH9KHLC (THE VIDEO IS REGARDING THE 2018 FOCUS RS WHICH HAS THE SAME PEDAL PARTS AS THE 2018 FOCUS ST). THIS HAS CAUSED PEOPLE ACCIDENTS AND I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO.
THE CARS EVAP SYSTEM HAS A LEAK
EVAP PURGE VALVE WENT BAD. THERE IS A RECALL ON FOCUSES 2012-2018 FOR THE PURGE VALVE BUT NOT MY PARTICULAR VIN. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 26 MONTHS. I DON'T EXPECT SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO GO BAD THAT SOON. REPAIR NOT COVERED UNDER THE EMISSIONS WARRANTY NOR THE POWER TRAIN. THIS DEFECT CAUSED MY ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON, THE CAR TO RUN ROUGH AND PROMPT SEVERAL ENGIN CODES.
EVERYTIME I GO TO GET GAS AND TRY TO RESTART MY CAR, CHECK BATTERY LIGHT POPS UP AND MY CAR WON'T FULLY START, AND EVER SINCE THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON, TODAY I HAD TO CALL SOMEONE GET A JUMP AT THE GAS STATION.

The contact was referred to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the power steering malfunctioned causing the steering wheel to become difficult to turn in either direction. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 30,000.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. SERVICE DEPT IDENTIFIED PROBLEM CODES P1450, P0456 WHICH ARE UNDER RECALL BUT THE VIN FOR MY CAR IS NOT UNDER RECALL. RECALL NOTICE WARNS, ENGINE COULD STALL AT ANYTIME! CALLED FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONS CENTER, NOTHING DONE BECAUSE VIN IS NOT UNDER RECALL. CANNOT DRIVE CAR BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE. ON FIXED INCOME, CANNOT PAY FOR REPAIR OUT OF POCKET. PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU.
