TAKATA RECALL. WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY IN JULY 2016 THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS. THE LETTER SAYS THE CAR IS DANGEROUS TO A PASSENGER. TWO YEAR WAIT FOR A DANGEROUS ISSUE IS TERRIBLE! NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
TAKATA RECALL IT HAS BEEN 2 YRS SINCE THE RECALL AND STILL HAVE NOT HAD THE ISSUE FIXED, WHEN I CHECK SAYS NOT REMEDY YET AND RECEIVE A LETTER SAYING TO NOT LET ANY ONE RIDE IN FRONT IN PASSENGER SIDE. REALLY WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A 5 PASSENGER CAR AND NO ONE CAN SIT IN FRONT. FORD NEEDS TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT OR SHOULD DISCONNECT THE AIR BAGS TILL THE PROBLEM CAN BE FIXED.
"TAKATA RECALL" - DESPITE REPEATED EFFORTS TO GET THE AIRBAG REPLACED THROUGH SEELYE FORD IN KALAMAZOO MI AS DIRECTED BY FORD RECALL NOTICES (FIRST NOTICE RECEIVED JULY 2016) THEY STILL HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DO IT. LATEST NOTICE RECEIVED IN JUNE 2018 INDICATED PARTS WERE ANTICIPATED IN 2ND AND 3RD QUARTERS OF 2018....STILL NOT AVAILABLE AS OF OCT 29, 2018- HAVE MADE REPEAT VISITS AND PHONE CALLS. HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO TRANSPORT ANY PASSENGERS IN THE FRONT SEAT SINCE RECEIVING THIS NOTICE OVER 2 YEARS AGO. CAN'T SELL IT WITHOUT THIS REPAIR - SO OVERALL A REAL MESS.
TAKATA RECALL I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED THAT MY CAR HAS A RECALL JULY 2016. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER 2018 AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM FORD THAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO REPAIR MY CAR. WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY CAR TO BE REPAIRED? ALSO, AM I ABLE TO SELL MY CAR WITHOUT THE REPAIRS?
TAKATA RECALL. THE THE MANUFACTURING HAS EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR RECALL REMEDY. I STARTED GETTING RECALL NOTICES ON THIS RECALL IN JULY 2016. I GOT A NOTICE FROM FORD IN SEPTEMBER 2018 THAT STATED THAT REPAIR IS NOW AVAILABLE AND TO HAVE REPAIRS MADE ASAP. I HAD MY FORD DEALER ORDER THE AIR BAG ON SEPTEMBER 17TH 2018. AS OF TODAY THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE AIR BAG. WHEN I CONTACT FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY TOLD ME TO WORK WITH MY DEALERSHIP. MY DEALERSHIP TELLS ME THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE UNTIL FORD SHIPS THE AIRBAG. FORD CONFIRMED THAT THE ORDER WAS MADE.
AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL NOTICE # 16S26 NHTSA RECALL 16V-384. RECEIVED FIRST LETTER INFORMING OF "POSSIBLE" RECALL IN JULY OF 2016. IN JUNE OF 2018 (TWO YEARS LATER) I RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER TELLING ME TO GO TO MY DEALER FOR THEM TO ORDER PARTS. I WENT TO MY LOCAL DEALER IN GOSHEN, INDIANA AND THEY TOOK THE INFORMATION AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL WHEN THE REPAIRS COULD BE MADE. IT IS JANUARY 2019 AND I HAVE NOT HEARD ONE WORD. THEY SAY THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE "YET". THIS IS RIDICULOUS. DON'T OFFER A RECALL IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO FIX THE VEHICLES.

TAKATA RECALL - I WAS NOTIFIED IN JUNE 2016 THAT THE AIRBAG HAD A POTENTIALLY DEADLY DEFECT. TO DATE, I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED CONCERNING CORRECTION OF THE DEFECT. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALER ONLY TO BE INFORMED THAT THE PART HAS NOT BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO THEM AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN CORRECTIVE ACTION WILL BE TAKEN. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE GIVEN THE NATURE OF THE DEFECT AND I BELIEVE I HAVE BEEN MORE THAN PATIENT WAITING FOR CORRECTIVE ACTION.

NONE OF THE DEALERS IN THE AREA ARE ABLE TO HAVE THE PARTS. WE'VE BEEN TRYING SINCE JUNE 2016 WHEN WE FIRST RECEIVED THE RECALL.
I HIT A SLICK SPOT ON THE ROAD AND THE ANTILOCK BRAKES ENGAGED. ONCE THEY ENGAGED, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND I HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. ONCE I GOT THE CAR TO STOP, I PUMPED BRAKES UP AND THEY SEEMED FINE UNTIL I GOT TO THE NEXT STOP SIGN. ALTHOUGH THE ABS DIDN'T ENGAGE, I STILL HAD NO BRAKES AND HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP. I PUMPED AGAIN AND GOT BRAKES BACK BUT THEY WERE SPONGY. THIS MORNING, I REMOVED THE ABS FUSE AND THE BRAKES WERE FINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 FORD FUSION. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE AND THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MECHANIC ADVISED HER NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE BRAKES BEING INOPERABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED AND NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,000.

ABOUT THE SAME TIME MY RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT THE LEATHER ON THE DASH LIFTED THAT WAS ATTACHED TO THE CAP HOLDING THE AIR BAG. I COULD NOT GET IT TO SLIP BACK SO NOW I HAVE AN OPENING ON THE DASH IN FRONT OF THE AIR BAG. I DID TAKE IT TO FORD THE SAID IT WAS NOT GOING TO OPEN UP ALL THE WAY UNLESS I HAD AN ACCIDENT. I AM STILL WAITING FOR A RECALL FOR THE AIRBAG TO BE FIXED BUT I FEEL THAT THIS WAS NOT A COINCIDENT THAT THE LEATHER LIFTED. I AM WORRIED THAT THE AIR BAG WILL DEPLOY AND SOMEONE IN THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WILL BE HURT. I KNOW THE CAR IS AN OLDER MODEL BUT I KEEP THIS CAR IN PERFECT CONDITION.

WHEN BRAKING HARD OVER A POTHOLE ON A CITY STREET, BRAKES ARE LOST AND PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR. THE BRAKES RETURNED BUT HAS BEEN LOW AND SOFT EVER SINCE. A MECHANIC SUGGESTED THERE'S AN ISSUE WITH HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) AND/OR AN ABS VALVE. ALSO, HE RECOMMENDS REPLACING THE HCU, WHICH IS OVER $550 FOR THE PART ALONE.
I AM REGISTERING THIS COMPLAIN BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN OVER ONE YEAR AND NO PARTS ARE OR AT LEAST NO PARTS ARE SAID TO BE AVAILABLE...THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED . THE CAR IS PARKED BECAUSE OF THE RISK TO OUR DAUGHTER AND WHOMEVER ELSE WOULD BE WITH HER.....ONE YEAR
TAKATA RECALL, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FORD IN JUNE OF 2016 STATING THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE TAKATA AIRBAGS IN MY CAR. I'VE TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO SCHEDULE AN AP'T. WITH FORD DEALER'S TO HAVE THEM REPLACED. I WAS TOLD EVERY TIME THERE WERE NO AIRBAGS AVAILABLE. WHAT SHOULD I DO ?

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS SPONGY AND ALLOWED THE BRAKE PEDAL TO TRAVEL TO THE FLOORBOARD BEFORE BEING ABLE TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED AFTER THE BRAKES WERE SERVICED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE BRAKE LINES WERE BLED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE ENCOUNTERED A ROUGH ROADWAY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE BRAKING FUNCTION WOULD DIMINISH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IF THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED SEVERAL TIMES, THE VEHICLE COULD THEN BE TURNED ON AND WOULD OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,000.

I WAS DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE FOR THE RED LIGHT MY BRAKE PEDAL HAD NO PRESSURE. I HAD TO PUSH IT HARD ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO GET THE CAR TO STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME THREE TIMES IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. IT IS VERY SCARY NOT KNOWING IF I WILL MAKE IT THROUGH THE LIGHT OR STOP SIGN WITHOUT HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME OR BEING HIT MYSELF. I HAVE HAD NO LEAKS, WARNING LIGHTS OR NOTICEABLE GRINDING SOUNDS. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE WHEN THE SNOW COMES. IN ADDITION, I HAVE RECEIVED NOTICE THAT MY PASSENGER AIR BAG IS DEFECTIVE. I QUESTION WHY IT IS ONLY THE PASSENGER.WHY WOULD FORD USE ANOTHER MANUFACTURER FOR THE OTHER AIRBAGS? IN CLOSING,WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG TO GET THESE PARTS? THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM!

AIR BAG IS LIFTED ON PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE & THE CEILING IS COMING DOWN IN THE REAR WINDOW. BOTH SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES.

I HAVE EXPERIENCED DANGEROUS BRAKING ISSUES IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING ENGAGEMENT OF THE ABS SYSTEM. IT FIRST HAPPENED ON WET ROADS NOT TOO LONG AFTER CHANGING BRAKES (ROTORS/PADS). A FIRM BRAKING WAS BEING DONE, BUT IT WASN'T ENOUGH TO KICK IN ABS UNTIL GOING OVER A PAINTED RR CROSSING SIGN ON THE ROAD. THE PAINT WAS SLIPPERY AND CAUSED THE ABS TO FIRE AND IMMEDIATELY IT FELT LIKE THE BRAKES WENT OUT ENTIRELY. PUSHING ALMOST TO THE FLOOR WOULD STOP THE CAR AND AT THAT POINT THEY BRAKES FELT STRONG. THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES. IT HAPPENED AGAIN A SECOND TIME WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN. I WAS GOING A BIT TO FAST INTO THE TURN AND THE ROAD WAS ROUGH. SAME SYMPTOMS. IT'S HAPPENED PROBABLY 4 OR 5 TIMES IN TOTAL. ONCE IT HAPPENED MAKING A RIGHT TURN INTO A BUSINESS. I WENT OVER A BUMP IN THE ROAD THAT YOU NORMALLY PAY NO ATTENTION TO (RAISED AREA WHERE A PIPE OR SOMETHING WAS DUG UP AND REPLACED, THEN PAVED OVER). THE IMMEDIATE LOSS OF PEDAL FIRMNESS AND BRAKING POWER CAUSED ME TO OVERSHOOT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENTRANCE. IF A CAR HAD BEEN EXITING, I WOULD HAVE HIT IT. MOST OF THE TIME THE PROBLEM RESOLVES ITSELF IN A DAY OR SO, BUT THE LONGEST LASTED ABOUT 5 DAYS. I'M HESITANT TO GET IT FIXED BECAUSE THE HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT IS VERY EXPENSIVE. INTERNET RESEARCH ALSO POINTS OUT THAT THIS VERY COMMON ISSUE IS BEING DIAGNOSED AS A FAILING MASTER CYLINDER AND MANY PEOPLE INDICATE THAT DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM. AS OF NOW, THIS IS NOT FIXED. I DRIVE MUCH MORE CAUTIOUSLY, ESPECIALLY IN SLIPPERY CONDITIONS.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE NO INFORMATION ON THE REPLACEMENT OF MY RECALLED AIR BAG I HAVE GRAND CHILDREN WHO RIDE IN THIS VEHICLE AND CONSIDER THIS A TERRIBLE TIME FRAME FOR REPLACEMENT
TAKATA RECALL I'VE CONTACTED 2 OF MY LOCAL DEALERSHIPS TO GET THIS RECALL DONE IN THE LAST YEAR, AND I KEEP GETTING THE SAME RESPONSE FORM THE DEALERSHIPS SAYING THEY DON'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT YET TO PREFORM THE RECALL.

I HAVE A 2008 FORD FUSION, ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO BRAKES WENT TO FLOOR WHILE DRIVING. ALMOST REAR ENDED GUY IN FRONT OF ME. HAD THE CAR LOOKED AT SEVERAL TIMES AT AUTO SHOPS TO BE TOLD IT WAS ABS CONTROL MODULE. ALMOST A 700$PART. LUCKILY THEY FOUND A NEWER USED ONE FOR ME. NEVER BUYING FORD AGAIN AFTER THIS

I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT AS OF JUNE 1, 2016, THERE IS A RECALL ON MY CAR'S PASSENGER AIRBAG.
