THE DRIVERS SIDE EXTERIOR DOOR DOES NOT WORK. I KNOW 2 OTHER CARS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. IT JUST GOES OUT. I NOTICE THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2012 FORD FUSIONS NOT 2011. THIS IS A SERIOUS HAZARD IF THERE IS A FIRE IN THE CAR OR AN ACCIDENT YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR. VERY DANGEROUS AND CLEARLY UNSAFE
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, IT SHUTS OFF. THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING, LOSS OF POWER STEERING, LOSS OF EVERYTHING. TURNED OFF IGNITION AND RESTARTED. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM.
I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2011 FUSION AS THE RECALL FOR THE 13'S AND 14'S DOOR LATCH RECALL. THIS JUST STARTED TODAY 8/16/2016, IF YOU TRY TO CLOSE THE PASSENGER DOOR NORMAL IT BOUNCES BACK AT YOU AND WILL NOT LATCH. IF YOU CLOSE IT VERY GENTLY IT LATCHES BUT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE VERY SOLID. THIS HAPPENED AS MY WIFE WAS PICKING UP OUR CHILD FROM SCHOOL. WHEN SHE WENT TO CLOSE THE DOOR IT JUST BOUNCED RIGHT BACK OPEN AT HER. PICTURES WOULD NOT DO MUCH GOOD IN THIS CASE AS THEY WOULD BE OF A DOOR EITHER OPEN OR CLOSED BUT I AM GOING TO TAKE A VIDEO OF WHAT IT IS DOING IF YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED IN VIEWING IT.
TAKATA RECALL PASSANGERS SIDE. I WOULD LIKE THE AIR BAG SHUT OFF. I AM VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH ANYONE RIDING IN THE FRONT SEAT. I EXHAUSTED ASKING FOR HELP FROM FORD, MY DEALER AND MY INSURANCE CO.
I HAVE A RECALL ON MY CAR FOR THE FUEL TANK AND THERE IS NO FIX AT THIS TIME. I NEED TO GET MY TAGS ON MY CAR BY NOVEMBER AND DONT KNOW IF I WILL BE ABLE TO.
WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MILES PER HOUR MY VEHICLE DECELERATE IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, MILES AWAY FROM HOME. I WAS ABLE TO PUT MY EMERGENCY FLASHERS ON AND MOVE OVER TO THE SHOULDER BEFORE MY CAR COMPLETELY LOST POWER. I HAD A TOOL LIGHT COME ON THE DASH AND THE CAR WAS STILL ON BUT NO POWER. I TURN THE ENGINE COMPLETELY OFF FOR ABOUT T 1 MINUTE AND THEN RESTART MY CAR. I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY MAKE IT HOME. ON MY GRANDCHILDREN FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, WHILE PICKING UP AT 1 OF 3 SCHOOLS ON THE WAY TO THE SECOND SCHOOL MY CAR DECELERATED JUST BEFORE A TRAIN TRACK DURING RUSH HOUR ONCE AGAIN. THIS TIME MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH. FOLLOWING THE SAME TECHNIQUE I RESTARTED MY CAR, MADE IT ACROSS THE TRACK ONLY FOR IT TO QUIT AGAIN. MY GRAND BABY WAS WORRIED AND NEEDLESS TO SAY SO WAS I.. USING THE SAME TECHNIQUE WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE IT SAFELY HOME. REQUIRING ANOTHER VEHICLE TO GO PICK UP AT THE OTHER TWO SCHOOL LATE.... PLEASE TELL ME I SHOULDN'T BE AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE RIGHT NOW I AM I ATTEMPTED TO PERFORM A VEHICLE HEALTH CHECK BUT IT WANT ALLOW ME TOO. TAKATA INFLATORS I RECOVERED A LETTER 3 MONTS AGO SAYING MY AIRBAG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LETTER STATED THAT I WOULD GET A CALL OR EMAIL TELLING ME WHEN TO TAKY CARE FOR REPAIRS I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING ELSE.ALSO MY STEERING HAS GONE OUT IN MY CAR I CAN NOT GET ANYONE TO TELL ME WHY THEY JUST KEEP SAYING I CAN FIX IT. THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE GEAR BOX FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.
2011 FORD FUSION SE (BOUGHT AT DOUG CHEVEROLET 3 MONTHS AGO)CUT OUT 3 TIMES TODAY L'M SCARED .PULLED CAR OVER THANK GOD NOT ON HIGHWAY TURNED OFF STARTED UP WENT 5 MILES DID IT AGAIN 2 MORE TIMES .IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS SYSTEM?HAVE AN APPT.WITH MECHANIC TOMMORROW HAVE READ ABOUT THROTTLE BODY PROBLEMS HAS 93,000 MILES ON IT.
MY FORD FUSION WAS PARKED AND I SUDDENLY AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE. I HAVE TO LOWER THE WINDOW ALL THE WAY AND STICK MY ARM OUT TO OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE HANDLE. MY WINDOWS ARE ELECTRONIC AND FREEZE SHUT IN THE WINTER (MN RESIDENT) MAKING ME UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AT ALL FROM THE INSIDE. I WILL BE UNABLE TO GET OUT OF MY VEHICLE IN THE WINTER AND COULD BE TRAPPED IN AN ACCIDENT OR VEHICLE FIRE AND UNABLE TO GET OUT AND HELP MY CHILDREN.
HAVE A DEFECTIVE PTU - POWER TRANSFER UNIT THAT NEEDS REPLACING. IT WAS LEAKING FLUID AND WAS TOLD I NEED A WHOLE NEW UNIT. I HAVE READ ABOUT NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH THESE BUT A RECALL WAS NEVER ISSUED.
FRONT PASSENGER SIDE COIL SPRING OVER THE WHEEL FOUND BORKEN. HAD TO REPLACE THE COIL SPRING. SHOP SUGGESTED REPLACING THE STRUT AS WELL, AND ALSO TOLD US THAT THIS SHOULD BA A MOLD PROBLEM AND HAD HAPPENED TO A LOT OF FORD, CHEVY, AND 07-09 HONDA, BUT FORD NEVER ISSUED A RECALL. THERE HAPPENS TO BE A CHEVY TRUCK NEXT TO US WITH A BROKEN COIL SPRING.

THERE'S A CREAKING SOUND THAT IS COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE HEN YOU'RE DRIVING. THE CREAKING SOUND COMES TO PLAY WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING 5 MINUTES INTO YOUR TRAVEL. THE SOUND TENDS TO COME AND GO BUT AT TIMES, IT GETS REALLY BAD. I'VE HAD OTHER PEOPLE COMMENT ON THE SOUND AND HAVE SEEN ON FORD FORUMS THAT THIS HAS BEEN A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECAL THERE IS A RECALL AND EVERY DEARLERSHIP SAYS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGE, YET I AM SUPPOSSSED TO KEEP DRIVING THIS CAR, EVEN THOUGH IT MAY KILL MY WIFE OR PREGNANT DAUGHTER IN LAWS! MU NOTICE WAS AUGUST 2016. ARE THEY TRYING TO TELL ME THAT TAKATA HAS NOT MADE ANY NEW, SAFE AIRBAGS SINCE AUGUST 20165! OR IS THAT MY FAMILY'S LIVES ARE NOT A PRIORITY WITH FORD. IF FORD DOES NOT HAVE THE AIRBAGS, THEN GIVE US A LOANER CAR UNTIL THEY FIX MY DEATH TRAP.

RECEIVED LETTER DECEMBER 2017, WITH WARNING THAT NO ONE SHOULD OCCUPY PASSENGER SIDE FRONT SEAT CAR STILL NOT FIXED. FORD PUT MY WIFE AT RISK FOR 18MONTHS, THE CAR DID NOT GET SUDDENLY MORE DANGERIOUS THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FORD MOTOR CO. SHOULD BE MADE ACCOUNTABLE.

16S26 / NHTSA RECALL 16V-384 - I HAVE CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP "HELFMAN FORD" SEVERAL TIMES REGARDING THIS RECALL AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE TO FIX MY CAR. I ALSO CONTACTED FORD HEAD OFFICE IN MICHIGAN AND WAS TOLD THE SAME. THEY SAID WHEN THEY HAVE THE PARTS THEY WILL CONTACT ME. IT HAS BEEN A YEAR AND THREE MONTHS NOW SINCE I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE, AND STILL NO ACTION WAS TAKEN, AND NO RESOLUTION
I WAS DRIVING ON A 25 MILE PER HOUR STREET, THE WRENCH LIGHT SUDDENLY CAME ON THE DASHBOARD AND THE CAR SEEMED TO LOSE ALL POWER. IT BARELY CREPT ALONG. IF I APPLIED THE GAS PEDAL, THERE WAS NO RESPONSE.

TAKATA RECALL MY 2011 FORD FUSION HAS BEEN THE WORSE THIS WEEK. I WAS TAKING A ROAD TRIP TO PICK UP MY NIECE FROM BASIC TRAINING GRADUATION, I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BUSY INTERSTATE GOING ABOUT 70MPH, WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR DECELERATE WHILE I WAS IN THE FAST LANE, THE WRENCH LIGHT CAME ON. THE TROUBLE I HAD TRYING TO MOVE MY CAR OVER 3 LANES WAS VERY LIFE THREATENING!! I THANK GOD NOTHING HAPPENED, BUT I WAS SO CLOSE TO GETTING HIT SEVERAL TIMES, I WAS IN TEARS!! THE ONLY THING I COULD DO WAS TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN RESTART IT, THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON. ON MY 10 HOUR ADVENTURE THAT DAY, THIS HAPPENED 8 DIFFERENT TIMES. APPARENTLY THIS ISSUE IS WITH THE THROTTLE BODY. THIS IS PATHETIC OF FORD TO NOT GET THIS FIXED!

HAVE THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE AND SERVICE ADVANCETRAC MESSAGES. VIN NOT UNDER RECALL FOR SOME REASON EVEN THOUGH IT'S A 2011 FORD FOCUS MANUFACTURED IN MEXICO. TURNING IGNITION OFF AND BACK ON DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE.

I RECIEVED A RECALL NOTICE #16S26 NHTSA 16V-384 IN JULY 2016. I CONTACTED THEM IN NOVEMBER 2016 TO FIND OUT WHY NOTHING IS BE DONE. FORD CUST SERV STATED THAT THEY WERE WORKING ON REPAIR AND THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED IN NEAR FUTURE. I HAVE NOT AND IT HAS BEEN OVER 6 MONTHS. IN THE MEAN TIME MY DAUGHTER IS DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE. I WOULD LIKE TO LODGE A COMPLAINT ABOUT FORD DRAGGING FEET TO GET THIS COMPLETED. I COULD NOT FIND ANOTHER METHOD OD ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE SO HERE I AM.
WHY IS MY VEHICLE NOT UNDER THE POWER ASSIST STEERING FAILURE RECALL EVEN THOUGH MY 2011 FORD FUSION WAS MADE IN MEXICO THE SAME TIME AS THE VINS LISTED UNDER THE RECALL? OBVIOUSLY, IT'S THE SAME ISSUE.

ON 16 JULY 2016. THE 2011 FORD FUSION WAS IN PARK AND THE IGNITION WAS OFF. WHEN THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, THE MECHANISM FOR THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE DIRECTLY FROM THE INSIDE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE WAS STILL FUNCTIONAL, SUCH THAT THE WINDOW COULD BE ROLLED DOWN WITH AUXILIARY POWER OR THE ENGINE RUNNING AND THE DOOR OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE THROUGH THE WINDOW USING THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE. THIS THEN REQUIRED ROLLING UP THE WINDOW AND TURNING OFF THE POWER/ENGINE TO FULLY EXIT THE VEHICLE. ALTERNATIVELY, A PASSENGER EXITING THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE DRIVER COULD ALSO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE TO ALLOW THE DRIVER TO EXIT; HOWEVER, ALL DOORS SHOULD BE OPERABLE FROM THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT POWER OR ASSISTANCE IN ORDER TO ALLOW EXIT FROM THE VEHICLE IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I GO TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN IN MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP ON ME COMPLETELY I INSTANTLY RAN OVER THE SIDEWALK ALMOST HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE AND A PERSON. I THEN CALLED MY BROTHER TO PUSH MY VEHICLE OFF THE SIDEWALK BACK INTO THE STREET. I THEN HAD MY BROTHER TRYING TO DRIVE IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP IN HAGERSTOWN MARYLAND WHICH THEN IT WAS SO HARD TO DO THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SO HARD TO TURN BUT HE IS A STRONG GUY SO HE MANAGED TO GET IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ALSO WE WAS ONLY A MILE AWAY FROM THAT DEALERSHIP. I THEN WENT INSIDE IN WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE POWERSTEERING BUT FROM MY VIN NUMBER MINES WASNT COVERED??? IM NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY BECAUSE I LOOKED IT UP ONLINE AND IT CLEARLY STATES ON EVERY WEBSITE THAT I HAVE CHECKED THAT A 2011 FORD FUSION SEL WITHOUT A 3.5 ENGINE IS COVERED IN THE RECALL. MY CAR IS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THIS AND NEED SOMEONE TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY IS IT JUST MY VEHICLE THAT IS COVERED ON THIS RECALL?

SINCE THEN , THE SAME NOTICE RECEIVED ON MARCH 2017 AND MARCH 2018. THE FIRST TWO STATED "WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE" THEY WILL CONTACT ME BY MAIL, AND I AM TO ARRANGE FOR REPAIRS WITH A /LOCAL FORD DEALER. THE MARCH 2018 INFORMATION STATES THAT "FORD IS WORKING AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE TO MAKE REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE......" ESTIMATED FOR THE SPRING, 2018. SOMEHOW, THAT SOUNDS VAGUELY FAMILIAR! OTHER MANUFACTURERS HAVE BEEN CORRECTING THIS PROBLEM FOR SOME TIME. HONDA HAS BEEN SENDING OUT PERSONNEL TO DIRECTLY CONTACT OWNERS. YET FORD HAS BEEN UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING BUT WAIT ( ON WHAT ? ) ! OBVIOUSLY, FOR SOME REASON, FORD NO LONGER HAS ANY REGARD FOR SAFETY. THEY ARE SPENDING MONEY ON NEW DEVELOPMENTS ( REPORTED $11 BILLION ON AN ELECTRIC CAR), BUT APPARENTLY NOTHING ON THIS KNOW LETHAL HAZARD. WHY HAS FORD BEEN ALLOWED TO CONTINUE FOR OVER 2 YEARS WITHOUT ANY CORRECTION OR REAL ATTEMPT TO CORRECT THIS SITUATION, WHILE OTHERS HAVE? WHEN WILL NHTSA STEP IN (OR BE ABLE TO) DEMAND SOME IMMEDIATE CORRECTIVE ACTION BY FORD? I HAVE CAR WHICH I CAN'T TRADE OR SELL NOR SHOULD BY DRIVING.
