THE RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V597000 (SEAT BELTS). THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CSA15903459. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.

THE CAR HAD BEEN PARKED FOR 2 DAYS. I WENT TO TURN THE CAR ON, AND IT WAS IMMEDIATELY CLEAR THAT THE POWER STEERING WASN'T WORKING, AND 'SERVICE ADVANCETRAC' 'SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW' NOTIFICATIONS ARE ON. THIS CAR HAD BEEN RECALLED ALREADY FOR THIS ISSUE, AND CLEARLY WHATEVER THEY DID, DID NOT ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, SUNRISE FORD REPAIR TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS NO LONGER ON MY CAR, AND THAT IT A RECALL REPAIR COULD ONLY BE GIVEN IF IT WAS 'UNDER A YEAR AGO', AND 'UNDER 12000' MILES AGO. WHILE I LOOK FOR THE RECEIPT, I DO BELIEVE THIS IS THE CASE BUT IF IT ISN'T, WHY WOULD THIS MATTER IF IT WAS A FAULTY REPAIR DONE IN FREDERICTON, CANADA? AND WAS GOING TO BREAK 1 MILE OVER 12,000 AND A DAY OVER A YEAR, ESSENTIALLY. I WAS 50 MILES AWAY FROM HOME WHEN THIS HAPPENED TO ME, WITH NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION, HAD TO DRIVE OUT OF A CANYON, THEN ONTO HIGHWAYS, WITH ABSOLUTELY NO POWER STEERING AND A VERY DIFFICULT TIME DRIVING THE CAR. AND FORD TOLD ME SINCE THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE CAR (?) THAT IT WOULD COST 135$ TO EVEN INSPECT THE GOOD! THIS WAS ANTHONY, AT SUNRISE FORD IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD.
TAKATA RECALL I DRIVE 6 MILES TO WORK WHEN I GET HOME THE KEY IS SO HOT I CAN HARDLY TOUCH IT. THE KEY HOLE IS JUST AS HOT ?? JUST PURCHASED THIS CAR FROM KEY SCALES FORD ON 7/14/2018.
CAR JERKS AND SHIFTS POORLY AND SOMETIMES AT THE WRONG TIME WHEN STARTING UP FROM A STOP. ALSO DOWNSHIFTED FROM 6TH GREAR TO MUCH LOWER GEAR WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEED IN HOT WEATHER (OVER 100 DEGREES F), CAUSING FRIGHTENING LOSS OF SPEED AND ACCELERATING MOTOR RPMS.
KNOCKING SOUND AND LOOSENESS IN STEERING WHEEL. MY MECHANIC SAYS IT IS THE RACK AND PINION. FORD GARAGE SAYS IT IS NOT COVERED BY RECALL UNLESS IT HAS WARNING SOUND. KNOCKING HAPPENS WHENEVER I AM DRIVING IT.

THE VEHICLE DROVE FORWARD AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RODEO FORD (13680 WEST TEST DR, GOODYEAR, AR) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,500.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIRE ROTATION COULD NOT BE PERFORMED BECAUSE THE LUG NUTS ON ALL FOUR WHEELS COULD NOT BE REMOVED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.

UPON ACCELERATING FROM A ROLLING STOP, THE CAR WILL SPUTTER AND STALL OUT INFREQUENTLY. THE BATTERY AND ALTENATOR HAVE BEEN TESTED AT DIFFERENT PLACES AND ALL HAVE PASSED THE TESTS.
LUNGING, NOT GOING INTO GEAR, SHUTTERING, NOT ABLE TO CONTROL SPEED ON ANY TYPE OF HIGHWAY. CAN'T DRIVE IT SAFELY TO GET IT TO THE FORD SERVICE DEPT. CAR IS IN CHARLOTTE, NC. CONTACTED CAPITAL FORD ON N TRYON ST AND HUNTERSVILLE FORD ON STATESVILLE RD. BOTH DEALERS LOOK AT IT FOR 4 OR 5 DAYS AND WE HAVE TO BRING IT TO THEM. IT'S NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT TIRE FACILITY WHERE THE TIRES WERE REPLACED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 15433. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE, VIN, AND DOT NUMBER WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.

YESTERDAY ON JULY 15, 2018 THE POWER STEERING ON MY CAR WENT OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO THE STORE. IT FLASHES ON THE DASH TO SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW. I'VE SEE. ONLINE THAT THEIR WAS A RECALL BEFORE IN 2015 ON MY CAR FOR THE POWER STEERING BUT WHEN I WENT TO FORD THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL. IT IS COMPLETELY UNSAFE TO BE DRIVING AND ALL SUDDEN THE STEERING WHEEL IS TIGHT AND HARD TO TURN!

FORD COMPANY SENT OUT A RECALL STATUS NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 17V024, PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR REPLACEMENT ON JANUARY 10, 2017. IT IS NOW JULY 11, 2018 AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO HAVE MY CAR SERVICE DUE TO NO PARTS. IHAVE BEEN CALLING EVERY WEEK AND I AM TOLD THAT THE REPLACEMENT PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN SENT BY FORD, CALL THE HEAD QUARTERS. I JUST WANT MY CHILDREN AND PASSENGERS TO BE SAFE IN MY CAR.

CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE SAFETY RECALL ONLY APPLIES TO CARS WITH LESS THAN 150K MILES. SINCE THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD DRIVEN MORE THAN THAT, THE CAR IS SUDDENLY SAFE!? HOW CAN A SAFETY RECALL EXPIRE? FORD WANTS $2000 TO REPAIR A DESIGN DEFECT.
FRONT LEFT TRANSMISSION SEAL LEAKING, AXLE SHAFT LOOSE AND DAMAGED, WHEEL INCREASINGLY WOBBLY WITH SPEED. DIRECTLY AND NEGATIVELY AFFECTS BRAKE ROTORS AND PADS AS WELL AS WHEEL KNUCKLE STABILITY AND SHOCK ABSORBER WEAR. CAR IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AS STEERING CONTROL HAS DECREASED DRAMATICALLY. THE RUBBER SEAL AROUND THE TRANSAXLE ON THE LEFT (DRIVER SIDE) FRONT WHEEL AXLE HAS BEEN SLICED OPEN FROM THE INSIDE BY METAL SHAVINGS PRODUCED BY THE BAD PRODUCTION OF THE PARTS INCLUDED IN THE AXLE SHAFT ASSEMBLY, CAUSING ABNORMAL WEAR/SHAVING OF THE SHAFT. THE JOINT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DAMAGED AND IS NOW IN TURN CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS, SHOCK ABSORBER, WHEEL KNUCKLE, STEERING ARM, BRAKE ROTORS, BREAK PADS, THE WHEEL HUB, WHEEL BEARING, TIRE ETC. IT LITERALLY EFECTS THE ENTIRE DRIVER SIDE FRONT SUSPENSION, DRIVETRAIN, AND STEERING COMPONENTS, CONTINUOUSLY DEGRADING THEIR STATE WITH TIME AND MAKING THEM MORE DANGEROUS TO USE/MORE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THE CAR. NO HISTORY OF ANY DAMAGE HAS BEEN RECORDED ON THIS VEHICLE ON THAT SIDE AND THIS HAS BEEN A FACTORY DEFECT FROM THE BEGINNING, JUST POORLY AND VERY SLOWLY ADDRESSED. BECAUSE IF FORD'S UNTIMELY RESPONSE TO THIS ISSUE, MOST OWNERS ARE FORCED TO DEAL WITH THE ISSUES IN VEHICLES EFFECTED BY THIS FORD FACTORY DEFECT OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKET, WHICH IS UNFAIR.
MY CAR TAKES ABOUT 2 MINS TO START. THE GAS ACCELERATION GOES FROM NORMAL TO SLOW WHEN I'M DRIVING. I GO INTO REVERSE AND MY CAR STALLS AND JERKS REALLY HARD. WHEN I'M AT A STOPLIGHT OR A STOP SIGN MY CAR WILL ACT LIKE IT'S LOSING POWER AND THE WHOLE CAR SHAKES. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH COME ON THEN DISAPPEAR DAYS LATER WITH NEW LIGHTS ON SUCH AS CHECK ENGINE DOORS OPEN ECT. THERE ARE TIMES I WILL BE DRIVING AND MY CAR WILL SLOW DOWN ON ITS OWN LIKE I HIT MY BREAKS. WHEN I WAS BACKING UP GOING IN REVERSE THE CAR JERKED AND I HIT SOMEONE HOWEVER IT WAS IN A PARKING LOT. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE OTHER VEHICLE. WHEN I PUT THE CAR BACK IN DRIVE AFTER I HAD IT IN REVERSE FROM BACKING UP I BACKED UP AGAIN THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING WRONG WITHIN THE CAR ITSELF. I'M WORRIED ABOUT MY SAFETY AS WELL AS OTHERS. THE MALFUNCTIONING OF THE CAR HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I GOT IT AND IT'S BEEN ALMOST 2 MONTHS SINCE IT'S BEENIN MY POSSESSION.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED BEFORE AND WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER, WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
AT THE APPROACH OF A STOP AT ABOUT 20 MPH OR LESS, WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR FOR NO REASON AND CAR WILL NOT STOP AND AT TIMES PUTTING ME AND ANY PASSENGERS IN GREAT DANGER. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES, MOST OFTEN WHEN PULLING OUT OF THE GARAGE BUT MOST RECENTLY HAS OCCURRED AT 3 DIFFERENT INTERSECTIONS AND 2 TIMES ALMOST T/BONED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION. AT WHAT POINT DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO OR MY ONLY DAUGHTER TO DIE BECAUSE FORD WON'T STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND ADMIT THEY HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE BREAKING SYSTEM ON THESE CARS? I HAVE HAD IT TO THE FORD SHOP AND I HAVE ALSO A CASE # RECORDED TO FORD. IT IS TIME FOR FORD TO TAKE ACTION AND RECALL THIS TYPE OF CAR BEFORE THERE IS AN UNNECESSARY DEATH RELATED TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE.
I RECEIVED MY FIRST RECALL FOR THIS TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL BACK IN MARCH 2017, MEANWHILE THE RECALL WAS ACTUALLY FIRST PUT OUT IN JANUARY 2017. I WAS NOT OFFERED ANY REMEDY FOR THIS SITUATION UNTIL JUNE 2018 WHEN I WAS OFFERED A RENTAL CAR UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. THE SOLUTION OFFERED BY FORD IN THE INTERIM WAS TO NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND HAVE THE LARGEST PERSON SIT AS FAR BACK AS POSSIBLE IF THE CAR WAS TO BE USED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. CURRENTLY, I AM STILL WAITING FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS AND MY CAR IS SITTING, AS I AM REQUIRED BY FORD TO NO LONGER DRIVE IT, BUILDING UP RUST AND OTHER PROBLEMS. TRULY UNACCEPTABLE THAT FORD HAS NOT BEEN HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DANGER THEY HAVE PUT ALL OF THEIR CUSTOMERS IN. A DISGRACE!

2012 FORD FUSION HYBRID WAS RECALLED FOR AIRBAG. PARTS ARE STILL NOT AVAILABLE FOR MY VEHICLE AND SPECIFIC MODEL AND AN THERE IS NO AVAILABLE PARTS ETA. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE PROGRAM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NHTSA WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR RECALLS BEING ISSUED. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL BRAKE FAILURES WHERE THE PEDAL WENT NEARLY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THE BRAKES ENGAGED. THIS HAS ALWAYS OCCURRED AFTER A SUDDEN STOP, OR WHEN BRAKING IN A TURN. THIS TIME IT HAPPENED WHILE TRYING TO AVOID AND OBJECT THAT FLEW OFF THE BACK OF A TRUCK. AFTER PREVIOUS EVENTS I WAS ABLE TO BRING THE PEDAL BACK TO NORMAL BY PUMPING IT HARD A FEW TIMES, THIS TIME IT DIDN'T WORK. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND DISCOVERED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON, AND VERY DANGEROUS, OCCURRENCE. BEING AN ENGINEER, I DECIDED TO LOOK INTO IT FURTHER. WHAT I FOUND WAS THAT A COMPONENT IN THE ABS CONTROL, A DUMP VALVE, WAS FAILING TO CLOSE AFTER AN ABS EVENT. THIS IN ITSELF IS VERY DANGEROUS, BUT THE FACT THAT THE SYSTEM DOESN'T SEND OR RECORD AN ERROR IS INEXCUSABLE. MY RESEARCH HAS LED ME TO CONCLUDE THAT THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE CONTROL UNIT. THE FACT THAT IT DOESN'T POP AN ERROR IS VERY SUSPICIOUS. FORD HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS FLAW FOR A LONG TIME, AND IT AFFECTS ALL MODEL YEARS FROM 2005-2012. I ALSO FOUND OUT THAT THE PROBLEM WAS BEING INVESTIGATE (BY YOU I ASSUME), BUT ONLY INCLUDES MODEL YEARS FROM 2005-2010. IT DOES IN FACT INVOLVE ALL OF THE FIRST GENERATION FUSIONS. IN INVESTIGATING FURTHER, I DISCOVERED THAT FORD ENGINEERS NOT ONLY KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THEY DISCOVERED WHAT WAS CAUSING IT. IT SEEMS THERE IS AN INCOMPATIBILITY OF SOME OF THE INTERNAL (WETTED) COMPONENTS AND THE BRAKE FLUID. A CHEMICAL REACTION OCCURS, OVER TIME, CAUSING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A GEL LIKE MATERIAL THAT CAUSES THE VALVES TO STICK IN THE OPEN POSITION. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN INJURED BECAUSE OF FORDS FAILURE TO ACT, AND THERE WILL BE MORE IN THE FUTURE, THERE ARE A LOT OF THESE CARS STILL ON THE ROAD. FORD SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM, AND RECALL ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES STILL IN SERVICE.
KNOWN ISSUE, SAFETY RECALL FOR SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING 15S18, 14S06 AND SUPPLEMENT AND15N01 EXTENDED. FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL ONLY REPAIR THE SAFETY ISSUE IF CERTAIN INTERNAL FAULT CODES ARE PRESENT INDICATING THAT CERTAIN COMPONENTS ARE DEFECTIVE, UNFORTUNATELY THERE ARE MORE COMPONENTS THAT FAIL CAUSING POWER STEERING LOSS, 2 CODES THAT PRESENTED THAT RESULTED IN POWER STEERING LOSS ARE C1277 AND C1963 BUT THESE ARE NOT COVERED BY THE SAFETY RECALL ACCORDING TO FORD. THE ISSUE IS SAFETY AND ALL COMPONENTS THAT CAUSE THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING NEED TO BE COVERED UNDER THE SAFETY RECALL AND REPAIRED AT NO CHARGE TO THE CONSUMER. I BELIEVE THAT FORD IS SKIRTING THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR THE THE DEFECTIVE AUTOS USING THE INTERNAL FAULT CODES AS AN EXCUSE. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT CODE IS PRESENT WHEN POWER STEERING FAILS AS THE CODES ARE NOT THE SAFETY ISSUE. THE STEERING GEAR IN THIS FUSION WAS REPLACED 8/2017. THE POWER STEERING FAILED AGAIN AND WAS TOWED TO FORD IN 3/2018, AND THE SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED AT OWNERS EXPENSE AND ONCE AGAIN THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND WAS TOWED TO FORD IN 3/2018 AND ACCORDING TO FORD THE STEERING GEAR WAS REPLACED YET AGAIN AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE, THEN THE NEXT DAY FAILED ONCE MORE AND THE TOWED ONCE MORE TO FORD. FORD CLAIMING THAT THE FIRST GEAR REPLACEMENT CLOSED OUT THE RECALL. THAT IS 4 POWER STEERING FAILURES IN THE SAME CAR. FORD REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS AND HAS INSTEAD SHIFTED TO COST TO THE OWNERS. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF CONSUMERS THAT HAVE FACED THIS ISSUE.THE SAFETY RECALL IS NOT HAVING THE DESIRED EFFECT OF REPAIRING THE ISSUE AND NOW FORD IS PLAYING A WAITING GAME AS THE VEHICLES ARE REACHING THE 150 THOUSAND MILE THRESHOLD WHERE BY FORD WILL REFUSE TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THERE ARE ABOUT 500 THOUSAND OF THESE DEFECTIVE CARS ON THE ROAD TODAY AND WE ARE NO SAFER.

SINCE OWNING THE VEHICLE THERE HAVE BEEN INSTANCES WHERE THE POWER STEERING ASSIST WARNING WOULD FLASH ON MY DASH, TYPICALLY DURING COLD WEATHER. I COULD TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON AND THE ISSUE RESOLVED ITSELF. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN LATE 2012. IT HAPPENS WHEN I GO TO START IT AFTER IT SITTING OVERNIGHT OR WHILE I AM AT WORK FOR 8 HOURS. AS OF YESTERDAY (6/18) I BEGAN HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE POWER STEERING WHEN I WENT TO LEAVE WORK AND DRIVE HOME. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE ISSUE ONCE AGAIN RESOLVED ITSELF. THIS MORNING (6/19) I WENT TO START MY CAR TO LEAVE FOR WORK AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST/ADVANCETRAC MESSAGE FLASHED ON MY DASH. THE ADVANCETRAC NOTIFICATION IS NEW, IT NEVER HAPPENED UNTIL THIS MORNING. I HAVE NO POWER STEERING WHATSOEVER. I HAVE READ MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS HAPPENING TO OTHER FUSIONS OF THE SAME YEAR AS MINE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE $1500+ TO REPAIR THIS. IT IS AN ONGOING ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING SPORADICALLY SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED.
