NO ENGINE LIGHT ON OR WARNING.. LOST POWER WILL DRIVING. WILL STUTTER THEN SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. DEALERSHIP WON'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE ENGINE LIGHT ISN'T ON AND THEY DON'T HAVE A CODE. I HAVE READ MANY OTHERS FORD FUSIONS HAVING THIS SAME EXACT ISSUE. IT IS VERY SCARY AND MAKES ME TERRIFIED TO DRIVE MY CAR ANYWHERE. IT'S DOES THIS A FEW TIMES NOW!
2 WIRES THAT CONNECT TO THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE CAME OUT OF THEIR PLACE RESULTING IN THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON.
UPON APPLYING THE GAS AND ACCELERATING FROM A STOP OR IDLE POSITION AND SOMETIMES AT SPEED, MY 2014 FUSION WILL SPUTTER WITH JERKING MOTION WHILE LOSING RPMS AND POWER BEFORE STALLING ALTOGETHER. IT HAS HAPPENED MORE FREQUENTLY AND TODAY IT OCCURRED MULTIPLE TIMES, IN SEVERAL INSTANCES WHEN ENTERING TRAFFIC FROM A SIDE ROAD. THIS CREATES A SIGNIFICANT POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT TO OCCUR AS THE CAR SUDDENLY STALLS WHILE CARS ARE APPROACHING AND MOST LIKELY NOT ANTICIPATING MY VEHICLE TO COME TO A STOP. MY ONLY RECOURSE IS TO SHIFT THE CAR TO PARK AND ATTEMPT TO RESTART, WHICH THUS FAR HAS WORKED; THOUGH, THE CAR IS A BIT DIFFICULT TO START AFTERWARD. THERE'S A HESITATION TO START AFTERWARD, AS IF THERE'S NO FUEL, BUT NOT LIKE AN ELECTRICAL OR STARTER ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RANDALL REED'S PARK CITIES FORD OF DALLAS (3333 INWOOD RD, DALLAS, TX 75235, (214) 296-4416) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE GEAR BOLT WAS CORRODED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED THE FAILURE ONLINE AND FOUND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V632000 (STEERING); HOWEVER, HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 101,400.
MY CAR'S ODOMETER READS 49,343 MILES AND THE WATER PUMP HAS ALREADY FAILED. I BELIEVE THIS PART MAY BE DEFECTIVE.
ON NOVEMBER 15, 2019, I HAD A RECALL SERVICE CONDUCTED ON MY CAR TO COMPLY WITH FORD RECALL 19S16. HOWEVER, THE RECALL IS STILL OPEN FOR MY VEHICLE ACCORDING TO THE NHTSA WEBSITE. AS A US SERVICE MEMBER STATIONED OVERSEAS, I WILL NEED TO SHOW PROOF THAT I HAVE COMPLIED WITH THIS RECALL BEFORE I CAN SHIP THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE USA.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTING TO SWITCH THE GEAR SHIFTER FROM DRIVE INTO PARK, THE TRANSMISSION ERRONEOUSLY BECAME STUCK IN THE REVERSE POSITION. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A NEARBY RESIDENCE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CABLE BUSHING HAD FAILED. AN UNKNOWN DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 139,576. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR OPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND IT WOULDN'T LATCHED OR CLOSED. I HAD TO TIE A ROPE TO DRIVE IT TO DEALERSHIP.
DRIVING CAR AND "POWER STEERING FAILURE" NOTIFICATION CAME UP ON THE CONSOLE. IMMEDIATELY WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN STEERING WHEEL. STRUGGLED TO GET THE CAR HOME AND OFF THE ROAD. SEARCHED THE ISSUE AND SAW A RECALL FOR 2010-2013 VEHICLES AT SIMILAR MILEAGE POINT.
PURGE VALVE NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT LUMINATED. SAFETY RECALL FOR SPUTTERING REQUESTED AS THE CAR COULD BECOME INOPERABLE UNTIL REPLACED.
THE REAR PASSENGER DOORS LATCH WILL NOT WORK THE KEEP DOOR CLOSED. I JUST GOT HOME FROM TOWN AND UN BUCKELED MY 4 YR OLD DAUGHTER AND WHEN I WENT TO CLOSE THE DOOR IT WOULDNT STAY SHUT. THE HAPPEND AROUND AROUND 3:50 PM ON 11/07/2019 I WILL BE TAKING IT TO OUR LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TOMORROW MORNING

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO ADD TRANSMISSION FLUID. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION FORD MARIETTA (LOCATED AT 869 COBB PKWY SE, MARIETTA, GA 30060, (770) 674-6077) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN UNKNOWN COMPONENT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY BECAME VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION AND 'STEERING ASSIST FAULTY, SERVICE REQUIRED' AND 'SERVICE ADVANCETRAC' WERE DISPLAYED. AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTING THE ENGINE, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V632000 (STEERING), ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
THE 2014 FORD FUSION THAT I HAVE HAS BEEN CUTTING COMPLETELY OFF WITHOUT WARNING IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY INTERSECTION, LEAVING MYSELF, CHILDREN AND OTHERS IN A HIGH POSITION TO BE SEVERLY INJURED EVEN KILLED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND VERY CONCERNING AND THESE VEHICLES NEED TO BE RECALLED. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE STATED THAT THEY CAN NOT FIND AN ISSUE BECAUSE ONCE AGAIN THERE ARE NO ALERTS OR WARNING SIGNS COMING ON. THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AT ALL TIMES WHEN IT CUTS OFF THERE IS NO WARNING NO ALERTS NOTHING IT JUST CUTS OFF ON HIGHWAY ON BUSY INTERSECTIONS ITS VERY ALARMING AND DANGEROUS. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY PEOPLE ON A GOOGLE SEARCH THAT HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE I AM HAVING AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I AM PREPARED TO SEEK AN ATTORNEY FOR THIS ISSUE IF NEEDED BUT THIS HAS TO BE TAKEN CARE OF IMMEDIEATELY BEFORE SOMEONE IS SEVERLY INJURED OR DIES. I HIT A HUGE POTHOLE THAT BLEW MY TIRE ON INTERSTATE 57 SOUTH BOUND NEAR MONEE (APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES NORTH OF THE PEOTONE EXIT).

THE STEERING ASSIST FAULT AND ANOTHER UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND GOT IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE HOME. THE CONTACT HAD NOT CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V632000 (STEERING). THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE COOLANT FAILURE WAS REPAIRED PER A MANUFACTURER WARRANTED REPAIR WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS AT 80,410 MILES HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: (24848748). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,998.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FIELD SERVICE ACTION FOR THE TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT WAS EXCEEDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
I WAS TAKING MY BABY TO DAYCARE AND MY CAR JUST STOPPED STEERING....

THE POWER STEERING OF THE CAR DOES NOT WORK ! I WAS COMING DOWN A MOUNTAIN AND I FINALLY GOT HOME PARKED MY CAR. WHEN I CAME BACK TO GET IN THE POWER STEERING WAS LOST! I COULD'VE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED IF THE POWER STEERING WOULD'VE BEEN LOST WHILE DRIVING. I SEE THIS RECALL IN THESE CARS RECENTLY
WHILE IN MOTION ON MAJOR INTERSTATE THE VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION CAUSING TRAFFIC TO SWERVE AROUND VEHICLE AS IT SLOWED TO A STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING BUT WOULD NOT MOVE IN ANY GEAR SELECTED. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED AND LEFT MY FAMILY STRANDED ON THE SHOULDER. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THE TRANSMISSION FAILED BEFORE FIRST RECOMMENDED SERVICE OF 150,000 MILES OF SERVICE. UNABLE TO CHECK FLUID DUE TO NO DIPSTICK ON THE MODEL ATTACHED TO THE 1.5L ENGINE. DEALER CLAIMS TRANS PUMP WENT OUT CAUSING FAILURE.

MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON I HAD CAR TOWED TO FORD DEALERSHIP WAS TOLD THAT COOLANT SEEPED I TO MY ENGINE THIS WAS A RECALL BUT MY CARS BIN WAS NOT INCLUDED I WAS TOLD I OWED 7000 TO HAVE IT FIXED. I WILL OWE 10.000 ON LOAN. I PULLED OVER AND HAD CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. WHEN I HAD MY OIL CHANGED I WAS TOLD MY CAR NEEDED COOLANT IT WAS EMPTY. WE ADDED COOLANT. THERE WAS NO COOLANT LEAKING FROM MY CAR
I PURCHASED MY FORD WHILE IT WAS STILL UNDER THE WARRANTY. I TOOK IT TO A DEALER BECAUSE I WAS LOSING POWER WHILE DRIVING IN A CERTAIN GEAR AT A CERTAIN RPM AFTER THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES. I WAS TOLD IT WAS A WIRING ISSUE WHICH I HAD THE DEALER FIX. BY THIS TIME I WAS CLOSE TO THE WARRANTY BEING UP. IT DIDNT FIX THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER INTERMITTENTLY OR STUTTERS. I GET P0352 CODES. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH IT BECAUSE IT IS INTERMITTENT BUT RECENTLY THE WIRING HARNESS MELTED ON AN IGNITION COIL. I HAVE REPLACED THE IGNITION COILS, THE PIG TAIL, THE SPARK PLUGS, CHANGED TRANSMISSION FLUID, RECHECKED ALL THE CABLES, AND ONCE THE DEALER REPROGRAMMED THE PCM. IT HAS TO BE THE TRANSMISSION BUT BECAUSE IT IS INTERMITTENT THE DEALER CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I ACTUALLY LOST POWER ONCE AT LOW SPEEDS AFTER THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AND DINGED A POLL CAUSING A DENT IN MY CAR. THANKFULLY I ONLY LOST POWER ONCE ON THE HIGH WAY AND NO ONE HIT ME. SINCE I AM OUT OF WARRANTY I AM FORCED TO FIND THE CAUSE AND FIX IT MYSELF. I DO NOT HAVE 4 GRAND FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION INSTALL. MY RESEARCH SHOWS THAT FORD HAS THREE ISSUES WITH MY YEAR. 1. IGNITION COILS OVER HEATING DUE TO BAD PCMS OR PROGRAMMING 2. TRANSMISSION BUBBLES OR TEARS FORMING IN THE RINGS 3. CABLE CONTROLS ON THE TRANSMISSIONS. I AM OUT OF OPTIONS AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO SO I FIGURE I WOULD WARN OFF OTHERS. DONT BY A FORD WITH THE 6F35 TRANSMISSION UNLESS IT IS A LATER YEAR. I HEAR THE 2019 HAS IT FIXED AND I WISH I COULD HAVE ONE OF THOSE BUT THE BEST I CAN DO IS WARN OTHERS. I AM STUCK. 2 YEARS OF MY LIFE WASTED.
I PUT MY VEHICLE IN PARK BUT MY CAR WAS STILL IN REVERSE. I GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND IT STARTED TO ROLL AWAY. THE SHIFTER SAID PARK BUT THE CAR WAS IN REVERSE. I HAD TO PUT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON AND EVENTUALLY TOW MY VEHICLE HOME.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY AFTER DRIVING FOR 4 HOURS THE COOLANT OVERHEATING LIGHT FLASHED ON BUT WENT OFF THE TEMP GAUGE WENT FROM COOL TO HOT AND BACK TO COOL. CAR SPUTTERED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL I PUSHED ON GAS TO KEEP IT FROM CUTTING OUT BUT I HAD GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN AND IT BARELY GAVE IT A BOOST CAR RELUCTANTLY KEPT MOVING UNTIL ABOUT 45 MIN DOWN THE ROAD THE COOLANT OVERHEATING LIGHT STAYED ON AND CAR SPUTTERED AND TOTALLY DIED. NEXT DAY WAS TOWED AND THEY REPLACED THE OXYGEN SENSOR. CAR WAS LOW ON COOLANT BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND A LEAK. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE FOR 2 DAYS BEFORE EVERYTHING HAPPENED AGAIN. OUR REPAIR MAN SAID WE NEED TO TAKE IT TO THE FORD DEALER WHICH WE WILL DO THIS WEEK WITH NOT MUCH HOPE DUE TO PREVIOUS VISITS WITH FORD. CODES ENGINE COOLANT OVER TEMPERATURE CONDITION, CYLINDER 4 MISFIRE DETECTED, MISFIRE DETECTED ON STARTUP( FIRST 1000 REVOLUTIONS)

10/3/19 MY 17 YEARS OLD DAUGHTER DROVE HER 2014 FORD FUSION HOME TO CHANGE FOR WORK. UPON LEAVING TO DRIVE TO WORK HER DRIVER DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH TO STAY CLOSED. CALLED THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO BE TOLD THE VIN NUMBER WAS NOT PART OF A RECALL. HAD THE DOOR FIXED WITH A RELIABLE MECHANIC, $386.59. PICKED THE CAR UP ON 10/6/19. MY DAUGHTER DROVE TO A FRIEND'S HOUSE, PICKING UP TWO FRIEND'S, ONE RIDING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AND THE OTHER IN THE REAR DRIVER SIDE. WHILE MAKING A TURN, THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR FLEW OPEN WHILE DRIVING IN THE RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD, STARTLING HER FRIEND. THANKFULLY, THEY HAD NOT GOTTEN TO THE HIGHWAY YET! ANOTHER RETURN TRIP TO THE MECHANIC, $594.66. I AM AWARE OF ISSUES WITH FORD FUSION AND LINCOLN MKZ FROM 2013 TO 2014 AND FORD FIESTA FROM 2011 TO 2014 REGARDING DEFECTIVE LATCHES ALLOWING DOORS TO OPEN UNEXPECTEDLY. IF THIS IS A CONCERN WITH THE NHTSA TO TAKE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS, WHY IS OUR VIN NOT PART OF A RECALL? CLEARLY IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH FORD AND WE SHOULD BE PROTECTED BY THEM. ATTACHED ARE PHOTOS OF THE DEFECTIVE PART MISSING THE PLASTIC PIECE TO HOLD THE BOLT IN PLACE TO SECURE THE DOOR TO BE CLOSED. TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN TO TWO DOORS WITHIN DAYS OF EACH OTHER AND NOT TO BE A PART OF A RECALL IS UNACCEPTABLE. WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE, A SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH??*DT *TP

I HAVE EXPERIENCED AN ISSUE WITH MY DOOR LATCH ON MY VEHICLE TWICE. THE FIRST TIME THE ISSUE OCCURRED WAS ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO ON MY FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR. THE DOOR LATCH REMAINED OPEN AND DID NOT LOCK SHUT WHEN CLOSING THE DOOR. THIS RESULTED IN THE DOOR REMAINING OPEN. WHEN RESEARCHING THE ISSUE I FOUND THAT A RECALL FOR THE SAME PROBLEM HAD BEEN ISSUED ON 2013-2015 FORD FUSIONS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THAT MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT COVERED IN THE ISSUE. I ENDED UP PAYING $300 OUT OF POCKET FOR THIS PROBLEM. THIS LAST WEEK I HAD THIS SAME ISSUE OCCUR ON MY REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY AGAIN STATED THAT THE RECALL DID NOT EXTEND TO MY VIN NUMBER AND WOULD NOT REPLACE THE DOOR LATCHES ON MY CAR. I WILL AGAIN BE PAYING OUT OF POCKET FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT FURTHER MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS ISSUE COULD HAPPEN AGAIN, AND PERHAPS WHILE DRIVING AS IT HAS AFFECTED OTHER CARS WITH THIS RECALL ISSUE. I WOULD BE DEVASTATED IF THIS OCCURRED WITH MY FAMILY IN THE CAR AND CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS A WAY TO EXTEND THIS RECALL ISSUE TO MY VIN NUMBER.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE ARMS, LEGS, HEAD, AND BACK. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. WHILE DRIVING AT SIMILAR SPEEDS AND ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT IT WOULD COAST INTO A STOP INSTEAD OF STOPPING AS EXPECTED. STEERING WHEELS LOOKS WHILE ON DRIVE AND ALL TRACK CONTROL LIGHTS LIGHT UP MAKING IT HARD TO CONTROL THE WHEEL. IT ALSO SLOWS THE CAR DOWN.
WHILE DRIVING ON A CALIFORNIA FREEWAY, A FOUL SULFUR SMELL FILLED UP THE CABIN WITH MY FAMILY INSIDE. LESS THAN 12 HOURS LATER, THE CAR BATTERY WAS DEAD AND THERE WAS LEAKED FLUID ALL OVER THE BATTERY. THE FORD MOTORCRAFT BATTERY HAS A 7/16 STICKER, AND WE ARE IN 9/18. THERE WAS NO CORROSION TO THE TERMINALS. THE SMELL THAT WAS RELEASED WAS HYDROGEN SULFIDE, VERY TOXIC AND DEADLY. IT IS ALSO FLAMMABLE. BECAUSE OF THE FAILED BATTERY, WE COULD NOT OPEN THE DOORS EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVER SIDE, WHICH WE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE USING THE HIDDEN KEY INSIDE THE FOB. THE OTHER DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE STILL NON-OPERATIONAL DUE TO A DEAD BATTERY. THIS LEADS ME TO MY MAIN CONCERN. IF THE BATTERY HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE DUE TO THE LEAKING ACID, MY FAMILY WOULD HAVE BEEN TRAPPED INSIDE THE CAR BECAUSE THE POWER DOORS AND WINDOWS WOULD BE NON-OPERATIONAL. THE ONLY POSSIBLE ESCAPE WOULD BE THROUGH THE EMERGENCY TRUNK RELEASE HOWEVER I AM NOT SURE OF IT'S FUNCTIONALITY WITHOUT POWER.

THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT HE WOULD NEEDED TO TEAR DOWN THE RACK AND PINION FOR THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 57,946.
