REPEATED INSTANCES OF THE VEHICLES EITHER STALLING IN MOTION OR ROUGH START AND STALLING IN PLACE
MAJOR RECALL ON MY AIRBAG..I CURRENTLY DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR
I BOUGHT A USED 2014 FORD FUSION FROM OUR LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WITH 34,000 MILES ON IT, ONE OWNER, NO HISTORY OF ANY ISSUES. AS SOON AS I DROVE OFF THE LOT I COULD FEEL A HARD SHIFT BETWEEN 2ND AND 3RD AND THE ENGINE REVS UP TO 4500 BEFORE FALLING BACK DOWN TO AROUND 2000. THEN IT'S WORSE GOING FROM 3RD TO 2ND WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, THE CAR JOLTS FORWARD AND THE ENGINE REVS HIGH AS YOU APPLY THE BRAKES. I'VE HAD THE CAR FOR 3 DAYS NOW AND IT HAS THE WORST TRANSMISSION I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. IT'S A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVE AND I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING IT WHEN I KNOW MY CAR IS GOING TO SHIFT SO HARD THAT THE WHOLE JERKS FORWARD. I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE UNHAPPY WITH A CAR IN MY LIFE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY 2014 FUSION CUT OFF. A WARNING INDICATOR POPPED UP THAT SAID "TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK". WE HAD TO COAST OFF TO THE SHOULDER, FORTUNATELY THERE WERE NO CARS IN THE LANE WE HAD TO CROSS TO GET TO THE SHOULDER. LATER TODAY (THE SAME DAY) IT HAPPENED A SECOND TIME. THE CAR LOSES ALL POWER. WE WERE DRIVING PAST THE DEALERSHIP WE USE, SO WE LEFT THE CAR WITH THEM TO BE FIXED AND HAVE THE OIL CHANGED. WE WILL BE WAITING FOR THE OUTCOME THE FIRST OF THE WEEK,BUT FELT IT NECESSARY TO REPORT THIS SINCE OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE.
I HAD LEASED A 2014 FORD FUSION BACK IN 2014, HAD EVERY INTENTION IN PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, A COUPLE WEEKS BEFORE MY LEASE WAS TO END I WAS EXPERIENCING ELECTRICAL/DEFECT ISSUES IN SEPTEMBER 2016, ALL MY LOCKS, AIR/HEAT, WINDOWS WOULD SHUT OFF AS I WAS DRIVING AND IT WAS SLOWLY DRAINING MY BATTERY. I MADE DOZENS AND DOZENS OF PHONE CALLS TO FORD CORPORATION/CUSTOMER SERVICE ASKING FOR HELP, AND INFORMING THEM THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE (MAILED THEM EVIDENCE OF MY ISSUES). TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AT TOM HOLZER FORD, AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS MADE TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE THEY STILL COULD NOT REPAIR MY VEHICLE PROPERLY, I SPENT $400.00 TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE AND I WAS STILL LEFT WITH THE SAME ISSUES LISTED ABOVE. WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE THIRD TIME THEY TRIED TO CHANGE THEIR STORY AND CLAIM I HAD A NEW PROBLEM TO AVOID PAYING TO HAVE MY VEHICLE FIXED AND AVOID USING THE "GOOD WILL WARRANTY". INSTEAD I WAS LEFT DRAINING MY SAVINGS TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE AND MISS WORK SINCE MY VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I ALSO NOTICED OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO HAD A 2014 FORD FUSION HAD THE SAME ISSUES AS I DID, AND INSTEAD OF CONTACTING NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION , THEY WENT ON CARCOMPLAINTS.COM. PLEASE VIEW MY ATTACHED DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE ISSUES THAT I HAD WITH MY 2014 FORD FUSION. IF POSSIBLE I WOULD LIKE A INVESTIGATION MADE FOR A POSSIBLE RECALL, AND FINES AND PENALTIES IMPOSED IF NEEDED. LASTLY, FORD HAD SOLD MY 2014 FORD FUSION TO ANOTHER BUYER, I HAD NO IDEA IF THE BUYER WAS DISCLOSED OF MY ISSUES THAT I HAD. ON MYVEHICLEHISTORY.COM, IT STATES THAT "NO PROBLEMS" WERE REPORTED WHICH IS FALSE, SINCE I SUBMITTED ALL MY EVIDENCE TO FORD CORPORATION AND NOTHING WAS DONE. *JS
THE CAR STALLS OUT ,LIKE IT WANTS TO STOP WHEN YOU ARE TAKING OFF AND STALLS WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO GO UP HILLS SMALL HILLS ,.I FEEL LIKE MY GRANDDAUGHTER IS IN GREAT DANGER.THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE SHE BOUGHT IT .WE TAKE IT TO DEALER THEY SAY IT IS THE WAY SHE DRIVES.I AM 68 I AM A GREAT DRIVER I GOT IN IT TODAY TO GO TO STORE PARKED IT IT IS SO BAD.IT WAS SHACKING SO BAD .
PASSENGER FRONT AND REAR DOOR LATCHES HAVE FAILED WITHIN DAYS OF EACH OTHER. BOTH OR THE DOORS, AT DIFFERENT TIMES, FLEW OPEN WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OR WARNING. DOORS WILL NOT LATCH AT ALL NOW. THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS FAILURE BUT IT DOES NOT INCLUDE MY VIN...
GOODYEAR DOT MMFUJNR33815 GOODYEAR TIRE MTS/235/45R18 94V. SECOND TIRE I HAD TO REPLACE ON NEW FORD FUSION (NITROGEN). 1ST THE WHOLE SIDEWALL COMPLETELY SEPERATED FROM TIRE. SERVICE DEPT. AT FORD SAID THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN THAT HAPPEN BEFORE. SAID IT WAS A DEFECTIVE TIRE. NOW I HAVE A GOLF BALL SIZE LUMP ON MY SIDEWALL OF THE TIRE. NO APPARENT REASON. IT IS TIME FOR GOODYEAR TO BE INVESTIGATED & REIMBURSE CONSUMERS. SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE. I FOUND THE DEFECT BEFORE ANY BLOWOUT OR ACCIDENT.
THE DOOR LATCH SUDDENLY STOPPED LATCHING. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT A SHOPPING CENTER. MY PASSENGER GOT IN AND TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR AND IT WOULD NOT LATCH. TRIED CYCLING THE LOCK. TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO CLOSE AND LATCH. THE LATCH WILL NOT LOCK INTO THE CLOSED POSITION.
THE REAR, MIDDLE SEAT BELT LOCKED WHILE THE SEAT WAS DOWN, TENSIONING THE BELT BEYOND THE POINT WHERE THE SEAT CAN BE USED. THE BELT CANNOT BE LOOSENED ENOUGH TO ALLOW THE SEAT BACK TO BE LIFTED INTO THE UPRIGHT POSITION AND OBVIOUSLY CANNOT BE USED TO RESTRAIN A PASSENGER. TENSION HAD TO BE RELEASED FROM THE BOTTOM SECURING BRACKET IN ORDER TO LIFT THE SEAT BACK SO THAT A PASSENGER CAN SIT IN THE WINDOW SEAT. AT THAT POINT THE SEAT BELT WAS LOCKED WITH THE SEAT UP AND THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT CANNOT BE RELEASED TO BE USED.
ENGINE RANDOMLY STALLS WHILE DRIVING IN LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS. THE CAR IS UNDER 40,000 MILES AND HAVE BEEN FAITHFULLY SERVICED. NO ENGINE LIGHT PRESENT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT IN THE REAR SEAT WAS LOCKED AND WOULD NOT PULL OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAT BELT WAS LOCKED AND NEEDED TO BE UNLOCKED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. I DROPPED AN INK PEN BETWEEN DRIVER SEAT AND CENTER CONSOLE. WHEN REACHING FOR THE PEN WITH MY LEFT HAND, I SUFFERED A LACERATION ON THE OUTSIDE OF FIRST KNUCKLE OF MY THUMB. THERE IS A VERY SHARP, EXPOSED METAL EDGE ON THE FRAMEWORK OF THE DRIVERS SEAT.
I WAS AT MY DEALERSHIP TO HAVE MY TIRES ROTATED AND THEY STATED THAT THEY HAD DIFFICULTY GETTING MY LUG NUTS OFF. THEY STATED THAT MY LUG NUTS "WERE SWULLEN". I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE. THEY SAID THAT I NEED TO BUY NEW ONES AT A COST OF $75-$100. I WAS VERY UPSET WITH THIS AND LEFT. I LOOKED THIS PROBLEM UP ON THE INTERNET AND SEE THAT HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. IT SEEMS THAT FORD HAD A CHEAPER LUG NUT PRODUCED WITH THE NUT BEING COVERED WITH A CHEAPER MATERIAL USED TO MAKE THE CAP THAT COVERS THE NUT. MOISTURE GETS IN BETWEEN THE TWO METALS CAUSING CONDENSATION AND " SWELLING". I NOW HAVE COVERS ACTUALLY FALLING OFF THE NUT. MY QUESTION IS: WHY, IF THERE ARE SO MANY PROBLEMS THAT HAVE BEEN REPORTED, WHY HASN'T THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED/ RECALLED? WHY HASN'T THE NHTSA GOTTEN INVOLVED? WE DO PAY TAXES FOR GOV. AGENCIES TO OVERSEE SAFETY ISSUES SUCH AS THIS. OR BETTER YET, WHY HASN'T FORD STEPPED UP AND TAKEN CARE OF THIS PROBLEM? I AM THINKING OF BUYING A CHEVY NOW. THEY DON'T HAVE "SWULLEN" LUG NUTS.
THE POWER STEERING ABRUPTLY STOPPED WORKING.
FRONT DRIVER SIDE AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR STOPPED LATCHING. CANNOT SAFELY SECURE DOORS DURING TRIP. BOTH TIMES THE CAR WAS STATIONARY, THE DOORS WERE LATCHED, THEN I OPENED THEM, AND THEY JUST STOPPED LATCHING. DRIVER SIDE DOOR OCCURRED ON 8/04 AND PASSENGER DOOR ON 10/17.
THE SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM WILL NOT ACTIVATE ONCE THE CAR GOES ABOVE 6 MPH. I HAVE HANDICAPPED SON WHO ACCIDENTALLY UNPLUGGED HIS SEAT BELT AND I HAD NOT INDICATION. NO CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED FUNCTIONS LIKE THIS REGARDING SEAT BELT WARNING.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V875000 (SEAT BELTS), 17V210000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIRS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (VILLAGE FORD LOCATED AT VILLAGE FORD LOCATED AT 11660 US 441 S BELLEVIEW FL 34420) WHERE IT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL REMEDY PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. UPDATED 09/01/17*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON 7-31-2017. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE NOT FAST ENOUGH TO CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD AT THE HIGHEST SETTING IN MODERATE/HEAVY RAIN EVENTS. DUE TO THE INEFFECTIVENESS OF THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS, VISIBILITY BECOMES HORRIBLE. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE INEFFECTIVE IN SPEEDS EXCEEDING 25 MPH. SLOWING DOWN TO THIS SPEED IN TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY IS VERY DANGEROUS.
DOOR LATCH NOT WORKING. OPENED PASSENGER DOOR TO PUT PURCHASE IN FLOOR BOARD AND DOOR WOULD NOT SECURE. I HAD TO TIE THE DOOR SHUT TO RETURN TO MY PROPERTY. TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO FORD DEALERSHIP AND WAS INFORMED OF NO RECALL. PAID FOR REPAIRS AND ONE WEEK AFTER REPAIRS FORD ISSUES A RECALL FOR DOOR LATCHES THE SAME ISSUE I TOOK THE VEHICLE. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND FORD SERVICE AND AM INFORMED NO RECALL ISSUED FOR MY VIN NUMBER.
AT THE END OF JULY WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE ENTIRE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM SHUT DOWN AND THE DISPLAY READ "TEMPORARILY LOST COMMUNICATION WITH THE CLIMATE SYSTEM. I WAS DRIVING ON 45 MPH ROADS AND HAD JUST PULLED UP TO A RED LIGHT. THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING WITH THE RADIO ON BUT I WAS UNABLE TO ADJUST THE VOLUME UP OR DOWN OR TURN THE RADIO OFF. THE A/C HAD SHUT OFF ALONG WITH THE FAN AND NONE OF THE BUTTONS WORKED. ALSO COULD NOT ROLL DOWN THE POWER WINDOWS FROM THE DIVERS SEAT, ALL THE BUTTONS AND SCREEN WERE FROZEN. TURNED THE CAR ON AND OFF MULTIPLE TIMES OVER THE NEXT 24HRS BUT SYSTEM WOULD NOT RE-SET. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE SYSTEM RE-SET WHEN I STARTED THE CAR. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY TROUBLE CODES. CALLED FORD MOTOR CO. AND THEY SAID THAT THEY HAD NEVER ENCOUNTERED THIS PROBLEM AND COULD OFFER NO ASSISTANCE IF NO TROUBLE CODE WAS FOUND EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS STILL UNDER THE WARRANTY PERIOD. NOT HAVING A/C, HEAT, OR THE DEFROSTER I BELIEVE COULD PLACE ME OR MY FAMILY IN A VERY DIFFICULT IF NOT DANGEROUS SITUATION. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS REPORTED A SIMILAR ISSUE.
WHEN MY SON WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE STEERING ASSIST INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON WITHOUT NOTICE AT WHICH TIME HE WAS UNABLE TO EASILY STEER THE CAR. HE MANAGED TO GET THE CAR INTO A NEARBY PARKING LOT WHERE WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A FORD DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE STEER GEAR FAILED AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. EVEN THOUGH THERE A REGIONAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NO 15R01, FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THIS GEAR, MY REPAIRS WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THIS PROGRAM BECAUSE THE GEAR DIDN'T FAIL AS A RESULT OF FAULT BOLTS. I CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND AND EXPERIENCED GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IN DEALING WITH THE PROBLEM, AT WHICH TIME I WAS TRANSFERED TO TJ BREWER (THOMAS), THE GENERAL MANAGER FOR THE WEST MARKET. I NEVER SPOKE WITH TJ AS SOMEONE NAMED MARK ANSWERED AND INDICATED THAT HE WOULD BE HAPPY TO GET THINGS STARTED FOR ME AND PASS IT ALONG TO TJ. MARK WAS RUDE AND BELITTLING. HE ACTED LIKE I WAS TRYING TO GET A FREE HANDOUT AND TOLD ME THAT MY REQUEST FOR REPAIR FOR THE KNOWN STEER GEAR FAILURE HAS BEEN DENIED. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH TJ AND MARK SAID THAT HE HAD ALL OF THE AUTHORITY TO APPROVE OR DENY MY REQUEST AND THAT NO EFFORT OF MY OWN WOULD OVER-RIDE HIS DECISION. I ASKED HIM IF THERE WAS ANY MANAGER THAT I COULD SPEAK WITH AND HE TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE ALL BUSY AND HE WOULD HAVE THEM CALL ME BACK. I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM MARK, TJ OR HIS MANAGER YET. I FOLLOWED UP WITH A CALL INTO FORD MOTOR COMPANY AGAIN, WHERE I MY SITUATION WAS HANDLED EXPERTLY AGAIN BUT TOLD THAT TJ WOULD BE THE LAST AUTHORITY AND HAVE THE FINAL SAY ON WHETHER FORD WAS GOING TO DO THE RIGHT THING OR NOT.
VEHICLE STATIONARY, ENGINE IDLING WHEN "POWER STEERING ASSIST" FAILURE MESSAGE APPEARS, WITH SUBSEQUENT LOSS OF POWER STEERING. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN 3 DAY, SEPARATE OCCASIONS, AFTER DRIVING ON INTERSTATE FOR APPROX. 1 HR, SAME SETTING. FORD DEALERSHIP WAS INFORMED ABOUT IT ON THE FIRST OCCASION DURING A SCHEDULED 80,000 MILE MAINTENANCE, HOWEVER THEY STATED VEHICLE WAS OK, AND READY TO DRIVE. MILEAGE AT THE TIME OF FIRST INCIDENT WAS APPROX. 80,947. ARRIVAL MILEAGE AT FORD DEALERSHIP WAS 81,043. ON 7/13/16
HEADLINER FALLING. THE HEADLINER IS FALLING AT THE EDGE OF THE DOORS AND ALL AROUND THE SUNROOF. IT SAGGED SO BADLY BEHIND THE SUNROOF THAT IT DETACHED FROM THE ROOF AND WAS BLOCKING MY REAR VIEW IN THE MIRROR. WORRIED THAT IT COULD FALL AWAY FROM ROOF COMPLETELY AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. FROM ONLINE SEARCHES IT IS A COMMON ISSUE.
THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WILL RETRACT AND LOCK FOR NO REASON UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. ATTEMPTS TO FIX THE PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING CONSISTS OF REMOVING THE SEAT BELT LETTING IT RETRACT ALL THE WAY UP THEN TRY TO BUCKLE IT BACK IN PLACE. THE LAST TIME ABOUT A WEEK AGO THE REMEDY DID NOT WORK, AND THE SEAT BELT REMAINED LOCK IN THE RETRACTED POSITION AND WOULD NOT RELEASE. THIS FORCED MY WIFE TO DRIVE HOME WITHOUT A SEAT BELT.
SEVERAL TIMES MY POWER STEERING HAS SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING ALMOST GETTING ME INTO AN ACCIDENT TWICE LUCKILY THIS HAD YET TO HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AS THAT COULD BE FATAL
THE O2 SENSOR HAS BURNT OUT, & HAS BEEN BURNT OUT FOR A WHILE. AFTER REFUELING AT ANY GAS STATION THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START UP IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE KEY IS TURNED. IT TAKES SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET THE ENGINE TO RECIEVE FUEL & TO TURN OVER, AND EVEN THEN IT STRUGGLES TO START UP OR KEEP RUNNING. I HAVE TRIED DIFFERENT PATTERNS OF PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL, ALTERNATING PRESSURE & TIME WITHOUT FINDING A RELIABLE METHOD. THE VEHICLE HAS TURNED OFF IF I DO NOT KEEP THE MPH ABOVE 15MPH FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES, & IF I STOP FOR LONGER THAN 60SECONDS, IT SOMETIMES TURNS OFF. THIS HAS CAUSED ISSUES IN LIGHT TRAFFIC, ESPECIALLY WITH THE DIFFERENCE IN SPEED BETWEEN MY CAR SHUTTING OFF & COASTING, & CARS PASSING AT 25MPH OR GREATER. THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE O2 SENSOR HAS ISSUES, BUT MY PERSONAL MECHANIC HAD CONFIRMED THE ISSUE AFTER I HAD THE VEHICLE INSPECTED AT A BRANCH OF THE AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR CHAIN MIDAS. AFTER HAVING THE SENSOR REPLACED AT MEINEKE IN SEPT 2016, IT BURNT OUT AGAIN IN OCTOBER 2016. ATTACHED IS THE REPAIR RECIEPT WHICH WE FINALLY FOUND TODAY WHILE PACKING FOR OUR MOVE.
2014 FORD FUSION TITANIUM 2.0 TURBO 5/29/16 COMING OFF FREEWAY @ 70MPH WENT TO APPLY BRAKES AND PEDAL WAS HARD , UNABLE TO SLOW DOWN ON LOOP. I COULD HAVE CRASHED AND DIED DUE TO THIS FAILURE. FINALLY PUSHED PEDAL WITH A LOT OF EFFORT AND ABS KICKED IN TO SLOW ME DOWN BEFORE THE STOP SIGN. TOOK TO DEALER ON 5/30/16, DIAGNOSIS WAS VACUUM PUMP FAILURE, NEW PART WAS ORDERED. 7/5/16 GOT A CALL FROM DEALER SHOP MANAGER WHO BASICALLY SAID THE PART WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THERE WERE METAL SHAVINGS IN THE MOTOR BEHIND WHERE THE PUMP SITS, CLAIMING DIRTY OIL CAUSED PREMATURE ENGINE WEAR. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO VIEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. THE MANAGER ASKED THE MECHANIC IF THAT WERE POSSIBLE AND HE REPLIED YES. HE SAID HE REPLACED 3 RECENTLY WITH THE SAME ISSUE METAL SHAVINGS BEHIND PUMP. MY CAR WAS ALSO IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE. THE MOST IRRITATING THING WAS BEING BLAMED FOR THE PROBLEM, HE STATED MY ENGINE WILL FAIL AND I SHOULD TRADE IT IN WHILE I WAS TALKING ON THE PHONE WITH HIM PRIOR TO GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS BLAMED AND HE USED SCARE TACTICS TO TRY AND GET ME TO MAKE A PURCHASE. NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN AT A FORD DEALER BEFORE. STILL WAITING FOR THE CALL SAYING MY CAR IS REPAIRED. THE MANGER AGREED TO REPLACE THE PUMP UNDER WARRANTY

THE RIGHT SIDE REAR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH BROKE AND THE DOOR SWUNG OPEN WHILE DRIVING. I HAD TO TIE THE DOOR SHUT TO GET TO THE DEALER. THANKFULLY MY SON WAS SECURELY IN A CAR SEAT BECAUSE HE SITS NEXT TO THIS DOOR. DEALER STATES THAT MY SPECIFIC CAR IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. I HAVE TO PAY $540 FOR THE LATCH.

TO AVOID A MAJOR ISSUE BEFORE IT GETS WARMER, I TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD DEALER YESTERDAY (3/21) BUT DUE TO THEIR HAVING A BACKLOG, THEY WERE UNABLE TO ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE CAR YET THEY KEPT THE CAR ALL AFTERNOON. THEN THEY CALLED AND SAID THEY WOULD NEED TO KEEP IT TILL THE NEXT DAY. WE CHOSE TO GO GET THE CAR AND TAKE IT BACK TODAY (3/22). THE SERVICE MGR. CALLED THIS MORNING LETTING ME KNOW THAT THE "WATER RUNNING SOUND" IS NORMAL IN THE 2014 MODEL. THEN HE STATED WITH A CHUCKLE THE SOUND IS "LIKE LITTLE ROACHES RUNNING AROUND IN THE DASHBOARD" AND HIS SERVICE TECH FOUND DOCUMENTATION ISSUED BY FORD ENGINEERING CONFIRMING THIS SOUND IS NORMAL. MIND YOU THIS PERSON IS A PROFESSIONAL....HE MAKES A COMMENT AS THIS! I LET HIM KNOW WE HAD PREVIOUSLY OWNED A 2007 FORD FUSION AND NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE. HE HAD NOTHING TO SAY. I FIND HIS COMMENT SOMEWHAT COMICAL BUT VERY INSULTING; AND I ASKED HIM TO EMAIL ME THE DOCUMENTATION. IMMEDIATELY I CALLED THE SALESMAN AND HE IS GOING TO CHECK INTO THIS FURTHER AND GET BACK TO ME. MEANTIME I HAVE FOUND ZILCH ABOUT THE ISSUE.

LOST ALL ABILITY TO MANEUVER THE CAR SAFELY OR SAFELY TRANSITION OUT OF TRAFFIC. NEEDED EXCESSIVE STRENGTH TO ENABLE THE CAR TO TURN AND SAFELY EXIT ROADWAY.

HAVE REPLACE LUG NUTS A FEW TIMES (FACTORY ISSUED) THEY KEEP SWELLING AND CRACKING(2016,2017& 2019). OIL LEAK BETWEEN THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION(6/1/19). DATES VARIES. PROBLEMS STILL EXIST AND ON GOING.
I KEEP GETTING A SERIES OF WARNING INDICATORS; UP HILL ASSIST IS NOT AVAILABLE, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAK , NO POWER STEERING, NO TRACTION CONTROL, NO ABS, AND THE NO AIR BAG LIGHTS COME ON. THIS COMES ON WHILE DRIVING AT NORMAL, LOW SPEED ON REGULAR ROADS, WHEN TURNING AND ALSO AT HIGHER SPEEDS WHEN DRIVING ON EXPRESSWAYS. THIS IS DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY BECAUSE MY POWER STEERING DOES NOT WORK! THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL!

I HAVE BROUGHT MY CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP (AS EARLY AS THE 2ND/3RD DAY OF OWNERSHIP) SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT ANY RESOLUTION. IT'S GOTTEN TO THE POINT THAT I PURCHASED A SPECIAL TOOL TO BREAK THE CAR WINDOW. THIS CAN CAUSE A DEATH. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OF TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON SEVERAL TIMES THE SYSTEM WOKE UP. I ROLLED THE WINDOWS DOWN AND PURCHASED THE WINDOW BREAKING TOOL.
