NHTSA Owner Complaint Log
This page lists owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA for the 2016 Ford Fusion. Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA and do not by themselves prove a defect or defect rate.
The car is missing on cylinder #1 and showing signs of a blown head gasket. Car will stall at random times as well. This is car has a the 1.5 ecoboost with a flway in the block design. Ford told me because of the flaw that I would have to purchase a new engine. There is currently a TSB out for this exact reason, yet ford wants me to pay for their mistake.
At times when i put the car in gear & other times when i am actually driving, all of the warning lights & alarms (Rear Park Aid, ABS, Hill Start Assist Not Available, Service Advance Trac, & Stability Control Off), come on all at the same time. When these lights & alarms pop on, the steering gets a little harder, not losing all power steering, but again, the steering is a little harder & i don't think that's a good thing to have happen. Also while driving, the Anti-Lock Break System starts clicking. And sometimes when i start to mash on the break peddle, the peddle kind of drops down a little. Not to the point where it has caused the breaks to lock up, but i'm still not comfortable with that. If you were to do an online search of this problem you will see that several people are complaining about this same problem. I have reported this problem to my Ford Service Center, Southworth Ford in Marion, IN, as early as March of this year & the latest report 10/4/21, but they say they can't find anything wrong right now, but for me to document every time it happens, even after i have tried to show them the videos of this problem stored on my phone. I also contacted the Auto Safety Center, & they were the ones who directed me to you. I wish that i knew how to share the videos that i have with you, but i have not learned how to do that as of yet. Thank you for your time & all that you all do to keep us safe on the road. God Bless you all! Have a Blessed weekend!
The rear camera works when it want the transmission to sound and make sudden movements
I’m not certain how or when but the hood sensor must be wrong because it always says the hood is open no matter how I close it
While driving to pick up my wife from work, I was not able to accelerate past 35-40 mph. Upon arriving home, we noticed that the brake lights were staying on. We took the car to our local Ford dealer and was told it was a stop lamp switch pad that had broken off and that, unfortunately, the pad was not sold separately, I would need to purchase the entire brake pedal assembly and pay for the labor to have it installed ($585.11). Shortly after this occurred I found that 2013-2015 models of the Ford Fusion (same body) had been recalled for the same issue. The pad becomes brittle and breaks apart when the car is predominantly in hot and humid climates. I live in Deep South Texas where temperatures and humidity hover around 100 degrees for 10 months a year. I believe other model years should be added to the recall list. Not being able to accelerate could have caused an accident.
I've had my ford for almost a year and found that coolant was getting into my engine and causing it to overheat and went to get it checked out at a Ford dealership only for them to tell me I would have to buy a new engine I can't afford. I've been looking online at all the problems that could arise if I don't switch the engine like the car starting on fire in hot summer days and can't afford to buy a new car as I had to get a loan for it and can't even drive it much for worry of anything happening. It's my main source of transportation to work and without it I could lose my job. I can't afford to get a new car and another loan for that as well while paying for my ford's loan. I've tried to do research for a recall on the engine but nothing seems to be showing up and I don't know what to do but just keep driving the car and continuously filling the coolant waiting for the day my engine fails on me or it starts on fire and maybe my insurance will cover the costs. I really enjoy the car and have had other ford's before but for the dealership to sell me a car that would fail on me and have me pay more for an engine is not right. This isn't okay and I'm in a situation I can't get out of without being put more into debt with getting more loans.
The contact's wife owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the front driver’s side door and rear passenger’s side door failed to close and lock securely. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the door actuators had failed, and the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V177000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The dealer also advised the contact that he would be responsible for the cost of the repair because the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified the failure but referred the contact to NHTSA. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 117,600.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at approximately 65 MPH, the engine started to misfire, and the vehicle stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the power steering and brakes functioned as needed. The contact was able to pull over safely. The contact stated that he was able to restart the vehicle after numerous attempts however, the RPM’s were fluctuating. The contact stated that the engine was idling rough for about 15 minutes. The contact stated that the misfire and stalling failure were intermittent but were more frequent during cold weather starts. The contact had not taken the vehicle to be diagnosed by a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact had been advised over the phone by a manufacturer’s representative that the failure was known and diagnosed in Technical Service Bulletin Number: 192139. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 123,000.
Defect in engine design allowed coolant to leak into cylinder. There have been recalls on the 1.6L and 2.0L ecoboost engines but not the 1.5L for the same issue. I was advised that his could cause the engine to misfire and overheat possibly causing a fire. A quick search revealed several incremental TSB, 21-2269 is the latest, regarding this issue. This happened with approx 57,000 miles and 5 years 6 months on the car. The only fix was a complete engine swap.
Shifter cable link bushing broke. I noticed the problem when I got back into my car, after fueling. The car turned on. But the shifter was really loose and would not shift into drive, or any gear. I searched for the "symptom" online and found there was a recall for the bushing on the shifter link cable issue. I checked the part in my engine compartment and they separated, confirming a break In the link. I happened to be close to an auto parts store so I went and purchased the bushing. After replacing/fixing the issue next to the gas pump, I proceeded to the ford dealership so they could do a proper fix as per the recall. When I arrived at the dealership, they stated my cars VIN# was not part of the recall, which I did not understand why, since the same exact problem for the recall had just happened to my car as the other cars with the same year, model and issue as on the recall. I had the ford dealership fix the problem because I did not want to get into an accident on the road. Since as per the recall the car not being able to shift could cause a real dangerous situation.
The trunk lid randomly pops open on it's own requiring you to stop, get out and close it. It has happened repeatedly both when driving and when the car is parked. It does not seem to happen if all of the doors are locked. When it does happen it obscured the rear view and can create an unsafe situation when you have to stop on the road. It has happened many times over the past year.
I'm just wondering how it is even remotely legal to sell a vehicle, whether used or new, with current open recalls. When I purchased my vehicle through Triple J Auto in Guam, they never informed me of any open recalls when I purchased the vehicle. Technically the car was in a used status, but, coming from the Department of Highway SAFETY, it seems preposterous that you would allow any vehicle to be sold with open recalls against the vehicle. I am just looking for any information as to how this could have gone unresolved for over three years, without me just looking up the VIN on a random day. Thank you
Driving on internet highway at approximate 65 mph, the car shut off. I coasted to the roadside in heavy traffic. after many tries, the car restarted and got off the thruway and drove home. This car has 21907 miles on it. I made an appointment at Gary Crossley Ford in Kansas City, Mo. They told me it was a fuel faulty purge valve, and because the car with 21907 miles on it was out of warranty and would cost $870.00. I have since researched the purge valve and find that it is a pretty common event to shut the car off on crowded highways. This is a serious and dangerous problem. When I called Ford Dearborn to check if there was a recall, I was told it wasn't a problem.
Water seeping into cylinders causing engine warning light, missing, stalling and lost horsepower. Problem was found upon Dealership doing a pressure test and removing spark plugs to see the issue and confirmed. Water loss was being noticed during oil changes couple years before this incident. Last oil change 1200 miles ago noticed a big loss of water in the reservoir. First warning light appear 2 months ago but cleared a couple days later until this last warning light a week ago with noticeable performance issue.
Stopped at store and placed the vehicle in park. After taking foot off break vehicle rolled forward. Shifter handle was in the park position but the dash indicator showed the vehicle was in neutral. Applied the emergency break to prevent vehicle from rolling further. Attempted to shift through gear selector and back to park but the shifter handle would not move out the park position. The following recall (18S20) has been issued but according to Ford it does not apply to my vehicle. The bushing that attaches the transmission shifter cable to the transmission may degrade over time and cause the bushing to detach from the transmission. The condition could allow the driver to move the shift lever to Park and remove the ignition key, while the transmission may not be in Park, with no warning message or audible chime. Based on the number of complaints on this sight the recall affects most if not all Ford Fusions. Paid for repairs, but Ford will not reimburse cost. By the way parts totaled $7.64 small price for Ford to pay to protect its customers and the public.
I was driving in the freeway, and then suddenly a red alert message popped in my speedometer saying to stop, and I couldn’t accelerate no more. At the time I was going 70mph and then the message appeared and I could accelerate no more, the car didn’t recognize the pedal. It happened yesterday. I never had that happened to me. I have 74k miles in the car
While driving, my car stalled the for the first time without warning when I was turning into a parking lot (luckily). This was scary because I frequently drive to work using the nearby interstate. Is there a recall for my car??
I drove the vehicle 2 miles to a nearby shopping center. I came out 15 minutes later and tried to start the car. Immediately flashing on the console was a large yellow wrench, message telling me to stop the vehicle immediately, pull over, errors with steering system, errors with side impact system and various other errors flashed. I tried to put the car in drive and it automatically went back into Accessory mode and flashed the same error messages telling me to stop driving. The steering was locked and unable to steer. Had it towed to the Ford dealer. They let it sit for 4 hours and then called to say they could see no issue as it started just fine. The next day they called and said they saw the issue 3 different times and saw communication errors in the car computer. They cleared the errors and let it sit over the weekend. They called several days later and said they had driven it 25 miles with no errors seen. I do not trust this car as safe on the road. If I had been on the highway, I would have locked up the steering and lost all power. It's not safe to drive until Ford finds the cause. I filed a complaint with Ford headquarters and was given a case number with high priority. The regional service manager is being enlisted to figure this out. I've alerted the sales director that I won't be buying another Ford until we find the problem. I've alerted other dealer executives to get involved.
In September 2021 my 2016 Ford Fusion that has a 1.5L Eco boost engine had white smoke emitting from the exhaust. A check engine light came on and a test revealed that the #3 spark plug or ignition coil as bad. I had all spark plugs and ignition coils replaced. The light went off and three days later the check engine light came back on. We took it to Bob Tomes Ford 950 S Central Expy, McKinney, TX 75072. A Service inspection revealed that engine coolant was leaking into the cylinders and could potentially cause engine over heating and possibly a fire. This has been a known problem and numerous Service Bulletins (TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 1.5L EcoBoost - Low Coolant, White Exhaust Smoke And/Or Illuminated MIL - Built On Or Before 06-Apr-2019 19-2139) have been released on this issue, A compete engine replacement is the only repair option due to the original engine design since 2010 was a defective design which Ford actually recalled in the 1.6L engine but not the 1.5L. Ford Motor Company requires the consumer to bare the cost of repairs. My vehicle warranty was out by 2 months when this problem started at 82,000 miles. There is currently a law suit filed for this issue in U.S District Court for the Eastern District of California, Case # 2-2021cv00468. filed March 15, 2021.
The contact’s daughter owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while her daughter was shifting gears, the shifter cable fractured. The vehicle was towed to an unknown local dealer and diagnosed with a deterioration of the shifter cable. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred several times. The contact stated that zip ties were used to hold the shifter cable in place. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V471000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 83,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that all four lug nuts were swollen. The contact stated while having a tire replacement by a towing company, the driver was made aware that there was an issue with removing the lug nuts. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer and the contact was informed to contact the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA. The failure mileage was 53,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the gear shifter was stuck in park(P). There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and diagnosed with a defective shifter cable bushing. The contact was then informed that the vehicle was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V362000 (Power Train) and the vehicle was repaired. Recently, the contact stated that the vehicle would lunge forward while in park(P). Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V413000 (Power Train). The contact called the dealer and the manufacturer and was informed that his vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
Vehicle is a Plug In Hybrid, it was left in the garage (first floor of the house) overnight charging the EV battery. Sometime in the night, plugged in, no key in the ignition, the engine started and ran until it ran out of gas (in the garage with the door closed and my son sleeping on the 2nd floor over the garage). We were lucky no one died of carbon monoxide poising. In the morning the 12v engine battery was dead, smelled like it may burned up, my guess is the battery dying confused the computer. The vehicle is out of warranty, taking it to the dealer will cost me $1,000. I'm guessing that replacing the 12V battery will fix it (which is a lot cheaper). I don't plan on ever putting it back in the garage but someone needs to warn everyone else that has one of these!
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V471000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The contact mentioned that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact’s wife experienced a failure while driving into work when she turned into the parking lot, placed the vehicle in park, released her foot off the brake pedal and the vehicle started to rollaway. The contact engaged the parking brake to stop the vehicle from rolling away. The vehicle was not repaired nor diagnosed. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the recall was not related to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,590.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while she was stopped at a red light, the vehicle temporarily shuddered and stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The check engine warning light illuminated. The contact was able to continue to drive the vehicle. The contact also stated that she saw smoke coming out of the exhaust of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the short block needed to be replaced due to a coolant leak. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they would assist with the repair of the vehicle. The contact was awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately 30mph when the vehicle failed to brake while the brake pedal was depressed. The contact was able to pull over and drive to a local mechanic where it was diagnosed with needing a brake hose replaced. The contact stated no warning lights were illuminated The manufacturer was informed of failure and told the contact that they were unable to assist. The failure mileage was approximately 195,610.
Vehicle is not cooling off
throttle body-wpc part ds7z9e926d The throttle control element failed. Traveling on highway going about 45mph and engine jolted lost power and immediately reduced speed to about 10mph (,if car behind me was close would have ran into the rear of my car ) Car was running very rough -Coasted to side of highway - shut car down and restarted , Car was ok for about a mile - same thing again but was able to make it home very slowly, engine running very rough. Garage replaced throttle control element. Running ok now. Incident was very scary and could have easily caused an accident.
Coolant leaked into engine causing cylinder 2 misfire and is now requiring an 8 thousand dollar repair for the whole engine.
The bushing that attaches the transmission shifter cable to the transmission may degrade over time and cause the bushing to detach from the transmission. The condition could allow the driver to move the shift lever to Park and remove the ignition key, while the transmission may not be in Park, with no warning message or audible chime. Recall 18S20 did not apply to my vehicle but my vehicle has the same problem.
Rear door will close completely but the latch will not hold the door closed. It reopens when you step away.
Backup camera works intermittently. 75% of the time I get a blank screen with a message to contact a dealer for service. 25% of the time it works. I've been to a dealership to get it fixed and they were unable to fix it.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the passenger’s side front door would not securely latch when closed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and remained at the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and suggested that the contact take the vehicle to a dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V177000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The failure mileage was approximately 89,000.
Three of four door locks have malfunctioned. As well as electric driver side seat. We have fixed two at our expense, they are obviously defective. Unable to lock doors, a person could fall out. Dealer has confirmed issue and has attempted to get Ford to take responsibility. Has not been confirmed by police, etc No warning lights. Similar vehicles have had same issue and have been recalled. I don’t think we should have to pay for this expense when there is a known issue. We are requesting that this lock gets repaired and we are reimbursed for other two locks to be reimbursed. Thank you for your time. Vickie
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the driver’s front door failed to unlatch as needed. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The dealer determined that the latch was faulty. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V331000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
My climate control does not work Radio volume does not work and windows are locked unfortunately I roll down my windows when this happened and now they’re stuck open this has been occurring off and on I know this is happening to others as well something needs to be done. For all I know my airbags and we’re not working is this malfunction
Purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion SE in July of 2021. First week I had the car the engine didnt crank/start. Took it to the dealership that I bought it from they sent me to their mechanic and was told nothing was wrong with it. Happened the third week of purchase went back to the dealership and was told to use my warranty and to take it to Ford. Took it to Ford and was told it had high resistance in my negative terminal in the battery. (First attempt August 2021) I was charged $400 to get the corrosion clean and put a coat on the terminal for protection. A week later my engine didnt start again. Had this problem for several weeks, one day the engine would start the next it wouldnt. I called Ford and was told to bring it back. (Second attempt Oct 2021) Ford told me they diagnosed the car and didnt find any codes to lead to the problem. Kept telling me the engine was starting when they had it but when i went to pick it up it wouldnt for me. (Third attempt Nov 2021) Went picked my car up from Ford on a Monday morning because it was ready and that they still didnt find anything wrong with it and it was starting up just fine. Leaving from work Monday night engine didnt start had to get it towed again to Ford Tuesday morning. I have called Ford headquarters to file a complaint. Do not purchase a Fusion they are terrible cars and Ford theirselves cant even find out what the issue is with the vehicle.
Coolant is leaking into one of the cylinders which requires a full engine rebuild.
When driving my 2016 Ford Fusion, the Transmission Not In Park light comes on without any other warnings. This is unsafe because it stops accelerating. Most times I'm on the freeway. This is a safety issue that has been happening for about 2 years now. The dealerships tell me that they can't fix it because the safety issue does not occur when they have the vehicle and cant read any codes. One Ford dealership sold me a radiator and told me that was the issue. A different Ford dealership told me that it has nothing to do with the radiator. No one seems to be able to repair this safety problem that I am experiencing. Another Ford dealership told me that there is a recall but my VIN Number does not fall in that recall. How can I get my vehicle associated with the recall and have it repaired. I feel so unsafe driving especially in construction zones where I am unable to pull over. Once I coast across traffic to pull off the road I stop the engine. It starts right back up. This is unsafe. No vehicle should stop accelerating while driving. The service lady at the dealership where I purchased the vehicle stopped returning my phone calls. How can this safety issue be rectified as soon as possible. I feel very unsafe driving this vehicle.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while reversing out of a parking space, the contact shifted from reverse to drive and the vehicle did not respond, and the vehicle started to roll backward. The contact depressed the brake pedal and shifted the vehicle into the park. The vehicle continued to roll backward and eventually stopped and would not move. The contact restarted the vehicle and the vehicle failed to move. The contact had the vehicle towed to the local dealer to be inspected. The vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the shift cable bushing fractured and caused the shift cable to detach. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
Plastic bushing broke off transmission linkage. This cause the car to be unable to change gears. Luckily for us it happened when we parked the car, therefore it was stuck in park and had to be towed to the dealership. If it happened while driving, might have been more dangerous. There is a recall for this, but only for 2.5l engines for some reason. I have the 1.5l engine.
My fusion has had a rough idle when starting for the past year. I took it in to the mechanic and they said the problem was due to a backfire. They replaced the spark plugs and coils for around $500-$600. About 5 months later, I get e check engine light and a warning that the engine is overheating. Take it to the mechanic, where they figured out that this consistent issue is due to a head gasket leak, where coolant is going into the engine. From doing research, I have noticed that Ford Fusions with an eco boost engine have a poor engine manufacture and that this issue is prevalent in most eco boost engines. The new fix seems to be ranging from $1,200, and I have tried to diagnose this issue multiple times. This isn't easily distinguished by the engine warning, and can run the risk of drivers driving with lower amounts of engine coolant. If the engine overheats it can make the engine catch on fire. Although this did not happen to me yet, it has been months to diagnose this issue, only to find out that it is due to the engine model, and that leaving it untreated can cause serious damage to me and the engine.
A number of times last summer when really hot with the car out in the sun, the driver side seat belt would not pull open enough to allow buckling. One time I had just enough room to buckle, but it was a very tight and uncomfortable restraint. Must be the spring retracting mechanism? Was fine all fall and winter, but can’t risk not being repaired/replaced.
Internal coolant leak inside cylinder causing misfire told engine could catch fire
My vehicle has suffered the same Transmission Linkage bushing problem as other Ford Fusions that have been recalled to replace the bushing. When I went to the Ford Dealership in Quincy, MA, they informed me that my 2016 Ford Fusion is not on a recall for the defective bushing since it wasn't manufactured in one of the 2 plants listed for the defective bushing recall. This needs to be addressed so that all Ford Fusions no matter where they are assembled are included in the recall. I had a private mechanic charge me to re-attached the linkage to the transmission, only to have the bushing pop off again a day later. Since then, I have re-attached the linkage a dozen times. I finally went to the Ford dealer and bought the new improved bushing and new cover cap.
Coolant leaking into engine, 5 year old car with only 50K miles. Tons of information online about similar issues around the country but Ford has not acknowledged that it’s a design flaw. Local dealer wants 10K dollars to replace engine.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while the vehicle was in park and idling, the contact shifted the gear shifter into reverse however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact shifted the vehicle into PARK when the vehicle started rolling backward. The parking brakes were activated to stop the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and became aware that the shifter cable had detached. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000.
After backing into the road to leave a driveway I shifted the gear shift down into the drive position but the transmission only shifted to neutral. The car would not shift into drive or reverse and had to be pushed out of the road. With my car in the road I had to get out and wave other vehicles around my vehicle while calling for assistance to get my vehicle out of the road. My attempt to keep other vehicles from hitting my car, or hitting me while it was unable to be driven off the road to safety. After getting my car to a Ford dealership I was informed that a bushing had deteriorated on the shifter cable causing it to detach from the transmission. When I look this problem up online it says there is a recall for Ford Fusions manufactured at the Hermosillo plant between Feb. 9, 2012 and April 4, 2016. My car was manufactured at the Hermosillo plant in January of 2016 but my VIN is not included in this recall. I called Ford customer service, but all they can say is my car isn't included in the recall and they are unwilling or unable to provide with the the details that would exclude my vehicle. I would like to file this as a complaint that this vehicle should be covered under the recall and requests the specifics of the recall so that I might understand why my vehicle is not included. It is the right year, make, model... made at the assembly plant included and has the very specific problem for which the vehicles were recalled.
The transmission shifter bushing is made of plastic, degraded and broke off. Please look at other Ford Fusion trims from 2013-2016. Ford posted this as a recall for some trims but for some reason not for my vin but it’s the same crap design.
The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V362000 (Power train) and the vehicle was taken to the local dealer for recall repair; however, the local dealer informed the contact that they could not repair the vehicle because the vehicle was not affected by the recall. The contact stated that a year later, the vehicle started lunging forward while shifting into drive. Additionally, the contact stated that the gear shifter would emit vibrating sounds and the vehicle would shudder while driving. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had increased in intensity and frequency. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer and the manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 49,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
